Disclaimer: I own nothing of Fairy Tail but Scarlet Destiny is all mine :D
The feelings going through Wendy's body was indescribable. She couldn't express how she felt. She didn't know how. She felt frozen, dropped into ice cold water, yet there was a heated anger running through the pit of her stomach. An anger she only felt back when Kouta was telling her his past.
The young girl stumbled forwards, almost like she forgot how to walk but still needed to move forwards. Her eyes trained on the item before her. Wendy couldn't imagine this was behind the door. This item was the last thing she expected.
Carla marched forwards into the room, her movements very static. Like Wendy, she could not drag her gaze from the item. It just wasn't possible. Why? Why did they have to stumble upon this?
Zolo and Kouta were different to the two girls. They walked normally, curiosity, was more prominent on the latter boy then the former man. They didn't really know what this item was. Or, why Wendy and Carla were acting this ways.
Finally, Kouta spoke up in a stutter, his gaze on the object,
"K-Keys?"
They were the only thing into the room. Right in the centre. On top of a really, skinny alter that resembled a pillar. Yet, that wasn't really the shocking thing. What made this situation shocking, was the keys were floating.
They were bobbing up in the air, up and down continually. The keys were in some sort of strange purple light that shone around them, engulfing the keys. The mysterious light originated from a purple crystal that was just above the floating keys.
Wendy gulped hard the image. With her movements, she was really close to the hovering keys. So close. Her hand reached out towards the keys in the light purple light. She was almost there. Her fingertips inches away from the freaky light.
Suddenly, there was a sharp whooshing sound and Wendy stumbled back a few steps back. Her hand dropped back to her side limply. In front of her, was a black case, that was covering one of Zolo's sword.
The S-Class mage had manged to reach Wendy before she could touch the purple light. He had swished his sheathed sword in front of her to stop her from touching the light.
"I wouldn't touch that if I were you, kiddo." Zolo warned, his voice low.
He had no idea what the hell those keys were or that illuminated purple light, but he did have a strange feeling something bad would happen if Wendy would have touched it.
"It's Lucy's keys. Her keys." Wendy whispered, her voice felt sore.
Kouta eyes widened as he remembered that Lucy was a Celestial Wizard. But, hadn't her keys been taken away by Fairy Tail? Is this where they had hidden them? But, what was with the strange purple light? Was it the cause of the keys floating in mid-air?
He wasn't the only one with these thoughts buzzing through his head. Everyone in the room, was thinking similar as they eyed the purple light.
"What the heck is going on here?!"
The new voice caused Kouta and Wendy to jump slightly at the sound. They spun around to the door, Zolo sighing slightly before he did, and saw the doorway filled with Scarlet Destiny's members as well as a few Fairy Tail members.
Jared, Sarah and Makarov were at the front, the two shocked as they brought there gaze to the keys in the room. Makarov had a look of slight annoyance on his face but other than that, his other emotions were unreadable on his face.
Crowded behind the masters, were a variety of people. Nyx, Veruna, Kuro were present each looked confused and slightly out of place. Mixed in with them, were Mirajane, Lisanna, Levy, Grey and Erza, who also had a look of annoyance and slight anger in their eyes.
"How did you know we were here?" Carla spoke up, trying to cut through the think tension that setting in.
"We heard a large crash coming from upstairs and we thought it might be the Slave. But, when we got here, it was just you guys and that..." Nyx trailed off in her sentence, her eyes on the keys much like everyone else.
"Seeing that the door is broken, you all might as well come in." Erza said as she glanced at the remaining parts of the slash door then brining her gaze to Zolo, unappeased.
Zolo just grinned sheepishly back.
Everyone obeyed Erza's command. Fairy Tail members knew there was no way that Scarlet Destiny was going to leave, unless they had some answers. And, they didn't mind giving it to them at this point. Scarlet Destiny deserved to know how evil Lucy really was.
It didn't take long for the room to be occupied. Most people were spread out, surrounding Lucy's keys. People eyed carefully, the room was silent apart from the breathing people made.
"The crystal above Lucy's keys," Jared started to speak only to be interrupted by Makarov,
"A very special type of crystal. It traps the keys. If you were to touch the purple light, it would most likely burn through your skin. That's not the main thing the crystal does. It also traps the Celestial Spirits, in a way. The light of the crystal temporarily cuts off the bond between the Celestial Spirit and their owner."
Almost all Scarlet Destiny members eyes widened as realisation dawned on them.
"That's horrible..." Veruna started "The Celestial Spirits, its like they are imprisoned."
"That's why they never popped up to Lucy." Wendy said with wide eyes "Usually, they could always appear into out world with their powers. But, if the bond is broken then they can't. It's almost like to them, Lucy is dead and they can't leave the spirit world since they have no way to reach to her."
Kuro was grimacing at the new information, his hands into tight fist. Veruna looked like she wanted to puke her guts out. Nyx, eyes were dark as she could barely comprehend how that must feel. Wendy could only shake. Carla could only stare blankly. Zolo had a scowl on his face, clearly pissed. Kouta looked like someone had just killed his puppy or something like that. Sarah was on the verge of crying.
As for the master of Scarlet Destiny, well on the inside he was raging, but on the outside he has a cool look on his face. Finding this out, it made his sick, knowing he was working with these type of people.
"It had to be done," Erza spoke up "Lucy is a killer. If we let her still have her keys she would only hurt more people. We could not allow that to happen."
"Please," Wendy suddenly whimpered, voice broken, eyes filled with tears filled her eyes "Stop it. Stop calling her a killer."
Fairy Tail stared at her. No emotion displayed on any of their faces. Mirajane looked at the little girl, and her eyes softened in sadness. She felt sorry for Wendy. She hated that Wendy still stuck up for Lucy. She hated that Lucy was causing all this pain.
Sarah moved suddenly, heading towards Wendy. It didn't take her long. Once she reach the little girl, she wrapped her up in her arms. Wendy lay her head onto Sarah's chest, her body shaking like a leaf. Small whimpers escaped her mouth, and tears flooded down her face.
Jared stared at his partner holding Wendy. It made him even more angry seeing Wendy cry like that. He quickly brought his sharp gaze to Makarov, trying to reign in his anger,
"I don't care how many times you say it. How many times you say Lucy is a killer, even if you scream it out as loud as you can. I wouldn't care. Neither would any of guild members. We will never believe that Lucy is a killer."
Makarov stared at the young boy blankly. This was what was wrong with being so young. The young were naïve, they knew nothing about how to handle situations. They refused to believe the truth. They were too young to understand how corrupt the world could be.
Makarov actually have had enough. He had enough of the stupid master of Scarlet Destiny. It was time for him to reveal exactly why Lucy was the killer. It was time for him to reveal the secret Fairy Tail had kept from Lucy.
"Mirajane," Makarov spoke rather calmly, "Bring me the box."
Jared eyes narrowed in confusion yet he made no move to speak. What box? What was he talking about? What the hell was Fairy Tai master up too?
Mirajane nodded he head in obedience, as she moved towards the pillar. Once she reach it she quickly, laid her hands on the middle of the bottom part of the pillar. Instantly, there was a light swashing sound as suddenly a part of the pillar started to move forward revealing a hiding place. It was almost like someone opening a closet draw.
The newly revealed draw opened slowly. Once done, Mirajane brought her hands into the little draw and quickly removed the item that the draw held. A small black box.
Holding it delicately, she moved back towards Makarov. When she reached him, she held the box out towards Fairy Tail's master. Makarov reach towards the box and quickly opened. Gripping the item, in the box he brought it out revealing it to Scarlet Destiny members.
In Makarov hand was a small, bright green crystal. It shone lightly, the colour of grass and it seemed to be beating lightly.
"What the hell is that?" Kuro asked, his hands tightening in fist as anticipation ran though his body.
Jared eyes widened slightly as he recognised it.
"This is-"
His sentence was once again interrupted by Makarov,
"Yes, this is a memory crystal."
A hallow silence followed.
"What's a memory crystal?" Veruna asked slowly in confusion, voicing out the opinion of many Scarlet Destiny members in the room.
"A memory crystal is a very rare type of crystal. It allows the user to project a memory inside of their mind out into the open so other people can view it. One of the best things in this crystal that it does not allow you to lie. You can't think of a fake memory. The crystal only shows the true memories of its users." Sarah explained simply, as her hands rested gently on top of Wendy's head.
"That's correct." Makarov spoke back briskly.
"I'm surprised you have one. Like, Sarah said they are extremely rare. I heard only magic councils have those type of crystals." Jared spoke, slight awe in his voice.
Makarov only shrugged in return not bothering to answer Jared's silent question on how they had manage to get their hands on one. Instead, he just cleared his throat and spoke up,
"You refuse to believe us that Lucy is the killer. You accuse of kicking her out without any proof. Well, now I will show you our proof. I will show you the secret that we kept from Lucy. The secret on why we know she is a killer. You will see yourself how you have defended a killer."
Before, any Scarlet Destiny member could even say a word, Makarov shouted out briskly,
"Lisanna! Take the crystal."
Lisanna jumped slightly, before nodding her head. She walked towards Makarov and took the crystal and held it lightly between her hands. The glow in the crystal started to grow and Lisanna eyes drifted closed. She hated to think back to the memory but it had to it to be done. She needed to prove her case.
Jared's eyes widened when he realised what was about to happen. Lisanna was going to project her memory about Lucy's supposed killing of Elfman. This was their proof?
What happened next shocked Scarlet Destiny members. The room seemed to melt. Like, melt away. The walls seemed to droop down into nothingness only to reveal a bunch of bare, naked, black trees. The room was transforming into a forest. The forest in Lisanna's memory's. The forest where the sin had happened.
Their minds were feeling a bit dizzy as Lisanna's memory seemed to take over. Not one of them could move. They couldn't do anything. All they were allowed to do was dwell deeper and deeper into Lisanna's memories.
"Lucy, behind you!"
The blonde hair girl twirled around at the warning just in time to see a rough man launch towards her back, a sharp sword held in between his hands. However, before the man could even reach her, Lisanna came in between Lucy and the man.
She was in her cat animal soul form. Her hands were more like paws, her ears like a felines, and small whiskers over her cheeks. With very sharp claws, Lisanna quickly slashed them through the man chest, shredding his shirt as well as causing the said man to cry out in pain. The main dropped to the floor in a large thud.
"Thanks, Lisanna!" Lucy said with a smile, glad to be saved.
Lisanna turned back to Lucy, smiling brightly,
"No problem Lucy! I'll always have your back."
Before Lucy, could even reply to that, a new voice spoke between them,
"Talking while in battle is not man!"
The girls turned towards the rather, large muscled man, with spiky white hair. One of his arms was transformed into that of a reptile beast arm, and with this single arm he managed to hold back at least five men who each held swords trying to end his life.
"Sorry, Elf-Nii." Lisanna apologized while Lucy just sweat dropped thinking that they were women.
With a roar, Elfman flung his beast arm forwards causing all five men to launch backwards smacking their back on different trees with a sharp yell of pain.
The reason for this battle had started when the dark guild they were meant to capture had planned an ambush while already expected the mages of Fairy Tail to come for them. The battle had been really quick to start, thanks to Elfman who did not hesitate to attack the enemy.
Lucy had one of her spirits out, Taurus, who wasted no time swinging his axe around, slashing his enemies back. His eyes still seemed concentrated on Lucy and her spectacular body.
The battle really didn't last that long. With Lucy's whip flying around knocking men out, Elfman easily using his beast arm to fling men into trees, Taurus with his axe and Lisanna slashing men apart, the dark guild was easily inactivated.
"Wow Lucy! Your body is just spectacular!" Taurus yelled, love hearts in his eyes.
"Yes, yes," Lucy said with a sigh bringing the said spirits key up "Close!"
The cow spirit shined for a second before he disappeared.
"Well done team!" Lisanna laughed joyfully, unconscious dark guild members around her.
Lucy laughed at the girls high spirits and grinned. She actually missed going on missions with other people. Who knows, when she got back to Fairy Tail she could talk to Natsu and the rest of them on how lonely she felt. She knew in no time that she would be Team Natsu again and going on mission. She hoped, at least.
"Come on, Elf-Nii, cheer with me!" Lisanna said as she walked up to her brother, standing in front of him.
"Men do not cheer." Elfman replied with a frown.
Lisanna rolled her eyes at that, but she really couldn't keep the grin off her face. She really was happy. She was happy to be back. She really did miss her real brother and sister. She missed going on mission like this with them. Knowing Lucy always had problems with her rent, she invited the girl along.
She liked Lucy a lot. She was happy that Natsu had got a friend like her. She also wanted to know Lucy a lot more hence another reason she invited the girl on the mission.
Without even realizing, Lisanna felt something wet on her cheeks. She knew what those were. Tears.
"A-Ah, Lisanna," Elfman stuttered in panic as he saw the tears on his sisters face "S-Stop crying. It's not a man to cry! I'll cheer with you!"
Lisanna could only laugh like that, tears blinding her vision.
"It's okay, Elf-Nii. These are just happy tears...I'm glad I am here with you again!"
Elfman grinned at his sister in return. He was also happy to be reunited with her.
"I'm glad your happy Lisanna. I'm also glad you ba-"
The rest of Elman's sentence was horrifically cut off. Some sort of choking sound escaped from his lips, as he seemed to gasp for lost air. Then, his eyes dropped downwards to the cause.
Lisanna could only stare in complete and utter horror. Her eyes were wide into unnatural proportion as she too look down. She couldn't believe her eyes. She wouldn't believe her eyes.
There, right through her brothers chest, was the sharp end of a sword, dark red blood staining the silver metal of the sword.
Elfman's eyes seemed to bulge out of their sockets. His mouth opened,
"L-Li...sa...nna..." Elfman croaked.
Lisanna could only stand there, frozen in disbelief and fear.
Suddenly, the sword started to move, sliding out of Elfman's chest with a sickling squelching sound. Elfman's mouth opened in a silent scream.
Then, once the sword was fully removed, Elfman dropped to the ground. A large thud echoed out loud into the silent night.
Lisanna's body was shaking like a leaf. Her hands trembled, uncontrolled. This had to be some sort of nightmare. There, was no way, this could happen. Then, with a small blink of an eye, Lisanna couldn't take it any more.
"ELF-NIIIIIIIII!"
Her voice was a loud shriek, one that was full of sadness, confusion, and anger. The emotions filled into this one scream was unheard off. It could have made the dead rolled around their graves in pain.
Lisanna dropped to the ground, on her knees, still frozen in shock. Her eyes trained, on Elfman's limp unmoving body.
"Elf-Nii..." Lisanna whimpered.
No answer.
Slowly, she reached forwards, her hands still shaking. It touched, against Elfman's cheek to find it unnaturally warm. From what she could see from the side of his face, his eyes were closed. Her hands slowly, moved down towards his neck.
Lisanna prayed. She prayed desperately. She was so scared to check. She had never been this terrified before. Her hand reached her brothers, neck and with small gasps escaping her lips she checked for a pulse.
She waited.
Nothing.
There was no pulse. No life. Her brother, her dear brother that she had just reunited with was...dead.
Tears ran down her face like unwavering waterfalls. Unlike before, these tears were filled with anguish, pain and disbelief.
Still, she prayed.
"Elf-Nii...Please wake up. Please wake up! We need to go home! To Mira-nee and...and...Fairy Tail. Please don't leave me! Please!" her voice begged and edged.
She was rewarded with nothing.
Her thoughts were in a whirlwind of confusion. She couldn't understand. She couldn't comprehend the fact that her love one was dead. She didn't want to comprehend it.
"Please...wake up..." her plea was so quite and weak.
There really was no reaction. Her brother was well and truly gone.
Suddenly, there was a small sound coming from above Lisanna. Her eyes snapped up to the sound and all she could do was stare.
She couldn't believe it. The person loomed over her, their melted brown eyes were just gazing at her with no emotion. Gripping tightly, her knuckles white, was the sword of the guy who Lisanna had saved this girl from.
Lucy.
The blonde hair girl stared at her with the red-blood stained swords in her hand. Lisanna understood at once. She remembered earlier of the blonde haired women coming to Elfman from behind but she had thought nothing of it.
Lucy had killed Elfman. Lucy had killed her brother. She killed him! She just took his life away like it meant nothing and now she was staring at her blankly. She watched as Lucy raised the bloody sword seeming to aim for her this time.
Instead of being afraid, Lisanna felt something very different instead.
Lisanna, felt burning, hot rage fill her body. How dare she!? How could she?!
With a hollow battle cry, Lisanna lunged at the blonde haired women. She caught a glimpse of Lucy's brown eyes widen, not expecting it, but Lisanna didn't care. Her body hit roughly on Lucy's and they both toppled to the ground, Lisanna above.
The bloody sword skidded out of Lucy's grip.
Lisanna lost control.
Gripping Lucy's shoulders in her hands, she started to shake her, bringing her up and down causing the back of Lucy's head to hit the solid forest ground multiple times.
Tears blinded Lisanna's eyes.
"How could you?! How could you just kill Elf-Nii like that?! Why did you do it?! What did he do to you?! He's your friend! Your family! Why?! Why?! WHY?!" Lisanna screeched.
There was no answer. Yet, Lisanna didn't stop banging Lucy's head against the ground.
After a few moments, which really felt like hours, Lisanna stopped shaking Lucy. Her breath was coming out in large heaves and her lungs felt like they were on fire.
She glimpse down at Lucy through watery eyes. The girl's eyes were closed tightly and she almost looked peaceful. Lisanna hated it. She slowly realized that since she kept and banging Lucy's head it must have knocked her unconscious.
She closed her eyes as if she could stop the tears from coming out. She failed. Lisanna took a shaky breath as she knew she had to think about what she should do next. She still wanted to mourn over her brother, no she wanted to go back to him and beg him to wake up even if it would be pointless.
But, Lisanna knew what she had to do. She had to take Lucy to Fairy Tail. Back...home. Even, if it meant she had to leave Elfman behind...Lucy deserved punishment. No, in Lisanna's heart she felt Lucy deserved to die. But, she could not take another person's life.
Fairy Tail would pass judgement. Lucy will be punished. Even with this feeling, Lisanna felt like there was a whole in her heart. A whole that Lucy caused. A whole that would be forever there to taunt her for the rest of her life.
Silence.
A deafening silence in Fairy Tail's guild room.
The image of the forest and a broken Lisanna melted away to reveal the once plain white walls.
No one dared to speak.
Then ringing sobs broke through the atmosphere. It was from two sisters, Lisanna and Mirajane. Neither could hold it in. The memory of their brother killed in cold blood was causing them unimaginable pain.
Scarlet Destiny however was different.
For once, each and every member in the room was shocked. Each of them were speechless at what they had witnessed. Of the memory Lisanna had just shown.
Makarov stared at the blank, shocked faces of Scarlet Destiny members satisfied. There was no way they could deny it. They've seen the proof with their very own eyes. They saw Lucy commit the crime.
Makarov eyes landed on the dark black eyes of Scarlet Destiny master and he took a step forwards,
"Now you see the truth in plain sight, boy. Lucy killed my dear child. You cannot deny it any longer. You've just seen the proof. A memory crystal never lies. What you saw is real. Lucy did indeed kill Elfman, her friend and family member. We never showed her this memory since she would deny it. You saw how much she lies. Lisanna proof is real. Lucy is a killer. She killed Elfman." Makarov spoke the harsh words.
He was met with silence. Makarov was beginning to let a smile on his face, believing he had finally got it through the think skulls of Scarlet Destiny when a voice stopped him,
"N-No."
Makarov shocked eyes quickly spun to the person who made the sound, to stare at the boy whose name was Kuro.
"I-I won't believe it!" Kuro suddenly yelled as he took a step forwards with only one leg "That isn't possible. I don't know about what we just saw but I know for a fact Lucy didn't kill Elfman and I still believe her! She didn't kill him!"
Makarov stared at the foolish child. He was still believing Lucy. After seeing that proof?
"Kuro is right," suddenly the master of Scarlet Destiny spoke up, "I still believe Lucy. I know her. We've got to know her. Despite what I saw, I still believe in Lucy."
"I do too! Lucy is a very kind hearted person. She wouldn't do it! Right, Nyx?" Veruna said as she turned to her partner who smiled at her,
"Right Veruna! Lucy would never commit such a vicious act! That isn't her!"
"L-Lucy is really nice. S-She didn't do it." Kouta strutted out his response.
Carla, who was next to Kouta, nodded her head almost viciously. That was right! Lucy wouldn't do it.
Sarah and Wendy looked at each other. Traces of tears were still on Wendy's face yet she couldn't help but smile at the young women holding her. Despite the shocking revelation, she still believed in Lucy. She didn't want to not believe in Lucy.
Makarov couldn't help but stare in shock. What kind of fools were these Scarlet Destiny members?
"How can you not believe us?!" Makarov shouted "You just saw proof! You know very well that the memory crystal doesn't lie. There is no way what Lucy is saying is true. How are you able to still refuse to believe us?"
Jared seemed to shrug,
"I-That memory was really hard to watch. We felt your pain very well Lisanna. And we are with sympathy for you going through that...But, I refuse to believe that Lucy killed Elfman...I really can't explain it and I'm sure neither can my members of my guild. We still believe Lucy. I think we always will. No matter what."
Fairy Tail members stared at Jared. Mirajane and Lisanna felt fury in their bodies at the rejection along with Erza and Gray. They could not believe Scarlet Destiny's stupidity.
They were all on the edge, looking ready to attack Scarlet Destiny members. Jared noticed this, his eyes narrowing. The tension was way too thick. The refusal to believe them was causing them to go into a fit of rage. If one of them was to attack...Jared had no doubt that things would go down hill.
However, before even anyone could react, or more likely attacked, someone else decided to speak, his word shocking everyone to the core,
"The bastards good I'll give him that."
Everyone spun around to the source of the new words. All eyes landed on the green-haired S-Class mage who was leaning casually against the wall, hands stuffed in his pockets. His face was upwards towards the ceiling.
"Zolo..." Jared whispered, confused, by the words he just spoke.
"What? What do you mean by that?" Makarov asked, as he took a step towards Zolo.
Zolo ripped his gaze from the ceiling to Makarov and seemed to stare for a second before a sigh escaped his lips,
"I might as well explain a few things...I'm guessing since you showed us that memory then the bastard decided to stop messing with you guys."
"What are you talking about?" Erza spoke up, clearly confused by Zolo's words like everyone else.
They had no idea what he was talking about or who this 'bastard' Zolo was referring too.
Zolo quickly propelled himself forwards so he wasn't leaning against the wall and swung his gaze to Lisanna. Seeing, the green man stare at her, caused Lisanna to gulp. His solid stare was really unnerving.
"The memory you showed us just now is fake."
Zolo's words caused an uproar. Lisanna mouthed open and closed, like she was blubbering fish. She was so confused, her eyes seemed to bulge out of their sockets. She wasn't the only one. Erza mouth was open slightly in shock, Mirajane had raised a hand to her mouth, Gray mouth was hanging wide open. Makarov took another threatening step towards Zolo, rage evident in his eyes,
"What are you talking about?! That memory was shown by the memory crystal! It won't show a fake memory!" Makarov snorted.
Zolo just sighed, took a breath as if to explain something,
"I agree that the memory crystal shows us the true memories of its users. However, that's the damn problem with that crystal. If the memory the user has believes it's really true, even if it's a fake, the memory crystal will still show it as if it is true since the user believes it is. In other words, what I'm trying to say, is that white haired girl showed that memory since she believes it is true. To her, what we just saw actually happen. She believes it did. However, it's a fake. The memory we just saw of Blondie killing that dude isn't even real. It's just something that someone implanted in her mind."
Silence.
Lisanna eyes widened in disbelief. She couldn't believe it. She wouldn't believe this green haired man. There was no way that memory is fake. She was sure it happened. Positive it happened. Because if it didn't...God, she didn't even want to think about that.
"What makes you so sure that memory is a fake?" Makarov asked cautiously.
"The only reason I know it's a fake is because of my magic...I have mind magic. I have the ability to twist anyone's mind into my own play thing. I can manipulate anyone's mind to do my bidding. An upside to this magic, is that I can also tell if anyone's else's mind has been manipulated too. And, let me tell you now, each and every member of Fairy Tail mind has been well and truly fucked up."
"Zolo!" Sarah said with a loud voice, looking slightly displeased "Watch your language, there are children present."
Zolo again just shrugged at her words but seemed to relent.
"Zolo, what do you mean by that? Are you trying to say that people in Fairy Tail have had their minds...manipulated?" Jared questioned, wondering why Zolo had never brought this up.
This seemed very important after all. What was Zolo playing at, keeping this a secret?
"That's not possible!" Makarov started "We would have noticed if someone was manipulating our minds!"
At this sentence, Zolo snorted loudly.
"You wish old man!" Zolo laughed causing Makarov to scowl and Erza to shouted out,
"Respect our Master!"
Zolo rolled his eyes but decided to leave Erza alone and continue with his previous statement,
"Have you ever dealt with high-class mind magic before? Only very few people have that type of magic and let me tell you, it really isn't pretty. A high-class mind mage will be able to manipulate your mind without you even realising it. You could go on your whole life without noticing your mind getting manipulated. If it wasn't for my magic, even I wouldn't have not noticed your minds being messed up with." Zolo replied back.
Silence followed. Makarov looked at the young man wondering if he was lying about all this. But, why would he lie? What would he gain apart from protecting Lucy?
"There's still other things you're keeping from us, aren't you?" Jared spoke up, his gaze steady on Zolo.
"What? Your still not saying anything? What the hell?" Veruna shouted out, slightly pissed by all this.
Secrets like this shouldn't be kept from one another.
Zolo leaned back against the wall, his eye trained on Jared.
"I am, indeed. There's a lot more I know...But, I really can't say much more than I have. My mind magic protects me from the one who is manipulating all your minds. You guys don't have anything to protect your mind. If I tell you more than I have, then things can turn out for the worse. For now, it's best for all of you to be kept in the dark."
Silence.
Fairy Tail members had no idea what to think. They had no idea if he was lying. They had no idea if he was just saying all this to protect Lucy. Erza, however, wouldn't rule it out. If Fairy Tail, was indeed getting brainwashed...what other things are they being manipulated about?
Suddenly, there was a loud, anguish cry. Everyone turned towards the sound to see Lisanna on the floor on her knees. Her hands were pressed to her head, and tears were running down her face.
"Lisanna! What's happening? Are you okay?" Mirajane asked as she bent down towards her sister, worry edged on her face.
"Mira-Nee," Lisanna whimpered "The memory of Elf-Nii getting killed...It's gone. I can't...I'm realizing it's a fake. It's fake, Mira-Nee...FAKE! What's happening?"
Makarov, Mirajane, Lisanna and Gray eyes widened at her words. They couldn't believe this.
"Sorry, that happened abruptly. It took me some time to wipe the fake memory from your brain. You may feel an empty space inside of your mind where I removed the fake memory." Zolo said with a shrug.
Silence. Things were starting to become clear to Fairy Tail members yet they still couldn't believe it. They wouldn't. The green haired man was definitely lying. If the memory was fake, if they decided to believe the green-haired man...then that meant...that Lucy hadn't...No! They wouldn't believe it. The S-Class Mage had to be lying. He was trying to protect Lucy. This was the conclusion most Fairy Tail members had come too in the room.
"Mira-Nee..." Lisanna whispered, so low so it was to herself "If that memory was fake...If I was being manipulated...If what he is saying is true...Then... Where is Elf-Nii?"
The place where the sun doesn't shine, where night haunts the day, and evil will always reside.
"The Slave has completed the mission."
The voice that spoke, was soft and belonged to a young female. The girl had long spiky, black hair reaching past her back. Her eyes were a fiery amber colour as it concentrated on a single part of the floor, not daring to look up. She was wearing a black dress,, simple yet elegant, along with a black cape. Across her back was a large bow and red, pointy arrows.
"They don't suspect a thing. The Slave tricked them well. Currently, Fairy Tail and Scarlet Destiny members are following his trail as we speak."
"Very good indeed. Tell me, where are the rest?" a voice spoke to her.
The girl dared to not look up. How could she? Especially, since she was in front of her precious Lord.
"Stupid Red is in one of the room planning for his battle. Blue is with the prisoner, and Master is also preparing for his battle. I pity the fools that have to fight against Master." the girl spoke with a small laugh.
"Excellent, Kurai. Things are going to plan. Our target is coming our way as we speak." Lord spoke up.
The girl, called Kurai, spoke up, her voice slightly hesitant,
"Yes, they are...But, I must ask you...Was it really wise to let Fairy Tail know that you are manipulating their minds so early? I know that they still don't believe Scarlet Destiny's S-Class mage but...N-Not that I am questioning your judgement..."
Kurai trailed off. She gulped hard. She couldn't believe she asked that. Was she wishing for death?
"Tell me, Kurai, are you scared?" Lord spoke softly.
To anyone knew, it might have sounded that the Lord seemed to care. Although, Kurai knew the Lord well, and she heard the clear threat of death underneath Lords soft words. She had to tread carefully now.
"Of course not Lord! It's just...The only person who can fight against you is the Master of Scarlet Destiny as he is really strong-"
The rest of Kurai sentence was cut off abruptly by a loud bang. Probably by the Lord smashing his arm on his throne. She gulped hard.
"The master of Scarlet Destiny is of no concern! While he is strong, he has a big weakness. And, we will be playing with that weakness! The master of Scarlet Destiny will not see it coming. He will lose as well."
Kurai let out a shaky laugh, knowing very well the well the weakness of the master of Scarlet Destiny. However, there was more to him then his weakness.
"I can't believe the secret Scarlet Destiny master is keeping from his guild...I am more surprised however that their S-Class mage has not said anything about it since he must have figured it out." Kurai snorted.
"Probably out of pity he did not say a word." Lord drawled, not really caring.
"If worse comes to worse, we can always reveal the secret that Scarlet Destiny master is keeping from his guild and then watch as his guild falls apart." Kurai said with a laugh.
Lord did not reply to that. Instead he commanded,
"Go, Kurai. Double check that all the traps are in check."
Kurai nodded her head but dared not to move. She wouldn't leave until the Lord did.
Unknown to her, Lord was sitting on his throne, looking at something in front of him. His legs were crossed and he was leaning against on of his hands.
His eyes were trained on something on top of the table in front of his throne. The thing was made of clear glass. The item was round and gleaming. A crystal ball.
In this crystal ball, a picture was moving inside it. Lord knew the picture, or rather person, very well. After all, this person was his as well as his whole guilds target.
The person in the picture, was running, a look of determination in her brown eyes. Her blonde hair flying all over the place.
Lord smiled, rather menacingly.
Perfect. Come to us target.
AND DONE! OH SNAP THOUGH! SO, THE DARK GUILD IS ACTUALLY AFTER...LUCY?! I bet you guys are like, what the hell? Well, I would say you would find out soon...But, if you want you could look back at the other chapters that feature the dark guild and the answers are practically there on why the dark guild want her. But, only if you look closely. I would be surprised if anyone actually figures it out though since it's well hidden. So, what did you think of this? To be honest, I was actually goanna cry when I was writing the part where Lisanna sees Elfman die 0.0 Why did it have to so sad?! ;_ ;

1) THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT! I got a few reviews from last time wondering how strong Scarlet Destiny is to Fairy Tail...Well, I don't think I made it clear so let me explain:
*) Jared/Sarah- Since they are leaders of Scarlet Destiny they are as strong as Fairy Tail leaders. So, I guess I would compare Jared's strength to Master Makarov while Sarah is kind of more on Gildarts level. You haven't seen them in true action but that's where they stand.
*) ZOLO - He's called 'The Demon'. I'm not really into big naming my characters with nicknames. I would say that he is Scarlet Destiny's most strongest mage though. So, if I had too, I would compare him to Laxaus level. On a another side though, imagine if Zolo and Laxaus meet. One of two things could happen...1) They would get along due to their sadist personalities and become good mates (Which would cause Freed to cry at being the third wheel) or 2) Well, let's just say, half of Magnolia would be destroyed XD Which do you think would happen?
*) GENTA - I don't think I mentioned this in my story yet, but Genta's is a S-Class mage. He's kind of like Mira in the sense he doesn't go on missions anymore but that doesn't mean he's strong. He's really strong. You don't really want to get on his bad side!
2) This is for YKoshinata! To answer your question, unfortunately I don't plan for Laxaus to come into this since its straight after Lisanna comes back from Edolas so before way before Laxaus...HOWEVER...As for Jellal *Sneaky grin* well, let's just say he IS going t make a appearnece but not in the way you expect. Just wait and see for that moment.
Please review! I need to know what you think for this chapter since it's actually a chapter where I reveal a lot!
Till next time...SEE YH!
