We walked until midnight. "Sleep" Sesshomaru says and jumps into the tree. I smile and I throw my bag up and scramble to a branch that is below him.

I tried to sleep for a while, but it never came. So, with the light from the moon I opened the book Kaede had given me, and read:

"Rin, since you reading this it means I am most likely dead, or dying. I want you to understand how to be a Priestess even when I am gone. So, here it is. (She goes on to pictures of herbs and what they can do) Remember these child, for the will come in handy somewhere." I flipped the page "Now, I am sure ye are curious about the bow. It is carved from the tree of heavens. The Tree of Heavens is a tree that is pure white. Ye arrows are carved from there to, ye will come to find that if ye leave an arrow, it will return to the quiver, try it if ye like. No matter where it is place it will return. Ye arrow cannot be broken by ordinary means either. Anyway, ye don't want to listen to my old ramblings so I will get on with it. The bow arrows and even ye quiver, will all build up spiritual power as ye do. Also, ye may come to find that ye are the only one who may shoot it and demons or anyone else for that matter, Lord Sesshomaru included, may NOT touch it. It is sacred. Now if ye were to turn into a demon, which I highly doubt, ye would still be able to wield it, only it would go through a metamorphosis, and will turn to the Tree of Hell. Which is pure black, and then ye would still be the only one who wields it. It is completely loyal to whomever it so chooses and it chose you.

I flip the book closed. My eyes feel heavy now, so I put the book back in my bag and climb up to Sesshomaru. I wrap my arms around his waist and lay my head on his chest, he is so warm, was my last coherent thought as I drifted off into a deep dreamless sleep.

When I wake up I am looking into Sesshomarus' eyes. I nearly jump out of the tree, and I would have to if he hadn't caught me...

"You okay" he asks. I smile at him and I carefully climbed down the tree grabbing my bag and quiver, with my bow and arrows in it, as I climb down, while he just jumps.

Of course, me being me, I slip at the last little jump. (Me: he he, gotta love clumsiness)

When I don't feel the impact I cautiously open one eye. Sesshomaru had caught me, I let out a sigh. He sets me down as I blush from embarrassment.

I pick my stuff up of the ground and secured my quiver against my back before throwing my bag over my shoulder on top of it. I am well rested, however I am getting hungry I think as we start walking. We walk for about an hour and I am downright starving, still I don't complain, it could be worse. We come by another village and Sesshomaru said, "Go get something." I frown at him, but go in anyway. Of course I have money, actually I have a lot of it, I like going around and preforming exorcisms with Miroku, it was a profitable business, and a rip-off…

I walk in and find a fruit stand and buy apples, pears, and plums.

I thank the lady and was going to leave when I saw a man selling kimonos...

I am a girl; I cracked and went over to check it out.

I saw quite a few I liked. A cut pink and green kimono, pink over, green on frills at the bottom that cut off near the bottom of my thighs, with a flower attached to my waist and a flower pattern all over the top half of the Kimono, and the sleeves are my absolute favorite part, they are removable, but look so perfect, like they belong there. I pick it and the fan that is included up; I find a few more and pay for them. I fold everything up and put it in the bag.

I walk out the village I sense Sesshomaru and run over to him. I sit next to him and pull out some of the food, biting into a pear. "You want one" I ask, already knowing the answer, but not caring.

"I don't eat human food" he replies with a sigh, I giggle.

"Oh, I know, I just wanted to ask. Hey can you tell me about the kingdom you have started to build?"

He sighs, "It is full of demons, and unsafe for you, so be careful"

"Why"

"You die easily"

"I won't die, I have you looking out for me after all, remember, you followed me to the underworld at one time, I trust you Sesshomaru." He just gives me a blank look, and I smile.

"Are you ready to go?" he asks standing up.

"Mhmm"

By the time the sun starts to set we get to a clearing; it is blooming with flowers, and reminds me a lot of the fields I used to play in. Sesshomaru waves his hand and a portal opens. He takes my hand and pulls me in; we came into a village. There are demons training everywhere, I see a few curios glances, but no one says anything. "Can I look around?" I ask him. He handed me Mokomoko and walks away. I wrap it around my shoulders, and I walked off to the stables, where I sense AH-UN.

When I see AH-UN in the back, I hear "You must be new." I turn around, calmly to meet the gaze of a male dog demon about my age, maybe never could tell with demons, and looked around.

"Yeah" I say after a few minutes.

"So, you interested in riding horses? Passes the time here." he said

"Uh… No, not really" I say.

An older looking boy, maybe a teenager says, "Do whatever, just don't go near the dragon. He kills someone else and I am going to get in trouble."

"What do you mean kill?" I asked inching closer to AH-UN, I knew it would have been more logical to move away from him, but I trusted AH-UN more than them, after all I grew up around him...

"Yeah, killed a couple of kids who were messing with him." the older boy answers.

"Maybe he was provoked." I say defending AH-UN.

They looked at me like I was stupid. A girl came in and said, "You're to close get away from the dragon."

"Whoa; when did you get that close?" the younger one asks shocked.

The girl started to walk over to drag me away, but I dive for AH-UN. They all freeze and look at me shock clear in their faces, I land by the cage.

The girl tried to come to get me, but AH snapped at her. "Girl, get away quickly..." she said in a low voice, but you could tell she was going to hurt AH-UN.

"No, leave them alone." I say menacingly.

UN sets his head on my shoulder and AH is glaring at them.

"RIN" Jaken yells running into the stables.

"Master Jaken, nice to see you" I say happily smiling at him.

"M-Master." the 3 bowed to the ground." Girl, get down or face his wrath." One of them hisses.

"Oh, shut up," Jaken growls, "I see you found AH-UN."

"Yes" I giggle.

I climb over the gate and swing into the pen. AH nuzzled my cheek. UN pushes me with his forehead.

I giggle patting them. "Oh, Jaken can you show me around... I didn't want to bother Sesshomaru?" I ask. I heard those kids scoff.

"Sure, come on." Jaken said.
