So here is the second chapter. The party will take place and Regina will get some special presents from her loved ones. I hope you enjoy and as always please review!
After their little picknick Archie drove them to Granny´s for the party. Henry had called to let him know that everything was ready and Regina still didn´t have a clue. So she was rather confused when the ginger parked the car in front of his office across the diner. He took her hand and led her into the little diner. At the door he stopped and held her eyes closed with his hands.
"What are you doing?" the brunette asked smiling as they entered. She really didn´t know what was going on but she had a few ideas. Maybe Archie had prepared a romantic dinner date at the diner since their last one was rudely interrupted by Cora. Regina only hoped her adopted mother wouldn´t make a scene today of all days. Her birthday never really meant anything to her since she never celebrated it before. Archie however made it all so special for her.
"Surprise!" she was startled when they entered. A lot of people where at the diner and cheered for her birthday. It was all a little overwhelming for her. She spotted her mother coming over to her and she ran into her waiting arms. Tears of joy gathered in her big brown eyes and it really was a happy birthday. The happiest she had ever had.
She felt another pair of arms wrap around her middle and looked down to see her son clinking to her. " Happy Birthday." they both whispered and kissed Regina´s cheek.
After that she greeted everyone else and thanked them all for coming. A lot of people had come. Even Leroy was there to congratulate her. This was all so strange the whole town seemed to welcome her for just one day and she desperately wanted to find out to arranged this secret gathering. She looked at Archie knowingly but he only shook his head and gestured to Henry.
" You did all this?" she asked rather surprised and the young boy nodded proudly at his adopted mother.
"Yes! Now open your presents!" he urged and led her over to the bar which was filled with a lot of boxes. Small ones and big ones with different kinds of colourful wrapping paper. She was again overwhelmed by all of this gifts and didn´t know which one she should open first. Henry helped her and picked out a round box which was rather large and wrapped in glittering child wrapping paper. A little card was attached to it which read ´For the best Mom in all the realms`. Again she got teary eyed and kissed his head lovingly even without even seeing the gift itself.
She tore the wrapping paper like an excited child at Christmas Eve and slowly opened the box. In it was something she never expected. It was a wig which very much resembled her shoulder length dark hair that she had lost weeks ago. Regina paused for a moment, zoned it all out and sobbed. The gift was major and kind and she really wanted to know where he got the idea. She fingered her cropped locks and then embraced him tightly. Never wanting to let go again.
The other presents mostly contained jewellery or make up or gift cards but she was still thankful for the simple gesture. Then she came a across a small box from Granny that contained something she had long forgotten. It was a golden necklace with a tree hanging from it that her adopted father gave her when she was a little girl. It had belong to his mother and he wanted her to have it. Back then she didn´t realize what it truly meant but now she knew. He loved her so much that even if she wasn´t his daughter by blood he still wanted her to have it. Her had taken it out of spite and jealousy but somehow Granny must have gotten a hold of it. The brunette was really touched by this gift and hugged the old woman tightly.
The last gift was from her mother. She tore the wrapping paper and opened the box quickly to reveal a soft cotton blanket. It was coloured purple- her favourite colour- and the name ´Rapunzel´was stiched into it. That was what melted her completely. She always wondered if she had a baby blanket somewhere however she thought Cora had just tossed it away when she started toddlerhood simply because she was too grown up to have something so silly to hold onto. Now she knew there was one. Something her real mother made for her even though she knew she couldn´t keep her child. It must have been really painful to always look at it and be reminded that her daughter was gone.
"I love you so much, Mama!" she sobbed and threw herself in her mother´s arms. Johanna smiled teary eyed, while Henry snapped a few pictures of them. She never wanted to let her girl go again in that moment. She had lost thirty-five years but now she wouldn´t ever miss a single day.
" I love you too, sweetheart." she whispered and stroked her daughter´s dark hair. It felt like home for both of them.
After the party Archie took her home to show her his present for her. Pongo was waiting eagerly and jumped up and down excitedly when they entered the small flat. He ran directly to Regina and started licking her face as he strangled her to the floor.
"Pongo!" the ginger scolded but Regina waved him off laughing. She stood up slowly and Pongo wagged his tail in excitement and ran into the bedroom. Regina followed him but stopped dead in her movement when she noticed a little Dalmatian puppy lying on the bed with ribbon tied around his neck.
"Is that my present?" she asked and picked the little pup up and cuddled him to her chest. Archie nodded and sat on the bed next to his girlfriend.
"Yes, do you like her? Her name is Perdita." he explained and she kissed him passionately in response. She sat the pup next to Pongo and slowly began to open her blouse seductively.
"And now, Dr. Hopper, I have a present for you mister." she sloured and un dressed him slowly. She was ready. That night the brunette gave herself to him and he promised himself to never let her down again.
