Chapter 40 – Dream World

Mukuro and Kuro wanted to ask more question, but Chrome interrupted them. "What did you mean just now… that we are in Mukuro-sama and my dream world, boss?"

"It is as I said. We are in a dream world that is connected to Mukuro's and Chrome's mind."

Mukuro raised an eyebrow. "Kufufu~ how is that possible? I mean-"

Molte stopped him. "Did Chrome not already entered your dream twice before to tell you to help her escape from the Martirio Famiglia?" Mukuro just nods. "That is why you two are already linked to each other and can meet each other like this."

"Kufufufu~ then why are both of you here too?" while Mukuro pointed to Molte and Kuro.

"Because… we can go into your connected minds as long as we are holding contact with your real body in reality."

"R-Real… b-body…?"

Molte nods. "Yes. After both of you hugged and closed your eyes in the living room, both of you fainted."

Kuro continued. "Then, I carried Chrome while boss carried Mukuro to the boss' bedroom and put you both onto his head. Next, boss taught me a technique and here we are."

Mukuro and Chrome nod in understanding.

Chrome then looks to Molte. "W-What… kind of technique… did you teach to Kuro?"

"O~ it is a technique to enter other people's mind. It can also show the other mind's memories. This technique can only be used by illusionists that know it exists."

The other three illusionists around Molte blink their eyes.

"Kufufufu~ who taught it to you then?"

"My illusionist teacher..."

Suddenly, Chrome's eyes widened in realization. "A-Are you… going to show them… my… memories…?"

Molte nods and Chrome shakes her head to refuse about seeing her memories.

"Do not worry Chrome. I will not force you to show your memories."

"If… I want to show it…?"

"You can tell me when to stop showing the memories."

Chrome nods. "Show them all… just do not show them… the memories when I was… captured by them… and my stay… in their base… Please…."

Molte nods and walks over to Chrome. Molte holds out his hand and Chrome looks at his hand strangely.

Molte signed. "Chrome, please stand. I cannot help you if you seat down like this."

Chrome nods while blushing and take Molte's hand to stand up. She follows Molte to stand in the middle of the dream world.

"W-What… should I do now…?"

"Close you eyes and let your memories flow through you. Then, I will help you to show your memories into the dream world we are currently at."

Chrome nods and did as Molte told him to do. Chrome closes her eyes and let her memories flow. Her tears were flowing down from her cheeks as she sees her memories again. Molte holds her hand tightly and closes his eyes too.

Molte activated his Mist flames secretly while it surrounds his body invisibly and shows the memories of Chrome into the dream world.

~ After seeing Chrome's memories ~

Molte just signed as he sees the scene in front of him. Mukuro was shaking in anger, Chrome was crying because of the memories that she was forced (not really) to show to the other three people while Kuro was calming Chrome down even though she was crying too.

Mukuro saw Molte covered his eyes and signed. "Oya oya~ why did you sign?"

Molte lowered his head and his bangs covered his eyes. "It was nothing."

Kuro look to Molte too while a line of tears fell from her eyes. "W-Why… are you… not sad… by this…?"

Molte signed in sadness. "I-I… My step-father died protecting me. And after I run away from killing the Famiglia that killed him, I cried my tears out. Since then, after that I could not cry anymore and showing your emotions are a weakness for a hitman such as myself."

Chrome stopped crying. "E-Eh…?"

"Yes, my step-father told me that emotions are a weakness for a hitman to posses."

The three were shocked about this and started at Molte.

~ KHR ~

A few moments later, they were still staring at Molte. Molte was getting irritated by it and the awkward silence between the four of them. He went to them and shakes them to wake them up from their day dreaming.

They blink while coming back to their conscious mind and saw that they were sitting around a table. Molte was also drinking a cup of tea while looking at them.

Kuro pointed to the cup of tea. "W-Where did you get that?"

"By imagining it into this world… Why?"

"H-How…? Is this not Mukuro-san's and Chrome-chan's dream world…?"

"I am the most powerful here. Of course I can also control this world by my will."

"Kufufufu~ can I have a cup of tea then."

"Sure."

Molte snapped his fingers and sure enough Mukuro, Chrome and Kuro were each holding a cup of tea on their hands. They drink the tea and it was automatically refill after they had finished it.

"Boss, I have a favor. Can I see…?"

Before Chrome finished saying, Molte stopped her. "No. I know what you want, but no. I will not let you see his memories."

"Oya oya~ what do you want with boss, my dear Chrome?"

Chrome blushed. "I-I… wanted…"

"She wants to see your memories of your life in the Estraneo Famiglia, Mukuro."

Mukuro was shocked. "What…?" and he looked at Chrome.

Molte drinks his tea. "I said that Chrome wants to see your memories when you were still in the Estraneo Famiglia."

"No! That is no way that I will let her see any of my memories that is involved in the experiments that the Estraneo Famiglia did to me."

"W-Why… Mukuro-sama…?"

Molte signed again. "It is because when Kuro saw his memories from the Estraneo Famiglia, she was shaking in fear and almost fainted. If you saw it now in your weaken condition, your healing rate will be even slower. And I am sure that Mukuro will not like that."

Chrome pouted cutely. Molte, Mukuro and Kuro who saw it was thinking differently.

'Kufufufu~ I will never let anyone harm her. I will kill anyone who dares make her cry… or angry her!'

'Kyaa~ so cute! I hope we can be best friends! Her pout is almost as powerful as Molte's smile though…'

'Hn. I guess that was… cute…?'

Molte shakes his head and signed.

~ KHR ~

"Kufufufu~ I guess boss was telling the truth about Chrome's parents and my d**n father. I am very sorry for being angry at you my dear Chrome without knowing of your past, and shouting at you too," and Mukuro hugged Chrome.

Chrome blushed. "It is alright Mukuro-sama."

Molte immediately snapped his fingers and the table disappeared while the tea on their hands disappeared too. Mukuro raised an eyebrow, Chrome was confused and Kuro chuckled slightly.

Molte coughed slightly. "No lovey-dovey here."

Mukuro and Chrome blushed.

Molte chuckled. "Before we go back to the real world, I have to tell you all something."

"Kufufufu~ what is it?"

"We can now talk through our minds when we are awake in the real world, this can only be done by illusionists that know how to do it."

"E-Eh…?" (Chrome)

"H-How…?" (Kuro)

"I-Is that even possible…?" (Mukuro)

"Yes, it is possible. Because we were connected for a long time in our minds, so our minds are connected to each other. Try to think about something in your mind when we return to the real world, and you will see what I told you just now are true."

The three others nods and went back to the real world together with Molte.

~ Living room ~

Ken, Chikusa and Lancia had finished washing the dishes. They are now watching the television.

Lancia then looks at the clock. "It has been a lot of hours. Are you not worried about them at all? It is almost dinner time right now."

"That is no need to worry about them, kakipi."

Chikusa pushed up his glasses. "They will be fine."

Lancia raised an eyebrow. "Are you not at least a little bit worried?"

Ken shakes his head. "No, there is no need to worry about them. I am sure they are just discussing about things for tomorrow. They always do this for the future or something like that…"

"You are really not worried."

"I just do not want to get chased by the animals boss' has. I do not even want to know where boss gets them," and Ken shivered at being chased by the animals.

Then… there was silence…
