Yay! I'm back! Sorry for the long hiatus. My Final Year Exams are over, I'll have more time to work on the story. I'm going to watch Thor on Sunday morning maybe I'll include Thor in the next few chapters. Enjoy!

The Avengers, X-Men plus the Stark brothers all gather in the living room of the AvengersTower.

The room is in awkward silence. All their attention are on the Stark brothers. Both Greg and Tony shrink into themselves.

"Can you guys please don't look at us like we're some kind of alien from outer space? This is ridiculous." The younger man in the spotlight tries to break the ice.

"First thing first, you said that Howard Stark is alive. How can that be? He's dead for like fifteen years!" Clint exclaimed.

"He's alive, and he's dangerous. He's the leader of the clan. His powers are way beyond me and Anthony's."

"What exactly is he planning on doing? Take over the world? Destroy man kind?"

"Not exactly, cap. But he IS trying to conquer the world, make the world a 'better' place."

No way. Not Howard. He will never do this. It had to be another person.

"How is he alive if he was buried years ago?"

"You know, with his powers, taking another body and claiming it as Howard Stark isn't that hard."

"You've said that the scar behind your shoulder was done when you were sixteen. But you were already a member of the X-Men by fifteen."

"Right. A year after I was made a member of the X-Men, Howard came and see me. The Professor knew this. He said my mother was sick and she wanted to see me. We went back home and he locked me up in his underground lair. My mother wasn't sick and she didn't even knew I was home. Howard stamped that eagle tattoo on me and forced me to work for him or he would kill everyone I cared for. Knowing what he could do, I dared not disobey him. I was both the good guy and the bad guy at the same time by then. I...I'm sorry..." Tony is unable to lock eyes with any of the X-Men. The feel of guilt rising in him.

"You don't have to be sorry about it, Tony. There's nothing you could do to stop it." Scott gives him an approving look even though Tony's not looking.

"What happened after that? Why Howard chose to fake his death?"
Steve tenses at Natasha's question.

"Our missions include killing people that hates mutants, kidnapping citizens for experimental reasons, capture scientists that might be useful in Howard's research and many more. We've made ourselves a lot of enemies and Howard was their primary target. So he decided to fake his death and appoint me as the new CEO of the company." Tony exchanges glance with Greg and he continues.

"When I was 25, I couldn't take it anymore. I disobeyed his direct orders and was severely beaten as a punishment for multiple times. He was about to kill me when Greg begged him to release me. He let me go but I was to keep my mouth shut or he'll kill Greg. You all know the story that follows."

"If he really is that dangerous, why don't we destroy his plans now?" Clint raises his bow.

"We shouldn't act rashly. He is VERY dangerous. He can absorb any form of energy. One blast of his powers can kill immediately. He can heal himself and has super strength and agility. He has this force field that can withstand a number of hits. He is practically invincible." Gregory states calmly.

"We need a plan of attack. Captain, what do you think?" Scott asks but Steve remains silent.

"Cap?"

Now everyone's attention is on Steve who is constantly uncomfortable throughout the conversation.

"Uh... Yeah. Can you guys give me a second? I need to digest everything to come up with a plan."

"Sure."

Everyone leaves the room except for Tony who walks over to Steve.

"Cap, get over it." Tony lays his hand on Steve's shoulder.

"Why... why he's changed so much? He wasn't like that. He was a great friend, a great person."

Tony sighs.

"Sometimes, people change. He didn't realize his powers back then."

"Tony, I'm sorry for what I've said back when we first met. I said bad stuffs about you... I...I'm sorry. You're a hero."

Tony chuckles slightly.

"I wouldn't say I'm a hero. After all I've done. I've killed thousands of innocent people, Steve. I'm not a hero, I'm a murderer, a villain."

"Don't say that. You're forced to kill them. Look at you now. You're a noble hero in everyone's heart. You're willing to sacrifice yourself to save others. You care for all of us. I can feel it. Don't think too much."

Tony's tears start dropping.

"I stayed back to comfort you but it seems like I'm the one who needed assurance."

Steve holds his hands and smiles.

"Both of us needed it. Let's just move on."

How is it? It's been so long that I might've forget a bit about the story. Please, do comment.
