Hello! So, how many of you guys are glad that I am updating? My two-week update hasn't been working out since I'm getting really busy lately and I have no personal time. But, I am focused on updating so here it is. Now, this chapter has been one of the hardest I have written. I know most people won't really be interested in Lily and Gejeel's group so I know I have to work double time to make this chapter interesting. So I plan this chapter to be revealing parts of Scarlet Destiny Characters backgrounds. I mean Mia and Miya are little kids and since they are they tend to spill some things ;)So, to make this chapter interesting you will be learning a lot.
This chapter is going to be so hard to do. I'm not really good with Lily's P.O.V or how he acts so if he is a bit OCC I am so sorry. I am going to try my best but it will be hard. On the bright side this got added to its second community! I hope it gets added to more soon. Anyway, here it is.
Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail but Scarlet Destiny is all mine :)
When Scarlet Destiny members such as Lucy, Ren and Kuro were with their respective teams.
Many people in Magnolia were convinced that this was the strangest day that has ever come since the town had been created. It was mostly because of strange people walking around busy streets asking if anyone had seen a specific mark that looked like a creepy Cyclops eye.
Residents in Magnolia should be used to such things since one of the most destructive guilds in existence, Fairy Tail, was located in their town. But, things were just different on this day. There people walking wound the town claiming to be from a guild named Scarlet Destiny. And, each of them were causing a trouble one way or another.
In another well-known street in Magnolia which were bustling with people all in different shapes and sizes. This street looked more like a roundabout with a big massive fountain placed in the middle of the street. The buildings hunched around the fountain which was the street's focal point. Whispers were flowing around the street like a river leading to a mass ocean.
"Have you heard?"
"Heard what?"
"About the strange people walking around Magnolia? They are going around with mages in Fairy Tail asking about a guild mark. Though no ones seen it before."
"Really? Do you think they are in a mission?"
"No idea. But you have no idea what has happened! A group of people disappeared in a dome of black shadows, two teenagers were seen in that big river near Fairy Tail guild and recently I heard these two girls started a fight beating a man to a pulp!"
"No way!? I really don't want to meet any of these people."
Similar conversations that were spoken in whispers were in this particular place. Unknown to them all, they were about to meet very people they hoped they wouldn't.
Around the corner, three people entered the street. Although, most people would considered it to be two people and one cat. The duo gathered attraction quickly and the whispers died down to hallow silence. The two people were young girls, both no older than nine.
It was the way they dressed that drew attention to them. They were dressed opposite of each other, one in full black while the other was in white. It was obvious that they were trying to look opposite to each other much like how day was the opposite of night. Between these two strange girls was a black cat that had both his hands occupied by holding each of the girl's hand.
"Do you really have to hold my hands?" the black cat grumbled lowly not all amused by being treated like this.
"Of course Lily! Your really little we don't want to lose you." the girl with the silver hair said seriously.
"Miya, you do know he can grow bigger any time he wants?" the girl with the black hair said nervously back.
"Yeah I know that Mia! But, he's too responsible to do that when he wants. He'll only do that in battle" Miya replied back.
"Hey! Don't talk about me like I'm not even here." Lily grumbled in his low voice yet again.
"Sorry." Both girls chimed one meaning it the other not so much.
Lily sighed as he quickly scanned the area looking around for Gajeel. He and his fellow team mates were really late. They were meant to be meeting Gajeel earlier but at the last minute Jared had given Mia and Miya a little errand to run. He had sent the two girls back to Scarlet Destiny guild to ask Genta and other team mates to also try to find out information about 'Lacus Animarium'. Which was the reason they were late. Lily was not looking forward to explaining this to Gajeel. Gajeel was not a patient man.
When Lily, Mia and Miya were walking towards this street they had heard all the rumours going around about Scarlet Destiny and Fairy Tail. At once Mia and Miya thought something really wrong was going on. The dome of shadows was definitely Kuro yet they had no idea why he would reveal his powers like that. With a quick discussion with each other they had decided it was probably nothing. Whatever was going on Mia and Miya knew that Kuro could handle it.
"There's Gajeel." Lily pointed out as he jerked his head to the fountain where Gajeel was sitting on the stone wall that was around it.
At once it was easy to tell that Gajeel was not happy. He had a scowl on his face as his mouth opened and closed as he was munching on something angrily. All three of them started to walk towards the black-haired man who had yet to notice them.
"Is he...Is he eating a fork?" Mia asked out in shock.
"Yes he is." Lily replied simply.
"Wow, and I though you were kidding when you told us Gajeel eats utensils." Miya said in amazing.
"Scary man seems even scarier." Mia whispered looking frightened.
"Don't worry Miya. Gajeel may look scary but he is actually quite soft inside." Lily explained.
"Yeah don't worry Mia. If that man does anything then I am taking him down." Miya replied bravely.
Finally, the three of them reached Gajeel who had caught the sight of them. His scowl deepened if that was possible and he crossed his arms over his chess.
"Where the hell have you brats been?!" Gajeel asked angrily, really not in the mood.
He had waited at the fountain like an idiot for some time and it really pissed him off that he had to wait so long for his cat and the two little kids he was determined to call brats.
"None of your business." Miya replied back her voice snarky.
"Miya, don't. You'll get him angry." Mia whispered taking a step back so she was almost hiding behind her sister.
"Gajeel, our Master sent us on an errand so that is why we are late. I am sorry we made you wait but there was no time to tell you. But, we are here now and I suggest that we should get to work and start asking around to see if we can find anything about Lacus Animarium."
Gajeel gritted his teeth together. He was not looking forward to working with these two brats. He just wasn't good with kids and the little one with silver hair was very annoying. What was even worse was the way Lily was speaking to him. Lily was his cat! Yet Lily was talking to him like he was a stranger. Gajeel didn't like this one bit. And, he had a feeling he was going to hate it even more later on.
Gajeel had a feeling it was best not to say anything for now. He had all the time in the world to fight with these brats. Plus, it wouldn't look good for a man like him to suddenly attack little kids. That would not go down well in public.
"Maybe we should introduce ourselves properly? My name is Mia Hantee. And this is my sister Miya Hantee. You already know Lily so there is no need to introduce him to you" Mia introduced themselves as she stood on her tiptoes looking over her sisters shoulder.
"Fine. Let's get to work." Gajeel mumbled not bothering to even introduce himself. They didn't need to know who he was.
"Arg, this is so dragging. Why the hell do we have to go around asking people about the guild mark? I want to fight not research something!" Gajeel complained loudly with his hands behind his head as they were still in the same area near the fountain.
"Gajeel, stop complaining like a kid." Lily said slowly as he used his paws to rub his forehead.
"Yeah, your acting like a child more than we are and we're actually are kids!" Miya said snidely as she covered her mouth with her little hand to stop the laughter that was forcing its way out of her.
"Shut up you little brat. We've been doing this for so hours! Going around house to house only told to get lost."
"Um... It's actually only been five minutes not hours." Mia said with a sweat drop.
"I don't care. I don't want to do this any more. God, I'm itching for a fight. Up for a spar Lily?" Gajeel said with a sadistic smile.
"No!" Miya said loudly as she suddenly plucked an oblivious Lily off the floor.
Lily who was walking calmly was suddenly taken a back by picked up all of a sudden. He let out a strange yelp and then glared at Miya who had an innocent look on her face as she hugged Lily to her chest.
"Lily can't spar with you. It's not just because Jared told us not to fight with Fairy Tail but it's also because Lily has gotten so much more stronger than when he first entered the guild. If you two fight you might take out most of this street which would definitely alert the magic council. We don't want that to happen." Mia explained as to why Miya reacted like that.
"Heh, it just seems Lily's getting soft letting little brats choose his battles." Gajeel scoffed back.
"Please Gajeel, we both know that's not true. I'm just wiser and know that we can't do a spar right now. Even the little 'brats' as you call Mia and Miya know better than you." Lily replied back with a stern face.
Lily wasn't use to fighting with Gajeel this way. Where he used to actually mean what he said. He and Gajeel used to get on very well so it was weird to fight like this with him. But, Lily knew if it was to stick up for Mia and Miya he would fight with Gajeel. The two little twins had welcomed him with open arms in Scarlet Destiny. They made him their mission partner. They made him feel welcome. They trusted him easily. Unlike Gajeel they believed him.
That was another thing that hadn't been brought up yet either. Lucy's supposed betrayal and killing of Elfman. Lily knew very well that Gajeel like all the others believed that Lucy killed Elfman. He didn't know why but it didn't matter anyway. Lily knew that Gajeel was not one to change his opinion just like that.
"Excuse me," started a voice that broke Lily out of his thoughts.
He and his other three team mates looked up to see an old man in front of them with dying grey hair and was holding a cane.
"What?" Gajeel asked gruffly.
"Well, I have a sweet shop not far from here and I was wondering if you want to take your two children there later if you wish. My wife sent me out for some customers you see."
Almost instantly all four of them choked on their own breaths. They couldn't believe what the old man had just said. Children? Mia and Miya were Gajeel children. All four of them could barely breathe and were coughing loudly and way too dramatically. It was way too shocking and a complete overload for their brains to handle.
"Them!? My children!?" Gajeel managed to choke "In what world would you ever thing that?!"
"For the first time I agree with metal man! Why do you think he would be our father?!" Miya cried out loud. Even Lily had to nod furiously as well. Gajeel didn't seem like the father type that much either.
"O-Oh I'm sorry. Your not father and daughter? I-I just thought so the little girl over there black hair and you look like her, I thought you two were his daughter. My mistake."
"I understand I have the same colour hair as scary man but I don't think we look at him." Mia whimpered.
"Yeah, we don't have holes in our face!" Miya yelled out loud.
"Hey, you little brat! Watch what you say!" Gajeel shouted out at Mia, spit flying out of his mouth.
"Uh... I am again so sorry. It was my mistake. I-I'll just leave now." the old man stuttered as he started to hurry off walking away from the group of them. He didn't want to know why two little girls were walking with a strange man if he wasn't their father.
Lily knew that Gajeel wanted to follow the old man, probably to shout more at him for even thinking that Mia and Miya were Gajeel kids. He had to admit though it was funny. Really funny. A small snicker blubbered out of Lily as he felt his whole body start to shake with laughter.
"What the hell is so funny, Lily?!" Gajeel snarled.
"Nothing, nothing. Just now I think about it there is some similar physical resemblance." Lily lied followed by another snicker.
"What?! No there isn't! We look nothing alike!" Miya and Gajeel screeched together while Mia just nodded her head vigorously.
"Plus, you guys probably don't have any family any more anyway." Gajeel blurted out insensitively.
Silence. Lilly's roaring laughter stopped at once. He just quickly turned his gaze to Mia and Miya who just stood there still and firm in place like frozen statues.
"What do you mean?" Miya asked slowly finally breaking the deafening silence.
Gajeel re-said what he had just said out loud his head and then cursed in his mind loudly. He may not like what the two little brats but he shouldn't have brought up the subject like that. It was a spur of the moment, something that he thought at once he should take back. He knew what it felt like to be alone. He felt that emotion every well when his dragon disappeared.
"I meant as in... You're in a guild at such a young age. I'm guessing the reason for this is because you lost...your parents."
More silence.
"Forget it. Pretend I never brought it up." Gajeel grumbled as he swiftly turned around from Mia and Miya and took a step forward.
"Our parent's are still alive." Mia said speaking up loudly for once.
This simple sentence stopped Gajeel in his tracks. He spun around to look at the pair of girls who were staring blankly at him, showing they had mastered the poker face rather well. Even Lily was looking at them worriedly. He didn't know much about Mia and Miya's past as he like Gajeel thought that the two girls parents were dead. And, Lily had no idea how to bring that up in a conversation.
"Your saying your parents are alive? Then why are you in Scarlet Destiny? Were your parents bad to you?" Gajeel said hinting to the fact the Mia and Miya must have had abusive parents and that was why they were in a mages guild because of that.
"Don't say that!" Miya started with a hint of anger "Our parents are the kindest parent's in the world."
Now, Gajeel was even more confused. If their parents were so good then why were they in a mages guild? He was curious to find out.
"Fine, if your parents are really great then why are you in a mages guild? Why are you not with your parents?" Gajeel questioned.
"Because... they let us be in the guild because they wanted the best for us. They wanted us to have the best life ever. That's all they ever want. When they found out we had magic they let us go into the guild because they knew if they kept us then we wouldn't be able to control it. It's like when a parent has to give up their child to an orphanage because they can't financially keep the child. They love that child so much and want to keep them but they know it isn't the best if they do. That's why they give that child away. It's about the child not about what the parent thinks. We're that kind of child." Mia explained softly.
Gajeel had no idea to reply to that. He never knew his real parents and all he knew was his dragon. And, he knew that his dragon would do anything if it meant it was the best for him. He was sure though much like Lily there was way more to the story then just that.
"But that doesn't mean we won't ever see them again!" Miya said loudly with a much happier tone bringing Gajeel and Lily's attention to her "We definitely are going too! When we get older and better we are going to be with our parents again. One day. But, for now family is with Scarlet Destiny. And, we can not wish for anything more."
Lily smiled softly at that part. He knew very well, had hand-close experience on how close Scarlet Destiny members were. They were just like one gigantic family. He actually felt really proud of them.
"Yeah I get that." Gajeel said simply. He wasn't into expressing all the gushy, cute feelings stuff so that was all he was going to say.
"But, you really shouldn't say stuff like that," Mia started criticizingly "We may still have our parents but loads of other Scarlet Destiny members don't."
Again, Gajeel interest was piqued.
"Really? Like who?"
"Well," Miya started seeing no harm in really telling him "From the group of Scarlet Destiny members that came with us... Sarah doesn't ever mention her parents and our master Jared always tells us that he had no life before meeting Sarah so he probably doesn't have parents either. Zolo's parent's don't matter to him, Kuro doesn't ever speak about his parents, Veruna's are long gone, Kouta does have parents but he can never see them again, and Nyx's are lost forever." Miya explained simply.
Interesting, Lily couldn't help but think abstractly. This was the most he had learnt about members of Scarlet Destiny and he was definitely keeping it all in mind.
"Huh? It looks like none of them have any parents expect for you guys. I feel for them. I lost my dragon long ago." Gajeel revealed.
"Dragon?" Mia asked.
"Oh, yes. Remember what I told you? Gajeel is a dragon slayer." Lily interrupted as he jogged the young girl memory.
"Oh right," Mia started "... I understand that. A dragon slayer's dragon is basically a parent to a dragon slayer."
"Your not the only one who lost their dragon. Ren lost his too seven years ago."
"Ren?" Gajeel said confused "Wait, you have a dragon slayer? Which one is that one? "
"Yes we do. He is the guy with the blue hair. And, I guess you can say he is a dragon slayer in some ways. But, he's much more. And I am not saying anything more about that. My lips are locked shut and the key is thrown far, far away." Miya said then shut up completely. She wouldn't reveal anything big about Ren's power. It wasn't her place to say anything.
"I know how that guy feels then." Gajeel said slowly also taking into account that another dragon had yet disappeared seven years ago.
"I don't think you do." Mia replied simply.
"What do you mean?" Lily butted in to the conversation "Gajeel probably feels the same as Ren would when he lost his dragon."
"Uh, not exactly. I can't say anything about it and neither can Miya. Just that with Ren, don't believe everything you see with him. Lily you know exactly how Ren acts right? Well, not every smile, grin and laugh of his are all true." Mia announced.
While Gajeel was confused by this statement, Lily was not. He understood it somewhat. And, it surprised him since his eyes widened and he took a step back. What did Mia really mean by that?
"Uh, I don't like where this conversation is going any more. Can we please just leave it here? It's not right to talk about our guild mates more than we already have." Mia said shyly as she took a step more closer to Miya.
"Yes of course," Lily said quickly before Gajeel could refuse to that "We took a much longer break then we were meant too. Let's just carry on with our search."
A few minutes
A silence befell upon the group of four due to the depressing conversation that was held moments before. Even bubbly Miya had nothing really big to say. Each of them mulled in their own thoughts, Lily mostly focused on what Mia had said about Ren. Neither four of them realize that they abandoned their job of searching for the dark guild and were walking around aimlessly.
Suddenly, Gajeel stopped in his tracks which caused Mia, Miya and Lily to turned back curiously at him. They watched as Gajeel head was slightly towards the sky as he seemed to be sniffing the air.
"What's wrong Gajeel?" Lily asked.
"I smell Erza. She's really close by. And, another scent that smells strongly of alcohol." Gajeel announced.
"That's probably Zolo. He only ever drinks alcohol." Miya said with a role of the eye.
"Something wrong though," Gajeel mumbled "Both of the scents seemed to be standing still and not moving. Its been happening for some time now."
"What do you mean, Gajeel?" Lily asked.
"Uh, I think I know. You don't think Zolo would-" Mia started to ask only to be cut off by her sister Miya,
"Of course he would. It's Zolo we're talking about. He would want to spar with Erza. Maybe that's why they are standing still. Their probably preparing to fight!" Miya replied back in a panic.
"Wait, are you saying that Zolo is willingly want to fight Erza! Does he have a death wish or something?!" Gajeel asked in shock.
"This is Zolo. Of course he does!" Miya shouted out looking at Mia for some help,
"We have to go to them straight away. So much trouble will happen if those two spar. Especially for our Master. Scary man, please lead us to them." Mia continued on.
"Fine, follow me."
Gajeel would have grumbled something about the name but he actually desperately wanted to go to where Zolo and Erza were fighting. He did not want to miss this spar for anything in the world. Zolo was going to get ripped, or more accurately, sliced apart by Erza.
Gajeel followed by his temporary team mates took some twist and turns before they finally reached the area where Zolo and Erza were about to spar with heaving breaths. Gajeel took a sharp turn and arrived in the area.
It was all full green, with a big hill on his left hand side full on grass and a long narrow river on his left. Everything was covered in grass. In the area between the hill and river were Zolo and Erza. Unfortunately, for Gajeel, Lily, Mia and Miya they had arrived minutes too late.
They arrived just in time to see Erza drop from the air in quick speed high from high in the sky. She was dressed in her most well-known armour, a beautiful sight as she dropped in her 'Heaven's Wheel Armour' with a large sword in her hands that was heading straight for Zolo that was standing below her.
Their was a loud clang, bouncing through the area and suddenly a forceful breeze sprung from the clang and gigantic dusk cloud blew a and surrounding Gajeel, Lily, Mia and Miya making them all blind.
And done! I bet you guys didn't expect to see part of Erza and Zolo's battle ;) They are going to go all out and you'll see more of it. Way more. So, how did I do with this chapter? Was it okay? Did I do Gajeel and Lily right? And what do you guys think about all the clues I dropped in this chapter. To be honest all my characters have bad past and I feel so bad for it so I decided why not give two characters a somewhat okay past. I mean you guys don't even know half of what I plan for my characters past. I want to ask one more thing? Do I surprise you with what I write? Like put many twist and turns that you have no idea what I am gonna write next?
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING... PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING...PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING!
1) Only a few here don't worry. So, next chapter is all about Kouta and Wendy. Is it weird that I ship them so hard? Because I do and I can't wait to write them. What I was going to ask though was that if I should reveal Kouta's past in the next chapter fully? Is it too early? So this is a vote basically. So review if I should reveal Kouta's past in the next chapter. Yes or no. Which ever gets the most votes is what I will do.
2) The opening for a cover to this story is still open. It will be to the end of Zolo and Erza's fight which will be in three chapters time. I hope I get a cover soon! :)
That's all from me. So, please review, review, review! :)
Till next time see yh!
