You don't have to read this, but I'd appreciate it if you did: Is it bad that I've begun to hate the name I chose for Grimmjow's species? I mean, "Queso de Cerdo" (Brawn) was fine at first, but when I shorten it to "Queso" it means "cheese". Cheese! It was funny at first, but now I'm finding myself groaning everytime I use it... Would anyone be terribly angry if I changed it? To say... Qitrudu Zikaru ("Very War-like" in Akkaydian)? I'll put up a poll on my profile.
The day following Ichigo and Prince Byakuya's copulation was eventful to say the least, starting with the human's trip to the scientist for his usual milking.
The scientist was chuckling as he stood at the end of the "living" table, gazing at the young man's anus as he probbed it with a calculated hand. "You and his Highness had fun last night it seems."
Ichigo blushed even redder than he'd already been and diverted his chocolate gaze. "Wh-Whatever, just get this over with."
Szayel stifled his mirthful chuckles and went to work, strapping down the human and starting up the machine. Ichi gasped as the probe pushed inside. "Now, now. No need to get defensive," he admonished. "I'm glad the prince engaged an intercourse with you; I was beginning to worry that he couldn't do so."
The oranget shot him an incredulous look. "You thought the prince was impotent?"
Szayel shrugged. "He never showed interest in anyone, male or female. It'd gotten to the point that the king feared that he wouldn't sire a child."
"How will having sex with me help the prince get an heir? In case you didn't know, it's the females that make the babies on this planet."
"Well, yes, but he could still use you."
Ichi's eyes widened and he pressed his thighs together, ineffectively shielding his family jewels from view. "You are not giving me a sex change!"
Szayel chuckled again as if he thought the mere idea were ridiculous. "'Sex change.' Hah, you're funny." Before Ichigo could shoot back a retort, he started up the milker, and pleasure stole his words. Pleasure that paled in comparison to his experience the past night.

Once done, Ichigo redonned his gel-disk and was on his way back to his room when he noticed speaking on the other side of the front door. He opened it to find the prince addressing an amazing amount of aliens who stood at attention in front of his porch.
The oranget gawked at the shear amount of aliens (all Quesos as he soon realized) standing before him, listening as the prince addressed them. Had all of them come on the ship? Where had they all been all this time?!
The sharp sound of a snap woke him from his awed thoughts and he looked back at the inhabitants of the large porch. Yes, there was Byakuya, but to his left stood Renji and to his right was a Queso de Cerdo he'd never met and Grimmjow next to him. It was Renji who had snapped his fingers at Ichigo, the red-head sending a stern glare his way before jabbing a finger at the floor next to Byakuya's boots.
Ichigo glared mutinously back, but complied with the unspoken order not wanting to cause a scene in front of so many soldiers. He changed the briefs he was wearing into pants with foot coverings to protect his lower half from the ages old wood that the porch was made of and flopped down next to Byakuya's feet, gently resting his head against the ravenet's leg; the prince did not acknowledge the soft bump to his leg. He listened without understanding the words.
"My father, the King of Seireitei, and your ruler, Sosuke Aizen of Hueco Mundo, grow impatient with our lack of action, so it has been decided that we will take over the small human town of Karakura that resides near this establishment."
There were some eager cheers from most of crowd.
Byakuya waited for them to settle before continuing. "Think of this takeover as a trial run for the true invasion that will eventually take place. Here is what you need to know, and the rules you must abide by:
Karakura bears a small population of 3600, a mere scrap of how many humans this planet has. They may not wield weapons openly, however that does not mean that they do not have them or are not willing to use them when distressed. However, you must keep in mind that there will be no bloodshed. The only weapons allowed to you will be stunners, your bare hands, and your wits."
There were a few groans, some scoffs, but mostly silence at this information.
"Each of you will also be given 25 retaining collars to fit onto the humans you catch which is more than enough." Renji held out a retaining collar and Byakuya took it to show them. "The collars will act as a way to control them, discipline them, and even keep them from leaving the area as there will be an electromagnetic barrier erected around the town once you succeed in your task." He handed the collar back to his guardsman. "You will be going under the cover of dark, so you have many hours to gather your thoughts, gear up with the necessary supplies, and anything else you need to do to prepare yourself for this mission. More information will be given once you succeed. I hand you, now, over to your Captain to express his final orders and remarks."
The Queso to his right, a taller and much more muscular male with sleepy gray eyes, wavy brown hair and a goatee, stepped forward at the prompting. The poor guy honestly looked like he needed a nap to Ichigo's eyes, though he seemed to function just fine. His voice carried far as he spoke.
"I will reiterate that there will be no deaths during this mission, no matter the amount of hostility faced. While in the homes of the humans, confiscate all weaponry and communication devices before collaring them, gathering them and securing them in a single room for the rest of the night and then moving on to the next home to repeat the process; stun and bind all aggressive adult humans. Young children and infants will not need collars as well as those who are sickly or housed in the hospital as the workings of the collar could potentially interfere with their medical machinery. However, a group of you will be tasked with relieving the hospital of its communication devices and collaring its staff though you will remain there to oversee the workers as they tend to their patients. I expect these rules to be followed without question or hesitance, is that clear?"
"Yes, sir!" the crowd roared back.
"Be back here at zero-hundred hours, Earth time, ready for the mission. Eseru*?"
"Semu*!" they roared back, each one throwing a fist into the air.
"Eseru?"
"Semu!"
"Dismissed!"
After that, the crowd of maybe two hundred slowly dispersed or lingered around on the grass chatting, probably about the information they'd learned. Byakuya watched for a bare moment before looking down at Ichigo and beckoning him to his feet.
"What was that all about?" Ichigo asked when he was standing.
Byakuya only said, "Come inside," and headed for the warmth of the house with his guardsman, Grimmjow and the other alien tailing him. He led Ichigo back to their room where he settled on his couch, patting his lap to urge Ichi to go over and sit in it. The oranget warily looked over his shoulder at the other three aliens before doing as his master asked. Byakuya looked him dead in the eye as he spoke. "We are going to take over Karakura town tonight."
Without thinking Ichigo lurched away, but the grip the prince had on him kept him seated. "Wha- Why? Why now? What are you going to do? What about my family-"
Byakuya shushed him gently and stroked his cheek. "Calm down, Ichigo and I'll answer your questions."
Sucking in a deep breath, Ichigo let his eyes flutter shut and opened them once more as he exhaled.
"Good," the ravenet lightly praised. "We are taking over the town both as a way of practice as well as to appease my father, the King, and Supreme Leader Aizen, whom you met yesterday. On top of that, I'm sure you noticed the number of soldiers out there, it's not good to have so many and have nothing for them to do; it leads to trouble."
The new, sleepy, Queso chuckled.
"B-But what about the Ebola patients you got yesterday? Shouldn't you be focusing on that?" He was grasping at straws, he knew that, but he wanted to find some way, anyway to postpone the mini invasion.
Byakuya would have none of it. "Surely you do not think that the soldiers would have anything to do with that? Do not worry about your family either. Lieutenant Grimmjow has been tasked with securing them and bringing them here."
At the mention of the blue-haired alien, Ichigo peered over at him.
Grimmjow had a slightly subdued version of his usual cocky grin on. "Don't worry, Ichi, I'll take good of your sisters and relatives; nothing bad will happen to them."
Ichi was tense but reluctantly nodded. "And where will they stay?"
"They will have the option of staying here or returning back to town," the prince told him.
He nodded again, and said nothing else. What else was there to say?

When night came, the soldiers gathered for transport wielding stunners, many types of gel bindings, area silencers, remotes and the retaining collars they were promised. After a few more choice words from their captain and lieutenant -namely not to harm the humans too badly, secure them quickly, and to not get it into their heads that they could claim any of them as pets- they were ready to go.
The trip to the small town went quick, and soon they were filing out into the darkness to achieve their goals.

Aanral was part of the group of soldiers assigned to the hospital and he wasn't entirely happy with it. He'd have rather infiltrated human homes than babysit medical staff and their patients, but orders were orders. He took a moment to look at the other eleven men around him as they walked. The plan was for them to break of into groups of four and each would handle one floor of the rather small three-story building. He was with Filk, Traech, and Erak for this mission; three very fine soldiers and good friends of his.
For the most part, the hospital was silent as Aanral and his group filed into the back stairwell and climbed to the third floor, breaking off into groups of two once they reached their destination; it was Aanral and Traech from then on.
They crept around, peeking into rooms in search of staff, though coming up empty handed for most of the time. They froze when they heard a flush and water start running, and flattened against the wall. Traceh held up a hand to still Aanral as a door creaked open, and before the human could fully escape the room, he pounced; the human barely managed a yelp before their mouth was covered. Aanral waited a bare second before going to check on his teammate, but the man was already peeking out of the room, a hand firmly planted on the teary-eyed woman's mouth and a collar around her neck; the guy worked fast! "Go on ahead without me," Traech told him. "I'll brief this one and then catch up."
Aanral nodded and skulked away.
Light chatter echoed from around the corner, and he neared it on even quieter feet. Peeking around, he saw two humans sitting at a reception desk chatting and laughing quietly with each other. Their backs were turned to him so he took his chance; thank the Maker for four hands. Almost as quick as what he believed Traech had achieved, he had their mouths covered and their necks collared before they could think to shout for help. Shushing them, he pulled the struggling humans to the floor and laid them out on their backs. "Cease, fighting, I am not here to hurt you," he urged softly. They eventually stopped fighting him, however their grips on his arms remained firm. "When I remove my hands, you will not scream. Do you understand?" They nodded and he let them go just as Traech crept up with a firm hand on the human woman's neck, guiding her forward.
He nodded approvingly. "You got two all at once? Great job."
"Thanks. You wanna brief these while I check around some more?"
"Sure, go ah-"
Suddenly, an alarm went off. A quiet one, though it wasn't any less urgent. The humans looked up at a panel that was on the wall behind the desk that had lights all over it. One of which was flashing brightly.
"It's room 315B," the human, a male, that Aanral had caught said. He looked to Aanral. "Let us see to the patient. Please."
Aanral shook his head. "We aren't here to stop you." He stepped out of the way. "Go tend to your duties."
The two humans rushed into action without hesitation, and the Aanral just followed them. They entered the room of a patient who had flat-lined.
"Get the defibrillator, I think he's having a heart attack," the male ordered as he went to the bed and bared the patient's chest before beginning chest compressions. Treach's female rushed over with a case and set up the equipment. Electrode pads were affixed to specific places on the patient's body as a sharp whine filled the air. "Clear."
The woman pressed a button and the patient jerked as electricity flowed through him. "No response."
The male began compressions again before backing away for a second time. "Clear."
The patient jerked again, but this time beeps started up on the heart monitor and the patient settled though he was still unconscious. The male took out a little flashlight and quickly checked the dilation of the patient's pupils as he babbled out things for the nurse to take note of as well as what to give the patient before finishing. The defibrillator was put away and Traech's female stayed to finish up checks.
A hand alighted on Aanral's shoulder and he turned to see Filk with Erak and one last human, another female. "Everything alright?"
"Yeah, the human had a heart attack, but they handled it."
Filk nodded and took back his hand. "Is this all of the humans you found?"
"Yeah, but there's one more with Traech."
"Alright, me and Erak will head over to him then, just bring those two when they're done."
Aanral nodded and they took their leave. He turned back to find the two humans staring at him; the woman flinched and went back to work when he looked at her however.
"What do you want with us, alien?" the male asked.
"Once you finish up we'll meet up with my colleagues and we'll tell you all you need to know."
The male nodded and turned back to his patient.

This was easy. Only an hour had passed and Vaum had already infiltrated four homes, efficiently collaring and securing nine humans and only having to stun two men who were only trying to protecting their family. This next house would be a cinch.
Much like all the other homes, the backdoor was unlocked, though creaked loudly much to Vaum's utter annoyance, but after a quick pause and a straining of his ears he knew that the offending sound had not disturbed anyone in the home. Stunner at the ready, he crept around on quiet feet. The first floor was clear so he headed to the second floor after disabling the phones.
Behind the first door he tried, he found a bedroom with two bodies sleeping in the bed. He crept inside. A cool breeze blew in from the open window he'd failed to notice for the thick curtain covering it and the force made the door slam before he could grab it. Shit.
The male was up quickly. "Whoz'zere?" he demanded while fighting off sleep. "Duncan?"
The stunner in his face woke him up with a curse. "Don't move."
The female gasped and grasped her round stomach. Vaum's eyebrows lifted.
"Who are you? What do you want?" the male, the husband, demanded, his hand inching towards his pillow.
"I can shoot a lot faster than you, human. Don't try me."
With a swallow and a glare, he froze.
Keeping his eyes and stunner trained on the male, Vaum slowly rounded the bed to the side the wife was on. She whimpered as he drew near.
"Leave her alone!" The order was a harsh whisper.
Ignoring him, Vaum grasped the blanket covering her, and pulled it down to display her heavy belly. Heavy with young it seemed. She muffled a shout when he rested a hand on it.
"Don't touch her!" came another harsh whisper.
Vaum took note of how actively quiet the humans were trying to be, and then remembered something the male had uttered: Duncan. His eyes narrowed. "Go get your child and bring it here."
"Wha-What?"
"I said," he reached an arm down and grasped the back of the woman's neck, "go get your child, and bring it here. Now. And don't even think about calling for help." He squeezed the woman's neck a little, only enough to make her whimper in fear, but nothing more. The threat of his wife and unborn child got the man moving.
"Just... just stay calm, honey," he urged as he slowly backed out of the room. She only nodded back.
Once the man was gone, the Queso released her neck and she let out a quiet sob. Sighing wearily, he got a collar from the pack on his back and snapped it around her neck. The light on the back of it flashing green briefly to announce that it had synced with the remote he carried.
"Please, don't hurt us," she whimpered quietly.
Vaum gently touched her shoulder. The tender touch only made her tense more; that couldn't be good for the baby, right? "Don't worry, it's not my intention to harm any of you. So long as your husband doesn't try anything stupid, everything will be alright."
She didn't reply. While she laid there, silent and still, he went back to the other side of the bed and retrieved the gun the human had been reaching for from beneath the pillow. After marking it, he shoved it into the small mobile matter displacer he wore on his hip that was filled with more human firearms. He took another moment to close and seal up the window as well.
A soft voice and whines echoed down the hallway as he heard the husband returning with who he presumed was his child. His assumption was correct as he saw the small boy in the man's arm's rubbing his eyes and on the verge of tears from being woken up. Vaum ordered them both on the bed and the boy snuggled up to his mom before falling back to sleep with his father settling behind him.
"How old is he?"
The father swallowed. "Three years old."
Exempt from the collar then, Vaum thought as he noted the child's existence in his vambrace mounted computer as another pair of hands produced a collar. "Put this on."
The human gawked at his extra limbs before hesitantly taking it and putting the collar on. "What do you want?" he asked for a second time that night.
"Nothing," he answered truthfully. Finished logging the boy, he pulled out a silencer and a magnetic sealer. He placed the silencer high on the wall and pressed a pattern of buttons and after a warble and a low hum it was engaged and now the room was basically sound-proof. "Don't do anything stupid," he warned as he moved towards the door. He placed one part of the sealer on the inner part of the door frame and the other part of the outside of the door. "Go to sleep, I'll be back in the morning." He shut the door and energized the magnet.

Timel was taking it slower than most of the others, enjoying the sights as he wasn't sure when he'd have a chance to see the human town again. However, despite his leisurely pace, he still managed to collar ten humans, though it was due to sheer dumb luck. His first house had had a large family in it with an elderly female, a husband and his wife, their two older children and one more woman with her own child. A dog too; though that had gotten stunned and tied up.
He was quietly infiltrating a small, one-story home then, through the unlocked backdoor, in search of another human or two. The home had an odd scent mingling in the air with medicinal smells and artificial floral ones as well. He followed his nose and ears to a small room in the back.
An odd hum and the sound of air pumping filled his ears and a dim light aided his vision as he peeked into the room. There was another elderly woman, though this one much older than the one he'd seen earlier. There were tubes hooked up to her, forcing what looked like oxygen into her. She was exempt from the collar, but he still took a moment to document her existence.
"Kyle, is that you?"
Timel flinched and looked at her; her eyes had been closed so he'd been so sure that she was asleep, but it appeared that he was wrong.
"Kyle, quit standing by that door and get over here, you know I hate it when you lurk," she ordered in a sweet yet raspy voice.
He swallowed and spoke. "I'm sorry, but I am not this 'Kyle' you speak of."
Her mouth screwed up into a frown as a fresh burst of oxygen was given to her. "Are you a thief then?"
Timel chuckled. "No."
"Well, you wouldn't very well tell the truth about something like that, now would you?"
He laughed again, and walked over to her. One hand grasped hers while he waved another in front of her now open eyes; it seemed she was blind. "I promise you I am not a thief, and I was just on my way out."
She rubbed her pruney thumb over the back of his hand enjoying his touch even though he was unwelcome. "Well then you'd better go on. And don't try to trick me either, these old ears still work and I know every creak and groan this even older house makes. I'd better hear that door open, and you walk out of it, okay?"
"Yes, ma'am," he used the weird title that humans had for their women. He patted her hand one last time, before leaving as he'd been ordered. That human was rather adorable.

With fifteen collars left, Chir was confident about this next small house. On his way over, however, he'd heard murmurs over his ear piece of many of the others bragging about how many humans they'd already documented or collared and telling of how they'd found large structures filled with smaller homes and so many humans that they had to be taken over with the help of at least two others. Chir couldn't help but to be a little jealous.
He tried the door. Hmm... locked. That's a first. He gave up on the doors and tried windows instead. All the lower ones were locked up tight, and he definitely didn't want to risk the noise that he would cause from shattering one open. He looked to the second floor. In the back there was a single open window. His mouth twitched into the slightest of smiles before figuring out the quietest way for him to get up there.
With a quiet grunt, he climbed up and hoisted himself through the window.
He met wide eyes illuminated by a small lamp. He froze, his muscles bunching to pounce the moment the human opened his mouth to scream.
The screams didn't come.
The human male only made an annoyed whimpered before shoving his face back into his book, completely ignoring Chir. Well... that's weird... He stared for a while longer before crawling inside over the desk that the young man was sitting at with his book and then swinging his feet onto the floor. The young man still did not acknowledge him. Huh...
Shrugging, he pulled out a collar and quickly fastened it around the man's throat. He only grumbled and dropped his book to grasp the collar. He tugged on it a few times before dropping his head onto the desk with a dull thud. He stopped moving and just laid there, but Chir could tell that he was still breathing, so he was fine. Well, that was easy.
Confident that the boy would be fine, he turned to leave and search the rest of the house.
A loud thump and a shrill whine sounded behind him. He turned back to the human to find that he'd collapsed out of the chair he'd been sitting in and was yanking furiously at the collar, his wails increasing in volume and pitch as he thrashed around.
Looks like his confidence had failed him again.
Chir dropped to the floor next to him, shushing him as he put a hand over the human's mouth as his other arms worked to restrain him, but it proved hard to do so without the possibility of the human hurting himself, and his wails only grew louder. Cursing innerly, Chir removed the collar, hoping that it'd calm him; no such luck.
With his constant shushing, he didn't hear the door open behind him.
"No!"
Chir turned in time to be hit over the head and shoved before the human under his hands was dragged away. He recovered quickly, baring his teeth and snarling his teeth at his attacker, ready to take them down. It was unnecessary however.
His attacker had been a mere woman dressed only in her nightgown and wielding her phone as if it were a weapon. She shook the thing at him as if it were a threat. "I don't know who you are or why you're in my house, assaulting my son, but you'd better get the Hell out."
Chir rose to his feet.
She flinched. "I've already called the police!"
Chir scoffed; the woman was lying. She couldn't have contacted the authorities at all, not when that had been one of the first facilities they'd taken care of, along with hospital, and he said as such.
Her eyes widened and she swallowed thickly.
Chir produced a second collar. "I want you to put this on."
"Why?"
He cocked a slim brow as he slowly approached. "Do you really want to question the giant alien standing in your house?" He chuckled. "You've got guts, I admire that. Now, enough talk; put this collar on or I'll do it for you."
Her hands were shakey as she eventually reached out to take it and after some more hesitation, she put it on. He gave her the other collar, the one for her son, to hold on to. He'd have to figure out a way to get it on him without triggering that strange reaction again, but that could wait, and more than likely someone higher up would have a solution. Careful as to not turn his back on her, he secured the room (making sure he closed and sealed the window as well), and left the room with final remarks for the woman to behave herself.

Acrid smells slammed into his nose the moment Risgir opened the door of this new house, and he covered his nose and stifled a gag as his eyes burned; someone was really sick it seemed. It was then that he noticed horrible retching coming from somewhere in the house. Shaking his head, he followed the horrible sound and smell. He soon came to a lavatory that had two humans in it, one bent over with his head practically in the toilet and the other holding back the first's hair and patting his back. He was laughing at his friend even as he helped him like a true friend would.
"You're such a lightweight, man," the second chided with a slurred voice.
"Sh... shut u- blergh!"
The second laughed again. "Love you too, man."
They were both obviously intoxicated.
Risger rushed in and shoved the second human against the back wall of the shower as the other released another horrible bout of sickness. The human barely fought, too inebriated to really understand his situation and just stared at Risger, his eyes a little glazed. "Whoa, what are you?"
"Don't worry about that," he ordered as he kept the human still, an unnecessary step as he wasn't struggling in the least, and his other hands worked to produce a collar for which to put on the human. Once done, he forced the human to sit down in the off-white tub, and turned to the sick one. The human cast a single glance at him before turning back to the toilet with a dry heave. Risger came behind him and collared him as well. "Now, are there any other humans in this house?"
The human in the tub looked at him. "Oscar should be in his room; he's got work tomorrow," he offered helpfully.
Risger smirked. Not anymore he doesn't. "Don't move." It proved easy to find the naked human asleep in his bed, though a little harder to subdue him, collar him, get him dressed and down to the lavatory where the first two humans were still obediently awaiting him; the sick one had passed out. Risger shoved Oscar inside and jabbed a finger at the unconscious man while his other hands affixed a silencer to the wall and part of the sealer to the door frame. "Take care of him," was all he said before turning to leave.
As he closed the door behind him, he heard Oscar whisper harshly to the others. "The fuck did you guys do?!"

It was getting close to dawn, and Vaum only had two collars left to use before he was out and would have to circle back to the rendezvous point. He grumbled as he saw a light on in his next house; the human was probably up, so this made his mission just a tad harder. He crept inside as easily as all the others, and looked around the cluttered home.
CRASH!
The loud sound urged Vaum into action and he ran toward where the sound had originated. He gasped at what he found. The was a human hanging by a rope around his neck, seizing and grasping at the thick fibers. The Queso quickly grabbed the human about his waist and hoisted him up. A gasp left the human as he took in a breath and then a grunt as he was yanked away from the rope and slammed into the mattress behind him. His eyes opened wide and he looked around wildly before sobbing as he glared at Vaum accusingly. "Why would you do that!?" he yelled before falling into uncontrollable tears.
Vaum's eyes were wide with confusion.
"Why didn't you just let me die? Why can't I just die?"
"You wanted to die? But you were struggling."
"YES! Yes, I wanted to die! My neck didn't snap, it didn't snap and I was choking, but that was fine too. Why didn't you just let me die?" No more words came anymore, just more tears and sobs as he fell limp in Vaum's grasp.
The male could only stare with a mixture of terror and dumbstruck silence. He really didn't know what to do in this situation. Bruising was already forming around the man's neck so he didn't want to collar him, and he definitely didn't want to stun the poor man. Shaking his head, he opted to bind the human's wrist and ankles -the man didn't even put up a fight- before calling in to the lieutenant.

Grimmjow's vam-com bleeped signaling an in-coming call. He touched the screen and spoke. "Report."
"This is Sergeant Vaum Momec reporting in. I would like to request that I stay in this final home that I have come across. I have only one collar left." The last part was added on as more of an afterthought.
Grimmjow's eyebrow's knitted. "Is there a problem?"
"Yeah, um... when I got to this house, the human here was... attempting to kill himself."
His eyes widened. "What? Why?"
"I don't know yet, he hasn't stopped crying long enough for me to ask..."
Nodding at this information, he looked around. "Permission granted. I'll send someone with suitable medical supplies to check him over."
"Thank you, sir. Vaum, out."
The communicator went off and Grimm carded his fingers through his hair as he looked around. "Hey, Chir, take some medical supplies to Vaum's location."
The man nodded as he messed with his vam-com until it located Vaum. "Did something happen?"
"Yeah, just get there quickly, I'm sure he'll explain when you get there."
"Yes, sir." Chir saluted and darted away with a medkit slung over his shoulder.
Grimmjow watched him go before glancing over toward the house he was keeping for himself; the home of Shiro and Ichigo's sisters and relatives. It was getting really close to sunrise, and he was beginning to consider rounding the familial unit up for transport back to the farm. He nodded to himself. Yeah, it'd been long enough. "Di'Roy."
The ensign next to him snapped to attention. "Sir!"
"You're in charge until I get back."
"Yes, sir."
With a brief nod in his subordinate's direction, he turned and headed for the home. He entered quietly, looking around the room made familiar by the footage from the collar of his and the prince's pets. He knew where everything was already. Where everyone slept already. He headed towards the girls' room first.
The panel door opened on quiet hinges and he looked inside with a small smile on his face. Karin and Yuzu slept together in the large bed of this once guest room. Even in the dark, he could see the patterns in the comforter covering them which was just their seperate comforters sewn together to make one; Karin's side had many varieties of sports equipment covering hers while Yuzu's boasted colorful flowers. Quietly stepping over the little bit of clutter on Yuzu's side of the room, he walked up to the reposing girl.
She didn't wake as he slipped the collar around her throat, and was slow to wake as he pressed his hand over her mouth and gently pulled her from bed. She finally squeaked in fear by the time he had her on her feet. "Sh, sh, sh. Settle down," he whispered to her.
Her eyes were wide with fear, but she obediently quieted.
"I'm going to take you to the living room, and you're going to put on your jacket and shoes and come with me outside, okay." Yuzu began to whimper and her eyes filled with tears. Grimmjow soothed her again and guided her from the room with his hand still keeping her mute. "I'm not going to hurt you."
"What do you want?" she sniffled as she stooped to slip on her sneakers while Grimm loomed over her.
"I'm going to take you to your brothers."
Eyes wide, she looked at him again. She looked hopeful, but not completely convinced.
"Your Ichi-nii and Shiro-nii."
Doubt left her gaze.
Once her jacket was on, he took her hand and led her outside once he grabbed Karin's shoes and jacket; he knew that the other half of the twins would give him trouble. The wind had picked up while he'd been in the house. It didn't bother him much, but Yuzu shivered in her thin nightgown. He reached down and picked her up, crushing her into his hotter body to keep the little girl warm.
"Th-Thanks," she murmured politely as she shielded her face from a fresh blast of cold by shoving it into his shoulder.
He made it to the rendezvous point quickly -it wasn't that far in the least- and opened the door of one of their vehicles before setting her down inside.
"Hey, you there! What are you doing with that human?"
He turned to face whomever had addressed him so rudely in time to see a stern reprimanding face turn into a "oh-shit-that's-the-Lieutenant-" face. He held back the smirk the face made him want to form and growled at the corporal. "You questioning me, Corporal?"
He snapped to attention in front of him. "Sir, no sir."
Grimmjow milked it, getting in the other guy's face and everything. "It sure sounded like it. Well, it's none of your business."
The man swallowed thickly. "Sir, we were specifically told by the Captain that the humans were to be collared and left in their homes, and to not claim any as pets."
"Oh, he did, huh?"
"Yes, sir."
Grimmjow couldn't hold it anymore, he burst into laughter right in the guy's face, slapping his back, and jerking him out of his near-perfect stance. "Just messing with you, corporal."
"Wha-What?"
"What's your name?"
"What?"
"Your name, corporal."
"Uh, Okker Vaush, sir."
"Well, then, Okker, if you really must know-"
He shook his head. "Oh, I don't, I-"
"Let me finish. My special mission was to gather the family of the brothers back at the house." He tugged Yuzu forward. "This is their little sister. Say hi."
A smile touched the edges of Okker's lips as he laid eyes on the doe-eyed girl. "Hello, there."
Yuzu looked warily between him and Okker before finally greeting back in that sweet voice of hers. She whimpered a little when Grimm dragged her closer to the other Queso. "I want you to look after her while I go grab the rest," he said the order in English for Yuzu's benefit.
"Sir, why didn't you just grab them all at once?"
"Cuz there's two women in that house that'll probably need all four of my hands to subdue let alone the male. Besides, it'd be near impossible to get them all here without possibly hurting one of them."
Yuzu gasped. "Please, don't hurt them!"
Grimmjow was hit with a sense of deja vu from her words. He stroked her short brown hair. "Don't worry, I ain't gonna hurt any of you. Now do you want to sit inside the vehicle, or outside?"
Her eyes were pleading. "I don't want to be locked up."
"Outside it is then." He gripped her waist, and made her sit on the floor of the transport with her legs dangling out, her feet unable to touch the ground. He pulled out some gel shackles and affixed them around her ankles with the remark that he didn't want her to get any ideas about running.
She only nodded mutely.
Once done, he handed Karin's shoes and jacket to Yuzu, nodded his head at Okker, and rushed back to the house. It was still quiet when he got there; thank goodness for heavy sleepers. He stalked back to the girls' room and repeated his actions, however she woke as soon as he had his hand clamped over her mouth and reacted much more actively when she fully awoke.
"Mmph!" Karin's scream was muffled as she flailed wildly before gaining control of her panicked limbs and throwing a punch that connected to the very edge of his chin.
Yup, this was Shiro and Ichigo's sister alright.
The thought made him want to laugh, but he steeled himself to get the girl out of the house as quickly and quietly as possible. Once he secured his arms around her, the task got a little bit easier. He eventually made it back to where the transports were and cast a glance at Yuzu and Okker as he carried Karin to a different vehicle. The male had taken a seat on the ground next to the girl and had a hand up gently clasping hers as he talked quietly with her, keeping her as calm as possible. Okker seemed to be good with kids.
Yuzu glanced over at him suddenly and gasped upon seeing her twin. "Karin!" She jerked in their direction, forgetting about her bonds but Okker quickly caught her before she could fall out of the vehicle.
Karin fought a little harder upon seeing her sister much to Grimm's annoyance. He only huffed as he opened the door to the transport behind Yuzu's. He tried to set her down gently, but she jerked at the wrong moment and he ended up slamming her down, it jarred her but she recovered and snatched away.
"Dammit, Karin, you're being so difficult."
"How the Hell do you know my name?!"
Grimmjow growled at her. "I have your brothers."
"You're lying!"
"Are you willing to bet on that? Now, calm down before I have to tie up your little ass."
"I won't make it easy for you."
He scoffed. "No, of course you wouldn't."
At that, Karin swung at him and tried to leap past him and out of the vehicle.
The Queso sighed and stung her.
"Aah!" Karin yelped at the sharp and sudden pain, and flopped to the floor as his venom took effect. He slapped another gel device over her mouth before she could scream before rolling her onto her stomach to bind her wrists behind her back and her ankles together. He hefted her back up easily and laid her on her stomach on a long bench seat inside. She glared angrily at him.
He pointed a sharp finger at her. "Don't look at me like that, you did this to yourself." She growled and he turned to leave, slamming the door shut once he was outside. "Okker, check on this one every so often."
"Yes, sir."
Grimmjow headed back to the house. At the rate he was going, he was getting impatient, and wanted to grab the aunt and uncle at the same time, but he knew that that would be a very dumb idea.
"Hah!"
Grimmjow dodged out of the way of a blade that swung at him the moment he opened the front door, but couldn't manage to get away from the kick that followed. He fell to the ground and rolled to his feet quickly, looking up at his attackers. The uncle wielded a sword expertly while his ebony-skinned wife had only her fists and feet, but that was all she needed.
"Where have you taken our nieces?" Urahara demanded.
Grimmjow rose to his feet. "The same place I'm taking you. Any chance you'll come quietly?"
With another shout, they attacked.
"Yeah, I didn't think so." No more wasting time. He caught the foot heading for his face and stung Yoruichi before tossing her to the side and going after the blond male. Urahara faltered at seeing his wife felled so quickly and Grimmjow exploited that momentary weakness, stinging him and letting him fall. "And now I'm in a bad mood," he grumbled as he snatched the sword from the man and sheathed it in the wooden sheath he was still carrying, turning the deadly weapon back into an innocuous-looking cane. He gathered them up and threw them over his shoulders. "And because you decided to be such a hassle, I'm not getting your shit; you can be cold for all I care."
He was still irritated by the time he made it back to the vehicles, and more men were back after having used up all of their collars. They milled around, talking quietly to each other, boasting about their findings and swapping info about strange or interesting things they'd seen. There was a small group around where he'd left Yuzu. He huffed, but otherwise wasn't worried; the guys were only curious and Okker would keep them from getting too close.
He opened Karin's transport and laid Yoruichi inside. "Stay put," he said -being funny- and continued forward with Urahara still on his shoulder. He heard snippets of what the men were saying to Yuzu.
"So you're a girl then?" someone asked
"Y-Yes," she murmured quietly.
The men chuckled.
"Man, you're adorable. I bet you get that all the time, though," a new voice commented.
"Not really."
"No, huh?"
"Hey, you hungry? I could get you something," someone offered.
There was the sound of a light hit ringing out. "I don't think she wants our nasty field rations."
"I-It's okay, I'm not hungry," Yuzu mediated.
"Can I touch your hand?"
"No." That was Okker.
"Aw, come on."
"I said no. You've been touching humans all night, why do you need to touch her?"
"I was under orders then, I couldn't exactly take a moment to enjoy it."
Grimmjow growled loudly, and the men looked at him before quickly parting to let him through.
"Kissy-oji?" she asked when she saw the blond.
Urahara tried to speak, but Grimm's venom had taken full-effect, leaving his jaw immobile, so all that came out were unintelligible sounds.
When Grimmjow ordered it, Okker grabbed Yuzu, and held her out of the way while Grimmjow set Urahara down and secured him the same way he'd done to Karin. He then hauled the human inside and settled him on a bench leaning up against the wall. He left to do the same to Yoruichi after grabbing up Karin's stuff. Yoruichi was secured and put away before he went to tug Karin's jacket on her, merely wrapping it around her and zipping it up; her shoes were set on the floor off to the side.
Leaving the vehicle and slamming the door, he posted a guard and went back to the first transport to sit down. Now to wait until the prince would come to address the townsfolk.
The sun was on its way to the middle of the sky when the prince arrived with more Quesos in tow -they were the ones assigned to building under the old farm house. With reinforcements there, the others went to gather the humans from their homes. Other than a few rash attempts from some desperate humans, they got the many humans to the large town center and seated with little trouble. The prince was quiet as he looked over them. The Queso soldiers were a considerate bunch it seemed, as many of the humans were dressed for the cold outdoor climate, and small children bundled up in blankets, crying, but warm nonetheless.
With a crook of his finger, a Cerebro engineer shuffled up to him. "How much longer until the field is erected?"
"Not much longer, sire. Maybe 10 more minutes."
"When that is done, erect a smaller one around them meant only to keep them warm; they have children and elderly."
The engineer bowed. "Right away, sire."
As predicted, 10 minutes later there was a loud hum and a crackle as the barrier around the town came on-line, and then engineers returned to build the smaller barrier around the mass of humans. It didn't take as long, and very soon Byakuya saw a few humans remove their coats as they warmed up.
Nearly an hour later, all of the humans able to be transported were sitting on the dirt road before him, and Grimmjow returned from taking the Kurosaki family back to the house. The soldiers were spread out strategically, keeping their eyes on the humans for any resistance as well as to serve as speakers as their vambraces were fitted with a system that would carry Byakuya's voice farther so that all 3600 or so humans would be able to hear him. It was time to begin.
He stood, and the Quesos snapping to attention aided in getting the murmuring humans to go silent.
"Greetings, citizens of Karakura town," he began. "I am Prince Byakuya Kuchiki; heir to the throne of my home world Seireitei, and soon to be ruler of your world."
That statement caused worried and disgruntled murmurs throughout the crowd. It took a moment for them to quiet down again.
"From now on, we control you as well as many of the daily workings of your town, but do not fear, we are fair rulers. Certain freedoms will be stripped from you, however. You are now barred from leaving this town, and your weapons will be taken. Communication with those outside will be limited and monitored."
The crowd got more and more angry and restless as Byakuya continued to lay down the law. With an off hand, he pulled up a screen showing the bio-signs from their collars. Using the information being sent to him, he targeted those who were becoming too hostile, and engaged the "disciplinary" measure.
Pained shouts rung out with the frightened ones as jolts of electricity, specifically design for each person, went through the hostile humans. "The collars you are wearing will be used to subdue you should you try to take arms against us. As you can see, I can target all of you at one time should that be necessary, and most of the soldiers around you now are equipped with the same remotes. I suggest you really think about the consequences before ever thinking to defy us in any way. However, on the other hand, the soldiers are also here to keep you safe."
There were scoffs, but that was to be expected.
Ignoring the annoyed and dubious sounds, he waved a hand and the engineers moved in, sidling up to some of the soldiers. Surprised, some of them broke their stance slightly to look at the engineers before going back to being on-guard statues.
"Those of you with an engineer beside you are receiving a patch denoting you as peacekeepers and watchmen of Karakura. You will remain here to watch over this town."
The engineers pulled out a rigid gel patch and fused it to their gel suits on their left arms just under their rating insignias. The ones who received a patch visibly preened, puffing out their chests a little with pride, while the others were unaffected since they knew that they'd be returned to the farm anyway to continue work on the underground structures.
After more rules and answers to the obvious questions were said, Byakuya allowed the humans to return to their homes and the newly appointed peacekeepers left to watch over them as they returned to their homes. They knew that they'd have to keep close eyes on them for at least the next few weeks, but there was not much else to be done just yet.
But very soon there would be.
The population of Karakura is in reference to the district number that the Shinigami gave to it: 3600.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed and will vote on my poll or at least leave a comment as to how you feel about the change of name. Just a warning, if I receive no response on the matter I'll just change the name from Queso de Cerdo to Qitrudu Zikaru
