AN: Apologies for the delays, have had to recover some of the stories, I have actually moved quit a bit on. I've had to rewrite this chapter, and will immediately upload the first chapter of the next story, which should hopefully explain things.
John and Laura both sat quietly at the dinning table. Nat had fallen asleep on the couch, Alex had refused to speak to anyone since they had gotten home from the funeral, he sat on the window sill staring out the window. Juanita, Nat, John and Laura had all tried to comfort Alex, but he threw them all off.
"Alex?" Laura asked softly, standing up. "I think you should get some sleep,"
Alex just stared out the window, he felt Laura's hand on his shoulder.
"Come on Alex," Laura said softly trying to coax Alex onto the couch beside his brother.
Alex roughly threw her arm of his shoulder.
"Alex, you'll feel better if you sleep," Laura said gently.
Alex turned around and pushed her roughly.
"Alex?" Laura said a little shocked.
"What!? You think sleep will magically bring Mom and Dad back!?" Alex shouted angrily. Laura tried to hug him, but he again shoved her out the way, John tried to get up and stop him, but Alex stormed out the door, slamming the door behind him. The noise causing Nat to stir. he opened his eyes, Laura looking a bit upset and John looking like he was out of options.
"He's gone isn't it?" Nat said heavily.
"Yeah" John said softly.
It was eight in the morning when John found Alex, kneeling on the ground at the cemetery tightly hugging his dads tombstone. His face stained with tears, his head hurting from the night spent crying.
"Alex," John said softly, kneeling beside Alex. "I know it hurts, I know I won't really understand how much it hurts, but you can't close yourself off, we are all worried about you, Nat especially."
"I miss them," Alex sobbed, "They can't be gone,"
John put an arm around Alex. "They will always be with you Alex, look in your heart and you will find them."
"I don't want to... I just want to hug them," Alex sobbed, and John pulled him in closer.
"I know Alex, I'm sorry," John said softly, he just held Alex tighter. They stayed for another three hours, before John was able to slowly coax Alex back to the apartment.
The moment Alex walked through to the door, Nat was on him wrapping him up in a hug. He didn't want to be separated from Alex, and he knew as much as Alex tried to shut it out, that Alex didn't want to be away from him.
"Nat, take him to the couch, and try hug him to sleep," John said softly, he knew enough about the bond between Nat and Alex, that this might be the only to keep Alex calm enough to fall asleep, and it worked. Nat held his brother tightly in his arms and both brothers drifted to sleep.
