"Why didn't he tell me?" Allison sighed, breaking the silence in the car.

"He couldn't let that be the last memory you had of your mother." Scarlett answered truthfully. "What kind of a person would that make him?" Allison didn't say anything for a while so Scarlett spoke again. "We need to do something. I mean, it's my fault that Boyd and that girl are loose. I'm the one who broke the seal."

"If you hadn't Scott would be dead." Allison assured her. "But I agree, we can't let innocent people get hurt. We have to help them."

"So what do we do?" Scarlett asked, looking out of the window of the parked car at the glaring full moon that would bring death and destruction if Boyd and the girl weren't caught…or, worse case scenario, killed.

Allison reached into the glove compartment and pulled out an arrow head. "What we do best." With that Allison started the car and drove way past the speed limit to her apartment.

When they got there, they changed out of their school clothes and changed into more appropriate outfits which consisted of running leggings, combat boots and cargo jackets. When they were changed they went into Allison's father's office and opened the closet to reveal a whole range of weapons and hunting gear.

"Here," Scarlett said, grabbing two bow and arrows that they had been using in France and handing one to Allison.

"Thanks, take these." Allison told her, exchanging two throwing daggers for the crossbow. Scarlett slung the crossbow over her back and shoved the daggers into her boots, pulling on a leather glove she had for using the bow and arrow.

When they were finished kitting themselves out with weapons and tools they would need to get Boyd and the girl to where they wanted them to go, they headed for the car and drove to the preserve where Scott had said they were tracking the two werewolves. Scott had also said that they should stay out of it but that wasn't the two girls' plan.

As they got out the car, Allison spoke up, fixing her bow around her body and adjusting her bag of arrows. "Just remember that my father and I aren't supposed to be a part of this anymore, which means you shouldn't be either. So we stay hidden and nobody finds out about this."

"Gotcha." Scarlett agreed, shutting the car door and following Allison into the woods.

They stayed silent in the woods, looking for the werewolves tracks. "There." Scarlett pointed out, motioning towards to sets of footprints in the mud. Allison squatted beside them, analysing which way they were headed.

"They went this way." The girls took off in the direction the footprints led them. When they knew they were close enough to the out of control werewolves, Allison took out a dagger and pricked her hand, letting a few drops of blood fall onto the leaves, knowing that the scent would draw the werewolves to them. When they heard the sound of running, the two girls ran away from the blood to set up a trip wire so that if either of the werewolves crossed it, they would catch them in a trap. They waited and they heard the rustling in the trees and they saw Boyd from afar, but he never ran towards the trip wire, instead something caught his attention in the opposite direction and he ran off again. "Damn."

"Come on." Scarlett whispered, running after the tracks Boyd was making. They ran until they came across one of the devices hunters used to corral werewolves, making the two girls stop and look at each other with raised brows. They hadn't put them there, which meant there was another hunter helping out and they had a pretty good idea of who it might be.

Their heads snapped to the side when they heard voices and they quickly hid behind the trees.

"They should be heading towards the school now, Isaac and I are on our way there." They heard Scott's voice and they both made a silent decision to head to the school to help with Scott's plan.

When they were at the school, they climbed on top of a school bus to get a better view of what was happening. They were right outside the doors that the two werewolves needed to go through so that they could be locked in.

"They're coming." Scarlett said, watching as Boyd and the girl ran towards the back of the school. Scarlett and Allison both had their bow and arrows ready to shoot, completed with sparking arrow heads that would impair the werewolves sight. As soon as Boyd and the girl came into closer range, the girls started firing the arrows at the ground, not trying to hit them but making sure they were giving them no choice but to head towards the open doors to get away from the arrows.

The sparks from the arrows were enough to drive the two werewolves inside and as soon as they were through the doors, Isaac was there to slam them shut and bar them from the outside. The girls wore satisfied looks but then looks of worry when Isaac looked up in shock at them. They quickly jumped from the bus, remembering they weren't supposed to be there and made a run for the woods.

"Do you think it worked?" Allison asked as she drove Scarlett home.

Scarlett pondered the question. It was two werewolves against Scott, Derek, Isaac and very likely Chris Argent. She was sure the odds were in the favour of the good guys…this time, anyway. "Yeah. Of course it worked, it's Scott after all." Scarlett said with a smile. She knew her brother always pulled through. It was what made him so admirable. He saw things in black and white. He knew what was wrong and what was right. And he knew the right thing to do was to catch Boyd and this mysterious girl rather than kill them because that's the kind of person Scarlett's twin was. A good person that always found a solution to their problems and he saw it through that nobody innocent got hurt while he was around.

"And we helped out too." Allison said with a smile.

"We were pretty badass." Scarlett grinned. Without their secret help the werewolves could have easily evaded the trap that the boys had set and Scarlett felt an amazing sense of accomplishment at the fact that due to her, and Allison, innocent lives had been spared.

"I just can't believe my dad was helping them, after he said we'd stay out of it. And he didn't tell me about it, either." Allison told her, her smile dropping.

"Come on, Allison, you did the exact same thing he did. You guys just can't help yourselves when it comes to saving people. It's what you do and it doesn't make you a bad person. In fact, it makes you both very good people." Scarlett reassured him.

"I guess. I still don't want him to know that we were there. And it doesn't help that Isaac saw us." Allison grumbled. A coy smile appeared on Scarlett's face, earning a look from Allison. "What?"

"Nothing." Scarlett laughed. "It's just…Isaac saw you. Like, just you."

"What are you talking about? You were there too." Allison countered, unsure of what Scarlett was getting at.

"I mean; it was like he was mesmerised by you or something because he never even glanced at me." Scarlett explained. "He totally has a thing for you."

"What?!" Allison asked, so in shock that she swerved the car. Scarlett just laughed. "No way, he hates me."

Scarlett scoffed. "Yeah, okay, and that's why he was practically making googly eyes at you."

Allison shook her head, regaining her calm. "He was just surprised. Besides, I thought he had a thing for you."

"Oh please, that died as soon as he found out I was dating his Alpha." Scarlett explained. "Emphasis on the 'was' I guess."

Allison looked over at Scarlett. "How are you doing with that?"

Scarlett sighed. "Honestly, there's a small part of me that misses him. I mean, you don't just lose all feelings for someone because you break up with them. But, aside from that part of myself I've never felt better."

"Really?"

"Yeah." Scarlett laughed. "Just seeing him be such an asshole to you about your mom made me realise that if that's the kind of person he is now; I definitely don't want to be with him. And the fact that I got to help out tonight, like really help and make a difference without having to worry about him finding out or having to answer to him about putting myself in danger…it just feels amazing."

Allison laughed, seeing Scarlett in such good spirits. "Well, I guess that's the benefit of being a free woman."

"If I had a drink I would cheers to that."

The rest of the drive was spent with the girls belting out the words to girl power songs that made them feel in even better moods. When they arrived at Scarlett's house, Scarlett thanked Allison and headed inside. She then realised she hadn't checked her phone since Scott called her a couple hours ago. Her eyes widened when she saw she had fifteen missed calls from Lydia and she immediately called her back, hoping she was okay.

"Where have you been?" Lydia asked immediately. "I've been calling for like an hour."

"I'm so sorry, Lyds, I had to help Allison with something." Scarlett apologised.

"Yeah well, I could've really used my best friend to talk to after I found a dead body." Lydia sounded shaken up and Scarlett's eyes widened.

"What? A body? Where? Are you okay? Do you want me to come over? Where are you?" She asked frantically.

"I'm fine. I'm at home." Lydia reassured her. "I got in my car to go to the store and I ended up at swimming pool and I have no idea how I got there. And I saw a body in the pool but when I turned it over it was a dummy. But then…"

"What happened Lyds?" Scarlett pressed

"I turned around and there was blood everywhere coming from an actual dead body. Some guy had his throat slashed and it was…it was so terrifying." Lydia said, sounding like she was about to cry. And Scarlett didn't blame her because that's exactly how she felt when she saw Erica's body only a few hours earlier.

"Did you call the police?"

"Yeah, and Stiles, and he said that it was Boyd and Cora who did it." Scarlett's brows furrowed.

"That's impossible, Boyd and Cora," She finally knew the mysterious girls name. "Were on the other side of town the whole night."

"Wait, how do you know where they were?" Lydia asked sceptically.

Scarlett sighed. "Because Allison and I were tracking them to help catch them. But no one knows and we want to keep it that way."

"Okay…but if they didn't do it, then who did?"

"I don't know." Scarlett said in a whisper just as her door opened to reveal Scott. "I gotta go Lyds but if you need anything just call me."

"Did she tell you she found a dead body?" Scott asked, taking a seat next to Scarlett on her bed, taking in her attire.

"Yeah, she said that Boyd and Cora killed him."

"But obviously the didn't because they were on the other side of town the whole time. And you already knew that because you were tracking them too, weren't you?" Scott asked knowingly, a solemn look on his face.

Scarlett sighed. "I couldn't just sit back and do nothing. I broke the seal, so it was my responsibility to help make sure they didn't hurt anyone."

"Look Scar, I know that you can take care of yourself now…just like Allison can but I'm still worried about you. Not only were Boyd and Cora maniacs tonight that would've killed you if they had seen you but there's also a pack of Alphas running around and if I'm scared of them then you should be too." Scarlett knew he was just looking out for her and she was okay with that because he was her brother and she worried about him too, but he needed to know that it wasn't just his job to help people.

"I understand your worry, Scotty but I can't just let it be you who takes care of the bad guys. Someone's gotta be there to back your ass up and who better to be that person than me? Your sister. The one who has always had your back." Scarlett suggested.

Scott shook his head but smiled. "I guess you're right. But that doesn't mean that I'm okay with you putting your life in danger."

"I'm a big girl now, Scotty." She reassured him. "I know how to shoot a bow and arrow." It was quiet between them for a couple of seconds before Scarlett spoke again. "So if it wasn't Boyd and Cora who killed that guy, who do you think it was?"

Scott pursed his lips. "I'm not sure. But Stiles has a theory. He thinks that the guy and the girl that he went to nursery school with were human sacrifices."

Scarlett's brows furrowed. "What? Why would he think that?"

"Both of them had the exact same three injuries…and they were both virgins. And, another girl went missing tonight…" Scott trailed off. "She was a virgin."

"Why virgins though?" Scarlett asked, not being able to rap her head around someone sacrificing humans.

"I don't know." Scott answered truthfully. "But I think they're gonna find that girl and I think she's going to have the same exact injuries."
