Disclaimer: I own nothing of Fairy Tail but Scarlet Destiny is all mine!
Kuro instincts were excellent. He always knew when he was in trouble. His stomach would twist and twirl as a sign, and when that happened Kuro knew he was going to get hurt or was in serious shit.
Yes, it was because of this that Kuro knew for a fact that he was screwed.
Blue would have to be the toughest enemy he's ever faced. That man was practically dancing around him and Gray. No matter, what attacked they launch, what move they strike with, Blue would simple blow past them like it didn't even exist.
Gray and Kuro had yet to make a scratch on the masked man.
"Shit! What the hell is with this guy?" Gray swore as he breathed heavily next to Kuro.
There were multiple wound's over his body. The most serious was the large scratch running from half way from his cheek to the bottom of his chin. His chest was covered in fist-shape bruises from Blue's punches.
Kuro wasn't fairing much better. He took had gashes all over his body. His shirt had been ripped in half, during an attack when Blue had grabbed his shirt to bring him close and punch him across the room, and the shirt was just hanging limply from his body.
"He's strong." Kuro admitted breathlessly "He's got a serious advantage over us. And, he knows it."
"Mr Yami, Mr Fullbuster, would you like to take a rest? I would be most happy to obliged while you try desperately to get back on your feet to attack me again." Blue asked calmly, sounding completely serious.
"I am so going to beat that smug ass of yours." Gray mumbled under his breath at Blue's words.
Kuro agreed him. He would have said something if another voice didn't grab his attention.
"Water Lock!"
Kuro eyes zoomed to Juvia and Slave just to see the latter man get encased in a globe of water. Juvia was standing in front of him, a small smile on her lips, and a her spare hand raised.
Slave let out a gasp in the globe causing bubbles to float out of his mouth. He seemed to go into slight shock at suddenly being surrounded in water. Then, she shock eased off and a grin formed on his face.
One of his hands started to glow blue. Slave threw his hand outwards and a trail of blue slime came out of it. The blue sticky substance broke out of the water and hit the floor outside of the globe.
Slave's smile grew wider and he gave a little tug. Suddenly, Slave lurched forwards, breaking out of the water surface due to the trail of blue sticky substance being almost acting like a human, pulling him out of the water.
"You broke out of Juvia's water lock." Juvia spoke with a little grimace and slight impression.
The only other person who had done that in a fight thus far had been Gray. Kuro watched the scene with a little worry. Juvia wasn't doing as bad as he and Gray was, but she was in no position of power.
At this rate, Kuro knew they would lose the match. He and Gray weren't going to last that much longer against Blue. After Blue, finished them he would go for Juvia. Then whoever else the blue masked man would find.
No, Kuro could not allow it. He had promised Ren that he would win this match. He promised Lucy too. He couldn't just lose this fight. He couldn't lose this fight because if he did, his guild would be in trouble. There had to be something he could do. Something. Anything.
Suddenly, an idea sprung to Kuro's mind. He looked directly at Blue who looked back at him and Gray with obvious boredom. If he was to do this...It would be risky, no, it would be downright dangerous. It might not even work. He couldn't even remember when he last use this technique. Hell, if he remembered correctly, he was pretty sure Jared forbid him from using it. It was just too dangerous. But, what other choice did they have? None.
Kuro knew this was the only chance he and Gray have.
"Gray, I have an idea to beat this guy..." Kuro started.
Gray snapped his head to Kuro, eyes blazed.
"What is it?"
Kuro hesitated.
"...I need you to protect me."
"What?!"
"Just listen to me! I'm going to do something that's going to leave me completely defenceless. So...You have to protect me. Can I trust you?"
Gray listened carefully. Kuro was acting to differently. He sounded...slightly frightened. Panic. What was this black-haired guy up to? Whatever it was, Gray could tell it was a last option.
"Of course you can trust me." Gray answered in determination.
Blue stared at the two that were whispering to each other. What were they were planning? Did they not know it was rude to leave a person out of a conversation?
Suddenly, Kuro turned his way and stared straight at Blue. The man in question eye brows drew up in confusion underneath his mask. There was something very different with the way Kuro was looking at him. He was staring at him with strong determination, slight hatred and a huge aura of bravery.
Blue had to give credit where it was deserved. He, at this moment, could not read Kuro one bit. He really had no idea what he was thinking.
"I am going to beat you. I promised the people in my guild I would and I will not break that oath. I am going to give you back the pain and despair you put on my guild and Fairy Tail's in ten folds."
Kuro suddenly bended down, slamming his palms to the floor. Blue raised his right hand when he felt the tingle of magic coming out of Kuro. So the poor fool was going to use his shadow magic? He would just absorb it again.
The magic vibrating out of Kuro seemed to get bigger, more stronger. Blue took a slight step back as he noticed it. Kuro was not using his shadow magic. No, this felt different. He couldn't quiet put into words or thoughts he was feelings.
Gray had noticed it too. Kuro was not radiating tons of magic power. It was a raw form of magic, Gray could tell instantly. With this increase of power, even Juvia and Slave felt it as they stopped mid-way in their battle.
All eyes concentrated on Kuro who was staring at the space between his palms on the floor.
Suddenly, Kuro let out a deafening roar. It bounced off the walls, surrounding the people in the corridor.
That was Blue's sign. Whatever Kuro was doing, he did not like. Not one bit. He would stop this boy at once. But before he could even take a step he noticed it.
Blue's eyes widened in shock under his mask. His eyes concentrated on the floor in front of him. No, not the floor, rather his very own shadow. He was staring at his shadow in clear awe.
He could not believe it. His shadow was elongating in front of his eyes. It was getting taller. Then suddenly when his shadow reached the space halfway between Kuro, Gray and Blue did it suddenly shot upwards.
Blue watched carefully as his shadow seemed to form a big blob of nothing in the air. The blob started to move, twist and reform. It was taking a shape, a solid form.
It was taking the shape of...himself.
Blue was for once, relatively gobsmacked. His shadow had completed its structure, and was not in the form of himself. The shadow resembled Blue's physical structure right down to the spikes in the hair. Of course there were no face features, just a dark blank space of a shadow where the face was meant to be.
Blue eyes dropped to the floor again, looking at his feet this time. Except, it was gone. His shadow wasn't in front of him like it was meant to be. It wasn't connected to his feet. It was gone...No, not gone, Blue thought. He looked up at the shadow in his form.
Gray eyes stared at the shadow too. He was long gone in shock by now. He didn't know what the hell to think of this. What was this shadow? Why did it look like Blue? Juvia and Slave were in the same state, millions of questions racing through both their minds.
Gray spun to Kuro to get the answers but stopped, not letting out a single word.
Kuro...looked awful.
He looked horrid. His pale skin had gone lighter to the point where it looked like Kuro was a ghost. All colour was drained from his lips. His eyes were half closed, looking like it took an effort to open them. His body was still hunched up to the floor and it was shaking slightly.
Kuro looked severely ill. Or even worse.
Blue also noticed Kuro's state as well.
"Shadow possession...A success."
His voice sounded hoarse and painful. Gray actually winced at the sound of it.
"Mr Yami, if I may inquire, what is the meaning of this shadow in front of me?"
"This..." Kuro stated, and he blinked a couple of times as if to shake a daze off "is my ultimate attack...Your shadow is mine now. It is under my will. I separated you and your shadow to the point where I almost giving it a life of its own. I will use this shadow to attack you."
Blue blinked behind his mask, sorely unimpressed by Kuro's explanation.
"That will just not do, Mr Yami. I will simple destroy my shadow." Blue announced and he took a slight step forward.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you..." Kuro trailed off, his pale lips smirking slightly "You can't destroy your shadow. It is a part of you. A part you cannot leave behind. A person cannot live without their shadow...In other words, you destroy your shadow your basically killing yourself."
Blue gritted his teeth as he looked at his out shadow. Shadow Blue had yet to move and if the masked man had to guess, it was waiting for its masters command.
"But if you don't destroy it then it will most definitely kill you. Your shadow is as strong as yourself. And once I command it, your shadow will stop at nothing till it brings you down. And your shadow has no limits. It will not get tired or weak. It will not stop."
"It's a lose, lose situation," Gray voiced out finally realization the situation, a grin appearing on his face "If you don't destroy your shadow it will destroy you. But, if you destroy your shadow then you die. There's no way around this!"
Blue had to admit, this was a very strong and unique attack. A very powerful attack. He was really in the middle of a situation now. Maybe he had underestimated his opponents. They were actually interesting.
Blue stared up at Kuro's form. He was clever man. He figured it our instantly.
"I would not say there is no way around this, if I were you Mr Fullbuster." Blue started, before he made sure to look directly into Kuro's eyes before he carried on "The weakness in this attack is obvious. The weakness if your very being, is it not Mr Yami. This attack looks to have taken most of your magical power. If I am predicting correctly, then I suspect you have very, very little magical power left."
A twitched of Kuro's jaw. Blue noticed the movement. He chuckled at it.
"So I am correct, Mr Yami! This attack has taken so much magical power out of you that it has left you in this weak state. And, if I am guessing correctly then if I am kill you, Mr Yami, the attack will undo and my shadow will return to myself. All I must do is avoid my shadow for a mere moment and land a killing blow on you." Blue guessed.
Kuro teeth gritted together. He knew Blue was clever...But to guess everything already was not what he was expecting. Blue looked at Kuro for a second and suddenly chuckled even louder. Kuro's reaction told him that he had been spot on.
"My, my, Mr Yami...You have left yourself in quite a defenceless state, haven't you?"
Blue raised his left hand. He concentrated. Any of Kuro's shadow and Gray's ice that Blue had absorbed before came flying out of his left hand. The blast changed direction before it hit Shadow Blue, affectivly missing it as it spun around it. Then the combination of shadow and ice headed straight for Kuro as fast as lightning.
Kuro's eyes widened. He felt a wave of dizziness flood through him. His throat closed up making him unable to speak. He closed his eyes shut. He knew he couldn't move as his limps felt like they were glued to place. There was no way he could dodge. He was way too weak.
Except of feeling pain, he heard words in place,
"Ice Make Shield!"
Kuro opened his eyes to see Gray standing in front of him in his ice make position. The ice shield perfectly shaped in front of him. Blue's attack was nowhere to be seen. Kuro knew Gray's shield them from the attack.
The shield glowed before shattering into million little specks of ice.
"Hey!" Gray shouted "If you want to get to Kuro you have to get through me first! And, there's no way in hell I'm letting you touch him!."
"Gray-" Kuro started before Gray turned to him,
"No sweat," Gray started with a grin "I promised to protect you, remember? And I am not one to break a promise either."
Kuro paused for a second before through his weakness he managed to grin widely back.
Blue let out a little growl. Things have changed rather drastically. And, he knew it. Things were no longer on his side. But, he was not losing. He would not allow himself to lose to these people.
"Shadow in my possession!" Kuro started his command "Blue is your target! Attack him till he's down for the count!"
Shadow Blue was active. Suddenly, his shadow arms started to chance and instead of two arms, there were two sharp blades in its place. Blue eyes widened for a split second at the action.
Suddenly, Shadow Blue charged at Blue. Blue could barely trace the shadow. It was quick. Very quick. Blue jumped backwards as he felt a sharp sting across his chest. He looked down as it to asses the wound but he was not allowed too. With no warning, Shadow Blue raced towards him slashing both of its arms blades as if to cut Blue in half.
Blue quickly ducked down and spun around lashing out a leg. Except...his leg went right through the shadow. Blue's eyes widened under his mask before he was suddenly hurtling backward as Shadow Blue also hit out with his leg and his attack actually connected.
Blue was about to stand up from the floor when suddenly Shadow Blue loomed over him. It raised one of its blades. Blue quickly rolled over to left and just in time as the blade crashed through the floor making a big whole.
Blue breathed heavily. His chest stung and he knew he had a nasty cut over it without looking down. This shadow contraption was good. Kuro had been serious when he said it had no limits. As soon as it finished one attack, it started another letting no time for Blue to breath or even think.
Slave gritted his teeth. He really couldn't believe what happening. Blue, his Blue, was actually getting pushed back. He was struggling. Slave couldn't really stand it.
"Blue!" Slave shouted "Don't worry! I'll save you! I'll kill Goth Boy for you!"
Before Slave could even take a step another voice spoke up,
"Water Lock!"
Instantly, Slave was once again encased in water. He was upside down as his eyes connected with Juvia.
"Juvia is your opponent!" Juvia announced "Juvia will not let you pass."
Juvia knew she had to keep Slave down. If Slave joined the battle between Kuro, Gray and Blue it would be a disadvantage for her team mates. It would make it more likely that Kuro would be killed as Gray wouldn't be able to protect him from both Slave and Blue at the same time.
Slave glared at her. He quickly turned back to Blue and he was just in time too. He watched in horror as Shadow Blue, who had turned his hands back to normal hand, smashed a fist into Blue's face.
Blue flung backwards at the force. He stood up. Slave let out a gasp, bubbles floating from his mouth. Parts of Blue mask was cracks. The cracks expanded further until parts of the masks starts to fall off leaving his face exposed.
"What the-" Gray started only for Juvia to interrupt him,
"He looks like-!" Juvia spoke before she too was interrupted as someone else finished off her sentence,
"Nyx?!" Kuro yelled out.
Gajeel eyes flung between the recently unmasked Red and Nyx. He could see it, instantly. Anyone could have.
The similarities were uncanny.
They both had light purple hair, similar cheekbone and jaw line structure. Not to mention the eyes. Red eyes were completely the same as Nyx's. They were a bright violent hue, a mysterious colour that not many people had.
"What the hell?" Gajeel repeated even louder than before "Why do you look like him?"
"I- I don't-" Nyx stuttered before she paused as if an idea came to her head "I-It can't be-"
Red was in a complete different set of mood. He didn't seem much bothered that his mask broke. No, something else had caught his attention. Red leaned down the floor, carefully. He placed a hand on the floor and picked up the broken pieces of his bracelet.
"This was precious to me." Red hissed out loud as he stood up suddenly, flinging the broken parts of metal on the floor.
Blind fury covered those purple eyes.
"It was given to me by a precious person."
Nyx didn't say anything. She couldn't speak. She could barely think. There was no way he could be...She had been searching for them for ages. And, if that was really who he was then...Life was surely playing a cruel trick on her.
"That bracelet...how did it look like?" Nyx asked in a whisper having never seen its original form since Red had always kept it as a weapon to fight her.
"It was silver and simple. Nothing special about it. Shouldn't you be answering me on why he looks like you?! " Gajeel snarked at her, still clearly angry on not knowing what was going on.
Nyx gulped hard. While the description was basic, it still matched.
That bracelet...had been hers. From a very long time ago. Nyx looked at Red with wide eyes.
"Your sister gave you that bracelet, right?" Nyx demanded feeling the helplessness stir in her heart.
"Sister? What? No! I don't have a sister!" Red declared before he suddenly raised a hand to his head, wincing slightly, "Wait...I have a sister...Shit, my head hurts."
"Okay, I'm really confused now." Gajeel declared, not knowing what the hell was going on and wondering if he should just give up making sense on anything.
"H-His mind is getting manipulated..." Nyx trailed as she watched Red grip his head in pain.
She knew those signs very well. It had happened to Sarah when Zolo had tried to get in her mind when they first met. The person usually griped their head in pain if something went against the things implanted in a person's brain by a mind mage.
"It is? By who? The Lord bastard?" Gajeel asked. He couldn't fathom why Red, this prick of all people, would allow his mind to get manipulated. The dude was strong. Why would he need to get manipulated?
Nyx didn't answer for a second. She seemed confused on what to do. Then, her eyes brightened as she came to a decision. She took a huge step forwards, her boot clanging hard on the metal floor, and she gained both Red's and Gajeel's in a instance.
"Once, there was a little girl from a village. She didn't have much...Both her parents had died before she was four and she didn't really remember them. But, she wasn't lonely. The girl had two brothers. Both were older than her. She loved them very much. They looked after her. Supported her. Protected her. The three of them were happy as long as they were together." Nyx started.
Neither Red or Gajeel spoke. Red slightly interested on what the girl was saying and Gajeel felt the same way.
"But life is very cruel. The three little siblings didn't stay together for long. Their village got raided by a dark guild. Most people died. But, the little girl and her brothers didn't. Instead, they were taken as trophies from their destroyed village. They were then sold off to different organisations as slaves. The two brothers were sold off to one person while the little girl was sold separately to another. The brothers tried to save her and take her with them. They failed. That day was a dark day for all three of them. The girl had given a small bracelet to her brothers. On it a promise was placed. That they would find each other no matter what and come together!"
Nyx paused in her explanation and looked directly at Red's face who shared the same features as her,
"We made that promise together."
The story was one of loneliness. Everyone knew that.
"And what?" Red said, raising his eyebrow "You think that I'm your brother? That were siblings?"
Nyx stared back directly at Red's disbelieving look.
"I'm positive we are."
"Well, you are bat shit crazy." Red scoffed out in denial "Sorry to burst your bubble but I don't have a sister."
"I think you're the one that's crazy, bastard." Gajeel taunted back remembering Red's momentarily lapsed when disagreeing and then agreeing he had a sister.
Red was about to swear back at Gajeel before Nyx suddenly spoke up with one word,
"Itsou?"
"What?!" Red yelled as he looked over at Nyx in complete and utter shock "How the hell do you know that name?!"
There was no possible way. None what so ever. She could not know that name. Nyx didn't seem to hear him as her eyes seemed to wonder around her room as she concentrated.
"No, that's wrong..." Nyx seemed to mumble to herself as she shaked her head, "Itsou, my eldest brother, was always very reserved and found it hard sometimes to show emotion. He could act a bit cold towards us but he would do anything to for us. He was kind. But, you don't act like that. Your not Itsou. Your my second brother. The one who showed his emotions on his face and refused to give up even if he was terrible at something. He was an idiot too but a lovable one..." Pause.
"Akito."
Red literally flinched when he heard that name. She was...right. That was his name. His real name. She couldn't have known that though! The only people who knew where in his guild and he doubted anyone told her that. So, how else did she know his name? Not only that she also knew his brother, Blue, real name too. To know both their names...was too much of a coincidence. He couldn't lie about the appearance either. She did have similar features to him. Too similar.
Could she be telling the truth? Were they really related? Was she really his sister?
Suddenly, pain flew throughout Red's head. He gripped his head in pain. Why did it feel like his brain was on fire? What was happening?
"No...You can't be...I don't have a sister," Red muttered "...But...It can't just be me and Itsou. I do have a sister...Damn it!"
"You do!" Nyx said loudly stepping forwards, tears gathering at the bottom of her eyes "It's me! I'm Nyx! Nyx Sosa! And I'm more sure than ever now! You are my brother."
"Stop it!" Red hissed as the pain in his mind seem to consume him the more she spoke those words "It's hurting! I don't believe you!"
"You know what, asshole, I actually believe this girl. She's telling the truth, you know." Gajeel spoke up following what his instincts were telling him that the girl was right.
"STOP IT!" Red yelled as he suddenly bended forwards and slammed both his hands on the metal floor "I DON'T HAVE A SISTER!"
Suddenly, the room became an active battlefield. Large lines of metal in the shape of sharp spears flew out of different parts of the room. They headed straight for Nyx and Gajeel.
Both of their eyes widened in shock at the attack.
Gajeel jumped and turned as he dodged the multiple sharp spears being thrown at him. He heard loud crashes behind him but he had no time to react as more spears seemed to come out of nowhere trying to pierce him through.
Nyx made a mistake of thinking that she could manipulate the material of her clothes into metal too to protect herself from the mistakes. The first spear came for her right shoulder and instead of bouncing/scraping off like it should have, the spear went right through her shoulder.
Nyx eyes widened before she let out of a below of pain. She dropped down to the floor as tears unwillingly trickled down her face. The spear retreated from her shoulder causing Nyx to let out another roar of pain at the removal. Blood instantly gushed out from the wound, staining her shirt. She was losing a lot and it was coming out fast.
While dazed with pain, she failed to notice another large metal spear coming straight for her, this timed aimed at her. Nyx was in way too much pain to move or even think about the spear heading for her.
Suddenly, Nyx felt her stomach plummet as something grabbed her from around the waist and quickly moved, carrying her body off to the side in a movement as fast as lightning. Nyx got the pleasure of looking as the spear crashed into the ground where she once had stood.
Looking up, she stared into Gajeel's eyes who stared at her, no emotion on his face.
"You should really look out for yourself more."
"How did he-" Nyx stopped as she let out a low moan in pain "I should have been able to block that with the material of the clothing."
"Not going to happen, girly," Gajeel started but before he could carry on, large spears headed towards him yet again.
Gajeel was ready. He quickly started to dodge them, holding Nyx awkwardly with one arm.
"Red has changed the property of the metals. I can tell just from the smell of it. He made it some much stronger than before. You won't be able to block it like that." Gajeel answered while he dodge the attacks.
Nyx looked towards Red who was still in place. Both of his palms were still on the floor, using them to control all the metal in the room. The attack he was sending was relentless. He was really trying to kill them now.
They had to get out of this room. Now. And, Nyx had an idea how.
"Gajeel, I can carry on with the idea I had before now that the bracelet is broken. I can get us out of this room. I know I can." Nyx explained through the pain.
"You sure about that? That's a nasty wound on your shoulder."
Nyx looked down at her right shoulder. She could clearly see the whole put through it. It couldn't stop her though. She could always get Kouta to heal it later. But, that wouldn't happen if they didn't survive this.
"I'm sure," Nyx said as Gajeel jumped over a spear with her in tow "I just need you to get Red to take his hands off the metal floor. These spear attacks will stop if he's not touching the floor as he can only directly manipulate metal with his hands."
Gajeel paused for a second before he thought about what Nyx had said. Then, he grinned manically.
"I sure as hell can do that! I owe the asshole a beating as it is!"
When Gajeel had the moment when he could place Nyx down without being made into Swiss cheese, he took that chance. Quickly, with Nyx on her feet and seeming to be able to dodge the rabid spears, Gajeel went to action.
He ran like a bull straight at Red, head on. Spears came at him from every direction. Gajeel jumped, flipped and dodged them in rapid succession. He could feel, hear his heart pound in his chest. Adrenaline coursed through his body.
More spears flew at him the closer he got to Red. It was getting to dodge. Gajeel could feel the harsh stings all over his body as he was starting to fail to dodge the spears. They were ripping his clothes, drawing blood as they scraped large wounds over his thighs and chest mainly.
Gajeel gritted his teeth through the pain.
He wasn't going to stop. Finally, he was close enough.
"Iron Dragons Club!"
His hand transformed into the shape of a club. He pulled it back and quickly launched it at Red. Spears came in its way as a blockage but Gajeel's club smashed right through them.
Red eyes widened at that. He was sure that would have stopped Gajeel's clubs. But, what he didn't know was that Gajeel had eating some of Red's manipulated metal which had given him an extra boost with his own iron.
The iron club hit Red directly on the under Red's chin. Ren flew upwards, his hands leaving the floor. All the spears which were coming at both Nyx and Gajeel stopped instantly.
Nyx who had dodged the spears and watching Gajeel's movement knew what she had to do. When Red hand's were off the floor she knew she had a minimum chance.
Quickly, she ran up the wall for a bit of leverage before jumping off it. She concentrated all her magic, as much as she could, on her right boot as she turned it into the hardest material possible.
Nyx's booted leg smashed onto the metal floor with a solid clang. There was a moment where nothing seemed to happen until million cracks like spiders webs expanded from Nyx's booted foot.
Gajeel looked down just in time to see the cracks go underneath him. The next moment, the metal floor disappeared beneath him as it cracked into a million pieces.
For a moment, Gajeel sliced through the air as he fell downwards. That moment was soon over as Gajeel's side hit the floor with a deafening blood.
Gajeel let out a voice of pain as he was sure a bone in his left arm broke since he landed directly on it. Or maybe it was his left leg. Gajeel couldn't tell as he was in a daze from the fall.
Nope, now it was coming to him. It was actually both his arm and leg that were broken. Yup, that was great.
Ignoring the pain, Gajeel looked around the room. While dust filled the air, he could tell this room was very much normal. Pieces of metal littered the floor from the actual metal floor above. Gajeel flipped, so he was lying on his back instead of his broken arm and leg and his eyes trained on the high ceiling of the room before, eyes on the millions of metal pipes.
It had been a long way down. A very long way. It felt like he jumped off a large cliff.
Suddenly, Gajeel heard a groan near him. He quickly looked to the side to and spotted Red not too far him. The man opened his eyes before quickly shutting them. Metal covered half his body making it so he was stuck in place.
"I think my backs broken..." Red trailed, his voice fall of pain
"She broke the metal floor to get us out of the room," Gajeel told himself "Your sister is crazy."
Red didn't reply.
Then, Gajeel quickly looked up to look for Nyx. He couldn't see her. A little panic struck him thinking she was dead.
"Hey, girly! You alive?" Gajeel asked out loud.
There was only silence. Shit.
"Yeah.." a voice croaked out.
Gajeel felt slight relief through him. He watched as some metal started to shake not far from them. Then he watched as a gloved hand raised high in the air. He couldn't see her properly but he thought she was covered in metal properly.
"I can't move though." Nyx grunted out in pain.
"I don't think any one of us can with the stunt you just pulled." Gajeel scoffed as he looked down.
Nyx smiled in her place.
"Hey..." a new voice interrupted and it belong to Red.
Gajeel looked towards Red. There were a flew scratches on his face that he didn't see before. Not to mention that the bottom of his chin was turning swollen and turning purple from Gajeel's club hit. His face was concerted in pain. Gajeel could tell that Red had suffered more than anyone from that.
"That story... What happened to the girl after she got separated from her brothers."
Another small gap of silence.
"She suffered through a few years of pain. As a slave, she had a very cruel master that used her like...a beating bag...But she never gave up. She knew she would find her brothers. However, she got saved. By an old man who has no magic but a big heart. He could have left me there, but this man, could not do so. He took her in, helped her back to her feet. He became very important to her. She saw him as her father. And, then she joined the brilliant guild of her father...No a brilliant family. She's happy now...But, still sad at the same time. She wants her brothers to be with her. She never stopped looking for them. They were lost to her for a very long time. But that's all she needs to be complete." Nyx explained, her voice vulnerable.
Only silence returned her answer. She waited patently wondering what Red would say.
"I don't know if your my sister...I can't remember if I even have one. I'm not stupid, I know what the pain in my mind is. It's a sign of manipulation. I don't know why or what is it, but the Lord has done something in my mind that have not even realized. As such of a high level mind mage. I don't know what the manipulation is or why he did it...But it's not like any of this matters."
"Why not?" Gajeel asked, rather curious.
Red turned to them and Nyx in her angle could see his face. He was smiling like he had before, except this time, there was...sadness in it.
"I have lost this match...My mind will soon be broken."
"Finally! A door!" Carla said with relief as she spotted the one at the end of corridor.
She and Mira had been lost for a long time. It felt like they had gone around in circles. They hadn't come across any Lacus Animarium members which she didn't know was a good thing or bad thing.
Their was that one message from the Lord guy that had really put fear in Carla's heart. She was worried for Sarah but knew that her guild mates were probably trying to save her at this moment.
She was also worried about Wendy and Kouta. But, she has a sneaky suspicion that they were heading for Sarah which got Carla even more worried about them.
"I agree with you." Mira said with a small smile "I feel like we've gone down the same corridor a hundred times."
Carla nodded her head. They both walked to the end in silence. They had no idea what to expect behind the door. It could be anything. A trap. A formidable foe.
Once they reached the door, Mira reached for the handle. She opened it slowly, just in case she needed to block an attack. Nothing jumped out of them. Instead they were faced by a set of stairs leading downwards.
"Where do you think it goes?" Mira asked.
"Only one way to find out." Carla snipped back as she started to fly down the path of the stairs.
Mira followed her, trying to make sure her steps were light. Anticipation flew through her.
Both soon reached the body and looked around.
They were in some sort of prison. Jail cells were either side of them down a very long corridor. Chandeliers hung from ceiling brightening the room. Carla was the first to notice it.
"What the-" She started as she spotted the three bodies on the floor at the end of the hallway.
Carla didn't even bother to finish the sentence. Instead, she quickly flew towards their direction. Mira who sensed something was wrong quickly rushed after Carla.
"Lily! Mia! Miyah!" Carla yelled at the unconscious bodies on the floor.
"What happened to them?" Mira asked as she quickly leant on the floor.
"No time for questions!" Carla said in a loud voices "We need to help them. Check their heartbeats first and pulse. Make sure it is strong and clear. If not, then give them emergency CPR. Regardless of the heart, make open the mouth next and make sure nothing is blocking their airway."
Carla had learned a lot from Kouta regarding health. She was proud she knew this.
Mira nodded hear head and quickly followed the orders. She inspected Miyah but at once she could tell that the heartbeat was fine. It was a bit slow due to her being unconscious was beating heavily.
She looked up to see Carla fly up from Lily seeming to be satisfied with his condition. Then, she quickly checked Mia but that was quickly done as she didn't find anything too bad with her.
"Nothing severely wrong with them. A few bruises, mainly to the head so they might have a concussion. They could wake up any minute now. Whoever did this was holding back on them for sure." Carla announced.
"Who did it?" Mira mumbled and she wondered if that person who did it, was long gone or not.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a voice broke out belonging to neither Mira or Carla,
"Mira?"
Mirajane looked up at the sound of the name to the cell directly opposite her. A small gasp escaped her lips as her hands shot to her mouth. Her eyes widened and tears filled them quickly. Her cheeks turned a rosy pink as it flooded with emotion.
She couldn't believe. This had to be dream...Yet, he was right there! He was there! Although, he looked different...Well, he actually looked like an old man but Mira could care less about that. He was alive!
"Elfman?" Mira whispered her brother's name so carefully that she if she said it, he would disappear from her reach again.
The man in question quickly rushed to the opening of his cell, wrapping his hands around he bars.
"Mira, that's you isn't it? I can't believe this! Your here! I thought I could never see you again!" Elfman cried, tears rushing down his face.
Mira nodded her head side to side as she cried just as hard of her brother. She knew she was moments away from transforming and ripping the bars off his cell. She wanted to hold her brother.
"Elfman..." Cara started, joy in her voice as she really couldn't believe the man was here and alive "Your alive! But...why do you look old?"
"Oh..." Elfman paused as he released the bars to look down at his wrinkle hands "This is a long story."
Mira couldn't help but stare in slight confusion. It was weird to hear and see her brother as an old man. She didn't know why he was like that but did it even matter when he was alive when she had thought he was dead for three months?
Suddenly, another person came into her mind.
Lucy.
Mira's joy quickly turned to horror. She landed on her knees roughly and her arms fell limply to her side.
She hadn't killed Elfman...She had been telling the truth the whole time. And, Fairy Tail had...They had really done the unspeakable. No...Mira had done the unspeakable. She had hurt her friend...her family. She never believed Lucy.
The amount of guilt, horror and despair rushed through Mira's body and left a sickening feeling in her stomach. She couldn't remember the last time she felt like she was...a monster.
"Elfman...We did something horrible, no more than that...We-Lucy-" Mira tried to put into the words what she was feeling but she just couldn't.
There was a moment of silence.
"I know." Elfman spoke up breaking the silence "Fairy Tail...kicked Lucy out."
"How?" Carla suddenly spoke up "How do you know that?"
"I know a lot of things from being here, man."
"Tell us everything you know." Mira stated as she knew she need to know the whole truth.
"I guess I'll begin by what I look like an old man..."
AND DONE! I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter!
So, basically most of you guys though Gray/Juvia/Kuro were screwed with their fight (rightfully so, I didn't think I'd make Blue such a worthy, badass enemy) so I had to make a even badass technique to counter him. What do you guys think of that scene. Then it goes to Nyx/Gajeel/Red and you see that finish fight. And you also see that snippet of Elfman/Mira/Carla at the end!
As you can all tell by now, yes, this story is soon coming to a finish. I suspect I have about 6/7/8 more chapters left at most before this is completed! So, I would like to ask you a question...Who is your fav character from this story it could be anyone! Even a villain! Tell me who you like the most and why! I think my best character is Zolo since I just love writing in his point of view! Before I even start, I think to myself "Okay, so what is the most rudest/worst thing you can do in this situation that you would never actually do" and that's basically what Zolo does XD
Next chapter focuses complete on Jared/Sarah as I will be revealing their past next week! Oh and the Lord will come in physically next chapter! So its going to be a juicy chapter!
Till next time...See yh!
