"I would die for my guild."

As quick as lightning, Zolo rushed to Kyron with both swords raised both his swords to deal a deadening slash. Kyron's eyes widened as the S-Class mage was moving even faster than before. He was just a blur.

But, Master Kyron was more than prepared.

Quickly, he jumped backwards when both swords slashed down towards him. He managed to dodge Zolo's devastating blow by mere inches. Maybe he was a bit too slow, as it felt he could feel the cold steel of Zolo's sword against his chest. And a flicker of pain. But, that vanished quickly.

Regaining his thoughts after dodging the attack, Kyron looked at Zolo, who was breathing heavily in front of him. Kyron couldn't help but let a rare form of emotion form on his face in the form of a smile.

"Mind user, you'll never be able to touch me with those swords with your fighting style." Kyron announced, staring at Zolo.

Zolo lifted his head to Kyron and suddenly a humongous grin appeared on his face.

"You sure about that bastard? You should check yourself for wounds before saying something like that." Zolo replied back.

A small crease formed between Kyron's brows and he looked downwards. His eyes widened in surprise. Blood covered his chest. A huge slash was its cause and his shirt was nearly cut in half at the front. He could start to feel the pain vibrate through his body which he knew had been blocked before due to the adrenaline coursing through his body. Luckily, the wound wasn't that deep and he doubt it would affect him too much.

"How?" Kyron demanded "How did you wound me?"

"What's with that look? You scared now bastard? Considering how much your guild has stalked my own I thought you would know everything about me?" Zolo teased lightly before raising his black sword in the air "Akki loves blood. A small touch from it could cause a big wound to you. I suggest you be careful around him."

A dark look clouded Kyron's eyes which deepened with each of Zolo's words. What would he do if the Lord was to see him now? There was no way he would let this filth taunt him like this. It was a disgrace for such a man to have the same power as his precious Lord. He should fix that by eliminating this man from very history.

Kyron moved quickly, charging towards Zolo like a raging bull. Zolo's eyes widened and he brought both his swords in front of him in the shape of a 'X'. It was just in time too as he felt the vibration as Kyron's fisted hand hit right in the middle of both his swords. Zolo feet slid back at the force and he gritted his teeth hard.

Suddenly, Kyron's lashed out a foot and hit Zolo in the middle of his thigh with accurate position. Zolo let out a small yell, losing his previous form as he had to lift his leg in the air to try to decrease the pain flowing through it.

Kyron took this chance rather gleefully.

The palm of Kyron's hand slammed again Zolo's chest, on the right-hand side. Instantly, Zolo let out a roar filled with pain. He could feel, no, hear his bones crack due to Kyron's magic. It was sickening sound and it echoed throughout his ears.

Quickly, Zolo stumbled backwards trying to get away from Kyron, pain hazing his brain. With Zolo being so disoriented, Kyron carried on his assault. He quickly lunged forwards and managed to grip Zolo's left hand in his hand.

Kyron squeezed.

Snap! Snap! Snap!

Zolo's eyes widened in agony. He could clearly feel every bone, big and small, in his left hand being broken and crushed. The effect was instant and consuming. All Zolo could feel, think about, were the bones in his left hand. Kyron grinned rather menacingly at Zolo whose face was consorted in pain.

Kyron's eyes twitched slightly and he suddenly let go of Zolo's crushed hand. He was just in time as he watched the silver sword slashed downwards where his arm previously was. If he had stayed, his arm could have easily been chopped off. Kyron's eyes quickly trailed up the sword, the arm of its owner, to the red-haired women glaring furiously at him.

Erza.

Erza quickly swung her sword around to try to cut Kyron but the man simply dodged the attack. She swung again but he just ducked down avoiding her attack. Kyron then reached a hand forward, aiming towards Erza's arm. However, Erza was quick to react as she spun around, causing Kyron's hand to hit against one of her heavens Wheel Armour wing.

A large crack was heard and Erza could feel her armour get lighter. A small clang was heard as the wing broke off completely and fell to the floor. Erza took this chance to retreat to Zolo who had taken the time during Erza's retaliation to put some distance between him and Kyron.

Erza eyes quickly assessed her current fighting partner. Zolo face gleaned with sweat. He was limping badly, body bent forwards, probably due to the fact a couple of his ribs were broken. Then Erza eyes trailed down Zolo's lifeless left arm that was hanging limply off his side. She was still surprised that Zolo was holding his black sword. It was being held by the very tips of his fingers and it was easy to tell it was causing Zolo a tremendous amount of pain to be holding it still.

Zolo was wounded. Badly. He had rushed into that attack and this was the result. Yet, Erza could feel something for this man, a feeling that surprised her. Admiration. It took a very loyal and brave man to put his life on his line just for his guild. For his friends. For his family.

It was at this moment Erza realized she was in the wrong. Her mind was telling her with all its might that Lucy killed Elfman, even now during this fight, yet her heart was finally starting to speak something different. She remembered that Zolo had told her that everyone in Fairy Tail was getting their minds manipulated. She had a small doubt that the S-class Mage was lying for the sake of Lucy but this doubt had been completely erased.

For whatever reason, she knew she trusted Zolo hole-heartedly. There was no more doubt for her. She knew that whatever had happened when Elfman had died was due to Lacus Animarium. And, Erza wanted to know everything. She wanted to know what happened. She wanted answers.

Her body started to shake slightly with rage and frustration.

Yes, she wanted answers. And, a plan was forming in her mind to get those answers. But, first, she had to take care of Zolo.

"Zolo..." She started only to be interrupted by the green-haired man.

"I'm fine," he spoke through gritted teeth "Come on. We need to kick this bastards ass."

"No." Erza said abruptly "You are in no state to carry on this fight."

"What did you say?!" Zolo yelled out blindly "I can carry on."

"Listen to me." Erza said calmly as she waited for Zolo to calm his anger.

Zolo swallowed hard, through the anger and pain, before nodding his head letting Erza speak.

"You are the only one who can break a mind mages control?" Erza asked.

Zolo eyebrows drew up in confusion at the sudden question. Despite this, he nodded his head briskly.

"Then you must leave this fight. As of now, you are the only one who can fight this 'Lord'. No one else can. If I am correct, then the Lord will be with your second in command. You need to get to her. You are the only one who can save her from the Lord." Erza announced.

Zolo took a moment to think. He knew Titania was right. The Lord had taken Sarah for a reason. And, Zolo had a sneaking suspicion that reason was due to his master. He needed to get to Sarah and beat the crap out of the Lord. He was the only one that could fight against the Lord mind abilities, after all.

"If you stay here, both of us might get wounded more than we are now. If you are taken out here, then no one will be able to take on the Lord... You are needed to face against the Lord much more than in this battle right here." Erza explained briskly.

"I agree, Titania." Zolo spoke calmly knowing there was no way to battle against that logic "Think you can take on this bastard alone?"

He and Erza turned to Kyron who simply stood staring at them. The guy was letting them speak and plan with each other. As if he thought, no matter what they planned, they wouldn't win against him. Zolo gritted his teeth in annoyance at that fact.

"I am certain I can."

Zolo nodded his head.

"Here, that this." Zolo said and he lifted his left arm, wincing at the pain that cause him.

He held the arm there, waiting for Erza to take the black sword, Akki, off him.

"Your giving this to me?"

Zolo grinned, "Don't flatter yourself. The bastard can't break my swords quickly like he can yours. Akki told me that it doesn't matter if you use him as long as he can feast on the bastards blood."

Erza eyes narrowed at Zolo's phrasing in annoyance causing the man to chuckle in return.

"As you can tell, I won't be able to use this sword," As if to prove his point, Zolo head jerked down to his broke hand bringing Erza's attention to it before he started speaking "Akki is better if he's with you. Just don't let the bastard break him. Or, Kazuki will never forgive you."

Erza stared at Zolo's brown eyes for a few seconds. Then, she nodded her head. She didn't know why but she felt as if Zolo was giving her a very high honour almost like when a queen pronounces a person a knight. She knew he would never give his swords to anybody so to have one offered to her was a very big deal.

"I will protect Akki with my life." Erza promised.

Zolo nodded his head in understanding. Erza reached over and easily gripped the handle of the sword. She slipped the handle out of Zolo's hand and onto hers.

She instantly felt it. The power radiation off this sword. Her eyes widened. She had never felt anything like this. This sword was...different. Nothing she could identify. It felt like...it was a real person. The magic radiating off it was like a heartbeat.

Was this what Zolo meant when he said his swords have a mind of its own?

"I'll leave now. I'm going to bring hell onto this Lord guy, trust me on that." Zolo swore as he quickly ran off towards the exit out of this room.

Erza watched him carefully until Zolo was out of her sight. She could tell that he was in serious pain. She didn't know how he was going to face Lord but hopefully he would get some help from his guild mates. It was better than facing off against Kyron.

Speaking of the Master, Erza turned back towards Kyron who was still standing in the same position as he did before. Kyron addressed her immediately,

"Looks like you two have come up with a plan. However, it will only fail. I will break you quickly and then go off after the mind user. He will not reach the Lord, I assure you."

"That's what you think." Erza replied back briskly.

She closed her eyes and breathed calmly as she focused on her magic. Her body glowed and her heavens wheel army faded. Instead, she donned another.

Erza wore nothing from the torso up. Bandages covered her breasts. Her legs were covered by bright red trousers with orange flames coming up from the bottom. Her hair styled in a very simple do.

Kyron raised a simple eyebrow at this appearance. It would do no good. With that much skin being revealed, his magic would work well against Erza.

"Are you sure you should be revealing that much bare skin? Would you not like to try another armour?" Kyron asked.

Erza brought Akki up, levelling it at her eye level. Both of her legs were bent slightly and far apart. Both her hands gripped Akki's handle blade. Her eyes glimpsed at the sword. She felt like she had a part of Zolo with her by holding this sword. A part of Zolo and someone else that wanted the blood of the man who dared hurt his master.

"No...This sword is all I need to defeat the likes of you."

Wendy's hand tightened around Kouta's as they walked down the long hallway in silence.

She wasn't going to lie to herself. She was absolutely terrified. She was scared of what would happen if she was to meet a member of Lacus Animarium. Kouta wasn't much of a fighter and while she had gotten stronger, she didn't know if she could actually fight a Lacus Animarium member on par.

Yet...Her fear made her stronger. It was because she was scared that she was even more determined to protect herself and Kouta from an enemy. She wouldn't let them hurt her or her partner.

"Wendy..." Kouta suddenly spoke causing Wendy to bring her attention to the shy boy,

"Yeah?"

"T-There's a opening at the end of the hallway."

Wendy looked down the hall, easily seeing the archway. She could see from here that it led to some huge room.

"W-What do we think we should do?" Kouta stuttered.

Wendy thought for a second, her eyes dropping to her hand that was holding Kouta's hand.

"We should go check it out. After all, Sarah might be there." Wendy suggested.

Both of them had heard the mind message from the Lord. It had cause a mass panic within both of them. They had quickly decided to look for her. If Sarah was being hurt then she would need medical help. Kouta and Wendy had to be there.

"Your right." Kouta agreed, smiling softly at Wendy "Let's go!"

They quickly ran down the hall, hand-in-hand, until they reached to the end.

They entered.

And, they both gasped.

"Veruna!" Kouta yelled as he ran to the girl who was lying unconscious on the floor.

"Levy." Wendy shouted as she too ran towards the beaten girl.

Kouta bended over Veruna. His eyes rushed over her form. She was covered in scratches and a few major wounds. She was sweating heavily and her breathing was laboured. Her eyes flickered here and there but did not open. She was in pain, Kouta was sure of it. Her leant down and pressed his ear to her chest, hearing out her heart.

"Kouta, their poisoned." Wendy spoke as she identified the symptoms on Levy which were the same with Veruna.

"Judging by their wounds, the poison must be running though their bloodstreams. Focus your healing magic on their veins and arteries. Any poison in the heart will eventually be flushed out through the bloodstreams which we will then heal. Any residential poison in the heart or any other vital organs will have to be dealt with later when I make a cure for it. But it should be fine as long as we heal most of the poison. I don't think they've been poisoned for too long since the heart still seems to working in order from what I can tell. But, we must act fast." Kouta explained.

Wendy nodded her head and closed her eyes. She brought her hands above Levy's body and concentrated. Her hands let out a gentle blue with a hint of green glow. She concentrated on the areas which Kouta had told her there. She glimpse up to Kouta and could see he was in a similar position, hands over her chest, and a green glow coming from his hands.

The two sat in silence, busy in their healing. It lasted for some time as Wendy knew that both had been poisoned rather heavily. After she was done, she let out a breath of relief her hands dimming down. Levy should be okay for now. But, she still had poisoned in her. The antidote would have to be made soon though.

Wendy watched Kouta whose own hands started to dim showing he was also done with healing Veruna. Wendy quickly glanced around the room, having no time to do so when they first entered but stopped in her tracks when her eyes fell on the other body on the floor.

"Kouta!" Wendy said in a loud voice.

"W-What?"

"There's another person on the floor over there."

Wendy stood up from the place next to Levy and looked at the figure. She had black spiky hair and was also unconscious. She seemed to be covered in black as well as the area surrounding her and if Wendy had to guess, she would say it looked like ash.

"T-That must be a Lacus Animairum member. They must have fought her and got poisoned in the process." Kouta announced.

"They won." Wendy whispered a small smile on her face "They must have."

So, members of the mysterious Lacus Animarium guild could be defeated. She was glad of that. She was more glad that Levy and Veruna should be fine now.

"We might as well stay here. Levy and Veruna would wake up soon. But, if that girl wakes up before they do, it might cause trouble. We should stay here and protect them." Kouta suggested.

Wendy nodded her head.

After that, both of them quickly sat themselves in between Veruna and Levy, waiting for either one to wake up. Both were curious to know what happened in the battle. Wendy's eyes glanced at the girl covered in ash. What would she do if that girl woke up and had enough energy to fight? Could she protect herself and her friends?

Levy was the first to wake up. Her body jerked slightly, and her eyes fluttered as she tried to open them. Wendy noticed it and quickly spoke,

"Levy?"

"Huh?" Levy croaked out, her voice sounding very sore.

After she spoke, Levy's body winced at the pain from speaking.

"Be careful. You've been poisoned really badly. Take it easy, okay?" Kouta advise worriedly.

"Poisoned..." Levy trailed off, finally managing to open one eye while the other one was closed shut, refusing to open.

Suddenly, Wendy and Kouta heard a slight gasp and both turned around to see Veruna who seemed to also be waking up. Her limbs seem to twitch as she tried to move them.

"Veruna, don't move. Your going to hurt yourself even more." Kouta spoke softly, walking up the girl and leaning over her.

"Kouta..." Veruna started, her voice barely above a whisper "What...Oh yeah, we were fighting that girl..."

"We beat her." Levy suddenly spoke up, sounding to be in awe "We won."

"I guess we did..." Veruna said in a much louder voice than before "Couldn't have done it without you. Your plan worked."

"Ditto." Levy replied managing to bring a small grin on her face.

Wendy and Kouta waited as Levy and Veruna to regain more strength. It took a few minutes but the pain coursing through both girls were starting to dull. Levy and Veruna still couldn't move properly but at least they were feeling better then when they had first woken up.

Levy managed to move her head upwards to where she remembered she defeated Kurai in the match. She was glad to see the girl was still there. Suddenly, a thought came in to her mind.

"Kouta, can you heal Kurai, the girl unconscious over there?" Levy asked.

"B-But isn't that dangerous? She could hurt us if I heal her."

"Yeah, but if you heal her just enough to bring her back to consciousness, that would be good. We need her. She's got answers to the question we have."

Kouta nodded his head, understanding Levy. He quickly walked up to the girl, Kurai, and used his healing magic. She was less wounded then both Levy and Veruna, mostly covered in burns, which he could easily heal in a minute.

After he was done healing her, he sat back, waiting. It didn't take long, either.

There was a low groan from Kurai as she started to regain consciousness.

"Dammit..." she cursed as soon as she could open her eyes.

She tried to move but her body was refusing to co-corporate. Her body burned in pain. What happened? Oh right...She was beaten. By the Midget and Blondie. She quickly raised her head and stopped in the process when she noticed the blonde hair and amber eyes kid in front of her.

She stared at him for a few seconds before the kid scrambled away from her, shivering.

"D-Don't! N-No eyes!"

Kurai wondered what the hell was going on when she looked around and saw that there was another little girl with blue hair and brown eyes standing next to the midget. And, the midget...was looking at her.

"No!" Kurai blubbered "How can you be awake?! My poison should be destroying you and Blondie! You shouldn't be awake."

"I and Kouta healed them. Your poison has been nullified." Wendy announced.

There was a moment of silence where Kurai stared at Wendy processing her words, before her head dropped back down on the floor. She let out of bitter chuckle.

"I can't believe this. This shouldn't have happened."

"Looks like someone's a sore loser." Veruna laughed, feeling a lot better to what she was.

There was a moment of silence.

"Kill me."

Wendy's eyes widened at Kurai's words in pure shock. She couldn't believe someone had just asked that. How could someone just ask that? She wasn't the only one so surprised. Kouta looked like his eyes were going to pop out of his socket. Veruna mouth dropped open slightly in shock and Levy looked like she thought Kurai was insane.

"What?" Wendy said aloud "W-We can't do that!"

"You don't understand, little kid. You have to kill me."

"No way!" Veruna yelled out "You must be insane."

"You don't understand!" Kurai yelled out in a loud voice causing everyone to fall silent around her. Kurai took a deep breath as she spoke again, her voice full of pain,

"Killing me will be a blessing...The Lord...It will not be long before he finds out I lost the match. And when he does..." Kurai's voice turns cold and she speaks in a mere whisper "He will break my mind."

No one said anything to her. They didn't know what to say. Wendy had never heard anyone speak like this, she had never heard anyone speak with such fear tainting their voice.

"We are not going to kill you." Levy finally spoke up, her voice firm "We aren't like that. And, this Lord, we'll beat him too."

Kurai didn't reply. She didn't know how.

"Plus," Veruna spoke up "You owe us your side of the bet. If we win, you'll tell us everything you know."

Kurai's eyes widened at her words. Tell everything? Could she? Her mind whirled as thoughts consumed it. How long did she have left? The Lord must have not found out yet since he must be busy with the second in command of Scarlet Destiny. But once he would find out...

Kurai's heart raced in fear. Did it even matter? What did she have to lose now since death mark was already on her? She knew very well her mind was long gone. She had taken in this fact the moment she became a member of Lacus Animarium.

"A huntress always keeps her oath. I'll tell you what I know." Kurai announced, making her decision.

Once she announced this, there was a mixture of surprised. Levy was the most since she didn't think Kurai would agree to keeping up her side of the bet. Levy swallowed hard, wondering what to ask her.

"Are Fairy Tail minds being manipulated?" Levy asked, knowing this was the first truth that needed to be known.

Kurai lifted her head, her eyes connecting to Levy's as she answered,

"Yes. My Lord has manipulated your minds."

Levy felt like someone punched her gut at the answer. So...it was true. They were all getting manipulated. That meant...

"The memory...Lisanna memory of Lucy killing Elfman! Then that-"

"It was a fake memory my Lord implanted in her mind. That never happened." Kurai interrupted her.

Levy couldn't swallow as the lump formed in her throat. Tears filled her eyes. This mean...Lucy was innocent! She is innocent! And she and the rest of the guild had tortured her. No, worse, they didn't believe her when she told the truth and kicked her out. They really had done the unforgivable. Levy had never felt like this before. The feeling of...being a monster.

Yes, that's right. Levy felt like she was a monster for doing those unspeakable things to Lucy.

"If that memory was fake...Then what about Elfman? Is he alive?" Wendy spoke up, her voice urgent.

This was it. The answer. Kurai looked towards Wendy, answering,

"The one you call Elfman lives."

Levy felt two emotions to that. One was utter happiness. He was alive! She couldn't really believe it. Was this a miracle? It had to be. It felt like a dream to know he was alive. The other emotion was despair. This was just another confirmation. That Lucy was speaking the truth and that Fairy Tail was more in the wrong then anything. Levy couldn't help but wonder how other guild mates would react. What would Makarov say? Do? If he knew this truth.

Wendy couldn't help but grin at this truth. She was more than glad that Elfman lived. She always knew that Lucy was innocent. But, not knowing about Elfman had always made her feel dread. But now that she knew, it felt like a weight was lifted off her shoulder.

"Where is he?" Wendy asked.

"No point of telling you guys. You won't be able to reach him. Trust me. Not one of you would be able to pass Blue. He would destroy you in a blink of an eye." Kurai couldn't help but snicker.

Wendy wanted to ask more about that but before she could someone else spoke up,

"Why?" Kouta suddenly spoke up causing Kurai to turn to the boy who stared firmly at her, not turning away or cowering for once "Why did you do this? Why did you manipulate Fairy Tail minds? What is this all for?"

Kurai took a deep breath,

"You actually weren't meant to be involved."

"What do you mean by that?" Veruna asked, clearly confused like everyone else.

"I mean your guild, Scarlet Destiny. It wasn't meant to be involved in anything. Nor was Fairy Tail really. None of this was meant to happen. We only needed one person. No one else mattered." Kurai answered.

Silence for a second before Wendy spoke up,

"Who did you need?"

"Lucy."

Wendy's mouth dropped open. She didn't believe this. She couldn't. They wanted...Lucy! She didn't, couldn't, understand why. She wasn't the only one. Kouta looked really confused, a crease came in between Levy's eyebrow as she thought in confusion. Veruna was the same, confusion evident in her eyes.

"I don't understand. Why do you need Lucy?!" Wendy asked out loud.

Kurai opened her mouth, closed it, and then bit her lip as she thought about what to say,

"I can't answer you fully..." Kurai started "I don't know everything about this either. The Lord...He only knows the reason. He wanted Lucy. And the rest of us, obey our Lord. We don't know why he wants her either. All we know, is that he needs her for one thing..."

"What's that one thing?" Veruna prodded.

"Lucy is the only one who can open it."

"Open what?" Levy asked confused.

Kurai let out a frustrated yell,

"I told you! I don't know! All I know is that we need her to open it. She's the only one who can. The Lord needs her to open it. We made up this plan to get her to open it! Everything was working fine until Scarlet Destiny came into the way! You guys got to Lucy first before we could. Otherwise, none of this would have happened! We would have Lucy in our grasp and it would be open by now!" Kurai yelled out.

Wendy couldn't really understand what was happening. What plan? And how did Scarlet Destiny get to Lucy first. She thought back to what happened when Lucy got kicked out the guild. But, she didn't know where Lucy went after. She just knew that Ren found her. Did that mean anything?

Suddenly, a loud scream broke Wendy out of her thoughts. Her eyes widened as she watched as Kurai seemed to wither on the floor, both her hands gripping her head. She seemed to be in a massive amount of pain.

"W-What's happening? Are you okay?" Kouta asked as he started to rush to Kurai's side to help her.

"Don't come near me!" Kurai roared causing Kouta to stop in his tracks "You can't do anything. T-This is my punishment." A pause as Kurai let out another scream, tears running down her face "The Lord has found out...I...lost...He's breaking me."

"Shit, we have to stop this!" Veruna yelled as she watched Kurai helplessly struggle, gripping her head.

Everyone agreed with her. But, no one knew what to do. All they could do was watch in horror and helplessness.

"Before...I break...There's something you must know." Kurai started as she gritted her teeth, forcing herself to speak, forcing the Lord back from her mind "Red and Blue...Their not bad. The Lord is manipulating. It's because..."

Before Kurai could utter any other words, she let out a shriek that even the angels in heaven could hear. Wendy and Kouta ran to her and knelt beside her, wondering if their was anything they could do to help her. It was too late though.

"She's unconscious. Her breathing fine and also her heartbeat...She's just unconscious for some reason." Kouta answered.

"What the hell is this? Isn't she in the same guild?! How could someone be this cruel?!" Veruna yelled out.

No one could answer her. Levy too found it disgusting that someone could do this. She really despised this Lord character.

"What do we do now?" Wendy asked as she looked down at Kurai who looked to be sleeping.

"You have to leave." Levy spoke up.

"Huh?"

"Go to Sarah. We know that wherever she is, so is the Lord. And other people too. They need healers. We can't keep you here. We should be fine by ourselves. We'll stay here with Kurai and see if she wakes up." Levy said.

Wendy looked at Kouta who nodded his head at her, agreeing with Levy.

"Okay! We'll leave now, Levy! We'll find Sarah as soon as we can!"

"Shit, I can smell Jared." Ren announced out loud as he spun towards Natsu, Lucy, Happy and Keahi.

They were all by the door, ready to enter the room.

"Really?" Lucy asked as she bit her lip.

Ren nodded, "Can't miss his scent. Come on! We have to hurry! He might not be in the room yet!"

They all nodded their heads at Ren. Quickly, Ren spun around to the room and raised a foot. He quickly lashed out the foot, kicking the door open. If it had been any other scenario, Lucy would have scolded Ren for not opening the door properly.

All five of them rushed into the room. Ren quickly inspected it. The room was very large. There were huge chandeliers hanging from the ceiling giving the room a slightly eerie glow. The floor was made out of marble. No furniture.

Suddenly, Ren stopped his inspection mid-way as he heard a huge thud. He turned around to see the one other door leading the room being flung open, revealing a figure that seemed to be full of rage.

Jared.

Ren could easily spot the dark look in his masters eyes. He couldn't really remember the last time he saw that look. It had been a long time. He could tell that Jared was more than furious. He was...out of his mind in rage.

"Jared!" Ren yelled and was about to say more when he heard a voice behind him stop him,

"Ren..." Lucy whispered.

Ren turned back at Lucy and saw her staring at something towards his right-hand side. Ren quickly turned to that direction. Then, he stared.

There was a platform taking up a quarter of the room. It was black and a good height from the floor. This wasn't what caused Ren to stare. It was the lone figure that was standing there, completely still, showcase like some sort of sick trophy.

Sarah.

She was staring in front of her. Her body was completely straight, both hands behind her back. No emotion was on her face. It was like she was some blank piece of paper the way she just stared in front of her.

"Sarah..." Ren heard a voice call out softly behind him.

He spun around for a second to see Jared. The look of fury was gone from his masters face to be replaced by worry. His eyes were soft as he stared at Sarah. His body shook slightly, and he looked to be in some emotional turmoil.

Ren quickly looked back at Sarah to see if she reacted...but she was still the same. Staring blankly in front of her, her eyes concentrating nothing. She didn't even react to Jared calling her name.

"Sarah!" Jared yelled, out of his daze.

She still didn't react.

Jared gritted his head and started to run towards the direction in where she was standing. All that could be heard was Jared's harsh footsteps as he desperately ran towards his partner.

Except,

"I would not take a step further if I were you..."

The voice echoed throughout everyone's mind. Jared stopped in his tracks, becoming levelled to Lucy and the rest of them however he was a few feet away. His eyes darkened when he heard the voice and even front here they could all feel the anger radiating off Jared. It caused Lucy to shiver as she felt the feeling wash over her.

"You bastard..." Jared spoke lowly "Where the hell are you?! I'll kill you for touching her!"

The Lord chuckled lowly and Lucy could heart the sound within her mind.

"I doubt you could do that, Master Of Scarlet Destiny. It would not be good for you to listen to me for your partner's sake that is." Lord spoke.

Lucy watched Jared shake in anger and hatred. She knew what this Lord was doing. He was rattling Jared up, pushing on his last nerve.

"What did you do to her?" Lucy demanded to know the answer.

"Nothing much, I assure you. It's just that the second in command belongs to me now."

"Like hell you have her! We're going to take her back." Ren yelled out loud.

"You think so? Why, just look her. Do you really think that's your Sarah?" Lord taunted.

Lucy looked over at Sarah. There was something very wrong with her. She knew that. Everyone knew that. Why was she standing still staring blankly like that? What was wrong with her? Jared gritted his teeth hard almost like they could break.

"What do you mean?" Natsu yelled, clearly pissed off.

Lord laughing sinisterly in all of their minds.

"Simple. I took her mind."

"Impossible!" Jared yelled out causing everyone to stare at the man. He was standing still, staring at Sarah almost like he could get her to look at him with just his mind "You couldn't have gotten into her mind!"

"Oh? You mean your secret? Or should I say hers? I simply went past it."

"Secret?" Ren repeated out loud "What secret?"

Lucy nodded her head in agreement with Ren. Happy followed her lead along with Keahi and Natsu.

"Oh yes! That secret! Oh how laughable! The secret you tried so hard to keep!"

"Shut up!" Jared hissed "Don't talk about stuff that you have no idea about!"

"Oh? But I know all about it. How the second of command is nothing but a monster...is she not?"

Lucy swung back at those words to Jared. The black-haired boy stared at Sarah, mouth opened slightly, like for a moment he didn't know how to react. Monster? What the hell was Lord talking about? Why did he call Sarah a monster?

Ren didn't understand either. None of this was making sense to him either. Natsu, Happy and Keahi were even more confused. Happy knew how kind Sarah was and calling her a monster seemed to be the one word he would never describe her as.

"Stop." Jared finally spoke up, head shaking side to side "She's not a monster! You don't know anything! She's not!"

"Believe that lie, Master, but I know the truth. And, soon your whole guild will too...But, first! I wish to see your destruction! I wish to see your downfall!" Lord spoke.

"Fight me, then!" Jared yelled back "I'll rip you apart for hurting my Sarah! And then I'll get Sarah back to me!"

"No, no. I will not fight you. I know your power and strength very well, Master of Scarlet Destiny. You will beat me in mere seconds if I was to fight you. However...Luckily for me, I have found out your weakness."

Everyone's eyes widened at those words. Lucy remembered her first fight with Jared. How powerful he was. But, she remembered how he told her he had a weakness. Could the Lord have found out that weakness? If he had then...She knew it was bad if that weakness was found out.

Suddenly, Sarah moved. She took a simple step forwards almost like a puppet on a string. Jared watched her move carefully, helplessly even,

"Sarah..." he whispered like saying her name could bring her back.

"Your weakness is...her. Sarah is your weakness. Under no circumstance can you hurt her. She gave you everything, a new life, a new way to live. You owe her the very life you live. Therefore, you can never inflict any pain anything. You cannot touch. You simply can never hurt her."

Lucy knew what the Lord said true. Jared couldn't touch Sarah. Not at all. He couldn't. They were that close. So, of course he could never hurt her...But...how was this weakness...Unless...

Lucy's eyes widened in horror as she was the first to figure it out. No...NO!

"Of course, under any other circumstance she can never hurt your either...However, like I said she is now mine. Her mind belongs to me. She is my puppet. So...I wonder what would happen if you had to fight her..."

"Well. its time to find out..."

"I have one order for you which you have to follow to earths end and beyond. An order you must follow to the very end, dear Sarah..."

Pause.

"Kill the Master Of Scarlet Destiny."

Sarah went into action. She quickly ran, jumping off the platform, and racing towards Jared. Her movements were accurate like she was some sort of doll being made to move. The sword raised high in the air.

Jared stared at Sarah, frozen like a statue. He couldn't move. The picture of Sarah racing towards him with a sword...His mind simply couldn't comprehend it. He couldn't take the sight of Sarah like this. He had never imagined something like this could happen.

Sarah rushed to Jared, unphased. Her blue eyes stared directly at his...yet Jared couldn't see Sarah. He always could see her, the emotions inside of them. Yet, He couldn't see the Sarah he knew in those eyes.

Sarah was gone.

Jared's phasing magic took a huge amount of concentration. He had to be in focus to use it. But...without the focus, he couldn't phase. At this very moment, Jared's mind was in a whirl.

He couldn't concentrate. He couldn't phase.

Sarah was close enough. She jumped in the air, sword raised, ready to slash Jared in half.
