Thankfully I had a bit of time...

And for that reviewer who asked if Arthur was dead... no comment. I'll leave you hanging.

Without further ado, here we go!

June 2012

In which the hero suffers through an illness and a car accident, and relays the information to Arthur.

Dear Arthur,

I haven't talked to you, face to face, for a few weeks now… Are you mad at me?

I apologize for any concern I may have caused you, since apparently this year's my unlucky year, according to China. I got sick a few days after I sent you a letter in January, then I got into a bad accident just last month. Y'know, the usual not looking both ways when crossing a street at night.

I'm fine, I'm fine, Artie, all I got was a concussion and a few bruises from the accident. I was hospitalized for my sickness (what someone told me, I'm fuzzy on the event itself), but that was because of my people's discontent towards the state of the economy, and I was fine afterwards until I got into the accident. As for my concussion, the doctor says that I might have forgotten some recent events, from about a year ago until now, but they won't cause me any trouble, nothing big. He also says that I am to have a few days of bed rest in the hospital before I can leave, so I'm writing this to you from the hospital bed I am currently cooped up in. I'm so bored, Artie. It's so boring in a hospital. There's nothing to do. At all. And people came to visit me, but I didn't know them. I think they were just bored and popped in to say hi or something, and there was this one dude who looked kind of like me, but he had a curl and a polar bear, and I think he was a ghost since he kept on fading in and out. It was scary!

On a happier note, happy (very late, but still on time, since I'm the HERO) Valentine's Day!

I was walking to the *even Eleven down the street at 11-ish to buy some soda when that car hit me. It was my fault though, I wasn't watching the light and I crossed when the crossing light was red. (or so they tell me, I can't remember a single thing)

I wish I could have spent Valentine's Day with you, but you couldn't come since the freak snow in London stopped all flights for three days straight, and January is never a good month to try to get plane tickets. I know you tried, babe, so it's okay :D We'll just arrange another date for it. I guess you could come around for a week or two around my birthday, and help me prepare the awesome party. It's going to be so awesome this year!

The IV drip is really annoying, it's stopping me from writing normally so this letter is taking much longer that I thought it would. Artieeeeee, you should come visit soon… It's so very boring hereeeeee. (put puppy eyes and a pout here).

Well, someone's here to visit again, and maybe my boredom will be relieved for a bit?

Looking forward to when you come visit,

THE HERO

About the whole amnesia thing, Alfred has psychogenic amnesia, which pretty much means he can't recall what happened before amnesia set in, but he can still form long-term memories, thus he knows what an IV drip is (from spending so much time in the hospital). His amnesia basically blocks out any memories from the start of the story until now, so from August 2011 until now.

Hint: that guy who Alfred says is like a ghost is, if you haven't guessed yet, Canada. And he's hung around for long enough, which is why Alfred can remember him.

Thanks for reading, leave a review, stay updated! Next update may be tonight as well... or it might be a few weeks from now. Really depends on how much time I have.
