Ch 10
The tired teen sighed loudly while rubbing her eyes at the very long travel. "I can't believe I let you talk me into this," she grumbled walking in step beside the winter spirit. Jack rolled his at her complaint.
"Cmon it'll be worth it," he urged positively now floating beside her.
"Why did it have to be so early?" She asked rubbing her eyes trying to hold back a yawn.
"This is the only free time I have, besides Sandy's a 24-7 worker so he's at work nonstop," he says.
Then why visit the guy when he's busy? and I don't necessarily have to meet him right now I was thinking maybe a holiday visit or something, you know?" She asked confused.
Tsk tsk... He said shaking his head, white hair whooshed dramatically with a calming breeze. A second later he was in front of her.
"You ask way to many questions," he said gently tapping her nose with a finger. She quickly swatted his hand away and cupped her red nose.
"You and noses, I swear you have a fetish with noses," she comments still rubbing her poor nose.
"And how else am I going to get answers," she mutters scowling.
"What's with the face?" He asked with a frown.
"I feel like I'm about to pass out," she says still walking ahead of him.
"You do look sleep deprived," he said before calmly drifting off leaving her on the ground.
Bah! She muttered to herself luckily this went unnoticed to Jack.
"I'll try to work on that," she says yawning.
"Be sure to smile more to, when you're tired you look cranky." he advises taking a snow globe out of his pocket. Her smile instantly vanished at seeing the globe that rested in his palm. Just as he was about to shake it she held her hand out to grasp his wrist.
"Wait!" She says making him halt his actions and look down at her. The front of his shirt was yanked down to her eye level.
"You mean to tell me you had a freakin snow globe this whole TIME?!" She yelled shaking him a little too hard.
"Since when did you become so violent?" He ask dizzily trying to see straight.
When you decided to make me walk for 3 hours at night!" She yelled pushing him away angrily. She was panting and her eyes were untrained on the winter spirit.
Three blurred Jacks stood in front of her.
"Great now I'm seeing three of you," she stated rubbing her eyes.
"Sleep," he said still keeping a distance.
"No! I don't like people looking at me while I sleep," she said with half lidded eyes.
"Fine...," he says picking her up bridal style. She was to tired to refuse so she just did as told. Slowly but groggily, but she managed to do what was told.
Hold on tight... He says only to see her arms went limp. She passed out on him.
..."Maybe this is a bad time," he thought to himself.
"Alright first thing's first, snow globe," he thought mentally listing what to do in order. He held it in his wrist and threw it in the air. As it shattered he said his destination, and jumped through the swirling vertex, holding on to both his staff an the sleeping girl in his arms. He gazed down at the sleeping girl, noticing how stressed she looked. normally when somebody looks at a sleeping person they look relaxed and at peace. not this time. her face was paler then usual and she was starting to get dark rings around her eyes. Maybe Sandy can help her. As his feet landed on the sandy grounds in the sky. when he looked up, he took in Sandy's new and improved home. Which now sat a palace made entirely out of sand. he was living a roman life now that the kids believed in him more then ever. Especially after Pitch was defeated.
"Hey Sandy!" he says as the short golden sand man walks by with a golden newspaper. when he looks up he waves at the winter spirit with a grin. fast motion pictures were made above his head. Luckily Jack now understood these fast pictures.
...It's been a while since I've posted on this sight huh:(...
