They had been walking for alittle more than a half hour. Taking every twist and turn the swordsman did as he looked for a napping spot. Chopper was growing impatient, he was about to tell Zoro where they were was just fine.
"Here." Zoro smirked as he looked at large tree with roots that began above ground and weaved small nooks and ledges. Zoro made his was to a large, bowl-shaped root and layed his robe down to cushion their spot.
Robin and Chopper looked in awe at the spot Zoro found.
"It's beautiful!" Chopper exclaimed. As he pulled Robin to the spot Zoro made for them.
"I have to say Zoro, you really do have a gift for finding exquisite places to sleep." Robin said as she sat inside the large root. Chopper climbed into her lap ready to take begin his nap with his friends when he noticed Zoro on the ground.
"Zoro? Aren't you going to sit in here with us?" Chopper asked.
"Nah, I'm fine here. Besides It will get to crowded with in there." Zoro told him. Hoping his excuse was enough.
"I don't know Zoro, there's plenty of room in here for you too I'm sure. Won't you join us? I'd hate for you to find such a wonderful spot and not get to experience it." Robin reasoned. Before Zoro could retort Chopper added, "Yeah, besides, I like to sit your lap when you sing to me."
Zoro twitched as his body tensed from Chopper just blurting that out. Robin was also shocked to here what Chopper said.
"Sing?" Robin repeated to confirm that's what she heard. Zoro stood up a little embaressed and slightly angry.
"Chopper?!"
"Zoro... I'm sorry... It was a secret and I ruined it..." Chopper whispered in sadness. Zoro couldn't stay mad or even a little upset at the small doctors childish behavior.
"I'm sorry Zoro, I didn't know this was suppose to be a secret between you two, I can leave if you'd like?" Robin motioned to stand up as Zoro quickly but gently pushed her back down.
"It's no use now woman, Chopper wouldn't like it if I made you leave anyway." He sighed. She smiled at his kindness towards Chopper. She always admired how no matter how cruel and incaring he seemed, he took good care of Chopper. Protecting him and just watching over him on the ship. It was odd at first to see him as a fatherly type but she knew better.
Zoro carefully slid into the seat he made while trying his best to not to cause too much contact between him and the archeologist. Her shoulder rested on his as they sat side by side while Chopper crawled into Zoro's lap.
"Zoro?"
"Hm?"
"I'm afraid your arm is makinng this alittle uncomfortable, may I adhust it?" Robin asked.
"Uh, sure?" Zoro was a little hesitant but didn't mind her trying to get comfortable. She then took his arm and wrapped it around her waist resting his hand on her hip. She leaned her head on his shoulder to complete her postioning. She felt Zoro tense up from the contact. Worried she might of made him uncomfortable.
"Is this alright?" She asked. Slightly hoping she could stay like this in his arm.
"It's fine." Zoro replied, facing away to hide the severely reddened cheeks of his. She smiled to herself as she let more of her weight fall on him as she relaxed more.
"Zoro?" Chopper addressed him sleepily. Zoro eased his tense muscles as he looked down at the resting reindeer. Zoro took that as him asking for the song. He grunted in complience. He cleared his throat alittle. Robin was a little anxious to hear what was going to happen. She was about to turn to face him and see what was takinng him but she was broken out of her thoughts as small hum filled the air.
Zoro's deep humming made his chest give off comfortable waves from the sound that easily rocked Chopper to sleep. He continued to hum after Chopper had fallen asleep, much to the amusement of the archeologist. She loved this side of Zoro and loved his soothing voice. She hadn't actually planned on sleeping but being so cozy in his arm and the melodic lullaby coaxed her to sleep aswell. Zoro felt both of his crewmates relax and their breathing even out as he slowed his humming to a stop. Stroking Chopper's fur lightly as the tiny reindeer slept with a content smile on his face never ceased to please Zoro. Looking at the woman on his shoulder, he found her with beautiful smile resting on her perfect face. He couldn't help but take advantage of such a rare approtunity to see his nakama so personally. She was gorgeous. Her sapphire eyes, sharp nose that pointed to her soft lips that always seemed to tease him regardless of her expression, and the silk threads of her hair that never lost its incredible softness. He pressed a small kiss to her forehead without realizing he was leaning in. Hoping it would go unpunished, she only stayed sleeping but pressed more into him as she rested. He soaked up the contact hoping she actually wouldn't mind being this close to him. He quickly dozed off with that thought, a smile gracing his lips aswell.
