Almost done with the chapter, considering it's over 10,000 words long. However, I have been going through a writers block and I would like to get past it through this chapter so I can focus on the next bits. If you have gotten this far, it's about saving the remaining Elements of Harmony featuring Twilight...who didn't see that coming.
However, I didn't want to cheese the chapter and narrate through it in a page. I wanted to write it out to build character development and give readers an atmospheric feel of the situation...which wasn't something I planned for or thought of. Once the chapter is released, keep in mind it was all improved and made up as I wrote it out. Hopefully nothing compromises what I have already and that it makes sense.
Sadly, I had to cut out the part where the good guys save Fluttershy and Rarity for the sake of time. I really had no idea what I was going to do with them considering they are not fighters. Well...Fluttershy might be an exception in some cases. Regardless, try not to be to surprised when they just pop out of nowhere. I will brush over the ideas I had with them in a dialogue but that will be it. I apologize for any Fluttershy or Rarity fans out there.
In the future, I will do my best to have all the cannon characters as involved as possible, it's probably the reason you guys came to this story in the first place. And if I'm breaking character with any of the mane 6 or others, PLEASE TELL ME! I haven't done their characters in a while and I will be rusty when I get back to them again. What makes this story so real to me is that I try to picture what the real mane 6 would do in every situation. There's no sense of accomplishment or point in reading about them if they're just redesigned to fit in the story, it loses it's touch. Twilight might be an exception, considering she will learn to fight soon.
Lastly, thank you all for those that showed me support over my time of doubt. Your words and concern really helped me see that I don't need thousands of followers to feel like I've accomplished something. It's what I have that matters, and I should be thankful for that no matter what. I can't thank you guys enough for giving me and this story a chance. I hope I don't disappoint you.
