Chapter 10

Our First Date (1)

"Lift up your head so I can get that cut" "Ouch" wailed a boy behind the white curtains. The kind female voice came out of the curtains and with a stern look looked at the pack of boys standing in the waiting area. "Would any of you tell me why Takumi-kun is beaten up?" All of the tennis boy sweat dropped and look at the floor; finally Tezuka spoke with authority of a captain,"We don't know Akira-sensei as we walked home we found him in the floor" The nurse gave him a stern look and let out an exasperated sigh,"Is that so then why is Ryoma-kun's knuckles bleeding as well," To this the boys could not answer, Ryoma stood up not wanting his teammates to get in trouble for his lack of control, "I was the one that beat up Takumi, Akira-sensei, the Tennis team had nothing to do with it" The boys began to protest but were shut up by the old lady's glare, "Would you care to explain why you resorted to violence, Ryoma-kun?" Before the boy could answer a girl that had been sitting in the corner stood up to protect her boyfriend from unfair punishment, "It was Takumi-kun's fault he kissed me by force even though I told him I did not reciprocate his feelings" All of the people in the room stared at her outburst, and it suddenly clicked in every one's head why Echizen had lost control, "So o'chibi had been just protecting his girl" jested the acrobatic player. "Oh young love, young love" added Momoshiro. However, Ryoma kept a poker face trying hard to not lash out, the event was still fresh in his memory, and Takumi was hiding behind the curtain. As if the boy had heard the Echizen's thought, he came out from the curtains displaying to all what an angry Ryoma could do. Takumi had a black eye, swollen lips, and a cut above his eyebrow. As he walked forward he limped a bit, but it was not as if he was never going to recover, it would just take a while. "Is this correct?" Asked the nurse "Yeah," answered the boy rudely. He walked to the door and was stopped by the nurse"Where are you going?" "Akira-sensei, I know what I did and I guess I deserved it," he looked back at the girl with big doe caramel eyes, "I'm sorry if I hurt you, it was never my intention. I hope your happy with Echizen at least now I know he can protect you." Whith that last statement he left the room. "Well since Ryoma-kun has never gotten in trouble I'll let it slide, for you Sakuno-chan" the lady smiled kindly," and tell your grandmother that we will be having tea tomorrow" "Of course Akira-sensei" smiled the girl gratefully. 'Being the coaches granddaughter had its perks,' she thought. After applying an ointment to the boys knuckles they all left the nurse and headed home, but before the couple could escape they were surrounded by the team.

"What exactly happened Ryoma?" asked the captain. Ryoma could have ignored everyone else, but not his captain so gaining as much courage as he could he pulled the girl close to him and looking straight at his teammates, with determination in his eyes he spoke, "Sakuno is my," he swallowed he hated loosing but it was enough of hiding, "Sakuno is my girlfriend and I could not let someone else touch her." The boy spoke without a trace of regret, the girl's eye widened and her cheeks flushed. The teammates were astonished and speechless, the boy took advantage of this and with the girl in tow escaped, leaving the flabbergast boys.

The girl huffed, trying to catch her breath, she looked up at her boyfriend who wore a scowl on his face, "I won!" she exclaimed filled with joy and pride. The boy was about to retort sarcastically, but when he saw his girlfriend with such a triumphant smile, he could not help but smile as well, he leaned closer taking her head into his hand and gently kissed the rose colored lips, "As promised my princess, your wish is my command" The girl was surprised at the fact that the boy had accepted defeat so easily. "Well," she smirked," You will have to tell others and tomorrow you will take me out on a date for the whole day following my every command." The boy leaned closer but did not kiss her,instead whispered against her lips,"Whatever my princess desires I will grant her every wish" before closing their deal with a kiss. They broke apart as they heard the scream of the tennis players.

They had agreed to meet up in their bench at the park, the one that had begun everything from their first kiss to when he asked her out. He left early in morning wanting to be early, wearing faded blue skinny's, black kicks, a red t-shirt and a black leather jacket. He checked himself in the hallway mirror which was a wrong move since his perverted father noticed. "Oh is o'chibi going out on date with his girlfriend?" teased the old man before he could replay his mother butted in, " Ryoma has a girlfriend? Who is she? When are you bringing her over?" Ryoma sweat dropped but he decided that if he was going to tell everyone he had to start with his parents, "I'll bring her over next time" he said y leaving his parent speechless. Sakuno had other problems other than her grandma finding out, she had risen from her beauty sleep early. She took a shower and instead of braiding her hair in one ponytail she opted for braiding a strand of her hair and making a crown over her loose hair. The dilemma was what to wear on her first date with her boyfriend. She looked at her clothes from pink skirt to blue dresses she could not choose what to wear. In that instant her savior came in the form of her best friend Tomoka. "Tomo-chan" she screamed in joy. "Yes Sakuno-chan I have come to save you" she said as she raided he closet. Soon enough Tomo-chan had chosen her outfit. Sakuno-chan looked it over and approved, it was not revealing but it wasn't prude either. Her outfit consisted of a pair of navy blue shorts with black tight leggings underneath and brown boots a red wine tank top with frills over a v-cut and a black cardigan. Tomoka looked at her creation and squealed with delight, "The only thing you need is a bit of makeup, your skin is flawless so no need for concealer" She sat Sakuno on a stool and applied liquid eyeliner on her upper eyelid creating a cat-like look. She curled her already long eyelashes and applied mascara. "All right all you need is some lip gloss and your ready" "Ok let me see how about this one?" Sakuno asked picking out a red cherry one. "That one is perfect, now hurry or you will be late" At this she looked over at the clock and hurried out screaming ,"Thanks Tomo-chan I owe you!" Tomoka looked at her from the door and sighed happy for her best friend.

'Im going to be late' the girl though as she ran towards their meeting place, she had left her house five minutes late, 'its there' she spotted the bench but she did not see Ryoma anywhere. In her hurry to the bench she did not notice the pebble on the ground. "Bamm!" suddenly she tripped over the pebble and hit the ground hard landing on her knees and hands.

Ryoma was walking back from the bending machine drinking his ponta when he saw as his girlfriend tripped on nothing but her own feet and was stricken with the familiarity of the scene. He hurried over to help her, "Stand up Sakuno" he offered his hand and she gladly accepted. Surprisingly unlike last time she held her tears not wanting to ruin her makeup. Once she stood up they sat in the bench and Ryoma asked "Are you ok?" She looked at her knee thankful that her leggings had not ripped and with a smile answered, "Yeah I just tripped" "Heh I noticed" smirked Ryoma teasing his girlfriend. Sakuno pouted and her eyes landed on the ponta her boyfriend was holding. "Ryoma-kun was late and therefore he has to be punished, " she spoke looking at him mischief in her eyes, "You have to give me your ponta" she exclaimed. Ryoma was surprised and was about to protest that she was the one late but decided to play along. "Of course my princess" As she leaned in to get the can he moved fast and took a swig of the grape flavor soda, Sakuno was confused at his actions and suddenly his lip were over hers prying them open. She complied and soon enough felt a cold sweet liquid seep down her throat. She pulled away red beet, "What ah what was that for?" she panted. "Well I could not let my beautiful princess touch the dirty can" he smirked seeing the flustered girl blush even more as he complimented her. She pouted " Mou Ryoma-kun thats not fair" "Do you want more the way your exposing your lips makes me thing you want more juice my princess" he teased. Sakuno did not want to loose so with a blush on her cheek she said "I want more!" and slightly opened her lips an invitation that Ryoma was not going to pass. Taking another swig he closed on her lips. The next ten minutes passed in similar way both to stubborn to stop until the can was empty. But by then the can was forgotten and their lips were connected in heated kiss, forgetting were they where or who was watching. Thankfully people had decided to avoid that part of the park. They broke apart for air both panting their foreheads touching, Sakuno's hand moved to Ryoma's heart and felt its heartbeat, she was sitting on his lap for a more comfortable position, they had move unconsciously through the make out session. Ryoma looked down at Sakuno and cold not be any happier that he had told every one that she was his because he would not be able to stand it if anyone else had caused her to look this beautiful. Her hair was disheveled from his running fingers her cheeks were flushed and her lips were plump and swollen, she was breathtaking. "You taste like cherry" he commented she squirmed and fished out something from her bag, showing Ryoma her lip gloss to breathless to explain. He smirked and said, "It tastes good but I prefer ponta flavor" She looked at his teasing smile and stuck out her tongue. Before she could retort he spoke again, "Well are we going or do you want to stay here as everyone watches" as she heard this she looked around and realized that the isolated spot in the park was abundant with people. She blushed and agreed getting up. She stumble and almost lost her balance if not for Ryoma's hands on her hips, "Be careful Sakuno" he whispered to her ear, making her blush. "Hmm lets go on our date!" She exclaimed as she walked out hir grip turning around and giving him a dazzling smile that made his heart stop, taking his hand they began walking to their destination.

"O'chibiii" screamed an excited Eiji as he spotted the two teenage lovers. The seigaku team looked over to where Eiji was pointing at and noticed the two figures straighten up at the scream turning around slowly. Both swallowed hard as they saw their sempai making their way towards them feeling an impending doom.
