Chapter 7.
Jacob snarling and leaning over the top of a human.
I tried to link our minds be he was blocking me, he shifted slightly and the face of the person made me growl, Jacob wiped around to face me and I growled warning him to back off. He seemed to ignore me and turned and leapt at Alex's. As soon as I saw him jump I was on him and forcing him into a tree, a scream came from behind me and I turned around to see Alex clinging onto her arm which is spurting out blood.
I howled as loud and as hard as I could until I concentrated on keeping Jacob away from her. As soon as I knew someone else as around I turned back and paid attention to Alex, by know she was unconscious. I leads down beside her and whined poking her other shoulder with my nose.
"Eve we have to get her to Carlisle."
I turned my head and looked at Edward and then looked for Jacob who was no longer around. I nodded, Edward picked Alex up and we run to the Cullen house, when we got there I stayed outside and waited. I paced back and forth in the backyard even though Jasper was trying to calm me down.
"Someone please stop her from pacing she is starting to run a trail into the ground." I heard Rose complain.
I stopped and looked down, there was thin line forming where I had been walking, decided I would just sit down and waited.
"Hey guys why is there a giant wolf sitting in our backyard and why is no one freaking out?" I heard Luke asked, I looked up through the living room window and saw him and Maddy looking out, Maddy was pressing her face up against the window. I chuckled slightly and then called Edward out.
What do they know?
Edward leaned against the all next the kitchen window and spoke silently.
"They know were all vampires, i think after all that's happened you can tell them about you as well."

I jogged into the forest and noticed Leah and Seths minds were open, Jacob's was still closed off to me.
Hey guys what's going on?
Jake refused to see reason that he can't kill Alex.
Eh I don't care about him right now, do you think it would be wrong if I told Luke and Maddy about us? I mean they know about the Cullens being vampires after all.
Na go ahead, Bella found out when she was human so why not?
Awesome I'll see you guys later.
I phased back and jogged side and the first thing I noticed was how uncomfortable the mood is right now, I realised it was because there was a thick smell of blood floating down from Carlisle's office.
"Is she okay?" I asked worried.
"She is fine, she is just sleeping now." Emmet put a reassuring hand on my shoulder.
"Hey Eve, how did you get here?" Luke asked as he walked in with Maddy on his hip.
"You're not a vampire to are you?" He asked.
"No I'm not a vampire but I am something supernatural."
"What do you mean?" He looked puzzled while Maddy looked exited.
"You know that Giant wolf you saw outside?"
"Yeah what about it?"
"That was me, I'm a shape-shift, along with my pack Leah Jacob, Seth, Embery and Quil."
"Prove it."
"Hey Alice got a spare pair of cloths for me?" I called out to her.
A few seconds later Alice was standing next to me with a pair of shorts, underwear, bra and singlet.
"Sweet, that's Luke follow me." I grinned as I walked outside, everyone in the house followed as well.
I stood in the middle of the field and let out a small growl as I phased in front of Luke and Maddy. Maddy squealed in delight and Luke looked really shocked, Edward had to take Maddy out of his make sure he didn't drop her.
Hey Edward put them on my back, I'll run around the field a little.
Edward nodded and walk over and put Maddy on my back to which she cuddled into my fur, Luke protest before Edward put him up as well. Surprisingly they weren't that heavy.
"Hold on you two." Edward said before I started lightly jogging around the field. Maddy squealed again and clapped her head while Luke just laughed and made sure neither of them fell off.
Half an hour later we were all back inside and waiting for Alex to wake up, I sat in the chair next to her nervously holding her hand and playing with the ends of her red her which had been died pink, when the door opened I looked up and growled.
"I'm not here to fight." Jacob hands rose straight into the air."
"What do you want?" I snarled.
I looked at his face and my anger died down, he looked like hell.
"I wanted to apologise, what I did was out of line in all laws of the world."
"You don't say." I pointed to Alex's arm which had a thick white covering it.
"I don't know what happened, I felt our connection snap and then nothing and then nothing, I knew something I had happened and when I saw that her while I was running I knew it had been her the broke the connection and I just snapped."
"Look right now just go."
As I said that Luke walked in with Maddy walking beside him holding his hand.
"Hey, how's she going?" Luke asked.
"Evie!" Maddy let go of Luke's hand and run over to me, I picked her up and put her on my knees.
"Luke, Maddy this in Jacob."
"Nice to meet you." Luke put his hand out to shake Jacobs hand but Jacob wasn't paying attention, he was starting down at the girl on my knees. I'm know really confused, Jacob and imprinted on me, that broke and now his imprinted on Maddy.
"Hey man you alright?" Luke asking putting a hand on his shoulder.
"He fine, it's a shifter thing."
"What do you mean?"
"We'll explain later." I looked down and watched as Alex opened her eyes.
"Hey you okay?"
"What happened?"
"What do you remember?"
"I was in the forest behind my house and a giant brown wolf came out of no were and started growling at me."
"Anything else?"
"Another wolf a black and grey one with the brown stripe on its back, it tackled the other wolf when it went to leap to attack me. Something hit my arm and that's all I remember."
"You fainted due to lack of blood, I was hiking when I found you and you were in a pretty bad state, pale as a vampire I'd say." I coughed back a laugh as I heard light chackling coming from downs stairs.
"I lost blood?"
"Whatever hit you put a very large and nasty cut on your arm." I pointed to her arm which was covered by a large white bandage wrapped around it.
"Oh, hey where are we by the way?" She asked looking around the small make-shift hospital room.
"You house is across from Dr Cullens so I brought you here."
"You carried that whole way?"
"It was nothing, trust me your lighter than a feather plus two feet smaller than me."
"Wait you're the girl I meet today the cinema's the one who bumped into me. Eve right?"
"Yeah and your Alex, sorry I bumped into you by the way."
"No its fine, I'm surprised you remember me, most people don't."
"I can never forget a pretty face like yours."
I watched as a small blush crept up her cheeks.
"I'll go get Carlisle so he can check everything and then I'll walk you home."
"Umm… okay."
I hadn't noticed that Luke, Jacob and Maddy had left while Alex and I were talking. I headed down stairs as Carlisle run upstairs.
"How are you feeling sweetie?" Esme asked as I fell into the couch next to Emmet who was playing COD.
"Honest? I don't know, I'm happy that she is okay, sad that I can't really talk to her because I just met her and confused about the whole thing."
"Then you do know and trust me I think you can talk to her, her feelings towards you are quiet interesting." Jasper stated, I raised a small hand to stop him from continuing.
"Thanks Jasper."
"Her thoughts are quiet amusing as well." Edward chuckled.
"Guys leave her alone." I growled showing a little teeth.
"Ohh the pup is bark, how cute." Rose teased, I couldn't be bothered giving her the time of day.
"So where did Jacob, Maddy and Luke go?" I asked.
"Jacob took them on a walk or something, can anyone else believe that he imprint on someone else?" Edward asked.
"Nope, it's practically unheard of in pack legends." A comment was made as Seth and Leah walked in, Leah walked over and sat down next to me.
"It is really odd actually, especially with a girl of such a young age."
"That not odd, Quil imprint on Claire."
I moved myself so I was in Leah's arms and she rubbed my back trying to comfort me.
"Are you okay?"
"Im just confused."
I heard movement upstairs and then someone coming down the stairs, I looked up and smiled. Alex walked of the bottom step with Carlisle making sure she didn't fall over.
"It's good to see your awake sweetie." Esme smiled at her sweetly.
"You took a good hit there, your one tough little human!"
"Emmett!" I picked up a throw pillow and threw it at him and thanks to him being distracted by Rose hitting him, it hit the back of his head.
"Hey!" He turned around then then laughed when he saw who had threw it at him.
"How are you feeling Alex?" I asked, Alex looked over at me and something in her face twitched before changing back to being completely normal.
"Im fine, a little shocked by all of the people here."
"Well those guys are the Cullens, Carlisle, Esme, Edward, Bella, Jasper, Alice, Rose, Emmet and their two new additions Luke and Maddy." I pointed to each of them.
"And these guys are Jacob, Seth and Leah. Embery and Quil I think are out on a run or something?" I looked at Leah for conformation, she nodded and then continued to play with my hair. Alex's face flickered again and I looked at Edward and Jasper for help.
"She's thinks your dating Leah or something, she's jealous." Edward said under his breath fast enough not to be heard by human ears.
"Hey Leah any idea what mum's cooking for dinner?" I asked.
"Mum said she was going out and to feed ourselves." Leah replied obviously catching on to what I was playing at.
"You two are sisters?" Alex asked looking puzzled.
"Yeah, what did you think we are?" I asked, she blushed and shook her head.
I smiled at how cute she was and then realised what time it was.
"You should get home soon."
She nodded and then smiled.
"Would you walk me home? I don't want one of those wolves trying to finish me off."
"Of course but trust me, those wolves won't be trying anything." I sent a low warning growl towards Jacob and he shrunk back with Maddy in his arms.
"How do you know?"
"Trust me, the only thing those wolves are going to try, is to try and stay away from you."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive."
She nodded and I told the rest of the group that we were leaving and that I would see them later. As we walked down the Cullen's driveway I could feel Alex's eyes flicking over to me every few seconds and she was fidgeting with her hands a lot.
"So um… how long have you known the Cullens for?"
"I've known them for a few months, my boyfriend, sorry I mean Ex-boyfriend introduced us when we first meet, I had broken my wrist and so Jacob took me to Carlisle."
"That seems a little dramatic, so you dated Jacob? The boy who was holding the little Blonde girl back there?"
"Yeah, we're still friend but we felt like we were more brother and sister then boyfriend and girlfriend."
"IS that why you broke up?"
"That and we both meet someone who both think suits us much better." I smiled down ate her and she slightly blushed.
"You're different from when I first meet you at the cinemas you know, you were really dazed, like you were in your own world or something."
"Yeah I hadn't been feeling so." My sentence was cut off by one short ad sharp howl from nearby, if my ears are right just close to the edge of the forest on the other side of the river.
"Shit." I muttered, I knew what that howl meant, it meant that there was danger and that everyone in the pack had to meet.
"What? What was that howl? Do you think it was the wolves coming back?"
"No, look I have to go, I promise the wolves won't do anything."
She wrapped her arms around me and kissed my cheek. I smiled then jogged back towards the Cullens, when I was out of the view of Alex I jumped to the side and phased.
