High school is just a chess match. There are always too sides, there is always a long match, and there is always a queen. And a new queen aiming to take her spot. The queen was the most powerful piece on the board. But what Kylie didn't think of, was that every queen needs her king.

I recently met William, Kylie's not so exclusive boyfriend. And I met Courtney Hayes, who seemed to not be the only person who's life was ruined by the current queen bee. Courtney, and her on again off again friend Daniella gave me all the information I needed to know about Kylie George, and her boyfriend.

So when Kylie looked at me with her big eyes and batted her lashes asking me to spill my secrets to the queen, I knew it was time for me to pick sides.

It wasn't hard to think about the choices at hand. Join the queen, or take the thrown.

I spilled everything.

"Everything?" I said innocently, flipping my wavy dark hair.

Kylie laughed, "Yes Jazz come on!"

"Ok ok, well Ashleigh seems like a lost puppy. And Shelby seems sweet, but clueless." I said to her, testing the waters to see what I could say.

But the queen just laughed, "Yes, I know right! Ashleigh is always bugging me and trying to hard to be my friend, and Shelby. Yeah." She shrugged, eyeing me carefully.

I laughed with her, to make sure that it looked like we were just gossiping. Because that's what we were doing, and that's why Kylie does best.

"So why did you invite me over?" I asked her, and she smirked.

"Well, I was thinking. I need new friends, obviously Ash and Shelb are not to my standards. And I was thinking…"

I looked at her before matching her smirk. Courtney, Daniella and I were thinking too. And bad things happen when too many girls start thinking.

"I totally understand." I nodded back to her, with a matching pretty girl smile. I wanted so bad to be popular when I moved here. And it was about to be handed to me. But what was the fun of being a sidekick?

I just got home from Vacation, and as promised here is the next chapter. I think you can start to see what Jazz is thinking, but it may not be what you think. You'll have to read on to see what happens.
