"Sherlock!" The Doctor said, coming forward to happily give him a hug. "How have you been?" A silly gin never really left his face.
"Well," Sherlock started, and began to examine him. "Up until now, I've been dead." He wasn't laughing, but the Doctor was. He slapped his shoulder with another chuckle "Good ol' Sherly! How's Hamish?" The Doctor asked, looking over at Irene. "Who's Hamish?" Sherlock questioned, raising an eyebrow. The Doctor grimaced slightly, and spun around. "Sorry! Wrong year!"
Meanwhile, John just sat there, not blinking, not moving. "John?" River asked, her voice sounded concerned, and she waved a hand in front of his face. "John?" She asked again, but still he didn't move.
Sherlock looked at him and rolled his eyes. "He's been doing that since he got here. It's a state of paranormal shock, should wear off soon. Meanwhile, it has the effect of sleeping, he won't remember anything when he comes out of it." He stated, folding his arms. But Irene interrupted him slightly, and walked over to them, "Doctor!" She greeted him with a hug and a smile. "I have to say, I owe you and Sherlock my life. How long has it been now? Two years?" The Doctor just nodded in response, but Irene kept talking. "And who's this?" She asked, pointing at Clara. The Doctor hesitated to answer her question, because River was in the room, and of course, they all knew her, just as Harry, John's sister. "This is Clara, she's my... Assistant." Sherlock shook his head. "No, She's not!" Sherlock interrupted in a singsong voice, then he began to talk really fast, like he always does. "She travels time and space with you yes? A replacement Amy? Yes, but she has feelings for you, because she's fidgeting, and constantly looking over at you. But you on the other hand. You don't like her that way. In fact! You're slightly afraid Doctor, you hesitated before calling her your assistant, because you normally call people your companion, only you hesitated, why didn't you call her your companion, Doctor?" Sherlock question, before noticing the Doctor's eyes flicker over to River. "Oh, I see," He started, examining the facts he had. "John!" Sherlock said, slapping his frozen body on the shoulder. "I'm afraid the Doctor has complicated feelings for your sister."
John had come out of his state of shock but he still couldn't get him self to move. Only his mouth. "Yes, I know, they're married."
"Married?" Sherlock exclaimed, running up to the doctor slapping his cheeks lightly. "Have you gone mad? Wait a minute! How could I have missed that?" He hit his forehead with the palms of his hands. "Stupid! Stupid Sherlock!" Then he took a moment before going mad, and examined them both "Married, but no rings? Why no rings?"
The Doctor smirked and straightened his bow tie. "It wasn't a ring? No, marriages can be done with a piece of cloth, and that piece of cloth, was your bow tie!" Sherlock exclaimed, sitting down, slightly exhausted after that show.
Clara could feel her cheeks turn a bright red, being here felt like a bad idea all of a sudden. "I always fidget." She huffed in her own defense.
Sherlock ignored what Clara had said and folded his hands together. "Now, why are you here?"
The Doctor's face grew suddenly serious. "We need your help."
Sherlock let out a choked laugh. "Well, that's obvious, but for what?"
"Because the universe needs us. Planets are dying, and Loki's threatened to attack again. The Avengers are nowhere to be found. Not only that, but he's teaming up with every monster I ever faced. Any living thing that has had the desire to destroy me. Not only me, but you Dean and Sam too. He's gotten together all our worst nightmares just to call us out."
"And how do you know this?"
The Doctor handed Sherlock the paper he had been reading earlier. "They found a man dead, right by the portal through worlds. No stabs, nothing. His eyes were black, and he was dead."
"How do you know it wasn't a demon."
"Because demons leave once the people are dead. Either this demon didn't leave...Or,"
He trailed off, but Sherlock finished his sentence. "Or Loki's returned." He was looking off into the distance, like something was daunting him. But the Doctor just nodded. "Have you contacting Sam and Dean yet?"
The Doctor shook his head. "That's where we were headed next."
Sherlock nodded, grabbing his coat and scarf. "Why didn't you tell me that in the first place?" His voice sounded somewhat angry, and he hurried off to the TARDIS.
They all followed quickly behind, and Irene was somewhat confused when she entered the TARDIS. "How on earth?-" But Sherlock cut her off. "Don't ask stupid questions Irene!"
River started to drive, turning the monitor towards her, when she turned to the Doctor and asked, "Where are Sam and Dean now?"
The Doctor walked over the the coat rack he kept by the door, and pulled some hair off of it, and handing it to River. "Thank you, Sweetie." She said with a flirtatious smirk, putting the hair he had given her, into a CD like slot, and it closed as the TARDIS took off.
Sherlock groaned, "Honestly, you two aren't going to flirt the entire time, are you?" And It took a moment for him to realize that the Doctor wasn't flying the TARDIS, then he took a double take. "John? Why can your sister fly the TARDIS?" He questioned. John just shrugged. "I was adopted?" He offered with a shrug. Sherlock tiled his head slightly. "If you were adopted then...Who is she?"
River smiled, turning to him with the TARDIS on auto pilot. "Professor River Song, Archaeologist." She shook his hand firmly, and continued to drive.
"You're not Harry?" Irene questioned.
"Well of course I'm Harry, that's just not my real name."
"Why Harry?" Sherlock questioned.
River just shrugged. "It was an inside joke from when we were children." She let out a sigh, never actually getting to grow up with John or her parents, but a smile curled on to her lips when the the TARDIS dinged, telling them they were there. "Ah! Here we are then." She turned to them with a smile.
"What was that noise?" The Doctor questioned.
"What noise?"
"The dinging noise."
"That was the sound of the DNA system telling us we're here."
"Why haven't I ever heard it?"
"Because you leave the breaks on, and it probably covers up the noise dear." She said with a smile and patted his cheek lightly, and she started off by opening the TARDIS doors. "Shall we go then?"
They all nodded, and started coming out of the box, anxious to find out where they were...
