"I'll have just a regulat coffee, two scoops of sugar and no cream please."
"Alright, and for you sir?"
Zoro stared blankly at the menu, he never liked coffee. If he ever did have it, he spiked it with rum, actually, he more or less had rum with a shot of coffee. He hated coffee.
"I uhh, is there any rum or sake here?" He finally asked. Cofused by all the strangely nameddrinks that seemed to be coffee with different types of cream mixed in.
"I'm afraid not, only coffe, juice and milk." The waiter replied. Zoro sighed in disappointment.
"I'll just have milk then." Zoro figured he'd atleast try and keep his body healthy.
"I'll have your drinks right away." The waiter replied as he left the couple with their order. Robin was alittle worried he'd be distant at the cafe since he couldn't find a drink he liked to help him feel comfortable. She was thankfully wrong however. Once the waiter left, Zoro returned to stare into Robin's eyes. He slowly started to smile as he unknowningly reached across the table to grasp her hand. Robin was a little startled from the contact, as she didn't even notice he was moving she was so lost in thought as she stared back into his eye. She shyly averted her gaze as she started to blush.
"This is nice." She said hoping to keep her out of her own thoughts.
"Yeah, it is." Zoro replied. Still just studying her every move with intrest. "I never really got the chance to look at you like this." He said. Earning yet another blush from the archeologist. "The red cheeks suit you." He lightly teased, giving her hand a light squeeze. She giggled from his uncharacteristic compliment.
"Not as much as they suit you, my Kenshi-san." She whispered the last part a little seductively. Quickly causing the swordsman to turn bright red. He loved being called her 'Kenshi-san' and the sexy tone she used just now only heightened that effect.
"Such an adorable shade of pink on such a handsome scowling face." She examined. Placing her hand on his cheek stroking the red tinged skin causing him to turn a brighter tone of red.
"Tch, still a teasing woman even when we're together."
"Isn't that what you like about me?" She coyly smiled.
"I like everything about you. Don't you ever change." He complimented. Pulling her hand in as he pressed a kiss on top.
"Who knew our hardened, emotionless could be such a sap." She laughed out.
"Hey, I just don't like to express feelings that often. Besides, I don't need them getting in the way of the crew. If I did that, I'd already thrown that money-hungry witch overboard or cut up the love sick crap cook. I need to stay composed for the crew." He argued.
"Fufufufu, what about my teasings? Before you had feelings for me? What did you want to do then?" She asked.
"I'd have cut you up before throwing you overboard." He answered nervously. Alittle worried that his honesty would disturb their current relationship.
"Fufufufu, I'd expect such an extreme but uncreative plan from you." She easily responded. "Don't worry Zoro-kun, I'm actually quite pleased you seem to be giving me 100% honest answers. I didn't expect that much."
"I'm glad because I don't plan on lying to you, I don't want any secrets between us. I'm an open book for Nico Robin and Nico Robin alone." He smirked, proud of his book related metaphor. She simply giggled at his rather simple, but very cute, statement.
"Well then, perhaps I should start asking the hard questions already?" She challenged. Testing to see if he would indeed tell her anything she asked.
"Perhaps you should." He grinned back, accepting her challenge. She seemed to ponder a bit before seemingly settling on her first question.
"The white katana, why is that one so special?"
"It belonged to a dear friend before she passed away. I asked her father and my sensei if I could have her sword to achieve our dream in her absense." He explained.
"Did you love her?" Robin hastily asked giving away alittle bit of her concern.
"She was my rival, she was the only person to look down on me that seemed to actually bother me. I cared for her, I looked up to her, but I didn't love her." He smiled as she seemed to be put to ease. The waiter brought their drinks to the table, effectively ending the small staring contest that ensued. They enjoyed their drinks for the short time they had left before they needed to get the supplies they needed.
"Is that really all you need?" The archeologist asked as Zoro walked out with a small bag of sword cleaner.
"I spent the little the witch gave me at the cafe earlier, this will be enough for now." He replied. Walking with her to find a store for baby necessities.
"I could have helped pay for the rest Zoro. Nami gave me more than enough for the shopping we have left.
"Ah woman, let me try and spoil you. It's hard enough for me to feel adequate enough for you. I can't let you pay for everything too."
"Then consider it a gift for taking me to the cafe."
"Stop being stubborn, woman." He teased, leaning in and giving her a peck on the cheek. She turned and met his lips for small kiss before continuing onward to the nearest clothing store.
"Zoro-kun, I like this one, I think we'll also get this one." Robin told him as she added it to the pile of already picked out babywear. They had been shopping for a few hours already and had already been to several other stores.
"Robin, I think we already have enough in this pile, let alone the other bags I'm carrying." He reasoned.
"Just a few more minutes Zoro-kun, I'm just making sure to make use of all the money Nami-san gave us." She reasoned back. Eyeing through yet another rack of onesies and small dresses. Zoro grunted in reponse. He stood there watching as his girlfriend continued to search for more clothes. Zoro glanced through the rows of clothes that they had already been through. Wondering how there was any left after Robin had nearly grabbed every dress she saw. Then his eye caught a glimpse of something over in the women's section of the store. Checking to make sure Robin was still facing away from him, he headed over to the piece of clothing that caught his eye.
He spotted a pastel lavender dress, so simple compared to the rest around it, but it's simple elegance standing out more to him the anything else in the store. With no design or frilly lacing to distract from the wearer's natural beauty the light, slightly stretchy material seemed to flow through his fingers with an undescribeable softness. He could help but imagine Robin wearing this dress. Summoning up the courage he gently carried it over to Robin.
"Here, I'd like you to try this on." He nervously demanded. Trying his best to look stern as he slightly started to sweat. She seemed shocked at his request but obliged and took the dress to the fitting room.
Zoro waited patiently, grinding his teeth and clenching his fists in anticipation. As the dressing room door opened, his mouth went dry and he suddenly found it hard to breathe. Robin's natural curves were lightly hugged thanks to the material. While light tone of purple made her slightly tanned skin standout ever so slightly more. Once she was done checking her self over pleased with the fit and the look she placed her attention on Zoro who seemed to be frozen time. Once her eyes met his, he nearly fell to his knees. In an attempt to keep his balance he started to walk towards her never once breaking eye contact. She felt indifferent about his gaze as he seemed to be conflicted about something. Finally within arms reach, he tucked a few strands of hair that obstructed her face from his behind her ear. Gently pulling her from the waist he brought his lips to her's. Pressing more into this kiss than any previous kiss the shared. Worried he might be smothering Robin until she pushed back with the same passion. He let his emotions flow through this kiss relieved to feel her throwing her emotions right back. As they broke the kiss they stayed held together resting on each other's forehead.
"Nico Robin, I'm in love with you." He finally breathed out, letting his shoulders fall slightly, relieved to have finally said what he was dying to tell her.
"Roronoa Zoro, I am in love with you." She repeated back. He gave her a few quick kisses trailing from her lips to her neck and back to her lips.
"I'd like to raise- that child- to be our child- if you'd have me." Zoro said quietly between the kisses they still shared.
"I'd- love to- my- Kenshi-san." Robin gasped out. They finally stopped the passionate kissing remembering where they were. Luckily, no one was around to witness the event. Robin turned around to change back into her clothes from earlier only to be stopped as Zoro held her.
"Keep it on, I'd like to you wear that when we tell the crew." He told her with a smirk. She smiled, giving him a quick peck on his proud grin before collecting her outfit.
Paying for the pile of baby clothes and the dress they made their way back to the ship. Content and excited smiles gracing both of their faces.
