Chapter 9

When Allen awoke, there was somebody playing with his hair. He opened his eyes and was surprised to see a Ravenclaw girl, sitting upside down above him, playing with his hair. Although she was upside down, her long, dirty blonde hair didn't fall down as it would when one normally sits upside down. Her hair was completely ignoring the laws of gravity. And now, she was playing with Allen's hair. "What are you doing?" He asked.

"Playing with your hair, of course." The girl said in a very dreamy tone of voice.

"I can see that. What I want to know is why?"

"Because it's nice and soft. Also because that man over there," she pointed to another upside down person sitting further away with his back turned from the, "he gets mad every time I try to play with his hair. And that one over there," she pointed to yet another person, "I already finished playing with his hair. And now I'm playing with yours."

"But I don't even know you…" Allen said, awkwardly.

"Oh yes… How rude of me. My name is Luna Lovegood."

"Hello Luna, my name's Allen Walker."

"I know." She replied with a smile. This didn't really help Allen feel less creeped out.

Allen decided to sit up, he looked around him and noticed that the others weren't there. "Where are the others?"

"Oh… About that. While you were sleeping everyone drifted away from each other. But don't worry, they're still close."

"Okay… That's good… So, um… Do you know of a possible way to get out of here?"

"Yes I do." Luna said.

"You do? Is it okay if you tell?"

"Of course… All we have to do is take that one," she pointed to the person she showed earlier, "to a piano somewhere in this abyss of nothingness."

"A piano?" Allen asked doubtingly. "A piano. In here. I don't understand."

"I saw a piano somewhere here. Then I ran into those two and told them about it. Then the white haired one said we should go there and he'll try and play our way out of here. Come to think of it… You and the white haired one have the same feel in your hair."

The next thing Allen knew, Fred and George were standing behind him. "We don't know about you guys but, I think we're all going insane." The twins said. They looked at Allen, "we thought that you ran off and abandoned us."

"Why would I do something like that?"

"Because you're in Slytherin."

"Stop being so housist!" Allen complained.

"Sorry… But we still think that everyone is going insane."

"We've barely been in here for a day!"

"Not me!" The person that Luna pointed to earlier said. "I actually lost count if I was even counting to begin with!"

"Who're you?" The twins shouted.

The person started walking towards them. The twins and Allen were shocked when the person stood in front of them. His white hair that was a bit longer than his shoulders was tied up. There was a huge scar on the left side of his face and he wore a long coat and underneath the coat was his shirt. Around the collar area of the shirt, he wore a ribbon. He wore boots that came up to just underneath his knees. "I'm future him and I seem to be stuck inside this paradox. And he same goes for Kanda." He still looked like Allen but he was a bit taller and more mature looking.

"Bloody hell! You are the same person except you look slightly older." Said the twins.

"Well… I am around sixteen. I'm not sure how long I've been stuck here though…"

"Almost two weeks." Kanda said.

"How the hell did you know that?"

"All my meditating has played off. I am now completely one with the universe." Kanda said, completely unaware of how stupid that might have sounded. He kept meditating upside down.

"As you can see. Being in this endless void of nothingness has started to affect our brains."

The twins didn't quite look as if they were buying it. "You seem fine though…"

"I suppose that you're right. Oh, hear that? It's tea time," he pretended as if he heard some sort of bell from somewhere and started making 'tea'. He even went to 'sit down' at a 'table' sipping on 'tea cups'.

"Why are you drinking tea? Now is not the time for tea!" Allen scolded his older self.

"We're British. There is always time for tea."

"I agree." Luna said. She ended up joining him at the imaginary table.

Fred and George looked at each other and decided to join in on the imaginary tea party. "Might as well enjoy our time here."

Allen never ended up joining the tea party. Instead he sat in the corner playing with his cards. Yes he's somehow managing to sit in a corner whilst stuck in an endless abyss of nothingness. He's using his imagination… Yes… Let's stick with that.

It wasn't too long before Hermione ended up finding them. Apparently she found Harry on her way here. They both stared at the invisible tea party for a while, "what are they doing?" Hermione asked.

"Obviously they're having a tea party." Allen explained.

"Okay? But why now of all times." Hermione got her answer when the twins blurted out something about being British. "Stereotypical much?"

The darkness started to materialise once again. It seemed as if Kanda and Older Allen were already used to it because they just kept doing what they were doing before. However, after the room materialised, gravity seemed to return. Everyone who was sitting at the tea party collapsed onto each other. Kanda, in the meantime, fell from the sky and landed on his head.

They were in standing in a huge room. There were little swimming pools surrounding the room. In the corner of the room, sat a young boy with black hair that came up to his shoulders. He wore some sort of Asian-style jacket. Next to him, stood another boy dressed in a similar way. He had short black hair with two long strands coming down in the front. There was a scar of some sort that slashed across his nose.

The boy with the shoulder length hair seemed to be in a foul mood, the other boy was incredibly bubbly and happy and couldn't stop talking.

Unfortunately, no one could understand what he was saying because he was talking too fast, and also talking in another language. Kanda was the only one that actually understood what was being said. Older Allen seemed to understand a little, but not much.

This scene didn't last very long and it soon disappeared again, leaving them all alone in the seemingly endless abyss of nothing. "Where's Neville?" Harry asked after a while.

"Isn't he with you guys?" The twins said.

"I thought he was with you guys…"

"Is no one else wondering who those two are?" Hermione pointed to Older Allen and Kanda.

"Of course… How rude of me not to introduce myself. I'm and older version of Allen Walker and that grumpy looking samurai guy is Kanda." He held out his hand to Hermione.

She shook it. "Hermione Granger and this is Harry Potter."

"Hello Harry." Allen shook his hand as well.

"Let me just get this straight… We are currently stuck in a RITAS, right?" Hermione asked.

"What's that?" A majority of the group asked.

"Well. At first when I researched it, it said that it is something that causes a paradox because something has been moved out of its respectful time, causing history to rewrite itself. But more recently, I discovered that it is actually the paradox itself and inside of it, are all the things relating to the object removed from time; which is why we have an older version of Allen. And it's sad to say but… we're most likely stuck in here."

Everyone seemed shocked to hear that. Even Kanda. But Older Allen was the only one that didn't really look worried. "Well at least being stuck in here means that I can avoid the Mafia a lot easier now…"

"Huh?"

"I pissed off a Mafia boss the other day and I've been on the run ever since… Although I was actually on the run before for several different reasons."

"Why the hell would you piss off a Mafia boss?" Harry asked.

"I was playing poker and I was cheating as usual."

"You cheat at poker?"

"Well obviously… How else do you expect me to win and take all of their stuff?"

"Have you always cheated?"

"Yes." Both Allens answered at the same time. They both said it in a sort of dark tone.

"That's actually kind of terrifying."

"We should go and look for Neville." The younger Allen suggested.

Everyone grouped up and decided to stick together. Then they went looking for Neville. It felt as if they were wandering around for days when in reality it was probably just a few hours. Eventually when everyone got tired, Older Allen decided that now would be a good time for a 'tea break'. Once again, Luna, Fred and George decided that it would be a good idea to join him. Kanda on the other hand, decided to meditate.

After the 'tea break', everyone felt a bit tired but decided to keep going because if they fall asleep now, they'll drift away from each other again. No matter how much they searched, there was still no sign of Neville.

Back at 12 Grimmauld Place, Lavi was playing wizard's chess with Ron. Lavi was winning but Ron didn't seem to have noticed yet. "Checkmate," said Lavi. Ron continued to stare at the chessboard for a while, wondering where he went wrong. In the meantime Lavi was writing something down on a scrap piece of paper. "I have won sixteen times now. You have won, not even once."

"You're cheating aren't you?" Ron accused.

"Nope… but if you were playing against Allen then you would definitely have to watch out for that. He cheats at poker so I'm sure that he'd also cheat in chess."

"You talk about him a lot. It's pretty annoying. Talk about something else please."

"Okay. How about my mysterious stalker then?" Lavi suggested.

"The one that sent the howler?" Ron shivered a bit, "that was really terrifying…"

"I'm still wondering who it is…"

"If I were you I think I would prefer to not know."

"It'd be better to know because then you know who you have to avoid."

"I suppose…"

"Do want to play again? I might let you beat me this time."

"No. You won't let me beat you. I will beat you!"

They laughed at each other and set up for another game.

Neville was really scared. First, he woke up in a completely dark place; second, everyone was gone; and third, he really wanted to get out of here.

He has been wandering around, looking for everyone for a really long time now. He was starting to worry that he would never see anyone again. But he kept looking because he didn't want to be all alone in this cold and dark place. He kept wandering around and eventually he found something.

He found a piano. Not sure if it was an illusion or not, he walked over to investigate it. The whole piano was pure white. It actually hurt Neville's eyes to look at it in this dark place. The keys looked strange compared to a normal piano. They were inverted.

To make sure that the piano was real, he touched one of the keys. The sound it made was too beautiful for words. This made him feel relieved because he wasn't imagining it. He decided that he would wait here for people to find him. If he played it, people would hear the noise and would find him more easily.

The sound of a piano echoed through the darkness. "Is that a piano?" Harry asked.

"Well obviously…" Hermione told him.

"It sounds very beautiful."

Older Allen spoke, "I think I found our way out of here."

"What do you mean?"

"I might be able to play our way out of here."

"Because music will definitely help. Let's face it… You've been in here for way too long. You have gone insane."

Older Allen stopped walking, he turned around. The expression on his face changed a bit. It almost didn't seem like him. "My nephew's right, you know… He can definitely get us out of here."

Kanda hit Older Allen on the head. "Shut up, Nea! Give back the beansprout. I like him more than you."

"That's harsh… Fine. I'll go." The expression on his face changed again. He was back to how he was before. "Did Nea come out again?" He asked.

"Yep. Not for that long though."

"Okay… Anyway, let's find that piano."

Harry objected, "We have to find Neville first!"

"Chances are that he's the one playing it. A piano doesn't just play on its own."

After a while, they found it and sure enough. Neville was sitting there, playing it. "Neville! We found you!"

Neville got up and ran to them. Almost as soon as he got up, Older Allen sat down and started playing. It was a beautiful melody. And then he started singing. "Soshite Bouya wa Nemuri ni Tsuita," he had a truly beautiful voice, just as beautiful as the piano's, "Ikizuku Hai no Naka no Honoo, Hitotsu, Futatsu to Ukabu Fukurami Itoshii Yokogao. Daichi ni Taruru Ikusen no Yume, Yume." Next to the piano a bright light appeared. Strange polygonal shapes appeared. There was a sort of digital number in one of the shapes. He kept playing the piano and kept signing for a while longer. When the song was finished, he stopped. Then he walked into the weird shape that appeared earlier. He disappeared. Then he stuck his head out. "Are you guys coming or not? This could be our only way out."

Kanda was the first one to enter and soon Luna Lovegood did as well, followed by the Twins, Neville, Harry and Hermione. Inside, there was a Mediterranean styled city. It was very bright inside and the brightness caused everyone to squint a bit. "What is this place?" Younger Allen asked.

"Noah's ark."

"The Noah's ark?" Harry gasped. "I didn't expect it to look like this…"

"Of course you didn't expect it to look like this. This isn't the original. This was built after the flood but it's still the ark."

"How do we get out of here?"

"We should be able to just open a door and walk through it. Just be careful. I haven't used the ark in a few months and I don't want to cause any unnecessary trouble."

Harry was about to ask another question but Kanda interrupted him. "Which door are we going through, Beansprout?"

"Um… It doesn't really matter does it…? The best option would probably be to make a new one. But I'm too exhausted… Making a door from a dimension that doesn't actually seem to exist into a place that exists really is very exhausting…"

"I have a question." The younger Allen said.

"I can use the ark because I'm a member of the Noah clan. Does that answer your question?"

"How'd you know I was going to ask that?"

"Well we are the same person. I'm just slightly older. Therefore I more or less know what you're thinking."

"That's pretty cool! If we want to we can pretend to read each other's thoughts!"

"Or we can pretend to be twins!"

"I'm not really sure,"

"If that'll work."

They looked at each other and then burst out laughing. "Actually, it works pretty well!" They both said at the same time.

Neville, on the other hand, was incredibly confused. Hermione saw that and started explaining to him what was going on.

"So… We just walk through any door?" Luna said in her usual dreamy tone of voice.

"Actually, I was going to make-" But Allen couldn't complete his sentence because they heard voices. He quickly grabbed everyone and pushed them through the first door he could find and followed after them. They exited in the hallways of a castle. It wasn't Hogwarts but it looked similar, except newer and grander. "Sorry about that..." he looked around. "Um, where are we?"

"Beansprout… This is the Black Order." Both Kanda and older Allen got a similar expression on their face. It was a mixture of surprise and a whole range of other things.

"Kanda… We can't be here. Especially me…" Older Allen whispered.

Kanda whispered back, "we have to get out of here… Without being caught!"

"How the hell do we do that?"

"Why are we whispering?" Younger Allen whispered as well.

"Because we really cannot be here. I left as soon as I came back and they don't know where I am. Beansprout has a longer story but it is definite that he is no longer an exorcist. If they find us… I'll have to deal with people and Beansprout will be arrested."

"You're no-"

"Yes I'm no longer an exorcist! Let's save that for later and just get the hell out of here."

"Can we use the ark again?" The twins asked really loudly.

"Shush!"

Harry removed something from a bag that he was apparently carrying. It was a cloak of some sort. "I'll let you borrow my invisibility cloak. It won't hide all of us but I think it's only important that we hide Allen and Allen. Kanda would still be okay, right?" Harry said while handing the cloak to Older Allen.

"Thank you. How does it work?"

"Just put it over yourselves, it'll make you invisible." The two Allens huddled up under the cloak and soon they were invisible. "Okay, now please stay with us."

"Is somebody there?" It was the voice of a woman. She had a slight German accent. "Um… Hello?" She came around the corner. It was a young woman in her early twenties. Her curly brown hair was tied into a ponytail. She wore some sort of uniform with red lines all over it. On her right breast was a badge with a rose cross. She wore pants with boots and gloves. When she spotted the Hogwarts students a confused expression crossed her face, but it immediately disappeared when she saw Kanda. Instead she started crying. "Kanda! Y-you're alive!" She ran to hug him, "I heard rumours but I didn't believe them because I thought I was going insane! Wait. What if I'm going insane now?" She screamed. "I have to kill myself! I'm a threat to society."

"Miranda!" Kanda managed to catch her just as she was about to jump out of the window that just happened to be open. "You really shouldn't do that…"

"Are you feeling okay?"

"Yes I'm feeling fine. Why?"

"Because you seem to be acting more like a human and less like a heartless rock."

Kanda looked hurt by that statement. "I suppose I have changed a bit. If you wanna thank anyone, thank the Beansprout."

Miranda let out some sort of strange yelp. "Allen isn't here anymore! And I seem to be imagining strange kids in school clothes staring at me with strange expressions upon their faces!"

"Um, Miranda. They're real. They're with me."

"Oh! How sweet… You're helping children in need." She looked at the Hogwarts students for a while with a creepy smile, "aren't you going to introduce me?"

"Che…"

"Don't worry then. I'll introduce myself. Hello children… I'm Miranda Lotto." [A/N Miranda's not being creepy at all… *looks around nervously*] The Hogwarts student's introduced themselves. After that, there was an awkward silence. "Um… Would anyone like some candy?" She offered.

Naturally this caused Allen (both of them) to get excited. It would have been fine if the cloak didn't fall off. But it did and Miranda ended up seeing them. "Hi there…" both Allens gave an awkward wave while Miranda stared with an incredibly confused expression.

I decided to bring Kanda into the storyline. Originally I didn't actually want to because he's kind of a jerk and not necessarily my favourite character. Although, I occasionally like him, especially in the later chapters because he seems to get along with everyone a bit more and doesn't pick on Allen as much. But just because I decided to bring Kanda into the story doesn't mean it's going to be yaoi! NO YULLEN, AREKANDA OR WHATEVER ELSE IT'S CALLED! Also, in case you forgot what a RITAS is, it was explained in either chapter three or four. I'm not sure... Too lazy to go and check. I will be explaining a bit more in the next chapter and I will most likely be updating again soon seeing as I am almost done with this fanfiction.

Thank you so much for the favourites, followes and reviews :3
