When Emma woke up, she felt like it was that moment all over again. Then moment she realized she was married, the difference being that there was a noticeable pain between her legs and she remembered a lot more of it. "Hello darling." Gold said, coming in carrying a large tray. "How did you sleep last night."

"Not to good, my idiot husband kept waking me up." She said raising an eyebrow.

"Well I didn't either, my dumb wife woke me up a few times too."

"How late is it?"

"2:30 P.M."

"Wow."

"Yes, well that's what happens when you force a man to make love to you 42 times over the course of ten hours." Gold said setting the tray in front of her. "Of course the 27 times you got me made up for it."

"Well, sounds like you got the short end of the stick." She said teasingly.

"I wouldn't say that, I had a great time." Gold said taking a strip of bacon. Then looking concerned, he asked. "Did you have a good time?"

"42 times wasn't enough of an answer?" Emma asked.

"You were a little drunk."

"So were you."

"I just want to make sure you have no regrets."

Emma nodded understandingly, assuming her memory was trust worthy; he had some problems when love was involved. "No Gold, no regrets, take backs, or urges to leave you. If you want the truth, you are the best I've ever had." Gold perked up at that, looking rather proud. "Don't let it go to your head, my experience is rather lacking, especially recently."

"Let an old cripple take what he can get Emma."

"Oh, your not that old."

"Old enough to not be a chick magnet."

"Oh I wouldn't be so sure." Emma said winking. And then Emma's cellphone rang. "Hello?"

"Emma." It was Ruby. "I'm so glade I got a hold of you, there is this giant scary bald man driving around in the cruiser, and no one had herd from you since the funeral."

Emma half laughed. "No Ruby, that is Dove my deputy, and I'm with Gold on…"

"Gold! You're with Gold! Did he kidnap you, if you're in trouble I can call for help."

"No Ruby, we're on our Honeymoon, and I'm fine. So far Gold has only tied me up and had me 42 times while whipping me." Emma heard the plate drop in the background; she would give anything to see her face right now. Emma then started laughing.

"Emma, you were joking, right?" Ruby asked, still not sure what the laughing meant.

"Yes, Ruby he didn't tie me up."

"Oh that's good." Ruby said relaxing, but then she thought of something. "But what about the 42 times?" And all Ruby got for a response was a chuckle from Emma and her hanging up.

"Tied you up, really?" Gold said. "And whipping."

"Do you have a problem with the idea that Ruby would have thought you are an evil man who tied me up and had your way with innocent little me?" Emma said smiling in a way that was anything but innocent.

"No, but we do have your handcuffs and if you keep talking like that, I might just make it so Ruby wouldn't be lying if she said that." Gold said, greatly enjoying their game.

"But you don't have a whip. What about that?"

"I have a belt, and a hand." Gold said smiling evilly. "So if I were you, I'd be very carful what you wish for." They both laughed, but then Emma suddenly stopped and looked scared. "What is it Emma?" Gold asked instantly concerned.

Emma was staring off into space. "I'm in Trump Tower, a hotel I never thought I'd ever stay at, I'm married, another thing I never saw coming, and now I am making bondage sex jokes with my husband the town monster, after probably scaring the town gossip for life with the same jokes." She then looked at him. "My world has flipped upside-down more times in the past month or so then it did when I was pregnant with Henry, and the strangest thing is, I like it."

"Well, is the problem that you like it, or that you don't hate it."

"I don't know. Every time I think about this situation, it ended with me getting the marriage annulled within ten minutes of learning it happened. Every time it doesn't it involves you being a total jerk and me killing you late at night, and then the town building a statue in my honor." Emma said smirking at the way Gold was keeping an eye on the steak knife now. "But you've been nothing short of kind while I've been less then great."

"May be I'm just luring you in to a false since of security."

"Maybe. And then there are things like Ashley's baby, you wanted to take her, I wouldn't let you, but you still paid for her hospital bills."

"We had a deal, I would help with any baby related expenses and some of the cost of living for those nine months."

"But she tried to cheat you."

"Yes, but you covered her debt, so I still upheld my end."

Emma smiled, thinking that in a way he had been more honorable in some ways then Ashley, but then a thought came to her. "I never did find out, why did you want that baby?"

Gold took a deep breath, obviously thinking about how he wanted to respond, or whether he should. "Many years ago, I had a live in maid, Belle."

"The same one you loved, and who relationship ended the worst?"

"Yes, she was a clumsy, day dreaming, accident waiting to happen, book worm. And I loved her dearly, she worked hard, though she was often distracted by my book collection, and she had had a hard life. The thing she had wanted most was a child to care for. Then Sean's father approached me wanting to make sure that if a child resulted from his son's relationship, I would be on retainer to help remove it from their care." Emma gasped.

"Honestly I wanted to punch the man for treating his own grandchild like that, but I had to agree that the position of it being raised in some hole in the wall apartment with parents working constantly to make end's meat, well, maybe my intervention would have helped. Later I learned that the inevitable happened, a baby was conceived and everyone dropped Ashley like a hot rock, so I arranged the adoption." Gold then looked sad and quiet.

"You were going to adopt the baby out to Belle weren't you?"

"More or less, I was going to give the baby to Belle as a gift, maybe an engagement present of sorts, but before the child was even a thought, I was led to believe she was working with Regina to destroy me." Gold said, growing angry. "You can imagine how I felt and acted." He then began to talk like what he was saying was unbelievable, "After all, a beautiful young woman who loved me was impossible, no woman, young, beautiful of otherwise had ever loved me, crippled, rich, or not. So I threw her out." He was now very sad.

"I was miserable after that, my heart was broken and everything hurt. I don't know to this day how long it was, all I have to go on is the bill for alcohol. But one day Regina came to my door, trying hard not to skip around singing with glee. She came to tell me that Belle was dead, that after coming home her father abused her and in the end she tried to kill herself by jumping out a one story window." Emma gasped at that.

"But you can't kill yourself from a fall like that."

"You can if you land just right to break a rib and have it put a hole in your lunge. Regina gave me the full treatment, she used the fact that I wanted to put her father behind bars for forever and an eternity to make me lessen as she described in graphic details every cut, abrasion, bruise, everything that was considered a pre-mortem injury and how it had probably been inflicted. After that she went on to tell me how she had died slowly and in extreme pain, how she would have slowly faded away into the darkness all alone." Gold was obviously trying to not break down in tears now. Emma would have asked him to stop, but she could tell this was the first time Gold had probably told anyone this, it might be the first time he had every properly grieved.

"Did you get her father?" Emma asked holding him.

"No." Gold's answer stunned Emma. "Regina made sure it never came to court. Something to do with a technicality with the good sheriff not reading him his Miranda rights. I would have killed the man myself, but she wouldn't have wanted that, and slowly draining him of all his money and positions is more fun, my plan was then when Ashley had the baby to name her Belle or Rose if it was a girl or Chip or Robin if it was a boy, kind of raise he or she in honor of her."

"And now you can't." Emma said, feeling sad for the first time about what she did, Gold must have realized.

"Don't be upset, I've been a father before and at least a father figure three or so times. You spared me from the crying and late nights." Gold said, chuckling, and then crying. Emma put the tray to the side and held him. Gone was the monster of the town, and what was left was a man who had been kicked by the world a few times to many. After the crying subsided, the holding became snuggling, which turned into kissing, which turned into other activities.

It was around 9:00 A.M. when Gold and Emma decided that they had spent enough time in the bed room. Gold was limping a bit more than normal, and Emma had bight marks and bruises in a few places, and she need to figure out a good reason for why her wrists hurt, and poor Gold's hand was sour. They decided to take a walk through Central Park, it was a cool day, and so with coats and gloves, they began their trip. It was nice in the park, there were children running around, carts with food, teenagers daring one another to go out on a frozen pond. "One of them is going to fall in." Emma said.

"Well, my wife always said it would be better they die now then spread their stupidity on ward through the generations." Gold said with a small chuckle

Emma looked at him. "Something tells me thoughts weren't her exact words."

"They might have been more pointed at me." Gold said chuckling again. "You know, my wife wished I was dead almost every day of our marriage, she would insult me in every way imaginable, and this moment, this very moment here with you could very well be the first time ever I have even slightly joked about how she treated me. The first time I feel something other than hate at those memories."

"Well I'm glad I could be here for such a grand moment." Emma said thoughtfully. She then took his hand and they walked in silence for a few minutes. "I'm almost afraid to ask, and you don't need to tell me if you don't want to, but you never did tell me about Cora." Gold looked at her confused. "When you were talking about the people you loved, you said you were romantically involved with her."

Gold sighed again. "You might as well know. Cora was a very poor millers daughter." Emma looked confused. "Yes, a mill, as in a grain grinder into flower miller, with a drunken father and no mother; she worked hard, and had nothing to show for it. One day she stole a dress and sunk into a party for the son of the rich land owner, and danced with said son. The father was none too pleased, noticing the straw on her dress, he ordered her to leave. She foolishly claimed that she knew of a way to fix all of his money problems, but for insulting her she wouldn't help. The man who wasn't a fool called her out on it, and not wanting to be publicly humiliated, got in over her head."

"What did she do?" Emma asked curiously.

"She didn't back down, so the man made her a bet, if she could do what she claimed, he would let his son marry her, but if not, well, he wouldn't kill her, but living would have become a lot harder, if not impossible. I was there when he announced the bet; I decided I would help her, in exchange for her owing me a few favors. To make a very long and annoying story short, I developed feelings for her, so much so that I changed our agreement. She then, quite literally at the last minute before we were going to run away broke things off with me. She married the man the next day, and about nine months later, they had a daughter."

"Wow, you were going to go off the day before her wedding." Emma said astounded.

"She figured it would be fun to have her soon to be father-in-law pay for a big wedding and the dress and all that, have his friends give her lots of things, and the take everything and leave them in the dust."

"Wow, did you ever get back at her?"

"I helped her daughter get rid of her." Emma gave him a look. "Not kill Cora, just remove her from her daughter's life, which was after she killed her daughter's secret fiancé." Emma gasped. "The poor boy was too poor for her liking though it was never proven Cora had anything to do with his death."

"What happened to her daughter after that?"

"She married a rich man, he died under highly questionable circumstances, and now she is the mayor of the town." Gold said, laughing at the way Emma's eyes went wide as dinner plates.

"Yo…You…Y…Yu…You were, with. Regina's. M…o…m." Emma said, trying to process the information.

"Apparently the genes that make you a bit of a bitch are hereditary. Regina doesn't know I was ever with her mom. And frankly you are the only person alive today other then myself who knows that we were together." Gold said laughing. "In my defense, I was a lonely man who was being bedded by a rather good looking young woman. My son was gone, and after everything else, I just wanted someone who I could love, and I was drinking a little more then I probably should have."

"Well." Emma said. "Believe it or not I understand. Had I not been pregnant and in jail, I would have probably turned to booze and sex after what happened with Neal." Emma said, she then realized what she had said, and looked to see Gold giving her a very small smile. "Fine, yes his name was Neal. And just so you know, you are also the only person who knows what his name is, or the circumstances of us being together and our break up."

They walked in silence after that, thinking over what the other had said, still holding hands, even when they had to break apart, they would always come back together. Emma in the middle of thinking how sweet it was when Gold spoke. "Emma, would you mind running over to that cart and getting us a hot chocolate?" Gold said.

"Sure." Emma walked over to the cart, a good 30 feet away. It took the man a few minutes to get the drink made, but it tasted good. When Emma got back to where they were standing however, Gold was nowhere to be seen. She looked down the path both ways, at every bench, drinking fountain, and even in the tops of trees, you can never tell with Gold. "Gold, where are you?" Emma yelled.

"Are you looking for someone lady?" A young man of about 19 asked.

"Yes, my husband."

"He is one stupid man if he lost you." The man said laughing. "What does he look like?"

"About my height, brown hair with a little gray, where's a suit and has a cane."

The young man looked thoughtful for a moment, and then looking past Emma for a moment said. "Um, fair warning, you might want to let me take the drinks from you now." He said grabbing onto the bottom of the cups of hot chocolate and taking them from her.

"Uh, why?" Emma asked confused.

"Oh, no reason really, just a hunch." He said, nodding toward whatever was behind her. When Emma looked, she was glad he had taken the cups.

"Hello, I'm looking for a fair maiden of which to have come with me on a ride over yonder hill, for adventure, glory, hopefully not death." Gold said, holding his cane like a sword as he rode a very big, very black horse. "Would you like to accompany me, my dear?" Then an equally big, but white horse came up behind him, and them man ridding it jumped off.

"Where the hell did you get horses?"

"It turns out that there are a few stables in the park where you can rent a horse for a ride. And if Henry is right, then I'd say you're overdue for a lesson. So, shall we?"

"Hay, if you don't want to go for a ride, I will." The man said.

"Who's this?" Gold asked.

"Just some guy who was trying to help me find you, and the one who took our drinks so I wouldn't drop them from shock." Emma said. And with help from the man who had been riding on the horse, Emma managed to get on. "I'll take the hot chocolate back now please." Emma said, the man then handed them up to her.

"Mr…" he said.

"Gold." Gold replied.

"Mr. Gold, a word of advice, if I were you, I'd be very careful about letting this one out of your sight, she's quite a keeper. Defiantly way out of your league."

"Well then Mr…"

"Jacob, Samuel Jacob."

"Well Mr. Jacob, let's be honest. The simple truth is, she is defiantly way out of both of our leagues, and just about every other man here."

"Very true sir, very true." And with that Samuel left.

"Well he seemed like a nice young man." Gold said.

"You were both wrong you know." Emma said.

"Really, about what?"

"I may be out of his league, but I'm not so sure about you, after all, I did marry you."

"Which says a lot about your intelligence, self image, and most of all about why you shouldn't drink so much?" Gold said, they then both went riding around the park.

"So what did you mean by the 'if Henry is right' comment?"

"You're the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, yes?"

"Yes." Emma said.

"Well then, everyone knows that royalty must have lessons in horseback riding. How else can you look graceful and actually move at the same time."

Emma through back her head and laughed. "I have no idea." And then she got her horse to run faster. "Race you!" She yelled.

And they raced, galloped, trotted, and walked their horses. And Emma could not remember a happier moment.

After the horseback riding 'lesson', Emma and Gold went and had lunch at Planet Hollywood. The meal was wonderful, and after Emma begged Gold and promised the picture would never be seen by anyone other then herself, Henry, and maybe, a big maybe Mary Margret, Gold let her take a picture of him in front of the restaurant, with a Planet Hollywood T-shirt and hat on. And then they went to Rockefeller center. It was a beautiful building, truly beautiful. The tree was huge, the Angles standing with their trumpets, the tree itself had a billion lights, there seemed to be more red then any other, followed by just the right amount of blue, and a bit of green. The yellow was hard to see, but if you looked very close, you could see it clearly. Emma wanted to go ice skating, she hadn't in years, and so Gold let her.

Gold watched as she went around and around the ring, she looked like and angle herself, with all the people going around, they had kicked up a lot of ice, and you could see it landing on her black coat, scarf, and gloves, it was a breathtaking sight. The best moment was when he could see her smile; she had a very pretty smile, and one she didn't where often enough. "Head up!" Bang.

Gold had been so busy watching Emma, he hadn't noticed the teenager come hurtling towards him. "I am so sorry. Are you ok?" the young girl asked.

"Depends, did they get the umber of that truck." Gold said, suddenly becoming painfully reminded why he needed that cane.

"I am so sorry, the ice and I don't seem to get along." The Girl tried to help him up and get him over to a bench, but with blades on, it didn't go well.

"Here, let me help." Said a familiar voice. "Mr. Gold?"

Gold looked up. "Mr. Jacob, thank you that would be helpful." The young man helped him and the girl get up. "What are you doing here?"

"Watching Nina, I'm kind of a body guard, of course if you ask me it's just a nice way of saying babysitter."

"Really, and do you guard the young lady from others, or others from her?"

"Both really, and on the ice only more so, I've yet to meet someone who can be this bad that tries so be good so much."

"Hay, for the record I lasted longer then normal." Nina said, pretending to be mad.

"Yes, and then you ran into a guy with a cane."

"I said I was sorry, and how do you know this guy anyway?"

"I met his wife Emma in the park while she was looking for him, he had gone to get horses to give her a surprise riding lesson."

"And were is this lucky lady, to have the attention of two such wired men?" Nina asked laughing.

"She is right here." Emma said. "And for the record, they are only a little wired."

"I think they've forgotten we're standing right here Gold."

"Well, your standing, I'm sitting waiting for the pain to go away so I can properly yell at Nina."

"What happened?" Emma asked, she hadn't seen any of the crash, she just notice that Gold was talking with Samuel and a young woman and looked like he was in pain.

"Nina, the young lady who thinks I'm wired, was attempting to skate. She failed at her task and ran head first into me. And Mr. Jacob here, her bodyguard or babysitter depending who you ask helped me get to this very uncomfortable bench."

"Well, I guess I'll have to kiss it better." Emma said, bending down to kiss Gold's knee

"Are you all right Emma? You're kissing a guy old enough to be your father." Nina said.

"And you never kissed your father?" Emma asked.

"Nope, never met the man."

"Well, because he's my husband I'm aloud to kiss him." Emma said, laughing for some reason.

"Yes, and you young lady should look sad that you ran into an old man, not be pestering his wife about weather or not he's to old for her." Gold said, trying to sound angry, but Emma knew he was finding it funny as well.

"Well it was nice seeing the two of you again, have a wonderful trip. And Nina, lets go, your mother will turn me to ash if your late, and we don't need a law suit for you running into more people."

"Fine fine, by Mr. Gold, and by Emma." She said. "And if you want my advice Emma, remember that you're far to good for him."

"Nina!" Samuel and Emma both said with mostly fake shock.

But Gold came to her defense. "Don't worry, that is something we can both agree on." Gold said. Then they left, end he and Emma were left alone. "So, what do you want to do now?"

"We could go back to the hotel. Order Dinner and a movie." Emma said.

"That sounds wonderful." Gold said looking at his watch. "We have just enough time to eat and get ready."

"Ready for what?"

After returning to the room, Emma found Dinner waiting for them, and a long black dress for her, and a tux for Gold. They eat and then got ready.

The dress was sparkly; it was strapless, with a see through back that stopped above her left knee, and then went diagonally down to about ¾ of the way down her calf. There was a pearl necklace with a small diamond on the front. A few minuets of makeup and her hair pulled back, Emma was breathtakingly beautiful. Gold even got her a pair of black heels and black ballet flats, saying he knew she might not like the heels.

When Emma came out, Gold just looked at her. "I honestly can't tell, do I want to take you out to a show, or take you out of that outfit."

"Well you could do both if you patient enough." Emma said smiling. She then turned around once slowly for Gold, and was very pleased by his reaction, she then came up and hugged him.

"I hope you realize how hard that will be, especially if you keep doing things like that."

Emma laughed and then put whispered in his ear. "All the more reason to keep going." Emma then kissed him and went out the door, "I'll meat you by the elevator." And she looked as great leaving as she did coming in.

The show they saw was 'The Phantom of the Opera' on Broadway, Emma had a great time, and when they left the theater, there was an army of people with bicycle carriages ringing bells do get people's attention. Emma managed to convince Gold to try it, so $20 and a half an hour later, they were back at the hotel. Gold was trying to get out; when a bit of ice on the ground caused him to slip. Next thing Gold knew, he was out of the carriage, but was on the ground with his bad leg under him. Emma helped him get up, and they slowly, and very painfully, got him in the elevator and up to the room.

Emma managed to gut Gold out of his tux and into the Jacuzzi tub; ten minutes later she came back with a robe on. "I'm sorry Emma; I wanted this to be a romantic night without us being drunk."

"Well, it could be worse."

"Really, how do you figure that?"

"Most of my other dates have ended in the guy being arrested for jumping bail; ours has ended with you naked in the bath after falling and hurting yourself."

"Yes, but I wanted it to end with being naked in bed, showering you with attention."

"I think we can manage." Emma said smiling as she took the robe off. Neither of them left the bathroom for a long time.
