"It seems like it was abandoned a long time ago." Jerry looked around for any other photos and signs of life.
"Tom"
"Did you say something?"
The voice Tom heard did not sound like Jerry. It sounded like a woman's voice.
"Is it time yet, my love? Are we ready?"
"Stop playing around Jerry."
"I'm not doing anything!" Jerry answered him from the other room.
"I heard a voice. Last time I checked you would be the only one with the audacity to call me 'your love'."
"I don't think I ever called you that. I value my life."
"Tom, get out of here! Quickly, take the mouse and escape!"
Why would Tom listen to a voice inside his head? Though he did have a strange feeling in his gut alerting him to danger.
"Jerry, we should leave."
"Just wait a moment. I want to find out what that –"
Before he could finish Tom caught him by the arm and proceed to drag him out. Jerry would have freed himself if not for the panicked face of his companion.
"Run!"
Tom quickened his pace and they barely managed to get out the door when the whole house collapsed.
It was so sudden, their brains had a problem with processing it.
"Well now, what do we have here? Two animal humans who don't know when to die." A deep voice came from their right.
There on the street stood the god of Deception, smirking.
"What are you doing asshole!" Tom yelled but the god remained unfazed.
"It's not me you should be angry at." He said and pointed over the ruined house.
There levitated Nature. Tom and Jerry were taken aback.
"Nature!"
When the goodness turned to them they saw that her eyes were empty. She started flying to them. They had no chance of escaping.
So yeah, I am still alive (although sick and in bed). So we're slowly getting to the end of this story. Baby steps, people!
