The crimson blade stopped mere millimeters from Anakin's neck, the lightsaber trembled slighly in the hands of Severous. Anakin looked up, expecting to see one last look of triumph on Severous' face, but instead he saw utter confusion.

Bane snarled, then ignited his lightsaber and stood infront of Anakin. "If you will not finish your task Severous, I will do it myself. When we return, you should expect your punishment to be severe."

Severous blinked, his mind was whirling around, something was fighting back against the darkness. The voice in the back of his head, screaming for his attention. Severous gripped his saber tighter, willing the voice to keep quiet. Instead, it only grew louder, until the sound nearly shattered his eardrums.

Bane nearly blanched, it couldn't be he thought. Kenobi could not be coming back, it just wasn't possible, not without memories, and he had wiped those out. Growling, Bane swung his lightsaber down, aiming for the flesh of Anakin's neck.

Banes blade was intercepted by a blood red blade, a look of disbelief covered Bane's face as he stared into the blue yellow eyes of his apprentice. "Severous, what do you think you are doing." Bane could barely keep the fear out of his voice.

Severous blinked again, realisation dawing at what he had done. "You said this honor was mine, my master, do not take it away from me now." Bane sighed inwardly, he had worried for nothing. He couldn't help the still uneasiness resting in his stomach, the look on Severous' face had been unsettling.

Anakin couldn't believe it, when Obi wan had blocked the blow, he thought he had obi wan back, but his words had shattered all hopes he had. Anakin hung his head, all the fight he had, left his body. It was his time and he knew it.

Ahsoka looked straight at Obi wan, but she only saw the Sith in his place. She did not know of his past, only that he had forsaken the Jedi and joined the enemy. She watched in contempt as he blocked the blow, saving her masters life. A small flicker of hope fluttered for a moment, before his ice cold words snuffed her small flame out.

Mace stared at his former friend, disbelief at what he had become. He almost smiled though, when he save Anakin, but broke when he heard the chilly words spoken. He watched his friend raise his lightsaber again, and saw it descend at breakneck speed.

"Wait!" Only the familiar voice stopped him from slicing through Anakin's neck. Severous stared at the Korun Master, the voice snapping with a familiar tone.

"Obi wan listen to me, this is not who you are, you are a Jedi Master. Why would you disown all that for the Sith."

"Don't you remember what the Sith have done to you? Your Master, Qui gon was killed by the Sith, you were targeted by the Sith. Why join the people who destroy what you loved?" Mace was desperate, anything to distract Obi wan from his task.

"Its no use Master Windu, he doesn't remember anything, Bane wiped his memory." Ahsoka and Mace turned to stare at Anakin, the news striking them hard. Severous frowned and looked to Bane before turning back to the Jedi.

"Who told you this, your Jedi council?" Anakin just gave an empty laugh, a shallow sound that echoed through the quieting force. "Your dear Master over there." Bane spun around to Severous. "Do not listen to him apprentice, he is lying to you, it is the Jedi who did that to you. Ignore the Jedi scum."

Severous stared at his master, the voice now whispering in his ears. The voice was soothing, calming his tension and nerves. He tuned out the words of his Master and the Jedi, and listened to the voice in his head.

/listen, you are Obi wan Kenobi, you are a Jedi. I am you, was you. Bane took me and you, he had us tortured until we turned against our friends and colleagues. But we held on, we stayed firm int the light, we did not let Bane get to us. In the end, he took what was dear to us, our memories. He tried to erase me, but I locked myself deep in the confines of our mind.

When you turned, I found myself lost, I could not find the light and nearly drowned in your darkness. I only managed to start reaching for you, tried unlocking memories, but you stopped me each time. But each time you were exposed to the light, I gained my strength.

Let me show you my memories, and they can be ours again./ Severous blinked in response, but his shielding stayed in place. He wanted to listen, he really did, but what if the voice was a trick. / I am not a trick Obi wan, this is who you, we, are./

The lightside pulsed in his mind, the feeling was warm, familiar and comforting. Severous made up his mind, he lowered his shields, not enough for Bane or the Jedi to notice, but enough for Kenobi to get in.

Bane noticed the tiny shift in the force,

He nudged his apprentice's mind, and blinked when he met a solid wall or steel. Bane tensed, wating for Severous to turn on him. But relaxed when he saw Severous raise his blade again.

Anakin sensed a shift, but ignored it when Obi wan raised his lightsaber. Anakin bowed his head and waited for the final blow, it never came. A gasp was heard in front of the Jedi, all three looked up at the sound.

Bane stared wide eyed at Obi wan, utter shock and pain was sketched across his face. The Jedi stared in surprise at the scene before them, Obi wan Kenobi stood in front of Bane, his lightsaber leaving a gaping hole in Banes chest.

"How dare you." Was all Bane managed to say before he crumpled to the ground. Obi wan knelt over Bane. "I'm glad you see the error of your ways Bane, you will pay for what you've done." Bane just laughed. "It's not over Kenobi, the Sith shall rise. With or without you."

Obi wan stared at Bane, the blue-yellow eyes never left the dying Sith. Anakin, Ahsoka and Mace stood up, and stood behind Obi wan. Bane made a gurgling sound, the words he was about to say died away on his lips.

Obi wan stood up, and watched as the former Sith dissolved in front of him, the bones breaking into dust at his feet.

"Obi wan?" Anakin took a tentative step forward, reaching out for Obi wan. "I failed the Jedi Anakin, I let myself turn." Anakin sighed, Obi wan was back."

Obi wan turned around, his eyes still yellow and blue. The darkness clung to him in a desparate attempt to keep its dark prince. Obi wan spotted what remained of the Jedi and Sith across the battlefield. He walked forward, his eyes resting on the still form of Master Yoda. He started running towards the prone master.

"Master Yoda!" Two Sith stood a few feet away from the Master. Obi wan ignited his saber just as the Sith attacked. His blade blocked the strike and forced the other Sith to do a double take. "Severous, what do you think you are doing?"

Yoda opened his eyes and stared at the three Sith above him, the only one that caught his eye, was the red haired man that stood over him. "I'm not Severous anymore Sith, I am Obi wan Kenobi." The lightside of the force rejoiced at the confirmation, the veil of darkness shattered as the light exploded forth in joy.

The Sith had no chance as the the light flowed around Obi wan, expelling the darkness that had purged through his veins for months. Yoda watched with slitted eyes as the light began blinding him. The Sith began screaming as the light destoyed the darkness around them, dissolving the reanimated Sith.

Anakin, along with all the other Jedi, watched in amazement as the light spiraled outwards, catching the remaining sith in the pure white energy. The light began to fade as the darkness fizzled, then winked out.

Obi wan gasped, the light slamming back into him. He dropped to his knees as his body racked from the events. The battlefield was bare, only the few surviving Jedi were around.

Anakin, Ahsoka, Mace and Yoda stood behind Obi wan, the realisation that their friend was alive brought joy, but the knowledge of him being a Sith still confused some. Obi wan remained on his knees, the knowledge of the past few months threatening to make him break down and cry.

The knowledge of all the Jedi he killed was brimming in the back of his mind, guilt overwhelming his senses as death after death repleyed over in his mind. The faces of his victims made him sick.

"Obi wan?" Yoda turned to Anakin, "Help him, we must. Need us now more than ever, he will." Anakin nodded.

"And I'll be there to help." Anakin stepped forward, and put his hand on Obi wan's shoulder. He felt his brother shudder underneath his touch. "It will be alright Obi wan. It's gonna be alright."
