It only took Obito a few minutes to find her, but by that time Hizashi was long gone. Hisa watched him calmly as he made his way towards her. It was quite a bizarre situation, Hisa thought. Both of them acting completely nonchalant despite the fact that their enemy was quite dangerous. But if Obito was going to treat this like a walk in the park, then so was she.
She drew her sword and held it out in front of her. Slowly, she began to circle Obito. He simply smiled.
"Do you actually think you can beat me without the Mangekyo? Honestly, I don't see why you're so against getting it. Is it because of me? Because I have to say, that's quite immature."
"It's because it makes you go blind you moron." Hisa snapped. "I'm happy with my eyes the way they are, and I don't exactly know a whole lot of people who will donate a Mangekyo Sharingan to me so that I can make mine eternal. Find someone who'll give me theirs, and then the next time you kill someone I love, I'll think about getting it, ok?"
"What about Sasuke Uchiha?" Obito said "Nawaki's going to kill him anyway, so once you get the Mangekyo you can take his."
Hisa blinked once. Then she laughed.
"Sorry, you think Nawaki can beat Sasuke? You might have given him some training, but Sasuke will eat him alive."
"Tell me, if you defected from the village and your father was forced to fight you, would he kill you in an instant?"
Hisa's blood ran cold as she remembered chopping off Naruto's head. She could almost feel her sword biting into his neck. She quickly shook her head, glaring at Obito.
"That's different. I'm close with my dad, while Sasuke barely knows Nawaki. Killing the twerp won't be a problem for him."
Obito didn't reply. He just gave Hisa a smirk. She started circling him a slight bit faster.
"How about this?" Obito asked, completely ignoring the fact that she was trying to fight him. "If you kill someone you love, I'll stop attacking the village and leave."
"Never going to happen." Hisa said automatically "Besides, I don't want you to leave. I want you to die."
She stopped circling him, coming to a stop directly to his left. She moved her sword to the right, ready to attack. There was no point wasting her chakra straight off when he could dodge every single attack with Kamui. If she constantly attacked him with her sword, he would have to run out at some point. At least, that was the plan.
Obito's eyes narrowed, and he began to circle her instead. She kept calm, breathing in and out, waiting for the attack. She tightened her grip on her sword, using both hands to hold it steady. Obito paused, staring at her contemplatively.
"So you want a kenjutsu battle first." he said "Fair warning: you will lose."
Hisa remained silent, causing Obito to smirk.
"So be it."
He charged at her, and at first she thought he was attacking with his bare hand. At the very last second, a kunai appeared in his hand and slammed into her sword. She pushed, but his free hand reached down and grabbed at her stomach. She knew that move, it was the Preta Path technique that Hisa herself had made: sucking your enemy's chakra out of his own body. She flinched backwards to escape his hand, and he used that split second distraction to push her sword to the side. She flipped backwards before he could strike again.
He followed her, flipping his kunai and stabbing it at her stomach. She used her sword to block. Obito pushed the kunai down on the sword, using its momentum to push himself upwards and kick her in the stomach. She ducked down, winded, but didn't allow herself to be pushed backwards. Instead, she moved towards him, going under his arm and swinging at him. He couldn't block, but the sword simply passed through him. She cursed. It was hard to fight someone who didn't hurt when you hit him. Like most people, she had built her kenjutsu style around the idea that if you stabbed someone with your sword, it would actually cut them. It was hard to adjust when fighting against Obito.
With her sword still in his body, she brought it upwards, trying to hit his right eye. He grabbed her arm before it could happen, spinning her around and hitting her with the hilt of her own sword. While she was distracted, he kicked her in the face. She stumbled backwards, before regaining her balance and charging again.
She swung her sword, and Obito let her pass through his body. Once she was behind him, he spun around and kicked off from the ground, using the nearby boulders to stay above her while throwing kunai that she blocked. Hisa waited until he landed on a large flat boulder before kicking off the ground and joining him. She swung at him and he literally cartwheeled through her. She gritted her teeth. He was toying with her, not taking this fight seriously at all.
She slid along the boulder, kicking up the dust and dirt as she went. He still managed to see and counter her thrust, but she noticed that he didn't let her sword hit him until the dust had cleared slightly. Apparently, he still had some battle instincts. They clashed a few more times, and Hisa managed to push him to the end of the boulder. Just before he ran out of space, Obito swung off the boulder, swinging his sword at her legs. Hisa narrowly avoided having her legs sliced off by flipping into the air to dodge, although he managed to cut her shin. She slashed at Obito while upside down, and parried his blow when she landed. He swung again, harder this time. Her sword had the advantage of being longer than his kunai, and although his blow was strong, she was able to push it away with her blade. Obito flipped backwards a few times before she could strike again. They both knew that Hisa was aiming for his sharingan, although she didn't know what would happen if she managed to hit it.
They paused for a few seconds to evaluate the damage. Hisa was breathing heavily and blood was trickling down her leg, but she was just as determined as she had been at the start. Obito was unruffled. The only sign that he had been fighting was the slight heaviness to his breathing.
He smirked at her, and Hisa scowled back, until she noticed something that made her grin widely. There was a small cut along Obito's cheek, next to his Rinnegan eye. He noticed it too, and his smirk was replaced by a frown. Then he smiled widely.
"I think this match is over." he said calmly. "From now on attack me with everything you have, otherwise I'll kill you."
Hisa snarled, and a pulse of energy shot out of her, crumbling a nearby boulder. Her brother's death had affected her, even if she didn't want to show it to Obito. But when he was so breezy and mocking about this fight, it pushed all her buttons.
With a cry, she leapt at him, her hand reaching out towards his sharingan. She had hoped Obito would let it pass through him, but he noticed the small orbs of chakra in her hands. She had minimised her new jutsu, the mixture of push and pull, in the hopes that he wouldn't notice. If her hand touched him, transparent or not, the force of the push would injure him. Instead, he dodged, letting her fly past him. She swivelled on her heel and swung her hand again. He blocked her forearm before her hand could touch his face. She swung punch after punch, but he was too damn fast. The chakra orbs in her hands began to fade, and although he didn't try to become intangible, he started blocking her fists.
To her surprise, he jumped backwards. When she tried to follow him, he jumped onto another boulder. She started to chase him. Was he really running away? They moved around the clearing for a few minutes, until Obito finally came to a halt in front of a wall-like boulder. Hisa grinned, adding more power into her jump as she aimed her body towards him.
Gotcha.
Just as she shot forward, Obito kicked off a rock and spun in midair, and suddenly he coming towards her. Her eyes widened, but before she could react in any other way, he punched her in the head.
She flew backwards, but stuck her hands out behind her. Just before she crashed into a boulder she let out a yell.
"Almighty Push!"
Instead of crashing into the boulder or flying forwards, Hisa angled her push so that she would shoot upwards. She pushed the chakra down to her feet, and let the push keep her floating in the air. She had to say, being in a life or death situation really helped your concentration when you were learning to fly.
Suddenly, she felt a presence behind her. She turned just as Obito swung at her. She quickly blocked his next few blows, but she couldn't quite mask the surprise on her face. He smirked, continuing to attack her with rapid punches.
"Did you really think that I never learnt this as well? My Rinnegan was once Nagato Uzumaki's. It was quite easy to pick up his techniques."
He slammed his foot into Hisa's stomach, making her crouch over, winded. He frowned at her.
"You still aren't giving it your all, are you? I've been keeping tabs on you Hisa Uzumaki, I know you can do better."
His hand clamped down on her head, and suddenly she was being pushed towards the ground. She quickly flipped in the air, landing on her feet. Obito stood on a boulder above her, still wearing that insufferable smirk.
"Done already?"
"You want to see my strength?" she growled "Fine then, Almighty Push!"
The boulder he was standing on was smashed into pieces, and she felt a small glint of triumph when she noticed Obito's surprise. He still managed to jump away, but she knew now that he wasn't as fast as he thought. On that note…
She flung one of her special kunai and teleported up next to him. He tried to grab her hand, but she flung another kunai, teleporting behind him. By the time he turned around, she had another orb of push and pull in her hand. She slammed it into his face before he could react, sending him flying through the air.
As she landed back on the ground, she paused for a minute to catch her breath. Unfortunately, three missiles came flying towards her. She dodged the explosions, and turned to where they came from. Obito's cloak was torn, but he didn't seem to be shaken at all. His left hand came up in the form of a canon, and three more blasts of chakra were fired at Hisa.
"You know," she commented as she dodged "I really like this training ground. You should try harder to keep it intact."
"Are you going to keep dodging forever, Uzumaki?" Obito asked as he fired some more. "Do you think that you can win by doing that?"
He jumped into the air, his cannon morphing into a razor sharp blade. He swung it at her, and his eyes widened when she rolled her eyes.
"Fine. I'll stop dodging."
She swung her own sword down, her chakra running up and down the blade. It clashed into his and Obito was forced back. She pushed harder and increased the chakra in her sword, until the chakra itself pushed Obito's blade off hers, sending him skidding a few metres backwards. She followed him, swinging at his hand again. Unable to make the hand intangible, he was forced to block, which sent him back another few metres. The third time he managed to let her blade pass through, but he was caught unaware when she placed his hand over his eye again.
"Almighty Push."
With a small grunt he flew backwards. She came at him again, but this time her sword passed through his body. He grinned and threw his kunai straight at her face.
She disappeared.
He barely had time to curse before she shot out of the ground, her sword clashing into his blade. He was curious (not panicked, never panicked). Did she have teleportation kunai full of chakra buried around the place, or had she used an Earth Style jutsu? He didn't have time to think about it, as the force of the two blades caused a minor explosion. Both of them jumped backwards.
Suddenly, from far away, Hisa heard a faint cry, and the sound of an explosion. If she squinted, she could see a small pillar of smoke coming from the direction of the village. That brought her down from the high of her fight. She didn't have time to play around with swords and special kunai. She needed to destroy Obito as quickly as possible, plain and simple.
Even if the process exhausted her to the point of death.
She stuck her hands above her head and concentrated. She could sense Obito staring at her with interest.
"What are you-"
"Shut up and watch." she ordered "You keep blathering on about my full power and all those movie villain clichés. Now I'll show it to you, so just stand there and die."
Obito looked at her in amusement, but made no move to attack her. Hisa frowned. Was he really that insane?
"I'm waiting." Obito informed her.
"Almost ready." she shot back. "Wait a second… there we go."
Obito looked around but nothing happened. Grinning, Hisa pointed into the sky. He looked up.
A giant ball of earth was slowly starting to blot out the sun. Obito stared up at it as if it was a fascinating movie, not real life at all.
"Planetary Devastation" he murmured "Quite a good one at that. Nowhere near as big as Madara Uchiha's, but then again, he was almost god-like."
"It's a little more than just a normal Planetary Devastation." Hisa said, unable to fully keep the smirk out of her voice. "Every single clump of earth there is filled with either my orb of push and pull, or exploding tags. That means that every piece of dirt that touches the ground will explode, until there's no more dirt left. How long can your Kamui last against that?"
She noticed the shock on his face and grinned wider.
"When you get to hell, say hi to Madara for me. Tell him that his photo in the Academy history book makes him look like a porcupine."
With that said, she allowed the giant ball to drop, using her last ounces of chakra to teleport away.
She collapsed on top of a high boulder, but kept her eyes open. She was out of the ball's initial area, but the explosions could hit her if she wasn't careful.
The ground shook as the explosions started. Hisa had to admit, it was better than a fireworks show. Who knew that Deva Path chakra mixed with exploding tags could be so colourful? She grinned slightly at that, too tired to laugh.
It seemed like eternity, but eventually the explosions stopped. Hisa lifted her head up to view her handiwork. Not a single boulder remained within a five mile radius. The ground was nothing but charred, smoking earth. She breathed out a sigh of relief. He was dead. Now she could let her eyes close, and wait for someone to get here-
She felt the cold touch of steel on her neck, and she let out a small cry. How could he still be alive? Was he that powerful?
"You cost me my sharingan, girl." he said, a snarl in his voice. "For that, I will pin you down and torture you until someone shows up to rescue you. I will kill them right in front of your eyes, and we will repeat this over and over again until you get the Mangekyo Sharingan!"
She rolled over onto her back, and started up into the livid face of Obito Uchiha. His right eye was gone, but the socket was glowing red. To Hisa, he had never looked eviler.
She felt small tugs from her clothes all over her body, and was unsurprised to find kunai pinning her down. She doubted he even needed them. In her current condition, she would barely be able to crawl, never mind stand and fight.
"Let's begin, shall we?" Obito said, reaching towards her face with a kunai. Hisa closed her eyes. She wanted to be strong, but she was too tired. If he hurt her, she knew she would scream.
Just as the kunai brushed her cheek, she heard footsteps rapidly approaching.
"Get away from her!"
At any other time, that voice would have made her happy, even excited. But now, all she felt was a sinking horror in her stomach.
"Kawa."
A/N: I still haven't come up with a name for Hisa's jutsu. If anyone has an idea, please leave a review!
