"Are you sure you can handle taking care of her?"
"Yes, Zoro. If you don't trust us with her, take her with you. You're only shopping." retorted the red head.
"Tch, I told you I don't want to risk being recognised while I'm with her. That's a burden she doesn't need." The swordsman bit back. He was really didn't want to leave her alone with Nami and Luffy, but he didn't want to risk any confrontation while he was with her. Her green hair alone would incriminate her for actually being his child and the government wouldn't hesitate to label her a criminal even as an infant.
"Then why don't you stay here with her and I'll go buy the baby's things. I'm pretty sure I'll be much more of a help doing that than you." The navigator reasoned.
"I need sword cleaning supplies along with picking out all of this baby stuff. If you want to do some shopping for her after I get back, be my guest, but I just want to get my stuff out of the way first." Zoro explained as he started to walk off the ship's deck.
"Fine," huffed the red head. "I'll be going through all of your purchases and returning anything that's not cute enough!"
"Tch, whatever Witch!" Zoro made his way to Robin's side who agreed to join him to under the guise of him almost certainly getting lost without her. She simply smiled at him, he deepened his scowl as he saw her teasing grin.
"Great, you too?" he huffed as he walked into town.
"I'm just amused by your outburst to try and get some alone time with me." She responded. He intertwined their fingers as she held is arm close while they walked. She helped direct him by simply nudging his shoulder or pulling the direction they needed to go. Both stayed quiet for the most part, nervous but content just being around each other.
"Robin?" Zoro finally breathed out. She turned a question gaze for him to continue. "Would-*clears throat*- would you like to get coffee with me?" He tried to face her but those oceanic orbs always choked him up if he was even the slightest bit nervous.
"Like a date?" She teased, watching his ears start to burn red as he struggled to meet her eyes again.
"Y-yeah, I mean, it doesn't have to be..." He barely choked out.
"Fufufufu, a date it is." She gave him a quick peck on the cheek while they searched for a cafe'.
"Nami! I'm bored!" Luffy complained. He was slumped upside down in Robin's lounge chair next to the navigator. She was trying to continue ignoring him as she watched over the giggling infant. "Namiiiiiii."
"Luffy," she began, sounding somewhat worried, "What are we going to do?"
"Eh? What do you mean?" Luffy somewhat perking up as he heard the concern in her tone.
"About her, she's still a baby. We can't possibly keep a child on board, can we?" Nami turned a questioning eye to her captain. He seemed to understand slightly but he didn't seem as conflicted as she assumed he should be.
"Zoro and Robin will take care of her, I trust them to do what's right." he told her. Still sounding alittle to at ease with the possibility of keeping an infant on board. "We had Momonosuke didn't we? Most of us didn't even like him and we protected him just fine. Zoro won't let anything happen to her."
She could only smile, finding the captain's confidence in his first mate contagious. She continued to play with the little girl in her arms who happily giggled from the attention.
"SUPER! OW! How's it going with the babysitting Nami-sis?" Franky shouted as he approached the deck.
"Good, she's asleep in Robin's room right now. That crib of yours is fantastic." She complimented.
"Aww thanks Nami-sis, I had to make it extra special for the little Roronoa, plus Robin-sis can be real scary when she asks for things." The cyborg shuddered at the cool demeanor the archeologist can hold while hinting at anything sinister.
"She can be pretty persuasive in her own way." The navigator chuckled.
"Ah, Nami-san, perhaps I may be able to persuade you to, show me your panties?" Brook almost sang out.
"LIKE HELL!" Franky dragged the unconcious skeleton below deck along with the days purchases of building supplies.
"Nami-swan! Robin-chwan! Your prince charming has returned!" Sanji called out as he ran to the ship. Leaving behind a very tired Usopp and Chopper to drag the cart of food.
"Hey, hey! Sanji! Help us with the cart!" "Yeah Sanji! Help with the cart!" they yelled.
"CHOPPER! You're not even helping! Stop sitting on the cart and help pull!" Usopp yelled. Chopper had returned to brain point and sat on some boxes while he fanned himself off.
"Can't, pull, too, hot. Might, overheat." Chopper panted. Falling onto his back from exhaustion. Usopp struggled to pull the cart up the ramp to the deck. Falling forward as he tried to catch his breath.
"Nami-swan? Where's Robin and Marimo?" Sanji inquired as he exited from the insides of the ship.
"They're not back yet." She calmly replied. Sanji gritted his teeth as he imagined the green haired shitty swordsman spending alone time with his precious Robin-chwan. He mumbled quiet insults at the swordsman as he started to haul the food he, Usopp and Chopper bought.
It was almost sunset as the crew hung around deck, still waiting for the return of their two nakama.
"Damn Marimo, Robin-chwan is probably worried sick about me, being away for so long. I knew she shouldn't have been the one to babysit that shithead." Sanji grumbled to himself. He'd been complaining for the past hour. Nami forbid him from running around town to search for them. He was too worked up to search discreetly and keep prying eyes away from them. He never argued with Nami so he just stayed and complained. He trusted Robin to come back safely, with or without that moss haired idiot.
Chopper was sitting in the grass playing with the little infant girl on the grassy deck. Both giggling happily as he tickled her and she squirmed around joyfully. Suddenly she stopped responding to Choppers light pokes as she started to crawl to towards the ships edge. He quickly scooped her up, barely holding her off the ground, as he was still in brain point. She cooed happy gurgles as Chopper noticed his two nakama walking to the ship.
"Everyone! They're back!" Chopper called out as he sat back down in the grass holding the baby back from crawling away again.
"ROBIN-CHWAN!" Sanji gleefully shouted as he danced around deck waiting for them to arrive.
"I wonder what took them so long." the navigator thought outloud.
