Today was one of those days where the hallways were dead, as well as the people that covered them. It was raining non stop since last night, people were complaining as to why they were even at school with so much rain. Some were slightly damped while others were full on soaked in rain. People were running to get away from the rain, as well as not be late to school.

"Remind me again why did we decided to show up, again?" Sam questioned Danny and Luke while they were in class, as he watched outside the windows.

"Don't start...and plus I rather be here than training." he pointed with Danny agreeing.

Sam shrugged as he moved his eyes back to the teacher as he noticed Kara coming in late. He slightly squinted his eyes, as she made her back to her seat she looked at him for a second then sat down; and that was it, that had been the most "in touch" thing they had done since the party. Sam was still very confused about all that drama. He never really did try to talk to her about that night, but seeing she didn't either, he just slowly decided to let it go. He thought about what Ava had said, and how maybe he really should talk to her but then again, this is Sam. Girls come to him, he doesn't go to them. It was nothing serious anyways, right? it's not like they actually like each other... so once again, that thought he had of talking to her, he pushed it back.

"Look Ava, about what happened and what we- I said that night-"

"I get it Peter." Ava interrupted. "No need to repeat anything."

"I just want to make everything clear, bring things back the way they were..."

"I told you, things are more than clear. Happy now?"

*flashback to Harry's party*

Peter had Ava's head resting on his chest as they sat on the couch. He was a mixture of uncomfortable and nervous all in one. As the movie continued, Peter could feel his heat coming out of his head, he was almost worried she would notice. His heart was going to pop out of his chest, he hated himself because he knew Ava could probably feel it.

After what it seemed like hours, the movie was finally over. "I wonder why they always open the closet?" Ava questioned. "it's so predictable.." she said.

"I mean c'mon, you automatically know the kills is right there!" peter said. Ava chuckled "yeah" she said as they made eye contact. Peter felt a rush of heat pass his whole body. He wasn't sure what to do exactly...should I get up and turn on the lights?

Before he knew it, Ava was leaning in closer. Could have stopped it, but peter found himself in place waiting. They kissed for a few minutes, each minute making this scene more and more intense. Ava was on top of peter as the kissing continued for a few more seconds, until peter stopped it.

"Okay-Okay Ava, this is wrong." Peter said as he sat back up making Ava go to the other side of the couch. Ava stared at peter confused, peter had a confused face of his own. He was not sure what to say next, or at least not sure how to say it.

"I just...I, I can't." Peter finally said. Ava put her hair behind her ears as she looked down, perhaps trying to hide something. "I know this kinda happened that one night at my house but...that was my mistake."He continued. (Chapter 3 if you don't remember)

"I really shouldn't have done that. I truly didn't mean to give you the wrong impression, I should have known better than that. So I'm sorry." He paused for a moment, giving her a chance to speak but there was nothing. "I really just want things for the best of us, I want to still be the great friends we are."

There was that one word that sank into Ava's head...Friends. She had no choice but to nod and agree. "Okay." was all she said.

"I just don't want to regret anything because of a past stupid mistake." Peter explained.

Ouch. That was another word that sank in her head Mistake. "No, yeah, you're absolutely right."She agreed. "I mean after all, we don't even like each other, why even do this to ourselves, right?" she said as she was getting read to get up and leave. Peter wasn't sure what to say about that...

"uhm, yeah, yeah exactly" he said not very convincing, but played it off.

"Alright, well, won't happen again, thats for sure." she said as she smiled said goodbye and left the room. Peter waved goobye back as he stood there for a minute, trying to realize what exactly had he just done.

*Flashback ends*

"I told you, it won't happen again, geez. It's not like I'm a slut, Parker."

"What? no, no that's not what I meant at all I just-"

"Wanna be friends." Ava finished for him. "I get it. And that's what we are so... I've moved on" she chuckled. Peter straightened up a bit "Oh, I mean yeah me too. I was just making sure since you've seemed more..."

"No, yeah we're good." Peter nodded. "Alright, cool"

"cool" she said as she closed her locker and started to walk to class. Peter sighed as he watched her walk away, but started to follow her.

After lunch, the hallways were crowded as usual. Sam was at his locker when he caught a small glimpse of Kara in between all people. He looked back at his locker, as he continued to get his stuff ready. But once again, there was something that made him look back again. This time, he noticed another figure standing next to her. It was a guy, and sam recognized him. It was that same Connor kid he had gotten into a fight with. He continued to stare as he squinted his eyes at the scene.

He noticed the guy smile at something she said, as he leaned down a bit and kissed her. They kissed for a few seconds, as he pulled back, he smacked her behind and left. Sam couldn't help it but to stare in confusion. Something told him to just simply turn around and walk away, while another told him to... well this...

"I see your Connor buddy is back." he said nonchalance leaning in the lockers. kara simply continued with her stuff "Well look who's deciding to talk again..." she said bitterly. Sam frowned. "What? you're the one that stopped talking to me after-"

"After what?" she asked back, making eye contact.

Sam hesitated, unsure why, but he did. "After, uh, after the party...situation."

She chuckled "What about it?" she said continuing in her locker. Sam shrugged even though she wasn't looking. "Nothing. I just didn't know if you were-"

"Look Sam, that was nothing, alright?" she deadpanned. "It was just my way of saying thank you, nothing more. We didn't have sex, so Don't get too excited about it."

Sam was thrown back by this, but he wasn't gonna make it obvious. "I never said it was something." he defended.

"Good. Because it didn't mean anything." she explained again. "And anyways, I'm back with Connor, so whatever you had planned, forget about it."

Sam's hands turned into fists, not because he was going to fight her, but rather because of the anger he felt in those words. "What the hell are you talking about?" he asked back. "I had nothing 'planned" he quoted with his hands.

"Probably a good idea, considering the fact that Connor would kill you." she pointed out.

"Really? Because last time I checked, I kicked his ass." he said a little too proud.

"Yeah, just pure luck..."she said somewhat teasing.

"Oh, whatever." Sam said dryly, as he began to walk away to class.

Kara continued to stand by her locker, before she knew it, Sam was gone. She turned her head to look at only Sam's back as he got further away from where she stood. Kara's expression soon changed once he was gone. She pressed her lips together with a mixture of worried and sad expression on her face. She slightly sighed as she closed her locker while she kept looking sam's direction. "I'm sorry, Sam." she whispered to herself. She closed her locker and walked the opposite direction.

The last class was simply just dreadful. Peter was still thrown back with what had happened at the hallway with Ava. Yes, it's for the best of both of them but... was that the right decision? I mean, she seemed fine with it. So maybe things will be back to normal and everyone will be happy. Unless of course...she might think that I truly don't like her. Which is kinda what I told her but it's not 100% true, I mean I do ,but maybe not one hundred percent...okay yeah no, it's one hundred percent. Okay, okay, I'm sure everything will be fine. Besides, what's the worst that can happen, right?

NEXT CHAPTER: What happens when Ava might be making some new 'friendships' that could possibly affect the team? Or perhaps, a team member? Hehe
