I landed on the ground with a loud thud.
"Ugh…" I said while picking myself up off the floor. Soft, plushy grass or not, that still hurt like hell!
Angel giggled behind me. "You really should work on your landing!"
I looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Ya think?"
She continued to giggle her heart out.
I cleared my throat and she immediately stopped. "So, why exactly did you make me jump on a giant blue toadstool?"
"Look around you."
So I did.
How many times in your life do you get to say that you saw a giant bottle pouring purple potion like a waterfall?
Angel shrieked and hid behind me, folding her wings around herself as if trying to create a shield.
"What is it, what's wrong?" I asked. Angel whimpered and pointed in front of me.
I turned and saw what she was pointing at.
"You again? What do you want cat?"
The cat grinned a big, bloody, toothy grin. "Though lacking a bathing costume, a plunge in that pool is in order."
I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow at him. Does he seriously expect me to bathe in strange purple water?
"God on," Angel said, pushing me towards the cat.
"Alright fine," I said, walking up to the spilling water. Putting my hands out in front of me, I splashed the purple water onto me.
"My god! I'm shrinking in this potion! Shall I disappear?" I said as I grew smaller and smaller yet.
"Almost. But the upside is that while smaller you can see things that are nearly invisible to your bigger self," cat said, still grinning that wicked smile.
With just a thought, I grew back to my larger self.
"Yes well, I suppose that makes sense. Short-sighted is more than a matter of perspective."
Cat then vanished into thin air, obviously pleased with himself.
"Question: why are you scared of him?" I asked Angel. She shrugged.
"That smile is creepy. He has blood in his teeth for crying out loud!"
I laughed. She does have a point.
"So what now?" I asked.
"Now, you follow me!" she said excitedly as she spun and shrunk again.
Following her actions, I shrunk as well and stood next to her.
"Whoa. Being tiny is so cool."
Angel giggled. "Agreed."
"Now what?"
"Now, we go through the keyhole in the ground!" Angel said, grabbing my hand as we ran and fell into the keyhole, plummeting straight down.
ok, so not my best chapter. most of it was just dialogue, :/
only 3 reviews for the last chapter? my writing must not be that great then
hoped those of you who have played Alice Madness Returns enjoyed those quotes, which I might add I do not own the conversation between Max and the cat
I have to say, this is the fastest I've updated so, hope that's worth something
any who... Ember out!
