Erza's teeth gritted hard together as she looked at the green-haired man before her. He was grating, annoying and just obnoxious. Even after she had transformed into her 'Heaven's wheel armour', the man had yet to blink.

Zolo just stood there, a bit sloppily, with his hands stuffed deep in his pockets. He let out a gigantic yawn as his eyes stayed on her. Was he trying to psyche her out? Trying to hide his fear?

"Well? Are you not going to draw your swords?", Erza asked, eyeing Zolo's swords hanging from his hips.

"I'll draw it when I want too", Zolo replied, yawing loudly again.

"You challenged me to a spar! We are going to battle! You shouldn't underestimate me", Erza snapped angrily.

Zolo laughed,

"You think I'm underestimating you? Oh, no Titania, I am actually overestimating you. I have heard a lot about how strong you are. So, prove it to me. I am here, waiting!"

"Don't act so arrogant! I am going to enjoy pushing you off that imaginary pedestal you think you are on!", Erza exclaimed.

"Likewise, I am going to enjoy slicing you apart. So, please, hurry up and attack me", Zolo replied back followed by another laugh.

Erza's eyes widened and her grip on her sword tightened. She had enough of this man. They were at a riverbank, the river on the right hand side and a large hill blocking them from view on the left. A light breeze was rushing through the air despite the amount of tension that was present.

With a threatening roar, she bolted straight at Zolo, her sword raised high at that moment. When there was a few feet between her and Zolo, she launched into the air, raising her sword high above her head.

Her target had yet to move. In fact, Zolo raised his head, so he could keep track of where Erza was. Gravity took work on Erza's slim body, and she was falling towards Zolo like a rocket out of the sky. The deadly end of her sword aimed straight for his head.

At this moment, a bunch of other things were happening at the same time. Gajeel, Mia, Miyah and Lily had turned around the corner and arrived just in time to see Erza in the sky, falling towards Zolo.

"Shit, were too late-", Gajeel started to say, followed by many other colorful words.

"Children! We're children! Don't swear!", Miyah shouted out to Gajeel, waving a fist at him.

Another group of people toppled to the top of the hill, all breathless and wheezing. Levy, Lisanna, Veruna and Nyx, stood on top of the hill, each in pain.

"Why? Why the hell did we have to claim that hill?", Veruna complained.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to lead us-", Nyx started to say only to be interrupted by Levy,

"No! We're too late", Levy screeched as she pointed at Erza and Zolo.

A large splash was heard as a black dome appeared out of nowhere on top of the river. The dome disappeared quickly, leaving three people lying in the knee-deep river, soaking wet.

"What the hell?", Gray shouted out loud, standing up, water droplets running down his naked body.

"Uh, I may have gotten the landing wrong", Kuro said sheepishly as he ran a hand through his wet hair.

"G-Gray-sama...", Juvia stuttered badly as she lay in the riverbank, cheeks bright red.

She had fainted once she had seen the picture of Gray's naked body dripping with water.

"Eh? Juvia? Are you okay?", Gray asked distressingly.

"No, no. Damn, they already started", Kuro whispered as his eyes trained on Zolo and Erza.

At the other end, of the riverbank, Lucy, Ren, Happy and Natsu bumped into each other once they had spotted Erza in the sky. Like all the other's they were also breathless and couldn't believe that they were too late.

"No, we, we've got to spot him!", Lucy yelled out to no one.

"It's too late, we can't stop that!", Ren spoke hurriedly.

"Not good. Not good. That green haired guys gonna die!", Natsu started to panic.

"Run! Run for your lives!", Happy screamed out loudly.

Neither, Erza or Zolo took any notice to the arrival of the new-comers. It wasn't like Erza could freeze in mid-air anyway. Finally, Erza reached Zolo, her sword swung down on top of his head hard.

A huge clang rang in the area and a minor dust cloud formed, obstructing everyone's view. Everyone shielded their eyes from the dust, yelling out similarly that they could not see a thing. Hearts were vibrating in their chests as the dust started to settle down and they could see the shadows of Zolo and Erza. Fairy Tail members held their breaths as the sight became crystal clear.

Shocked shouts blasted through the clearing at the sight. Fairy Tail and new members of Scarlet Destiny jaws dropped. They really couldn't believe what they saw.

Erza, was still in the air, but her eyes widened in shock as in that second she took in what had happened. Her sword was not deep inside Zolo's head like she thought it was. No, instead something had stopped Erza from doing so. It was black, long, and sunlight beams reflected on it brightly. It was Zolo's sword.

It became clear to everyone that at the last moment Zolo had drawn his sword to block the attack. Although, Erza hadn't even seen that movement. What's even more, Zolo had not drawn his sword properly. Oh no, Zolo had removed his sheath from the hilt by a few inches.

With these few inches of his sword, he had managed to block Erza's attack. Realizing that she was vulnerable at this moment, Erza made a swift landing, and jumped a few feet back away from Zolo.

She breathed heavily as she raised her sword again, ready for the next attack. Although, before she could do so, something impossible happened.

Erza heard a small cracking sound and looked down at her sword. She was just in time to see her sword, shatter and fall apart in front of her. It fell in broken pieces on the ground as if it was fragile glass. Erza stared at her sword, her jaw opened and eyes widened. Impossible. Just impossible. That green-haired man could not break her sword just like that.

Erza wasn't the only one that was shocked. Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Levy and Lisanna stared at the sight in disbelief. No way. Just no way.

"H-He broke Erza's s-sword. H-How can he do that?", Natsu whispered in shock.

"I see that you are shocked. But, you really shouldn't be. What do you expect when you attack 'Akki' directly with a cheap sword like that?", Zolo replied back to all the shocked people.

"Akki?", Erza repeated as she dropped her broken sword on the floor. There was no point of it anymore.

"That is what this swords name is. 'Akki'. You should use it", Zolo said as he looked at his sheathed sword admiringly.

"Shit, he broke Erza's sword easily. He's strong", Gray commented looking at Zolo in a new light.

"What did you expect? Zolo's Scarlet Destiny's S class mage. He wouldn't ever go down that easy", Kuro replied.

"We need to stop him from fighting Erza!", Veruna shouted as she took a step towards the two figures fighting, while the rest of Fairy Tail's and Scarlet Destiny's members followed her lead.

Suddenly, Zolo slid the rest of his sword out of its sheath. He swung 'Akki' around in a sharp swing and the sound of the sword cutting through the air was audible.

"Stay back! If any of you even think about stopping our spar, I will cut you to bits. That's including my guild members", Zolo warned, his sword pointed straight at Veruna.

Silence.

"Please" ,Erza said slowly closing her eyes, "No one stop this spar. This guy is going to lose. Don't look down on me. This battle has just begun."

Erza's eyes snapped open and a new gigantic sword slowly transpired in her hand. This one seemed more dangerous, the edge sharper then the last.

"Good. Give me a worthwhile battle", Zolo laughed as he raised his sword towards Erza.

"No, Erza don't!", Natsu shouted as he was ready to jump into the middle of the battle.

All he was thinking about was that he couldn't let his friend get hurt. Even though, he knew how strong Erza was, he just had a bad feeling about the green-haired man. Their was something really wrong with this man.

"You idiot! Don't you jump their battle!", Ren snarled as he managed to grab the back of Natsu's shirt stopping him from running blindly into the spar.

"Hey, let me go!", Natsu yelled as he tried to shake Ren off his back.

"No way! If you jump into that battle, its...suicidal! Zolo will use his sword against you! All we can do is wait and watch",

"Come on! This Zolo isn't that strong", Natsu rebuffed.

"You really think that?!", Ren shouted spinning Natsu around grabbing Natsu from the front of his shirt now, "Why do you think all our guild members led you here? It wasn't because we thought that Erza was going to hurt Zolo. It was to stop Zolo from going against Jared's order to fight against a member of Fairy Tail. It was to stop Zolo from hurting Erza, but we were too late", Ren said.

"Is Zolo going to hurt Erza badly? Because I wont let that happen!", Natsu replied back determinedly.

Ren let go of Natsu's shirt and took a step back. Then he looked over Natsu's head and towards Zolo.

"No, Zolo will not hurt Erza a lot. He just wants to test her abilities. Despite what you may think of Scarlet Destiny and their members...Zolo isn't as heartless or evil as you think", Ren answered back honestly.

A couple of hours before the fight began.

Zolo leaned against the lamp-post, his swords banged against his leg as he did so. His arms crossed over his chest and his head facing the sky.

He wanted to sleep. He loved to sleep. Apart from Sarah and Jared, no one knew why and he would like to keep it that way. Though, today, was different. He knew he couldn't just fall asleep. He had things he needed to do.

He was waiting for Erza to arrive. Then they could go on to search for this dark guild. He was interested in Erza. In the magic way. He wanted to know more about her powers. More about what she could do.

But, he couldn't just ask her. Zolo knew Erza would refuse to tell him. He needed to know though. It was important. He wanted to test something out. Something important. And, who better else to test then the S class mage of Fairy Tail. The only way he could get to know of her powers was to challenge her to a spar.

Zolo sighed as his eyes trained on a puffy cloud in the sky. He had been in Scarlet Destiny for a long time. A year after Jared had created it, he had joined the guild. It was difficult at first. He wasn't use to people caring about him. If believable, back then he was more anti-social then he was now.

Zolo knew most people feared him in Scarlet Destiny. He liked that. The more they feared him, the less likely they would approach him. Most of it was a persona. It was best if people stayed away from him. Of course Jared and Sarah would disagree with him, but he didn't really give a shit. He knew that he would corrupt people who go too close to him.

Although, this time was different. He knew something that he should not know. A small smirk comes across Zolo's face. There was a big secret behind Fairy Tail and them kicking Lucy out of the guild. And, he knew exactly what it was. It was easy to tell the moment he entered the Fairy Tail guild. There was something off about them.

Then, in an instant, Zolo's smirk transformed into an annoyed scowl. Here was the hard part. He couldn't tell anyone. Zolo could not tell his Master or even someone else what he had figured out. If he did, it could put his guild mates in danger. He did not want to go there. He would not put anyone in danger. Not anymore. Luckily, Zolo was good at lying, playing things in the dark.

However, Zolo was not good at waiting. He could only tell when the right time would come. He had no idea what time that could be. He wanted it to be quick. He could not wait. Zolo was okay being put in tough positions. He had been in many before, way before he joined Scarlet Destiny. For now, he had to act like he knew nothing.

Still, Zolo felt he needed to know more. Just to make sure, what he was feeling, what he knew was correct. The only way he could do that was to test Erza's power. He had to make sure of something. Then, came in Jared's order not to fight. Zolo knew that there was only one thing he could do.

'Shit, I know you are going to be really pissed at me for fighting a Fairy Tail member but what needs to be done, has to be done, Jared. Sorry, but I'm going to go against your order, Master. If you were in my position you would prob-Nah scratch that, you would obviously tell Sarah, Jared. Your so into her it's unbelievable you two haven't started dating. What kind of wuss are you? Seriously, you better get with that girl soon or I am going to lose big bucks over you, Jared. Oh, right, as I was thinking it's not that I don't trust you Jared, it's just I really can't tell you what I've discovered. I'm sorry for disobeying you. Damn, I know when you find out you're gonna kill me' , Zolo prayed in his mind as he looked upwards towards the heavens.

When he looked back down around himself, he was just in time to catch a sight of Erza who spotted him and was marching her way over. Thoughts flew through Zolo's head to get Erza to agree to spar with him. He just had to annoy and aggravate her for long enough.

"I'm sorry Jared. I really am", Zolo whispered to himself, as Erza reached him.

Back to the spar between Zolo and Erza

Both stared heatedly at each other. Not one had moved yet. Everyone watched, not daring to blink just in case they missed something. It was so tense that you couldn't cut through it even with a knife.

Finally, Erza made her move. She charged towards Zolo, her sword aimed and ready. She swung in a straight, horizontal line and Zolo easily jumped back to dodge it. Undeterred, Erza swung again at Zolo. This time Zolo brought his sword upwards and blocked Erza's. A loud clang boomed through the atmosphere.

Everyone watched time and time again as Erza was the one to attack only for her attacks to be blocked by Zolo's sword. Sometimes, it looked like she was going to hit Zolo only for him to somehow manage to block it. Clang after clang vibrated through the area.

"This is a tough fight. I've never seen anyone block this many of Erza's attacks before", Gray commented as his eyes ping ponged from Zolo to Erza.

"We should really stop this...", Levy trailed off, knowing no good was going to come from this fight.

"Yeah, it's not like we want this fight to go on either. But, if we go in between that then, we are going to die", Veruna replied back to Levy.

She among all other Scarlet Destiny members were worried. They really didn't want to see Zolo land a damaging hit. While he was only on defense so far, it was bound in time that Zolo would go on the offense. Which meant Jared would be in deep trouble.

Zolo knew that he wasn't going to get anything out of Erza like this. He needed to push this girl to the limit if he was to see what she could really do. Finally, he started to attack.

Zolo took a couple of steps, before charging forward like a bull swinging his sword in a long arc. Erza was surprised by this sudden attack but nonetheless she was prepared. She quickly swung 'Akki' away from her with her own sword hearing the way the swords scraped together. She may have been a few seconds short since she felt the coldness of Zolo's sword against the skin of her collarbone.

Erza's eyes widened when she looked at Zolo's face. There was a big grin on his face as he jumped backwards, the smile still ever-present. Erza had no idea what that was about, when she suddenly felt a sharp pain shoot from her collarbone. She looked down and just gaped. A big, deep oozing wound went right down her collarbone to the base of where her shoulder (armour) started.

The pain stung like crazy. She had no idea why the hell she didn't feel it before. Something else didn't make sense either. She was sure she had blocked that attacked.

"What the hell? The sword barely even touched her!", shouted out Gajeel who had the best view of Erza.

"Of Course. Zolo's sword doesn't need to land a direct hit. Even, a scrape can turn into a gaping wound", Mia replied back shyly.

"What? What does she mean? I blocked your sword! You barely touched me with it", Erza demanded an answer.

Zolo laughed out, almost hysterically.

"She means exactly what she said. Akki is not a normal sword. You could say it has a mind of its own. You see, Akki is very blood-thirsty. It loves fresh blood and loves to cause pain. Even if Akki touches you the slightest, scrapes you even a little, it will draw more, cause you more pain, then you would think it would do." Zolo said.

"That doesn't make any sense! A sword doesn't have a mind. It's a sword", Natsu shouted out flabbergasted.

"Oi! Nothing has to make sense when it comes to Scarlet Destiny. Why do you think we are the guild known for its uniqueness? A sword that has a mind of its own is the least weirdest thing around", Ren commented back.

Natsu just scowled at Ren's reply. Lucy looked worriedly at the scene. Things were becoming too much. She didn't want to see Erza get hurt. She wouldn't wish that upon her greatest enemy. Even if Erza kicked her out as well, Lucy didn't want anything bad to befall her. She just wanted to stop this fight.

Erza, however, just gritted her teeth together. If what Zolo was saying was the truth, and he was not going insane, then she may be in trouble. Zolo was obviously a very good swordsman, if he was to get too close to her with Akki and managed to scrape her again or even worse hit her directly, then that would not be any good at all. She decided that for now, she must attack from a far. It was her best option to go on.

"Multiple Sword Requipping!"

Suddenly, a massive amount of swords appeared in the air around Erza, each deadly and gleaming. They were all pointing at Zolo, who looked at all the swords, one eyebrow drawn up. Scarlet Destiny members looked on in interest. They all had to admit that it was impressive for a person to summon that many swords. Their was at least 200 facing towards Zolo.

"That's good!", Zolo laughed, "Now we are really getting started!"

Erza just shook her head and raised the sword in her hands towards Zolo as a signal. At once, all the swords in the air dashed towards him.

Unlike others who would freeze like a statue at the sight of all those swords coming straight for them, Zolo was ready. He easily dodged some of the swords with a couple of flips and ducking. Most of the time, he used Akki, crashing his sword into all of Erza's and all the ones he managed to hit, shattered into tiny pieces.

Now, Erza thought, as she got ready to attack. Zolo was busy with taking on ten of her swords and this would be the best time to attack. He may not see her coming. She zoomed towards Zolo, her sword raised high in the air.

Zolo, had in fact, not seen Erza. Not as she started to come towards him. But the moment she came into view, he knew he had to act fast. Quickly, he slashed through four of Erza's swords, and ducked down low. Erza zoomed over him and Zolo raised his sword in the air blocking Erza's attack from above him. He knew it was best to stop Erza's direct attack and leave the other swords alone.

The other six swords of Erza's had their opportunity. They all slashed Zolo, cutting various parts of his legs and arms. Zolo did not wince once and as soon as Erza had gone over him, he twisted around and with a smooth swing, he cut the rest of the swords down.

Zolo took in a large breath. He had various wounds over his legs and arms but lucky for him they were not so deep, but he was surprised that Erza had wounded him somewhat. Not many people could do so. Right now, Zolo and Erza had switched positions.

"That was fun. You went a bit serious for a second", Zolo started to say, "but it still seems like your playing. I don't want to play. So, get ready for this to really begin".

Zolo reached a hand down to the hilt of his other sheathed sword. Everyone took notice of this. Alarm bells rang through Scarlet Destiny members minds.

"Zolo! You can't draw that sword. Your not going to draw it?! Are you!?", Kuro shouted out in distress.

"He's right Zolo! You can't just take out your second sword here! You have to be insane to do so!", Nyx cried out.

"P-Please don't. Please don't withdraw your second sword", Mia mumbled clinging onto her sisters back even more.

"What's this all about? Why is everyone so scared of Zolo drawing his second sword?", Lucy asked, not knowing what the outrage was all about.

"Lucy, Zolo rarely uses both his swords at the same time. He only does so when he is facing a person he considers a true enemy. Everyone in Scarlet Destiny knows that if Zolo uses both his swords, the person he is facing is going to be in hell very soon", Ren replied back just staring at Zolo.

Everyone watched as Zolo started to slide his sword out of its sheathed.

"Why? Why would Zolo draw both his swords out if that is what it means? I thought this was just a spar?", Natsu asked outraged.

"It's not just a spar anymore. Zolo drew out his second sword. This means war", Ren replied back just as Zolo finished taking out his second sword.

Zolo pointed the lethal, silver bladed sword towards Erza.

"Titania, let me introduce you to 'Kazuki'".

Fairy Tail Guild- Makarov office.

"Okay, I know you might find this entirely offensive, but you are nuts, old man!", Jared said angrily to the Master of Fairy Tail.

Sarah watched the way Makarov's draw dropped open by Jared's comment. She knew it was a rude thing to say but the master of Fairy Tail had been winding Jared up like he was a jack in a box. She really disliked him doing it. The private meeting that Makarov wanted was about Lucy of course. How could Scarlet Destiny take her in? How could they believe her? Why would they inhabit a criminal? She really couldn't take much more of it.

"Why you snobbish little boy?! Who taught you to speak like that? Respect your elders."

"I would if you respect Lucy."

"Why would I respect a traitor and a killer?"

"She's not a kill-" the rest of Jared's sentence was cut off by Sarah who for the life of her could not stand the arguing any longer.

"Jared, can we please leave this? It's really hurting my head", Sarah whispered softly.

Instantly, Jared's attention was focused on his partner. She looked quite pale, her lips thin, and a hand that was pressing against her forehead in a messaging movement. Jared cursed his mind for not noticing how Sarah was. He usually was keen to this sort of thing.

"Sarah, are you okay? Is everything fine?", Jared asked turning to Sarah, a hand reaching out to her shoulder.

Makarov stared at the two in a bit of surprise. The way Jared had let the subject drop was interesting. It seemed Sarah meant very dearly to him.

"It's just...my head...it aches. I think I just need some fresh air."

"Are you sure? Do you need help with it?"

"No, Jared, I think I'll be fine as long as I have some fresh air."

"Come on. We'll go get some now then. Oh, god, you really should have told me sooner, Sarah. I'll make sure you get better very soon...I'm sorry Makarov but I must take our leave", Jared replied making it clear he didn't want to discuss anything further.

He turned to Sarah and quickly stood up. He reached down to her and helped her do the same. She wobbled at first, unstable but managed to regain her balance. Jared's arm was firmly around Sarah's shoulder, supporting her.

He knew this was very bad. Something might be happening inside of Sarah, now. Something he needed to talk to her about but could not under watchful eyes. He needed to find a private place to deal with this.

However, the couple only managed a few steps before the doors swung open revealing a breathless, panicking Wendy and Kouta.

"Jared-Sama!", Kouta yelled out load.

"Kouta, what's wrong?", Jared asked.

Kouta opened his mouth to say something, only that he spotted Makarov staring at him. Suddenly becoming shy and ducking behind Wendy's body, shaking. Wendy didn't mind. With the progress they made, it didn't matter. This just made her more determined to help him.

"Jared this is really important. We just bumped into a man running and he said that five minutes from here Zolo and Erza are fighting!", Wendy explained.

"...What?", Jared started to say slowly, his eyes darkening with anger.

"I-I-It's true. I don't k-know how but it seems a s-sparing has happened between Z-Zolo and E-Erza", Kouta stuttered.

"You have to be kidding me!"

"I'm sorry Jared. But, we should leave now. Zolo may hurt Erza a lot if the battle gets too serious."

Silence.

"Damn, that-", Jared started, "Why Zolo?! I specifically told him not to start a fight."

"Jared...", Wendy said but her sentence trailed off.

Jared was furious. Sarah knew that. She knew why as well. This was much more than Zolo just disobeying an order. This could happen regularly, at any time, and it wouldn't make Jared this angry. No by this order being betrayed, that meant that not only Jared's, but Sarah and the rest of Scarlet Destiny's necks were on the line if Erza got hurt really badly. He could not let that happen.

"Jared...it's fine. We might be able to stop it before anything happens...we should leave", Sarah spoke softly.

"Sarah, no, you can't come. Not like this. Stay here at the guild. Your obviously not yourself now."

"I'm fine, Jared. You won't go alone. I won't let you. You need me", Sarah replied as she slowly slipped away from Jared standing alone.

Jared wanted to stay firm on his ground(, but) they were running out of time. If the fight has already started, how long would it be before Zolo drew both his swords. Jared knew Erza was strong, but there was no way she could even start to fight Zolo if he was using both his swords.

"What is this? A fight between our guilds? Between our S class mages? How has this happened?", Makarov demanded the answer as he stood up from his chair.

"I don't know, but I know it has something to do with my S class mage Zolo. I told him not to fight and he still went ahead and did it anyway."

"Look, young boy, you cannot even control members of your guild", Makarov criticized.

Jared snapped his head towards, Makarov, his eyes ablaze,

"I can control my members just fine. I don't know why Zolo was so determined to betray my order but I will deal with him now."

"I will come with you-", Makarov started only to be abruptly cut off by Jared,

"No. You stay behind here. I've got this. He is my guild member not yours. I have to handle Zolo. You won't be able to...Oh, I am so going to kill Zolo for doing this! If I don't kill him, I am going to have a serious talk with Zolo and he is going to have to be punished", Jared promised with anger.
