Hey all, welcome to the newest chapter. Again, a bit massive thank you to all those who read, followed, favourited my story over the last few weeks after I've come back to updating. It's so nice to see the support!

Oh and for Kristelle cate548: Ren's birthday is: February 12.

I actually have a big surprise for you all! It's in the note section at the end of this chapter so please take your time to read it!

Anyway, I don't actually have much to say here, so let's just get on with the chapter!

Hand's threaded into blazing red hair, gripping the strands right at the root, and pulled harshly. She felt like her head was made of fragile glass and was on the brink of shattering. Her vision was a blurry mess as tears leaked from her eyes travelling the smooth plains of her cheeks before falling off in large droplets.

Erza let out sharp pangs of breath, eyes bulging and mouth gaping. It felt like someone had wacked her head brutally with a blunt object or she had just shoved the offending object into a dicer. Regardless, this wasn't a experience she was used too. Pain was something Erza was accosted too very well due to being a S-Class mage but even she couldn't truly define what was happening to her.

All she did know was that her mind had felt like it was exploding from out of nowhere and it had brought her down to her very knees. Oh, and how she truly despise the weak persona she was letting spill from her body. More so when her enemy, Master Kyron, was just a mere few feet away from her staring with keen oak eyes.

Mere seconds pass, thought it felt like hours projected in her mind, before the sensations slowly started to ease off leaving only a single hollow thought bouncing around her brain.

Lucy didn't kill Elfman.

Erza couldn't established why this thought was in her mind. Nor could she pin point exactly where it had come from. All she could feel with every inch of her body, right down to the molecular level, was that this thought was a stone, cold truth.

A...truth.

Lucy didn't kill Elfman. She had done nothing wrong. She was no sinner, criminal or evil mastermind. Her mind started to stir in a rapid blur as thoughts, emotions and memories became a mixed whirling pool deep within her body. Erza felt like she was bait on a fishing pole, holding onto her sanity by a mere strand.

"It seems the Lord has undo his mind magic on you." Kyron spoke softly as he continued to over look Erza from his place on the floor.

He was still suffering from the wounds inflicted by the red-headed S-Class mage however the pain had died to a dull thud. He couldn't move a inch and blood still oozed from the gaping flesh wounds that cascaded across his body.

"..."

For once in her life, words failed Erza. What was she feeling right now? Guilt? Remorse? Horror? No...none of these words were adequate enough to sum up the appalling agony that was riveting through the depths of Erza's body. There was no words in the dictionary that could give a accurate descriptions of the emotions that were building and stirring in the pit of her stomach. She felt like her body was tearing itself apart on the inside.

"I hurt someone close to me...I refused to believe them...Lucy didn't kill Elfman..."

The words that brushed past her lips felt like they had a will of their own. Erza didn't even realised she had said them until her ears echoed the sounds in her temple. And, even after she finally registered it did nothing to halter the consuming feelings riddling her.

"It's not your fault," Kyron spoke up again, drawing Erza's stirring attention to him "You were being controlled. All your actions were being forced. The thoughts clouding your head about Lucy were none of your own. You are not to blame."

"No!" Erza hissed vehemently before she could stop herself "I did this. It was me. It doesn't matter if I was being controlled or not. Being controlled is no excuse! I should have realised! I should have been able to overcome it! I...should have not been so weak..."

Yes, Erza finally came to understand. She was weak. Her weakness led to her hurting a family member. Her weakness has caused her to commit unforgivable acts. Mind magic did not matter in her eyes. It was still her. The words, the actions, the emotions still came from her. They all still came from her.

She had no one to point fingers at but herself.

Kyron's eyes widened in astonishment. It was only natural to assume that Erza would try to deflect any responsibilities off of herself. She could easily used the 'mind magic' as a trump card and lead a role by spurting out words of "I was being controlled", "I didn't really mean any of it", "It wasn't me! It was the mind magic!"

Yet, none of these excuses spilled from her. And, by the way that the red-headed women was acting, Kyron knew they never would.

"...Is this what it means to be selfless...?" Kyron mused, a cheerful mirth crossing across his features.

"What about you?" Erza rebounded back almost immediately "I heard your conversation with the Lord. He abandoned you, did he not? Even though you were so loyal to the man. You must hate him, right?"

Kyron didn't reply at the first. He simply let his eyes gaze gently upon a portion the ceiling that seemed a bit too far away from his perspective. Erza kept her attention on him waiting for a response.

She was not left disappointed.

"No...I could never bring myself to hate my precious Lord. He was the one who gave me this life. He was the one who saved me. It does not matter if I was betrayed or if the Lord took me for a blind fool following him like a obedient pet. It does not matter if he sees me as nothing more than a object to discard at a moment's notice...I will always be loyal to my Lord."

In this single moment, clarity bathed Erza's mind. She understood Kyron's feelings at once...Because she felt the exactly the same way. There was someone in her life that she would always be loyal too as well. Even when he hurt her, her friends, her family and his actions were too ruthless in nature that not even a saint could forgive him. None of it mattered. Even thought he was deserving of nothing, Erza could never let him go from her heart. She could never bring herself to hate him. The same way Kyron could never hate the Lord.

She and Kyron were two souls made from the same cloth.

She was a failure.

That was the conclusion Levy had come too. She was a abomination to mage kind. She had to be right? Only that sort of person could hurt their friend and not care at all in the process. Only that type of person could cause so much pain and destruction without a hint of remorse.

Tears spilled from her eyes with no end in sight. Her heart thrummed rapidly in her chest and her throat closed off like something was wedged deep into her apophyges. How could she have hurt Lucy? How could she not have believed her? Lucy was her friend for god's sake! She shouldn't have done anything to hurt her. She may not have been the one to personally remove Lucy's Fairy Tail mark but she sure was one of the people present to word. That made her just as responsible. How could she have watched that moment and not lift a finger to help?

Something warm and gentle lightly caresses Levy's right palm which breaks her out of her despair almost immediately. She manages to push through the stiffness in her limbs to turn her head to see what was the cause of the foreign touch. It was very light and airy, streaking across her palm with a tickling sensation, like she was feeling the bristles of a bird's feather.

"It's okay..."

The voice sounded sleepy and faint mimicking the same look of the blond-haired girl. Veruna had gone back to sleep for a while not long after Kouta and Wendy had left them. The poison was still in their systems just not as strong since Kouta had healed them as much as he could in the limited time he had. They still needed healing but they knew it was going to be a while before they got seen too. Kurai was still laying on the floor from when Lord had broken her mind. She was still unconscious and seemed to be in some sort of deep sleep. Levy could only imagine how dangerous things were for Kurai and what exactly was really happening with her now that he mind had been broken.

"Veruna..." Levy said, voice tinted with sadness.

Veruna let out a tried smile and her eyes shifted to the palm of Levy's hand where she was gently brushing her fingertips against the skin.

"It's going to be okay..." Veruna repeated.

"No, it's not!" Levy shouted, as tears streaked down her face even harder than before as she finally started to weep out the feelings desperately trying to escape "I hurt someone close to me! I didn't even care. I just stood there and watched. I know Lucy didn't kill Elfman. I know it now! My mind...The Lord must have done something to undo the manipulation but now I know clear. I know...she didn't do it...and it's my fault. I don't know what to do."

Levy breathed heavily, chest moving up and down drastically, as she continued to brawl her heart out. Her body felt knackered, from the poison or finally having the mind manipulation stopped or maybe even both, Levy couldn't be sure. She just felt like her brain was going to combust with her body following soon after.

"I'm a horrible person..." Levy declared as she wept.

Veruna's lifted off her fingertips for a second at those words, breaking the connection. Once Levy felt the sensation removed from her hand she knew it was deserved. She could only imagine how much Veruna must hate her and her guild now. Why would she try to comfort her with all they had done?

Suddenly Levy felt the touch come back onto her hand. This time, Veruna had enclosed her hand around Levy's and was gripping as tightly as she could despite the leftover poison still coursing through her veins. Her palm was now pressed firmly against Levy's and their thumbs were crossed over each other.

"Veruna..." Levy trailed off as she couldn't piece together why Veruna had decided to hold their hands more closely.

"Your not a horrible person," Veruna stated firmly "A horrible person does not feel regret for their actions and you certainly do now. I'm not clever, Levy, not like you or Nyx. So, I don't know what advice to give you. All I can say is that if you feel regret for something then you need to make sure you do everything you can to make it better so you don't feel it anymore."

Levy blinked rapidly as she digest the information that Veruna had just said. It didn't take long for a small smile to grace her pixie features. She took a short breath before tapping into her depleted energy reserves. Levy managed to haul her body around so she was now on her side and could face Veruna properly. Once done, she lifted up her spare hand.

It was a little harder than she anticipated but it did nothing to hinder her actions. In one smooth move, Levy managed to place her spare hand on top Veruna's so it was sandwich between both of her palms. She gripped as tightly as she could with both hands and felt a affectionate squeeze from Veruna in return.

"You've said the right thing."

Regret was something he was never accustomed too.

Gajeel had done many actions in life that he wasn't proud of. None of these he would ever voice out loud but it didn't mean those feelings didn't muster and crowd in his heart. In his old guild, things like regret, guilt or remorse were emotions that he never once felt. His past life coupled with the one he had chosen to live caused such feelings to be unimportant in his mind.

This changed when he entered Fairy Tail.

He started to regret actions. He could also exactly pin point where they had originated from as well. A small, blue-haired girl was the first person to ever made him feel the sensations of remorse. He didn't understand it at all and he hated the way the feelings had been dwelling in his chest. They churred in the pit of his stomach and he kept thinking about the things he had done for constantly. He felt annoyed and ticked off with the smallest things and it took him a little while to sort through the emotions he had never felt in his life in a very long time.

What he had done to Levy was the first thing he had ever truly regretted. He was beginning to come to terms with this and was secretly doing small actions to make it up to her. He would protect her without her noticing, help her with studying even though nothing made a lick of sense in his mind or just generally be around her as supportive figure. In the end, Gajeel was feeling like he was making it up to her and he made a silent promise that he wouldn't ever do anything to cause this same regret ever again.

He had broken that promise.

Was he any better now? A better person than he was back in the Phantom Lord guild? If someone had asked him a while back, Gajeel knew he would answer with a positive yes. He had changed a lot since entering Fairy Tail. However, now he wasn't so sure.

He remembered the time he had beaten up Lucy during the guild war with Fairy Tail. Her reliance against him even then was a admirable quality. However, this actions felt so little compared to his participation in kicking her out of the guild. Gajeel could sum this up to one reason. Back then, he hadn't known Lucy and she was part of the enemy guild. In some ways, his actions could be justified. However now he was in the same guild as Lucy, was her 'friend' and he had done the exact same thing. He had hurt her.

Was he any better than? Did he even change at all to begin with?

"Hey, Gajeel, are you okay? You were just holding your head and sounded like you were in pain. Now...your kind of...blank..." Nyx trailed off, a little bit of worry in her voice.

They were in the midst of recovering from the fight. Nyx was properly in the best shape since she didn't sustain any wounds to her limbs. Her main area of injuries was her chest as she was positive she broke a couple of ribs. She knew she had to be extremely careful since the bones could easily puncture her lungs if she made a single wrong move. Gajeel had his right arm and leg broken which was not a good combination at all. Red was properly fairing the best out of all them. He was gaining his strength back at a alarming right and had already managed to push himself into a sitting position. Nyx wasn't too sure if this was a good or a bad thing yet.

"I'm fine. Just thinking." Gajeel gruffed.

"Oh."

Gajeel continued to stare at the floor, not speaking a single work. Nyx bit her lip as she glanced at the man. He didn't seem to be a complementizing individual. What would get him so wound up all of a sudden? What was with his clutching his head? Did something happen?

While Nyx didn't know any of the answers, Red surely did. He too had his attention on Gajeel and had already pieced together exactly what had happened to him. The Lord must have stopped the mind manipulation. But, why all of a sudden and at what cost?

Things were not going to end well, Red was sure of it.

"Gray! Juvia! What's happening? Are you okay?!"

Kuro couldn't comprehend what was exactly going on. One second, he, Gray and Juvia were in a 'playful argument' after finishing the fight against Blue. Juvia had just been yelling about how Gray and Kuro were way too close for her liking with Kuro saying back with a panic that they weren't like that when both of the two dropped to the ground faster than ship sinking in a storm.

Both of the Fairy Tail members were clutching their heads and mouths popped open with agonising yells and screams. It had happened so fast, Kuro wasn't sure what to do. He could feel worry settle deep within his heart and his stomach churned like it wanted to throw back everything he had eaten that day out. Coupled this with his already very weakened state was a very negative situation. He was in no condition for another fight and if they were being attacked by another enemy all of a sudden Kuro was sure that he wouldn't be able to defend them against the useable foe.

"Do not worry so much Mr Yami," Blue started from his fallen position on the floor "They are merely having their minds manipulated."

"What!?"

"I said to stay calm. The Lord is the cause. There is nothing you can do to stop the process. So, I advise you to stay calm and reserve your energy."

"Ah, shut up," Kuro said feeling a little ticked off by how peaceful Blue was despite getting his ass beaten to the ground "Of course I'm going to worry! I'm not just going to sit here and watch them scream in pain."

With those words, he turned his attention to Gray who was the closest to him. He reached out a hand and placed it gently on the boys shoulder. He could feel the muscles tremble under his palm and the skin ripple as he twisted back and forth almost manically on the floor.

"Gray, Gray! Juvia! I'm here. What should I do? Damn it, how can I help you?"

Kuro could feel himself getting a little desperate at this point. He had become close to both the Fairy Tail members due to this fight and he couldn't actually bare to see them like this. He had grown fond of his makeshift team, when Kuro couldn't say for sure, but only that he had come to really like both Juvia and Gray. He didn't know how he could help them and the feelings of helpless grew even more inside him the longer both of them withered on the floor.

Suddenly, both Fairy Tail members stilled to a stop in perfect union. Kuro felt a little stunned at the paused movement. He hadn't expected it and he wouldn't lie that it made his heart race. Even after both of them stopped screaming in pain, neither seemed to be entirely…there...Both just lay on the ground. Kuro could see Gray's face which looked empty like he was currently in a game of poker. It was unnerving to see such a hallow look in the depths of the ice mages eyes. Kuro switched his glance to Juvia who had a similar expression. Both of her hands were still wounded in her hair and she was in a ball on her side like a child cowering from the monster underneath their bed. Her eyes seemed a little glassy and Kuro could stop the tears welling up instantly.

"Hey...both of you..." Kuro spoke cautiously, not knowing the outcome of the mind manipulation.

For all he knew, they could both get up and attack him which would be the worst scenario in his case. At this moment, he barely had the energy to beckon a shadow let alone use his powers fully. He was completely drained empty.

"Lucy didn't kill Elfman."

The words that Gray had spoken caused Kuro's eyes to widen into big pools of dark black and his mouth to pop open gently. This was the least thing he had expected Gray to say all of a sudden. It took a while for Kuro to understand what Gray had said but once it did settle down in his mind it only caused to confuse the shadow mage a great deal more. Why did Gray say that all of a sudden? Not to mention, what he said. While they knew that Lucy was innocent to a extent, thanks to Lisanna's fake memories that was shattered by Zolo, they still seemed to be very against her nonetheless. All the Fairy Tail members had been. It was like they knew she was innocent, she had done absolutely nothing wrong yet they still despised the blonde haired guts. It didn't make any sense and Kuro supposed it didn't have to. The Lord person made sure that Fairy Tail would continue to hate Lucy. For what reason, he wasn't clear on but in the end he had the upper hand and Fairy Tail was just a play toy at this point.

"It seems the Lord has reversed the effects of the manipulation." Blue said, face set a tight.

He didn't seem too happy and a part of Kuro was curious to know why. The other part, the bigger one, was way more involved with what was happening with Gray and Juvia. Blue said that the effects were gone from the mind manipulation, then that meant...

"GOD DAMN IT!" Gray suddenly swore as he held up a fist only to smash it down on the floor a second later "What the hell is this? Why am I realising this now? Why...did I not believe Lucy? Why did I hurt my friend?"

"Gray..." Kuro trailed off but he couldn't say much more.

"Juvia hurt her love rival.." Juvia whimpered from her position as she curled up on herself even more "Juvia is a bad person. She doesn't deserve Gray-Sama…She doesn't deserve any friends..."

"Hey both of you! Cut it out! You can't just say stuff like this."

"Really Kuro?" Gray seethed as he glared at the black-haired boy from his place sprawled across the floor "The mind magic doesn't matter. What I care about is what I did to my friend. This isn't how Ur or how Fairy Tail raised me to be. I should have stuck by Lucy no matter what. I should have believed her even with all the proof piled against her. I should have because she was my friend. But I didn't! And, the only reason I realise this now is because the mind manipulation is broken. And, that pisses me off more than anything. Why did it have to break for me to believe her? Why couldn't I believe her on my own free will?"

Kuro stared blankly at Gray who returned the gaze with a heated passion. Juvia let out soft whimpers from the floor. Slave was still unconscious almost left unforgotten on the side. Blue examined the people in front of him like a doctor looking at a person's innards before major surgery.

No one spoke a word.

Her body shook as she wrapped her arms tighter around herself.

Mira always thought of herself to be a open, calm, sweet individual. She tried to be the nicest person to everyone around her because she felt joy from seeing them happy with the way she interacted with them. It made her feel less of a monster and she loved to see smiles grace the features of the people around her.

Lucy's smile had been one she had enjoyed the most. The way she curled her lips up and the sparkle that would shine from her brown eyes was never disappointment to witness. There were loads of times Mirajane would be extra nice and caring to Lucy just so she could see that carefree smile. It was one of her favourite ones and she always felt lucky to see it.

But now, all Mira could see were the tears glazing the blonde-hair features as they wrongfully kicked her out the guild. It was just this thought that bounced around her head making it feel like it was split in half.

"Mira...The mind manipulation is gone hasn't it man?" Elfman spoke as he watched his sister from behind his imprisonment.

Mira did not say anything and instead let out a large sob. She couldn't stop tears even if she wanted too at this moment. Her body was on autopilot as she let the emotions that the lead.

"It has?" Carla started "I guess that explained the screaming and the clutching of her head all of a sudden. But, why did the mind manipulation suddenly get taken away? For what reason?"

"I agree, there's something really dodgy about this whole thing!" Miyah spoke, voice high-pitched and extremely loud.

"Yes, so do I. What's happening where the Lord is right now?" Mia spoke gently, taking a couple more steps so she could hide behind her sister even more.

Lily spoke nothing and instead concentrated in his mind the whole situation at the moment. They had found Elfman, albeit he was very old now, and had managed to recover from Blue's fight. Carla and Mira had joined them after some time and they now knew somewhat what the Lord wanted. Lily was a bit surprised that Blue hadn't returned yet so he could only assume the man was kept busy with something more important or he was taken down by someone from the guild. Lily wished for the latter. But, none of this answered the questions that Carla had. Why now? Why at this moment did the Lord decide to revert the mind manipulation? There had to be some reason. But, Lily couldn't figure it out at all.

"How could we...to Lucy?" Mira whispered bringing all eyes to her trembling form as she sat on her knees.

"The mind manipulation blocked all the members mind to some extent on what they had done to Lucy. Some part of them, deep within their minds, still was forced to hate Lucy. So, even though her name was cleared, they can't stop the hate. They don't know why. Think of the mind manipulation as a barrier. Now, that the Lord has taken it away they can finally feel or know everything. They don't have the hatred for Lucy implanted in their minds anymore. They are essentially free... and fully able to understand how wrong they were with their actions, man."

Carla and Lily were impressed by Elfman's wisdom. They suppose it was true when they said 'With age, comes wisdom' They had never once heard Elfman talk like that in all his life. Whatever life he lived in the past must have been a big effect on his life. He was very different from the young, boisterous man they once knew.

"What do I do brother? Because I thought she had killed you, I let her get thrown out of the guild...No, I encouraged it! So, what do I do right now?" Mira sobbed as she never felt this confused in all her life.

Elfman let out a gently smile as he bent down so he was on his knees too. He reached out a arm and despite how thick it was, he managed to get it past the gap between the bars. Mira was in perfect range and Elfman gently cupped a hand over her wet cheek. At the touch, Mira's head snapped up so her blue, soulful eyes could stare into her brothers aged one.

"There is nothing we can do but make it up to Lucy," Elfman started as he gently brushed his sisters cheek to wipe off the tears "I am to be blamed a lot for what happened. I was let free in the past. If I had warned Fairy Tail what was going to happen to them, of the manipulation and how they could have kicked Lucy out, I could have prevented the whole thing. But, I didn't and just lived life knowing that Lucy was going to be in a lot of pain. This is something I have to live with and make up for. I am just as to blame for what happened to Lucy as the rest of Fairy Tail. And, like a man, I will take responsibility for it and make sure that I make it up to her."

Mira let out a shaky breath at her brothers words. It was really odd to hear him say such things but she didn't dislike it a single bit. Her brother had grown up to be a fine individual even if she hadn't been there to witnessed it. She wondered what Lisanna would think if they brought Elfman home. For starters, they'd finally be family again properly and not just the little while they had when Lisanna had come back from Edolas. Didn't Elfman mention he had a son and daughter? That meant that Mira was aunt! And a sister-in-law. She couldn't wait to meet them. Her family had become a lot more bigger than she had realised.

But first Lucy was top priority.

"It's time to get you out of here brother."

Fairy Tail was nothing.

A guild that was built out of comradeship and love for each other was left in nothing but tatters. They had done the unspeakable, the unforgivable and there was no upside to the situation. Makarov wondered what the guilds previous masters would say about his choice to kick out Lucy. He imagined the First would most likely be the most furious at him. She was the one who made the guild due to her teammates, for love, so to have it ruined by one of his choices made Makarov sick.

The third master was sure that he made the First, Second and all the other masters of Fairy Tail that would come after him appalled by his actions. His choice to kick Lucy out would be branded as one of the guilds most darkest and unlawful moments in history.

All under his watch. All under his fault.

Loud shouts and screams echoed throughout Fairy Tail. There were many people collapsed on the floor not moving a single each. They had all been afflicted by this unbearable pain in their hands and most had gone to the ground as a result. Many had not come back up. Lisanna was one of them as she lay across the floor with eyes closed gently almost like she was sleeping. Cana was above her shaking her over and over trying to get to wake up to no avail. Other members of his guild, the oldest members, were running around like headless chicken trying to restore some sort of order.

Makarov couldn't believe what he was witnessing within his home. His children in pain because of him. After all, in the end he had the authority. It was his decision to seal the fate against Lucy. It was his final choice that made sure Lucy was kicked out of the guild. He had the last say, the last word, and with this words he did a unspeakable act with no remorse.

Makarov was positive Fairy Tail had never received this amount of loss before. Makarov let out a sharp chuckle, one full of despair at anger, at the situation they had been forced it. They had suffered casualties from a mage that Makarov had never lay eyes upon and that was most likely miles away from them.

It was disgraceful. His actions, his decision...his very being. Makarov was only sure of one thing at this moment and he spoke this thought out loud before he joined his guild in trying to save as many as he could,

"We could never be forgiven for what we have done."

"I can't heal Jared! You know I can't! I can heal every wound except for wounds to the heart...I can't heal him..."

Kouta's words kept racing through Wendy's mind over and over again. Her eyes swelled up in tears and she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Kouta was crying the most she had ever seen him do in the three months that she had known him. Sarah was holding Jared face, both palms cupping his cheeks, as droplets fell off her face only to splash onto Jared's. She still had his head on his lap and Kouta was by his side. The wound was still exposed, a sickening gruesome sight of blood and tissue, and looked worse than before.

Was life always so cruel? When a flicker of hope had appeared why did it have to die so quickly?

Wendy hated this. She always lost people she loved. She lost her dragon and the person who protected her afterwards. When she had lost her old guild it had destroyed her. She was lucky enough to be invited to Fairy Tail where she had found home again. However, after Lucy was kicked out, for her sake Wendy had to leave the guild she was coming to love. She never thought she could ever find people to love again until she got invited into Scarlet Destiny.

Now, she was more than happy with the guild she had become apart off and the people that made it up.

Jared wasn't just the master of Scarlet Destiny. He was the body, heart and spirit of the entire guild. Wendy couldn't imagine the guild without him. How could Scarlet Destiny ever function with their master? It was impossible. Wendy had already concluded Scarlet Destiny wouldn't last even if she wanted it too. Without Jared to help bond them, support them, lead them then the guild would be disbanded. Wendy was sure of it. No matter how close the guild was, there was no one suitable to take the leader position. Genta was a option but it wouldn't be the same.

Wendy would lose the people she loved. Like always. Life was always unfair to her. All she could really do is sit here and wait for the final blow to be dealt.

"Please..." Sarah whimpered softly as she bent down so her face was closer to Jared's "Please don't leave me..."

Wendy gulped hard as she heard those words. Something in her mind cracked in that moment. Yes, life was cruel to her but did she have to accept it? Was sitting here and crying going to do her any good? Had it in the past? Crying didn't bring her dragon back. Crying to bring the nice person who looked after her back. Crying didn't bring her old guild back.

Crying did nothing.

Wendy took a deep breath before bringing up both her arms and swiping them both across her eyes firmly. Once her vision was clearer with no water coming in the way, she set her gaze upon a weeping Kouta.

"Kouta!" she shouted bringing the shy boy's attention on her.

"Wendy?"

"We are going to heal Jared right now!"

At her words, Sarah's head snapped towards her. Her eyes were pool of water making it almost look like a ocean considering the blue shade of her eyes. She was staring intently at Wendy wondering where this had come from. Kouta mouth dropped open and his face consorted in pain.

"I...I can't! I told you Wendy! It's a wound to his heart. I can't heal-"

"I don't care!" Wendy burst out "Jared is our master. We have to do everything we can to heal him."

"But, I've tried Wendy! It's a wound to his heart. There is nothing I can do."

"That's not true." Wendy said firmly and she shuffled her way towards Jared so she could be beside him and opposite Kouta at the same time.

Both Kouta and Sarah looked a little confused at Wendy who paid no attention to it. Instead, she raised both her arms so they were hovering just above Jared's wounds. Her hands were parallel to one another and the both palms were facing Kouta.

"We will heal him together."

Kouta let out a sharp gasp at Wendy's words.

"Wendy, that isn't going to work! I told you already. Even if we heal him together, there is no way-"

"You don't know that!" Wendy interrupted "We have never tried to heal anything together before. There is a chance we can save Jared."

"I...I don't know." Kouta said, sounding undetermined.

Wendy wouldn't let her eyes stay off Kouta's hazel ones as she refused to back down. Not this time. She wouldn't just let life have it's way.

"Kouta, I know this is scary and I know your afraid. But, we have to try. I'm tried of losing the people that I love! I want to do everything we can to save Jared. Please, we already wasted enough time. Please help me heal him." Wendy begged.

Kouta looked conflicted as he kept switching his gaze between Jared's wound and the palms of Wendy's hands.

"But...What if this doesn't work?" Kouta whispered so lowly that Wendy was a little surprised she could hear him.

"Then...We lost. But, I won't sit here waiting for life to take its course without trying everything that we can to save Jared. I believe we can do it if we do it together. So I'm saying this again. Please, please, please Kouta! Help me heal Jared!"

There was a short moment of silence where Kouta seemed to make his final decision. With shaky hands, he quickly swiped the tears off his eyes and rosy cheeks. After he had done so, he slowly reached out both of his hand.

Wendy's and Kouta's palm pressed together firmly. There was a soft tickling sensation at the moment. Kouta's hands were a little wet with bloody however Wendy didn't mind. At once, both of the healers threaded their hands together and held on as if their survival depended on it.

Wendy glanced down at Jared who was barely breathing now. There wasn't much time. It was now or never. All at once with everything she had inside of her. This was her only option. She ripped her gaze from her master and looked up at Kouta who met her gaze dead on.

No running away.

"Together..." Kouta said slowly.

"Together." Wendy repeated, a short smile splaying across her face.

Kouta returned it before letting his eyes drift close. Wendy waited a couple of seconds as she looked upon Kouta in his peaceful ambience. She soon joined him and let her eyes shut closed. Darkness filled her vision yet she felt at peace. Healing was always therapeutic for obvious reasons and Wendy felt most comfortable when she did heal. She had to be if she wanted the magic to work. Feeling Kouta's hands against her felt like a extra pillar of strength. She loved the feeling because it made her know she wasn't alone. She had him by her side.

Wendy started to let her magic out.

Sarah watched silently as both Kouta and Wendy used their magic at once. While both of their healing auroras were usually a mixture of blue and green, now was entirely different. The healing magic they produced was a mixture of brown and yellow and still a beautiful sight to behold. It spread across the space between both of the little kids and seemed to surround their entire body's along with Jared's. It was a lot bigger than their usual healing distance that was for sure. It was a amazing sight to see and one Sarah never thought possible.

"A unison raid." Sarah spoke softly in disbelief.

She knew very well how rare and difficult a unison raid was. Only two people who had complete and utter trust with one another could preform the act. To see both young kids do something that even the strongest mages stride to achieve but failed so effortlessly made her throat swell up. She couldn't believe that they were going to this length to save Jared. She couldn't believe the trust they had for one another.

It reminded Sarah of Jared and herself when they were kids.

The blonde-haired girl glanced down on the boy's head who was in her lap. She bent down again so her face hovered just a little above his.

"I'm not going to leave your side," Sarah said firmly "because you would never leave mine. You can pull through this. I believe in you."

Sarah didn't know if Jared could even hear right now but that did not stop the supportive words spilling from her lips. This was the least she could do in this situation. Even if it meant nothing or helped not at all, at least she was staying by his side.

Seconds turned into minutes easily. Sarah was getting a little worried since she seemed to see no difference despite how long Kouta and Wendy were keeping the healing up. Maybe this wasn't enough? Maybe it was too late? Maybe...Jared was bound to be gone forever.

Before Sarah could accept the gruesome fate handed to her...Jared's eyes began to twitch.

AND DONE! Thank you all for reading the chapter! How was it? Did I do Fairy Tail's feelings justice? I feel that even if they knew about the mind magic they would still accept it as their fault. That's how I truly feel what Fairy Tail would do in the same situation.

Please read the following...Please read the following...Please read the following!

Since it's Christmas coming up, I'd like to do something special for all my readers! Last year, I did a extra ova for this story but this year is going to be something completely different! I want to hold off something big for my readers.

I'm offering to do any of my readers story ideas!

What I mean by this is that I am going to take any request/idea/prompt for my story Scarlet Destiny. Was there ever a time where you wanted something to happen in Scarlet Destiny but you thought 'Ah, the author is never going to do that!' Well, here's your chance! I am going to do whatever you want. There are a few rules to this as listed below:

1) Every person can request a story idea and I will do every one of them! (Please be aware I do get busy and when I have writers block I can't do anything. I always do come back eventually but my main priority will to be getting all requests done. I'll try not do disappoint you all)

2) They can be about anything as long as they hold relevance to Scarlet Destiny. You can go crazy with your idea! You can think of any situation you want. You can also choose any ships! Do you have crack ships for this story (RenXKuro or VerunaxNyx) well, I'm going to do those as well! Anything is up!

3) The only thing I can't accept is NSFW ideas (only because I never wrote one and don't know how comfortable I am doing it) or any 'offending' ideas

4) It's one idea/prompt/request from a person - I know anon can start posting repeatedly but I guess I just have faith in you lot that this won't happen. If I do see a particularly large influx from Anon's I might have to pirotise the people with user accounts just because I want to make sure everyone who wants to participate to get a chance!

3) Depending on the amount of story ideas, I can't promise I'll have them all done by Christmas but I can assure you that I will be working on each one of them. You will have yours!

5) All the stories will be one shots with a minimum of 2000 words each. They will be published in my Retelling of Scarlet Destiny Fanfiction.

6) I bet your all wondering how to get involved? Well, you either should post your idea as a review or PM me. Please try to be as detailed as possible with your descriptions if you want me to be accurate! Otherwise, my brain will go on a tangent!

7) All credit for the idea goes to you! At the beginning of the story I will write down your username and dedicate the chapter to you!

8) The deadline for this is 15th December.

Wow, a lot of rules but I know this will be worth it! I can't wait to see all your brilliant ideas! I do hope you all get involved since I'm looking to pay you all back for your kind reviews and readership and what better way then this for Christmas!

Thank you all...and see yh!
