Chapter 2. Eve pov.
After convincing the girls to leave, I waited until I heard them hit the high way before leaving out of the back door, stripping in the forest behind the house and putting my clothes into my bag, tying that to my ankle and shifting.
I stretched a little before shooting off towards the Cullen's house. I know I might be insane but I feel bad for when I blew up for no real reason. I feel kinda stupid about it.
I run through the forest trying to think of what I would say, they probably think I'm a complete bitch, the way I acted I wouldn't be surprised if they refused to help. I came to a stop in the forest just outside their house and shifted back.
I thought about being mean to the mind reader but I thought better and put my clothes on before stepped out of the forest as the front door open and a smiling Carlisle stepped out.
"Before you say anything, I'm really sorry for how I blew up the last time I was here and I feel like an idiot for it."
"It's fine, why don't you come in?"
"Thank you but I can't, pack business actually, we smelt a vampire around La Push, close to Billy's house, I was wondering if you were expecting anyone?"
"No but it could be someone myself or my family know, I'll send Alice and Edward back with you."
"Sure, Sam can shove whatever problem he has with you up his… you know."
Carlisle chuckled while from inside the house was booming laugher from who I believe would be Emmet. A few seconds later the whole Cullen family were standing at the door.
"You really are your mother's daughter aren't you?" Jasper smirked.
"More than you know, but I don't drool over school teachers."
"Can you please tell me what is going on with those two?" Alice begged.
"Later, right now I think it would be best if I got going, if you two are coming with…"
"Let's go." Alice smiled mysteriously.
"I don't like that smile." I grinned point at her, before she could say anything I was racing off to the forest and doing the shifters routine.
Edward and Alice came up next to me.
"Sorry guys, I have a few tag-alongs."
"Who is it?"
"Alice and Edward, Carlisle said it would be a good idea, in case it was someone they knew."
"Aright hurry up, Sam thinks this one is danger."
"We will be there soon just keep papa wolf under control."
"Hurry up."
"So you're taking the whole Sam is your father thing will." Edward stated.
"Just keep up." I took off running and I could tell that Alice and Edward where behind me.
"She is fast for a newbie."
"Alpha gene plus Leah's gene for running."
"She said Alpha gene plus running gene, apparently there is a bonus to it."
"Guys…"
"Eve stop!"
I didn't understand until I saw the headlights of a car, I jumped out of the way but the head lights clipped me and I lost control and ended hitting on of the tree in the forest line. I heard the car's tires come to a screeching stop about five or ten meters way and three sets of car doors open and closes. I couldn't moving from where I was from the pain in my chest and ankle.
I let out a whine hoping Edward or Alice would come to my rescue, luckily they landed in front of me.
"What are we going to do? She is too awkward to carry in her current form and if we don't move fast your friends are going to find us and have a lot of questions."
"Edward look away."
"What?"
"Look away! And ask Alice if she could please help me with my clothes?"
"Alice can you help her with her clothes?"
"Sure."
Edward looked away, I shifted back and I was in my clothes and up in the top of a tree within seconds just as my three friends walked into where I had just been.
"What was that?"
"I think it was a wolf?"
"It was too big for a wolf, maybe a bear?"
"No it had more of a wolfish head, remember when Eve showed us those photos? Plus it was grey and black and I think it had a brown stripe that covered its nose and spine." Lexi said.
"How did you even see that?" Jackie looked puzzled.
"Glasses." Lexi winked.
"Do I really have brown stripe on my back?" I felt Edward nod.
"We should move." Alice whispered, Edward nodded and they both slowly started to jump tree to tree before we were out of earshot and then they speed up before stopping at the La Push beach and jumping down onto the sand. Edward put down on the sand, I growled at the pain.
"I think something is broken." Edward said.
"Umm what are we going to do?"
"You stay here, I'll find the packs."
Before I could process what Edward had said he had disappeared, leaving me with the Pixie.
"So… that was a closes one."
"It was a close one, aww man if Jackie and Sarah were to find out I put a dint in Jackie's are they'll both kick my ass, they love that car!" I groaned.
"You were a giant wolf, I don't think they will find out anytime soon or, at all that is."
"Those girls can be really nosy when they set their minds to it, plus their already suspicious about the legends of La Push and our tattoos."
"Don't worry about it."
"I truly am sorry for going off at you by the way."
"Don't worry about it, I understand the problems with family."
"Problems in the perfect Cullen house?"
"Before I meet the Cullens, when I was still human."
"Oh, okay."
"Even back then when I was human and still when I was younger, I could predict the future, they didn't always come true but the ones that did, the once that I tried to warn people about that came true. They started calling me a witch."
"Alice you don't have to tell me this if you don't want to."
"Please." Was all she said, I looked at her, what I saw wasn't the bubbly and bright Alice I was growing used to but a very sadden Alice, I looked at her eyes and if she could she would probably be crying right now, I nodded and she continued.
"I saw my mother die twice, in a vision and in real life, my father was furious and the murder was written off as an accident, my father remarried and she practically made me a slave to my sister, I then saw that my father had planned the whole thing by murdering my mother and was then planning on murdering me."
"Alice that's horrible." I turned to move to at least try and comfort her but I couldn't move still.
"There's more. I tried to hide at my cousins house but they blamed me for their son's death and kicked me out, my father had told the town I had gone insane and they threw my in a asylum. I don't know what happened while I was there because Edward refused to tell me but there was a doctor who liked me and treated me like a daughter. He tested my abilities to see the future but hiding objects in his hand when he came in."
"I was happy apparently until I saw a vision of James, a vampire who had a strong hunting ability, he was coming after me and the only way to stop him was for me to be changed. The doctor was a vampire and he changed me just in time."
"If you don't mind me asking how does Edward know what happened in the asylum and you don't?"
"After I was changed I lost all memories of my human life, Edward helped me with finding out more by using his gift, we got our biggest clue when we first meet Aro who is the leader of all vampires, his gift is similar to Edwards but restricted to only touch but its stronger, he can see thoughts and memories. He looked through mine even when I can't remember it, Edward saw all of it."
"Alice that's horrible." I didn't question why she was telling me this, especially after how I treated her.
"Thank you for letting me get that out."
"No problem, you did kinda just save my life back there so I owe it to you."
"Well their back and they brought friends." Alice smiled.
I looked to the forest line to see both packs, Edward and four strangers. Two of them had blonde hair and the other two had brown.
"Friends of yours?"
"The three blondes Tanya and Kate are our cousins and the two browns are our Uncle Eleazar and Aunt Carmen."
I sat up and luckily my ribs had all healed but my ankle, looking at it, it was so out of place you could probably see it the bone sticking out from where the theirs where. I looked back to see a small greyish wolf and a rusty brown wolf sprinting across the tree line towards us, I knew I was Jacob and Leah, behind them was the Sam followed by the rest of the packs and Edward.
Both Leah and Jacob appeared in their human forms.
"Eve what happened?"
"Eh, I wasn't paying attention, got hit by a car, I'm okay besides my ankle."
Leah knelt down a looked at my ankle more closely.
"You did a ripper of a job, that's gonna take a day at least to heal."
"Lovely, can we go yet?"
Edward started to pick me up before Jacob growled.
"How else are we going to get her back to Carlisle?"
"Sam, I doubt she will agree to that."
"Sam said you could ride on his back."
"I'd rather ride on Leah or Jacobs."
I end up laying on top of Jacob back, holding on for dear life as he raced through the forest towards the Cullens, once we had got there Alice and helped me off and Jake went and got changed before coming back, picking me up and carrying me in side were Carlisle was already waiting.
