"You 3 look cute. I assume that this is your son? Isn't it?" The cashier said.
"Ummm, actually," Aria was about to say something.
"Well, everyone is coming to see your little kid. Here, let me give you the hats." The lady in the cashier said.
"Oh! Thank you!" Ezra smiled.
"Well, thank you for coming in here also. I hope you enjoyed your day."
The two of them said goodbye to the lady but when they turned around, Malcolm wasn't behind them.
They quickly ran outside to see if he's there but they couldn't see him anywhere.
"Ezra!" where is he?" Aria continued to scan over the crowd.
"He's 'gotta be around here somewhere."
"Excuse me, have you seen a little boy wearing a blue shirt? Uhh, he's about 7 years old." Ezra approached a lady passing by."
"Sorry, no" the lady replied.
They looked for him for about five minutes and decided to seek help on the zoo's office.
"Ezra, I'm really sorry. I wasn't paying attention, I should've just-" Ezra cut her off.
"No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have made a relationship with Maggie from the start, and get you involved in the first place." Ezra held her hand tight, "Sorry."
Just as they were about to knock on the office's door, Ezra's phone rang. he looked at it and saw that it was coming from an anonymous call.
"Who might that be?" Aria asked him.
"I don't know." he put the phone on his ears,"Hello?" at first, all Ezra could hear was the sound of a person breathing. until a tiny voice came up.
"Daddy?" Ezra froze. It was Malcolm's voice.
"There it is, I just thought that you wanted to hear your son."
"Maggie?" Ezra looked at Aria's eyes.
"Hi there! I was scared you won't recognize me."
"Where the hell did you take my son?" he was beginning to tense.
"Don't worry. I just want to spend some time with him." she said with an annoying tone.
"Answer my question Maggie."Aria was calming him.
"You used to be of so much fun. how abo-"
"ANSWER ME!" Ezra shouted at the phone.
"Okay Fitz, wait for my instructions." and Maggie hung up.
"Ezra... was that... her?" Aria tried to look at him in the eyes.
"Yes. that was Maggie." Ezra walked, now going to his car.
"What did she want?"
"I don't know. she said that I should wait for her call."
Aria and Ezra got into the car and drove away from the zoo. Aria was getting nervous and much more, when she felt that Ezra was speeding up.
"Ezra! slow down! where are we going?"
"To my lawyer." he said, not even taking his eyes off the road.
"I don't think that Maggie wants that."
"Aria, I need to this. it's my son. My responsibility, not yours. You've done enough. thanks." Aria stayed quiet on the whole drive.
Ezra was talking with the lawyer while Aria decided to wait outside. Aria was feeling confused and nervous. she decided to talk to someone. someone who will hear her out. someone that might know what to do. Spencer. She was right about choosing her, because Emily is busy with swim practice and Hanna is currently with Caleb.
She need not to wait because after she dialled the number, Spencer's voice came in.
"Hey there!" greeted Spencer.
"Hey" Aria was starting to tear up.
"Wait, are you alright? what's wrong? I thought you were having fun with your boys?"
"Malcolm was taken by Maggie."
"Wait, what!? tell me exactly what happened."
After telling the whole thing to Spencer, Aria was feeling a bit well.
"And you're both their now- at the Lawyer?"
"Yes"
"could you give me the address? I'll go there." Spencer said. after citing the address, they both hung up and Aria sat there, waiting for Ezra and Spencer.
After talking to the lawyer, Ezra walked out of the room and figured that he needed a coffee. "Aria? why don't we go and get some coffee first while wai-" But Aria wasn't there anymore. he looked around the whole building but, there was no sign of her, and her phone wasn't responding. Moments later, he saw Spencer, walking down the hallway.
"Hey, is Aria with you?" Ezra asked her immediately.
"What? uhh, no, I thought she was with you. she called me and I came for her."
Ezra sat helplessly at the chair, and only said, "Maggie"
