When everyone had gotten in the TARDIS, River proceeded to drive -as always- but this time with the Doctor peering over her shoulder, making sure she did everything the way he did. Though River didn't particularly like having him there, watching. The room was oddly silent.

"Something wrong with my driving, sweetie?" River asked, breaking the silence.

He shook his head. "Just making sure we're going to the right place. After all, it's a tricky place to navigate."

River nodded, a few curls falling into her face. "Yes, that's why I'm driving." A smug smirk had curled its way on to her lips.

The Doctor felt like everyone had their own smug looks after that sassy remark. "Right." He mumbled quietly through gritted teeth.

"And we're here." River stated, pulling the landing lever, and keeping the breaks off. She knew he hated it.

"Are you positive?" The Doctor asked, slipping his hand into the pocket of his jacket.

"Of course I am."

"I'm sorry than." He pulled a pair of handcuffs from his pocket, and handcuffed her to the console.

"Wha-?" River whined, slightly in astonishment.

"I told you you're not going!" He made his way towards the door, and Sherlock, Sam, and Dean, followed. "Not a foot outside this door!" The Doctor warned.

The doors closed, and they could hear the sound of the doors locking. The Doctor made it sound like a car.

River was quickly pulling a bobby pin from her hair, and working on the lock to the handcuffs. After messing with them for a while, she stomped her foot with a groan, and an extra bobby pin in her mouth. But the lock finally clicked open, and She crossed her arms, running around the console, digging through boxes and things. He really should tidy this place up. She thought to herself, when she noticed everyone was watching her.

"What exactly are you looking for?"

River had to look up for a moment, getting her head out of one of the boxes, to realize Clara was talking. "Sorry, do you mind repeating that again?"

"What are you looking for?"

River smiled, picking up a small item that almost looked like a Jammie Dodger. "Just this." Her smile showed triumph, as she hurried towards the door.

"And what's that?" Clara tilted her head slightly in curiosity.

"My old man always keeps a spare in the TARDIS. My key wouldn't work on the type of lock he used."

"So you're leaving than?" Irene piped up.

River nodded.

"But the Doctor said-!" Clara huffed, but River interrupted her.

"The Doctor is the Doctor. He says what he does to save the lives of others, but he's too stupid to save his own."

"I really don't think it's a good idea." John added.

"Never is darling." River continued to the door with a smirk, about to press the button, then stopped, turning to look at them. "The Twilight Zone isn't what the Doctor thinks it is. It can drive people mad, but not always. Sometimes, it's just there to help. But it's also where I was raised after the Silence took me away. No one knows the Twilight Zone better than me." She paused for a moment, her heart swelling when she remembered the days of training, training to kill the Doctor. "But there's one problem, everyone has a Twilight Zone of their own based on their worst nightmares, or their greatest thoughts. It all depends on who you are."

"When you were here before, which did the Twilight Zone use to effect you?"

River smirked, her heart growing heavy. "Spoilers."

She finally hit the button, opening the door, then stepping outside into the pitch darkness.

The doors shut with a gust of wind, as the TARDIS doors locked once again.

They looked at each other blankly.

"Did she just-?" John questioned

"Yeeaahh." Clara responded quickly.

The Doctor, Sherlock, Sam and Dean, had already split up. Not intentionally of course. Sherlock ran into Moriarty, Sam and Dean ran into their father, and the Doctor had run into River.

Of course, one of these things is not like the other.

What Sam, Dean, and Sherlock had seen, weren't real. It's what the Twilight Zone wanted them to see, and the Doctor was convinced that's what River was too.

"No, my River is back in the TARDIS, my River would never have done something so stupid!" He pointed at her, anger in his eyes.

"Honestly, you thought a pair of handcuffs could hold me. Sweetie, you should know better by now." She sassed back, although she was slightly offended by his words.

"See? That's what my River would say! That's what this place does to you! Can't you see?!" He yelled, tears threatening to spill over.

She put a hand to his cheek, cupping his face, and leaned forward to whisper something in his ear, that sent his eyes flying open.

It was her!

"But- But- How-?"

"You're not the only one who has a relationship with the TARDIS, sweetie." A smirk curled on her lips as she watched his jaw drop. "Where are the others?" She asked with a quirked eyebrow.

He just shrugged. "Sherlock was mumbling something about Moriarty, and Sam and Dean were yelling something about their dad." River shook her head quickly, before he even finished talking. "No, you were right. That is what this place does to you, if you're not experienced."

The place was pitch black. Nothing around to be seen or heard, or even thought. Sometimes that's what the Twilight Zone does to you. It steals your thoughts, your sight, anything that makes you feel vulnerable. "Quick!" River was grabbing her sonic screwdriver from her boot, pointing it around. "Happiest thought. If this place makes you feel scared, you will be. It takes your thoughts and puts them into a reality. You have to stray away from all your nightmares." The Doctor was somewhat confused by her words. "How do you-?"

She just shook her head, interrupting him. "It's not my first time in the Twilight Zone. I was brought up here by the Silence." She stated blatantly.

Shouldn't have said that. She thought to herself.

And she was right. The smile dropped right from the Doctor's face at the thought of losing her to the Silence.

"I wish I could have saved you that day." He said sadly.

She shook her head vigorously. "No, Sweetie, happy thoughts. You did what you could."

"No, I could have prevented it!" His voice raised an octave, and River was starting to get worried.

Here we go. She said inside her head.

Soon, a Silence appeared around them, then another, and another, and River knew what she had to do. She knew guns wouldn't work on them, she'd tried that the day she turned five. She lunged forward engulfing the Doctor in a soft kiss, in which he seemed slightly surprised, but didn't complain.

After a few minutes, the silence disappeared slowly. River took a step back, pulling her hand up, and slapping him hard on the cheek, and the Doctor rubbed it, trying to get the red off of it. "What was that for?" He squeaked. "Maybe next time you'll listen to me when I say 'think happy thoughts'." She put the sonic back in her boot, only to look up and realize where they were. They were in area 52, the very top of the pyramids.

"This is happy thoughts for you?" She said in a shrill voice.

He shrugged, a slight grin creeping on to his lips. "Well, It was the day we got married."

She glared at him. "It was also the day you made me watch you die, twice."

He nodded, seeing she was getting slightly angry. "Right. My bad. Happy thoughts dear, focus."

She rolled her eyes. "Let's just find the others."
