Chapter six.

"Shit."

"Hey are you okay? I'm Alex." The girl stook her hand out.

"Yeah sorry I'm Eve. Are you new around here, I haven't see you before?" I asked trying to find out more information about her.

"Yeah I just moved to Forks."

"Eve come on lets go." Lexi called, apparently while I had been distracted my friend and walked off.

"I have to go, I'll see you later." I turned and jogged to catch up, luckily thanks to my super wolf hearing I caught her last words.

"Hopefully so."

I smiled and caught up to my friend.

"What was al that about? You looked like you were about to have a fit or something." Jackie said.

"It was nothing, just a dizzy spell from the bump."

"It looked like you were flirting with her; you have a boyfriend, you know that right?"

"Guys chilli was just apologising for bumping into her and almost knocking her over."

"Let's just go." I turned to keep going when that same scent from my first patrol wafted past coming from the direction of the forest. I took my phone out at pretended that I had gotten a phone call.

"Yeah, are you sure?... do I have to? I'm out with my friends, fine I'll catch the first train back." I 'hung up' and put my phone back in my pocket.

"Who was that?"

"That was Leah, she says I need to get back to the house right now."

"Why."

"I don't know she just did, hey you guys I'm going to walk to the train station, you guys can stay and hang out more."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'll call you when I know what's up."

When I had gotten to out of my friends view I had run into the forest and phased.

I looked around and took a large sniff, the scent was stronger now and from what Leah had told me it was also roughly only a few minutes old. I figured out which way it had been going and followed it.

Eve what's up?

Hey Seth, nothing but do you know if Quil and Embery followed that scent I had found near the Cullen's house?

Yeah they did but they didn't find anything.

Did they tell the Cullens about it?

They didn't bother, it smell like Kate anyway it was probably her coming back from a hunting trip. Why do you ask?

No reason.

How is things with your friends?

Difficult, hey I have to go I have to talk to Jake.

You won't find him, about ten minutes ago he snapped and disappeared.

I'll find him and talk to him.

I blocked off my mind and ran, following the scent until it hit the cliffs of the ocean, I grunted and turned around. Why would Kate be all the way out here without Tanya or any of the other Cullens?

I turned around and head back towards Forks, it took me an hour to get there because I stop occasionally to see if I could find Jacob. I wonder if he felt me imprint. How did I even imprint if Jacob had imprinted on me. This isn't making any sense.

I did a U-turn from the direction of my house and headed towards another. One I didn't think I would willingly enter besides maybe getting food, when I arrived Sam as already standing out front leaning on one of the beams. I went around to were everyone normally phases and phased back.

Once I had done phasing I walked back out to Sam.

"I thought you were Leah with the speed you were running." He said trying to lighten the awkward mood that had set in.

"Um yeah well I guess I inherited that from her." I shrugged.

"What did you come here for?"

"Well your my dad and everything, and you hold a lot more knowledge about the tribe and stuff and… well I need your help with something."

"What is it?"

"Imprinting."

As I said the words I could tell Sam was tensing up.

"Why don't you talk to Leah, she is your mother."

"Leah doesn't know much about it and only recently imprinted."

"What about Jacob then, he is your imprint."

"That's the thing, he isn't."

"What do you mean, he imprinted on you."

"Exactly, he imprinted on me, I didn't imprint on him."

"Why are you coming to me about this?"

"You're the most experienced pack member with this."

"Let's head inside."

I nodded and followed him in greeting Emily who is in the kitchen cooking. We sat down in the small living room.

"So what happened to make you question this?"

"I imprinted on someone."

"But, Jacob imprinted on you."

"That's the thing, what happens to Jacob imprint on me?"

"I don't know, this has never happened before, none of it. A werewolf imprinting on another werewolf or the imprintee imprinting on someone else."

"I wasn't a werewolf when he imprinted on me, none of us knew I would phase besides maybe Leah."

"Then maybe that's why, you were human when he imprinted but not even the spirit elders could have predicted you phasing."

"So that means when I become a werewolf the imprint was became void?"

"Looks like it, anyway who did you imprint on?"

"I don't know them well they are new town, I just meet her but her name is Alex."

"Wait you imprinted on a girl?"

"Yeah, I'm cool with it though, I am bi after all."

"But imprinting is with the person a shifter has the best chance to reproduce."

"Billy says it's designed to make a shifter stronger."

"No offence to him, he is an Elder but his an old fool."

"So is that all you see Emily as? Your own personal baby producer? The person who you can bang a couple of times have a kid and be down with?" I knew I was pushing buttons that should not be pushed. Sam growled and started shaking.

"Don't you dare! Talk about Emily in that way!" He growled.

"Then why is my imprint on girl so bad huh?"

Sam calmed down and stopped shaking.

"Okay, okay. We should go talk to the Council about this."

"Hey you two, the foods ready if you want anything."

Sam and I stood up and headed into the kitchen and sat down at the table.

"So Eve how have you been?" Emily asked placing two large plates of food in front of Sam and I.

"I've been good thanks, the food looks good thank you."

"No worry now eat up."

Sam and I dug in and less than five minutes later the plates were empty. Once we helped clean up the kitchen Sam called up the council and asked for a meeting to be helped.

And two hours later I was only just getting back to Leah's house, I phased back and stumbled inside through the back door, Leah was in the living room and I could tell by the scents my friends where here as well. God damn it why can't they just keep their noses out of it.

"Hey I'm home."

"About time where have you been? You said Leah wanted you home straight away." Lexi said, Leah looked a little confused.

"She did; she had me go to talk to my Elders, they had some information on who my real parents are."

"So you just got back from having at meeting with the people we meet at the bonfire?" Lexi asked.

"Yeah, they thought I should know that they had found out."

"So what did they tell you?" Jackie asked curiously

"I'm not allowed to say anything until the Elders tell everyone at the next bonfire/ tribe meeting."

"Come on just tell us." Sarah whined.

"I can't, look just don't worry about it. Now no offence but can you guys leave I have to talk to Leah about something private and it's really important."

"Whatever you have to talk to her about you can talk to her about it in front of us." Lexi stood up to make her point.

"Look, I can't. I'll talk to you guys later."

"No."

"I said I would talk to you guys later now get out please." My body was beginning to shake and I could tell Leah had taken notice.

"Girls please just go, what Eve and I have to talk about is something every serious and anyway, you parents are probably worried about where you are."

They finally agreed and Leah walked them to the door as I tried to calm down and stop shaking. When Leah walked back in the first thing she did was start talking me down, once I had finally stopped shaking I sat down on the couch.

"I'd hate to agree with Paul but those three are getting really nosy." Leah said sitting down next to me.

"I don't know what I'm going to do with them, I can't just leave they. They helped me get out of the place I was when I was with Marcus."

"I know, it is tough, either their going to find out on their own, you tell them or you have tell them that something they gets them to stop asking so many questions."

"I don't know what I'm going to do." I sighed.

"So where did you end up going after you ditched your friends."

"There was a vampire in Port Angeles, I followed the scent until I hit the cliff and it disappeared again."

"That wouldn't have taken you thank long."

"Then I went and had Lunch with Sam and Emily."

"Why did you do that?"

"I had to talk to Sam about something."

"That you couldn't talk to me about?"

"It was about imprinting."

"Oh, what about it?"

"I imprinted on someone."

"Well yeah you imprinted on Jacob, didn't you?"

"That's the thing, he imprinted on me, I didn't imprint on him."

"What do you mean?"

"I imprinted on someone today, a girl."

"What?"

"I walked out of the cinema and bumped in to someone and then I looked down and everything stopped, all I could see or hear was her. I don't know how to explain it but everything in my world just stopped and started to revolve around her."

"Well you defiantly imprinted. But what I don't get is how, like I get how you imprinted on her even though you're both girls, Billy has explained that to us but what I don't get is how did you imprint on her, when Jacob imprinted on you?"

"The council thinks that it's because when Jacob imprinted on me I was still human and there was no way of knowing that I would become a werewolf."

"Means that as soon as you phased the connection weakened."

"And then when I just imprinted the connection broke completely."

"And that's what mad Jacob run off."

"I have to go find him. I'll call you before I come back." she agreed, I got up and left. I headed out of the front door and into the forest.

I run towards the first place that came to mind, I got to the cliffs and sniffed around. He hadn't been here for a few days, I pushed my mind and searched for him but all I was getting was anger and a need for revenge, which is odd considering Jacob was a very calm person. But then I felt something, this growing need.

I followed whatever the sense was telling me to go and noticed it was leading me closer to the Cullen's house. But the driveways just before the Cullen's house I was stopped by a loud growling noise. I turned and saw the most frightening sight I've ever seen.
