A/N – Sorry for the delay. As I am saying on my other stories, updates will be slow for a while (Not that they haven't already.) I hope this chapter was worth the wait. Trying to make up for lost time. Enjoy.
"So it's settled then. Your parents can stay and watch Henry. Regina can come with us and have the time of her life." I was going to kill Belle. Slowly and painfully. But not tonight. Tonight I figured I could at least try to enjoy myself. So I gave in and looked at Regina in the most apologetic way I could find. But something tells me, she was going to have as much fun tonight as I was.

Regina did end up coming along. Mum and Dad stayed at my place to look after Henry. He was alright with it. He was just happy not to be staying with Belle again. Ruby drove us to the night club. Belle sat up in front with Ruby. Regina and I sat in the back. It was silent to begin with. The atmosphere was so tense, no one wanted to say anything. I kept glancing over at Regina. She was staring out the window. She seemed unsure of herself. Which seemed so strange to see. She was always so sure of herself. So confident. But now, she was in a more social environment, and she was like a turtle crawling into its shell. I reached over and gave her arm a gentle nudge to get her attention. She turned to face me, and I could almost see the fear in her eyes.
"What's up?" Anything to get her talking.
"Nothing."
"Regina, you know you can't lie to me. What's on your mind?" She took a deep breath and turned to look back out the window before turning back to me.
"This whole…situation isn't helping our…situation." It took me a second to get what she was saying but I got there in the end.
"Okay. So what do you want to do? Go back home? You really don't have to come."
"Actually Emma, she does." I forgot we weren't alone in here. Ruby always did have big ears.
"Do you mind? Some of us don't like having our convocations tapped by people around us."
"So sorry darling. Please continue. I am sure I can find some way of occupying myself." She looked over at Belle and I couldn't help the shiver of disgust from running through my body. I looked over to Regina once more and saw her trying desperately not to laugh at me.
"Oh shut up." And that did get her to laugh. It was nice seeing her laughing. She had a geeky laugh, but it just made her all the more adorable. "There's that smile I like so much." She stopped laughing, but the smile stayed put.
"Seriously Emma. You wanted to wait. And I want to respect that. But you and your…delightful friends…"
"Can't block everything out you know." Belle yelled.
"I was hoping you weren't." Regina bit back. She had a snippy comment for literally anything. She directed herself back to me. "None of you are making it easy for me." I took her words to heart and thought it over in my head for a moment. Then something clicked. A small idea that she would hopefully love. But I couldn't do it here. Not now with Belle and Ruby sitting right in front of us. I took her hands in mine and looked right into her eyes.
"Just wait a little longer. Trust me." She smiled. I knew she thought that I meant she needed to wait till after the event. But even I am not that cruel to a person.

We had been at the club for about an hour now, and Belle and Ruby were well and truly out of it. They had been making out for the past ten minutes. As cringey as it was to watch, it also had my mind racing. Not about them. About what they were doing, and how much I wanted to be doing it with Regina. She had been so patient already and now I was practically torturing the poor girl. As the night went on though, she seemed to relax bit by bit. She hadn't had much alcohol and neither had eye. I didn't want to forget anything or lose control of myself.
"Are you two ever going to come up for air?" And there was Regina's sass. Ruby and Belle broke apart to look at Regina. Belle leaned over the table and lowered her voice slightly so only Regina and I could hear her.
"Why don't you two go and loosen up on the dance floor. Ruby and I aren't quite done yet." I never really took Belle as an evil type. Guess she had a bit of an alter-ego. I looked over at Regina and could see she was certainly thinking about what Belle had said. I thought I should give her a nudge in the right direction.
"Come Regina it would be fun." Or I could grab her by the wrist and drag her over whether she liked it or not. For a moment she looked at me like I was insane. But she finally gave in and put her drink down on the table. I pulled her over to the dance floor and the song was just ending. The next song that came up instantly made Regina's cheeks go read. It wasn't the easiest thing to see considering the light and her skin tone, but it was obvious from the way she acted. "What's wrong?" I started yelling. The song was a bit loud.
"I know this song."
"Okay, I am clearly missing something here. Care to fill in the blanks?" She lowered her hands to the side and started moving with the music.
"Just wait until the chorus. You'll understand the embarrassment." I let it go, as the music played on I was listening to the lyrics and it was strange. The more I listened the more I looked at Regina, and my mind just kept wandering to all the wrong places. And then came the chorus.
It's just your typical, hardcore, casual sex
We're single but we're lovers, crazy for each other
Just your typical, hardcore, casual sex
We're wild under the covers, crazy for each other!
"Casual sex!" I couldn't help but screaming it. The fact that this was a song that Regina knew was intriguing to say the least.
"I always thought it had a good base to it. What can I say? My clubbing days gave me a weird taste in music." I shuffled a bit closer over to Regina who was still dancing in sync with the music. I place my hands on her hips and turned her around so her back was to my front, and pulled her in close to me. "Emma…" Even through the music I could hear how shaky her voice was.
"Relax. I know what I'm doing. I've had less to drink than you." My head was between her shoulder and neck. I could feel the shiver through her body that my breath had caused. Even though the lyrics didn't exactly portray what I felt for Regina, it gave me the perfect opportunity to put my plan into action. But it was going to take a little work. She placed her hands on mine, and I started moving against her. Pressing myself into her as much as I could. The more I moved the less tense Regina became, and she started moving with me. Pushing back into me as I moved into her.
"Emma I…I need…Oh god." She couldn't even get her words out. This might take less time than I thought. She let go of my hands and leant her head back on my shoulder, giving me perfect access to her gorgeous neck. It looked so smooth and delicate, but I couldn't just yet. Her hands came up around my head and she wrapped her finger in between my hair. I wished the song would never end and we could stay forever in this state of being together. It was sweet but so steamy at the same time. But the song wasn't nearly as long as I hoped. The final chord played out and Regina pulled herself away from me. She looked me in the eye and straightened out her shirt. Smoothing her hands down her pants…like that was helping me control myself. Thank you so much Regina.
"Looks like Belle and Ruby are still going at it. Do you want a drink? We can go stand outside, get some fresh air?" She still looked quite flustered, but I felt as cool as a cucumber. She brushed her hair out her face and looked to the floor.
"Yes. That sounds like a good idea."
"Why don't you go wait outside? I'll bring the drinks out. What would you like?"
"An apple cider will be fine thank you."
"Okay. I'll see you outside in a minute party girl." Before she even got the chance to complain about the name I was heading for the counter. I leaned over the bar and asked the bar tender, "Got anything stronger than an apple cider?"
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I joined Regina outside and handed her, her drink.
"Warning, that may have a bit more of a kick than a simple apple cider." She looked at me for a second but she just smiled. She took a sip of it and turned back to look at the ground. "Regina I am sorry about the dance floor. I sort of got carried away, and I just…"
"Emma its fine. You don't have to explain yourself. I was the one that was…" I didn't want to listen to this. I know Regina has been the one that has been holding herself back for so long now. But I don't have nearly as much patience as she does.
"Regina, I know I was the one to ask you to wait, and you have been so good at doing exactly that for me. And I can't even begin to imagine how hard this all must have been for you. But if I have to wait one more second to feel your lips again I think I might actually explode." I could see the tears beginning to fill her eyes, and it hurt knowing why they were there. She was trying to do what I asked her in the first place, and now I was asking her to break that promise she made to me. "Regina," I took a step closer to her and took her free hand in mine. "I asked if you would wait for me until after the event."
"So why are you doing this to me?" She squeezed my hand tighter, like she was trying to make sure this was reality.
"Because I don't want to be the one doing this to us anymore. Listen…the event is in just under a week. Is there any chance that we could just move up the deadline on this promise?" I could see she was about to shake her head then a compromise came to me. "Or maybe we could start things off, just take them slow until the event is over? How does that sound?" She was thinking it over for a minute, I saw a smile finally grace her lips once more. I was never going to get tired of seeing that toothy grin. It always made my heart flutter.
"I think I can do that." We stayed staring at each other for a moment before I leaned down to claim Regina's lips for my once again. Each time I kiss her I find myself feeling something new. Some new and warm feeling in the pit of my stomach or in the centre of my heart. But each feeling made me happier than the last. I pulled back slightly but was still close enough to feel the edge of her lips on mine. "I don't think that's how people start things off slowly." I couldn't help smiling because I knew she was right.
"I don't here you complaining. Just pointing out the obvious." She leaned back in and took my lips for hers now. We stood there kissing for a while. It felt passionate, but gentle. Kind and warm. And I never wanted it to end.
"Now who's the ones that need to get a room?" We looked over my shoulder to see Belle and Ruby standing in the doorway to the club holding each other in their arms.
"How long have you guys been spying on us?"
"Long enough to know that the event needs to get here sooner rather than later or the sexual tension between you guys might rip the town apart."
"Ruby seriously!" I was yelling at her now. I knew discretion was not Ruby's strong suit but there was still some sort of a boundary. Regina leant her head against my shoulder trying desperately to hide her face. "Now look what you did." Belle and Ruby made their way over to us and Belle was probably the least drunk of the two, which doesn't surprise me.
"Okay well, we are going to head back to Ruby's place. The bar tender cut us off and if we try going somewhere else we might actually run out of money."
"Okay no worries." Regina finally pulled herself back from my shoulder, drink still in hand. "Do you want to leave or stay here for a bit longer?" Regina looked over my shoulder again to Belle and Ruby.
"I think we should stay here a bit longer. You have no idea what I am capable of once I've had a few drinks." She whispered the last part in my ear so Belle and Ruby couldn't hear.
Say, you give the girl permission to do something with you and it is like your letting the horses set off at the races. You have got no chance of stopping them.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
We stayed whilst Belle and Ruby left. The club was still quite busy, and Regina was busy getting the drinks down. I was having a few drinks too but I sort of needed to stay slightly sober if I was going to control either one of us.
"Emma, would you care to dance?" Regina had been up and down on the dance floor for ages now. She would dance to every other song, and ask me to join her each time.
"Sorry Regina, I think I will sit this dance out. But don't worry, I'll be watching from here." Regina gave me an evil little smirk and I wondered if I maybe shouldn't have said that. She made her way over to the dance for yet again, and as she walked I couldn't help but notice the extra little sway in her hips. Something tells me I was in for a good show. The next song came on and it just assured my suspicions. Timber. This was going to be good.
Regina started by moving her body a little. Trying to find the beat of the music. She found someone to dance with her. Another girl. And a good looking one at that. She was tall, dark and extremely good looking. Regina grabbed the girl by the hips and pulled her in close. The beat changed a bit and they started circling their hips together. Their bodies were so close together, it looked so sexy. The smirk on Regina's face told me she knew exactly what she was doing. The two had their legs slid between each other. They were grinding and rolling into each other. I could feel a pool of dampness growing in my underwear. No girl had ever managed to do that to me, and just by dancing with someone.
The beat changed again and Regina flipped the girl so her back was to Regina's front. It looked odd at first ass Regina was the smaller one of the two, but when Regina was pushing the girl to bend forward and was grabbing her by the hips still, it sent ideas through my mind that I was dying to do. I knew the song was coming to its end, and thank god I wasn't sure how much more of this I could take. Just before the end of the song, Regina pulled the girl back to her, face to face, and got so close it looked like she was kissing the girls neck. A small sense of jealousy came through me, and I realised I needed to have Regina for myself soon. Huh, maybe Belle was right. My mind always goes to sex.
Regina finally back over to the table and sat down next to me. She was slightly out of breath, but the evil smirk hadn't left her face.
"That was just cruel."
"Why do you think I did it?" The fact that she actually had a reason hadn't crossed my mind. I thought she was just teasing me. "Darling I had three very good reasons to do that. One: It teaches you to not say no to me. Two: It means I could show you what you were missing by staying here. And three: I thought you might enjoy the show."
"You have no idea." I leaned over to kiss her once more. But she pulled back at the last second.
"I don't think that is such a good idea. If you kiss me right now I don't think I will be able to stop."
"Don't worry about it. I can stop. I haven't had as much to drink as you."
"It isn't you I am worried about."
"Just relax. I finally get to kiss you, I am not going to miss the opportunity to do it. I don't know when I will get to do it again." She finally stopped arguing and let me kiss her. I could taste the alcohol on her lips, and as much as I wanted to know how she tasted inside, even I knew I would be moving too quick. So when I felt Regina's tongue glide against my lips, it was time to stop.
"Sorry." She brushed her hair out of her face and looked down at her lap.
"Don't be." She looked back to me and smiled. I wished she could smile every moment I saw her. But even I know wishes like that don't some true though. "Maybe we should start heading back now."
"That sounds like a good idea. But I should probably go back to my own place. If I go to yours…"
"I get it. Come on. Let's go grab a taxi. I'll help you back to your place and then go back to mine when I know you're alright."
"Thank you."
