I know haven´t updated in a while but Christmas and school was very busy so I didn´t have much time to write anything but here is the new chapter finally. Enjoy and please review if you have any ideas or prompts for this story or the others. You can also pm me if you have any prompts that have to do with haircuts or Regina as Rapunzel or anything.

It had been a few days since Regina woke up and she was still staying with Johanna. Today was a very special day for her. Today she would have her first date with Archie and she was nervous. Although they would take Henry with them it was still special and she wanted to look her best which wasn´t so easy considering that her hair was still a short mess. Johanna encouraged her that she looked perfect even without her long hair and that Archie wouldn´t care how she looked as long as she was healthy.

The redhead picked her up before they drove to Emma´s apartment to get Henry so they could have lunch together at Granny´s. For lunch time the diner was rather empty so they could choose where they wanted to sit. Everyone was shocked to see Regina and they were all whispering things to their neighbors. Regina zoned it all out and sat beside Henry while Archie sat across from her.

,,So why are we here guys? I thought you needed to rest?" he asked his mother confused and worried. He didn´t know what Cora did to her exactly because no one wanted to tell him since they all thought he was too young for this but he understood that it was very bad.

Regina took his hand and looked at Archie for permission to tell him. The former cricket nodded happily at her and she smirked. ,,Well, Archie and I…um…we…we like each other very much and we wanted to ask you if it would be okay for you if we dated." She explained nervously. This was all so new to her. The last time she truly loved a man was when she was 18 and now she was 34. Yes, there had been Graham and she really liked him but he never returned the favor because he didn´t have a heart and therefore it was never more than sex between them but with Archie it was all completely different. He made her smile again like only Daniel could.

Henry just smiled at them and nodded happily. ,,That´s awesome! I´m so happy for you, Mom." She answered and hugged his mother tightly. Suddenly Regina winced at the touch, her back was still not healed properly and her skin felt as if it was on fire. Henry quickly got out of her arms and again looked at her worriedly.

,,It´s nothing, don´t worry sweetheart." The brunette reassured the eleven year-old boy with a tight smile. Suddenly the little bell above the door jingled and Cora entered the diner, dressed in one of Regina´s many suits. This wasn´t good. Archie looked at Regina and noticed her discomfort. He needed to get her out of here before anything could happen to her again. However it was too late, Cora had already spotted them and was making her way over to them. Quickly Regina pushed past him and stood in front of him and Henry in order to protect them from her wicked mother. Cora just laughed at that.

,,Do you really think this will stop me from hurting them? You are pathetic, my daughter. Look at you! You are too weak to defeat me and you know it. Stop fighting me and accept who you really are. My daughter." Cora tried to manipulate her but Regina stayed strong. She couldn´t let her mother get inside her head again. She needed to protect her loved ones.

,,I´m not your daughter and we both know it. I´m not coming with you so that you can manipulate me and ruin my life again." Regina stood her ground stubbornly and looked around to see that there were only Granny, Ruby, Archie and Henry left. The others must have fled as soon as Cora entered the diner.

Suddenly the older brunette closed the distance between them and began to play with her adopted daughter´s short locks. Regina tried to get out of her reach but again Cora was too strong for her. ,,How does it feel?" she asked smirking evilly at the younger woman and then looked at Granny who glared at her.

Regina was confused. She didn´t know what her mother meant by that and noticing the glances Cora and Granny exchanged made it even more confusing for her. ,,What do you mean?" she asked back still not understanding a thing. Granny looked concerned and Ruby was equally confused as Regina.

,,Why your hair of course. You looked so much better when you were bald. Such a shame. How does it feel to know that it will never grow back again?" Cora mocked her and she really hated it. Tears were covering her cheeks once again and she aimed a fireball at the older brunette but Cora quickly caught it and aimed it at Archie. Her daughter stopped it before it could hit Archie but now she was aiming at Henry. She could catch it last minute before it could hit Henry but the boy was terrified.

,,Stop it!" Granny shouted from behind Cora and went to stand between them. She needed to protect Regina like she failed to do so many years ago. Years ago before Ruby had even been close to be born the grey-haired woman had been a nanny in Prince Henry´s castle and was the little princess´ best friend but Cora didn´t like how close they had been and that Granny always interfered when she punished her daughter. So she had to go. She wasn´t even allowed to say goodbye to the little girl. After that Cora had taken all of Regina´s memories the girl had with Granny and replaced them.

Cora huffed and disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke leaving them all confused in the diner. Archie hugged Regina tightly and kissed her reassuringly while Henry hugged her from behind.
