~ STORIES 101

Months later

Things have slightly changed a bit...not much in the SHIELD department other than getting a couple of new equipment... but more like in the teenage life. Ava is currently dating this new guy, well, was, but is new for you guys, named Mason. She didn't want to admit it, but we all kinda new it and saw it. Yes, it was hard at first to see her with someone else at first, but actually, Mason is kinda cool. He really fits in 'with us guys' whatever that means...but that's what MJ said.

But it's been a few months now, she really seems to be happy, and thats all i care about. And NO, I am not jealous, mad or whatever else you can think of. I've gotten so much crap from the team about that, especially Sam. He keeps saying I've been put in the "friend zone" but, I don't know... point is, they finally know and see that I am truly okay with it. My relationship with Ava, as friends, will always mean the world to me. And I'll do whatever it takes to protect it. I will always love her, in my own way I guess. I'm not saying I don't like her anymore, or that I am over her, but, things right now are just...good.

Sam is also in the dating department right now, nothing new. Well, actually Im not even sure what they are right now...not dating but not just friends, hang on, what did sam call it...uh..oh yeah! "friends with benefits" so that should tell you how that relationship is going. As far as I know, It's this girl named Emily, not even sure how they met. She occasionally sits with us, not really. They both are just kinda in their own world...but I guess we'll see how long that lasts. Whatever 'that' is exactly...

Other than that, everything else is pretty much the same. I'm happy where things are right now...

SCHOOL

The school parking lot was and always will be a savage mess. Sam was coming in as he always found a way to find a spot. I guess his reckless driving pays off when it comes to this. Since you really need to know how to make turns literally in seconds and still manage to not run over someone. His loud music was loud enough to be heard from outside. He noticed a spot available and quickly went for it. Noticing there was another car after it as well, but he won.

"Ha! Maybe Next time grandpa!" he said proudly. He turned off the engine and the music stopped with it. He got out of the car as he walked to his trunk to get his stuff. With people walking around all towards the same place, he managed to see Kara reclining on the trunk of her car, her arms were crossed, as this guy was in front of her talking to some guys that had started to walk away after they did a 'bro' hug. It was Connor talking to his friend football players. Kara was pulling her hair behind her ear, somewhat shaking her head. It seemed like they were arguing or at least she was. She started to walk away, but it wasn't long before Connor grabbed her arm and went in for a kiss. She didn't seem to do anything against it. Sam shook his head as if he was not amused, he closed his trunk, put the backpack on his shoulder as he began walking away.

Inside wasn't any better than outside, except no cars. But the people were the same, some went this way, others that way. He made a stop at his locker and it wasn't long until he felt a hand touch his back.

"I though you said you weren't gonna show up." the female voice said. It was emily reclining on the wall of lockers. Sam took out a book as he shrugged.

"I'm a responsible student." he said without him being able to hold in a laugh.

"yeah, you're right." she said back smiling. "Anyways, what are you doing first period?" she asked with the lightest look.

"chemistry" he said as he closed his locker and turned towards her. "Why" he said.

"Well..I have a substitute," she said. Sam nodded. "Alight,so" he said.

" so, I'm sure my friend could cover for me for a little bit." she explained as she slightly brought him closer to her and he met her eyes. He understood, and a smirk crossed his face. As he was leaning in closer for a kiss, but Emily moved.

"But yeah, no, never mind." she said as she pushed sam slightly so that she could stand straight now. "You're a responsible student." she teased.

He smirked "well, I am. I'm learning more about chemistry, aren't I? " he said as he moved closer to her again. She smiled as she kissed him. Then grabbed his hand as they started to merge with the crowd of students.

The bell had rung, hallways were empty for the most part except for the late students.

"Where's Sam?" asked Ava without sounding surprised.

"Eh, who knows with that kid." Peter said unamused."He probably has no idea we have a test today...You ready?"

Ava nodded. "Yes I am. And I am determined to beat you this time.." she teased.

Peter raised an eyebrow. "Is that so?" he said. She nodded. "Alright, show me what you got Ayala" he said with a smirk.

*15 minutes into the class*

Kara was taking the test as she was distracted by movement in the hallway. She could see a small strand of the hallway since she sat on the edge of the room. It was Sam leaning in the wall, his back was against the wall and he seemed to be smiling but she wasn't sure at what. She could only see him. It wasn't long until she saw two hands into the picture. The hands seemed to go around Sam's neck as he lean in closer to someone that was being cover by the wall. Kara looked down at her test. Something still made her look up again, not even sure why, since she could barely see anything. This time she saw the girl in the wall, they had switch places. The girl smiled and she saw she began to walk away, and it wasn't long before Sam came in the room.

The teacher was sitting down "Mr Alexander," the teacher began. "You're fifteen minutes late, care to explain?"

"I got lost?" he said unsure, some people chuckled. The teacher wasn't amused. "That's fifteen minutes you won't get for your test." the teacher deadpanned. as he handed sam a test.

Sam sat down as he heard Peter whisper. "Where were you?" he shrugged. "Studying" was all he said.

"did emily help you?" ava whispered now too. Peter chuckled.

"Shut up" was all he said.

LUNCH

"Okay give me one reason why I should" Harry said as he seemed to be getting himself into a bet as to why he should eat the cafeteria ham.

"Cuz you'll make us laugh." Sam said.

"You have nothing better to do.." Peter said.

"why not." Luke said.

"YOLO" danny said, as he got stares from all of them. "What?"

"C'mon this ham isn't even that bad." Mason said. "You guys should've seen my lunch from my old school."

"Oh yeah big guy?" Harry said. "Then why don't you eat it?" he raised an eyebrow. Mason looked down at his plate and saw the strand of ham on the corner of his plate. "Well, ya know.."he bagan. "I was going to offer it to you guys." he mumbled.

Peter laughed "Cmon mason, you can do it. If you don't survive, Ill personally take you to the hospital." he offered.

Sam reached for his pocket "This is worth recording." he said taking his phone out.

Mason looked down at the ham. "Alright, I guess I'll do it."

They began to cheer "Mason, Mason, Mason" as he opened his mouth and stuffed it with the whole ham. They cringed. As the juice from it esacped the corner of his mouths. "UGGHh" the table said in choir. He chewed making a face. What almost felt like a minute he finally swallowed making a face.

"Okay, that was pretty bad." he said drinking his milk.

"Dude, we weren't kidding when we said we have the worst school food." Sam pointed out still recording as he laughed.

"UGHH, god that was bad." Mason said still cringing. "If I go to the hospital, you're paying my bill" he said joking pointing at peter.

"Oh my god we should go!" Ava said at something MJ had said.

"I know right, and it's a friday too so its perfect!" They were talking about going to this karaoke night live even coming up.

"Kara you in?"Ava asked when she noticed she made a small face.

"This friday?" they nodded. "I can't." she said with a sad face. "Connor has this football thing.." she said rolling her eyes.

"Aww" MJ said "well, maybe next time."

"for sure"

"I guess you're telling Mason then." MJ said to Ava.

"I mean, it can be just me and you if you want." she suggested.

"Nah, you guys are cute." she said. "Plus that place tends to get wild, so why not have a man with us" she winked at the end. Ava laughed.

"I'll ask harry or pete to come, since I am NOT being a third wheel" she clarified joking.

"MJ I've told you!" ava began. "I don't want you to feel like that!" she playful shoved her. MJ laughed. "I know, Im just messing with you."

"Oh, I forgot, Harry is out of town this weekend..oh well.. Pete will have to do." she laughed.

"As long as it's not Sam.." Ava said with a face as she look down at her plate.

"I'm sure he would make a scene with that karaoke." Kara said.

"Oh, I don't care about that" Ava said. "It's just...I don't want Emily there." she said a little embarrassed, since she knew kara was friends with her.

"That's Right," Mj remembered. "How is that whole situation going?"

Ava just sighed "It's just going..."

"It seemed kinda random to me...I thought Emily had a thing for that guy, what was his name...uhm" Mj was thinking.

"Jake." Kara completed her thought. "Yeah!" Mj agreed.

"Emily is just, kinda...I don't know." she said unsure how to finish that.

With that the bell rang and they all started to make their way to was walking to her locker, when she felt a tap on her shoulder. It was Mason. She smiled "Hey" he smiled back as he gently kissed her cheek.

"Oh hey I was gonna ask you" she said as she switched out her books. "MJ wanted to go to karaoke night on Friday. I told her we should go."

Mason frowned "Doesn't that place get wild at night..."he pointed out. Ava nodded "Yes," she admitted. "BUT that's why I'm fine going if you're going." she smiled at the end.

"Alright, so am I going as a body guard? or as a Boyfriend?" he asked with a smirk.

"I don't know.." Ava said as she closed her locker. "I guess you'll have to show me on friday." she teased. He smiled.

"Deal" he whispered as he leaned in and they kissed.

Peter was coming out of the cafeteria. He was making his way to his locker when he saw Ava and Mason Kissing from far into the hallway. He found himself actually staring so he turned his attention towards his locker.

"brutal." he heard a voice say. He turned to see Sam walking towards him. He sighed turning his attention back to his locker.

"ugh, don't start." he said annoyed.

"I know, I know, you've moved on and blah blah blah." sam said imitating him. "That's right." he agreed.

"Hey Pete!" a voice was heard from the hallway, it was MJ making her way towards them.

"What's up MJ"

"Hey so me, ava and Mason are going to karaoke night on friday, you guys wanna come?"

"UH, hell yeah!" Sam quickly said without even thinking about it. Mj nodded.

"Uhm, suuure. I don't think we'll be able to hear afterwards but sounds fun."

"Alright cool," she said seeming to be in a hurry. " gotta go!"

"Dude, you are so gonna suffer that night" sam said laughing while he started to walk away.

Peter felt like saying something back he was so tired of his stupid comments. But he seemed to be thoughtful for a little while. No No I have to go. I want to go. Ava and I are friends. Nothing to be holding me back as to why I shouldn't go. I. AM GOING.

At the other end of the hallway kara was in her locker getting ready for her class. Emily seemed to be asking her something.

"I mean, I don't know...I don't even know why am going."

"Kara, cmon its Connors party. You can't not be there." Emily pointed out.

Kara just sighed "Whatever.."

"Besides, I mean-"

"hey, em" a voice interrupted them. Emily turned around, it was Sam. "hey"

"hey we're going to karaoke night on friday, you coming?" he said. Emily sighed as she shrugged.

"Ugh can't." she said as she touched his face. "I have a family reunion I have to go to." Kara frowned.

"Aight, it's cool" Sam said nonchalance. "But I'll be sure to see you on Monday right?" she winked as she grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him towards her as she kissed him. Sam put her arms around her as he kissed her back.

"Alright, you better go." she whispered as she let go of his shirt. Sam smirked and just started to walk away.

"that was intense." kara said still getting her books out. Emily laughed. It wasn't long before a voice was heard.

"Yo, Em, you coming friday, right?" The guy said, it seemed to be that so Jake she is in love with.

"You bet." she said as the guys kept passing by. Jake, the one on the edge shot her a smile and with that they were gone. Kara looked over where Jake was walking then back at Emily who was still fascinated over jake's back. They made eye contact.

"Uhm, what do you think you're doing?" Kara asked slightly laughing.

"What?"

"You're coming on friday? I thought you said you had a 'family reunion' she quoted with her fingers.

"I do." She said. "I just so happen to have plans so I can't go." she smiled with the lightest wicked smile.

"That's messed up, Em." kara said shacking her head with a small laugh.

"Oh, cmon K. It's just because it's jake! You know how I feel about him." she explained.

"so, why are you with Sam then?" she asked confused.

"well...I don't know. I mean I can't just go around kissing Jake until he actually kisses me first. So, I need a distraction." she explained. "And that distraction just so happens to be Sam. He has such a hot body, I'll give him that." she said putting lipstick on. Kara started at her with a face.

"we're only friends with benefits, nothing serious anyways so" she said as she fixed her hair looking at herself from the mirror in Kara's locker.

"You sure about that?"

"Uhm, yes. Stop with the questions. C'mon, you're helping me find a dress for friday."
