A/N: Contains one, itty-bitty swear word.. Don't freak out.
Annabeth stormed onto the deck of the Argo, a murderous look on her face.
"Oh my gods, Percy, you're so dumb!"
It was only the day after they'd made their hasty retreat from New Rome, and Percy and Annabeth were already fighting. It had started about an hour ago, and the yelling hadn't stopped since.
Percy was right behind her, "I'm sorry, Annabeth, but we can't all be daughters of Athena!"
Piper turned towards Hazel, who was perched on a workbench, worrying at her bottom lip.
"Shouldn't we say something?" the daughter of Aphrodite whispered, glancing at the couple.
Hazel shrugged, but her gold eyes showed concern. "I don't know… I'd hate to make things even worse."
"How could we? Annabeth looks like she might break out her knife any minute."
"What's your problem? Ever since we got on the ship, you've been acting like a-"
Annabeth's eye's flashed dangerously, "Like a what, Percy? Go on, say it!"
"Fine, I will! Annabeth Chase, you've been acting like a bitch!"
Hazel gaped at the black haired boy, but the couple still didn't seem to realize that the other two were also on deck. Piper saw Jason and Leo looking at her from behind the ship's mast, obviously hiding from the furious demigods. Frank had sneaked over to the girls, and looked absolutely terrified. Hazel quickly snatched up his hand, and dragged him down onto the bench.
Annabeth quickly recovered from her shock.
"Excuse me?" she shrieked, "I can't believe you!"
Percy made some sort of comeback, but the rest of the crew's concentration was broken, when Coach Hedge shuffled over, munching on a tin can, wearing his "May the forest be with you" t-shirt.
"What's up, cupcakes?" he asked, leaning against the boat's edge.
Piper gestured to the couple, Annabeth was waving her hands around, and Percy radiated anger.
"Ah," Coach nodded. "No biggie. They used to do this all the time."
"Seriously?" Frank arched an eyebrow. "I thought they loved each other."
"They do. But they also hate each other. They've always been like this. Can't decide if they want to kill each other, or…" he shuddered.
"So what do we do?" Hazel asked, twirling her cinnimon colored hair around her index finger.
He shrugged. "I dunno. Wait it out. They'll be fine. Probably."
Piper rolled her eyes. "That's reassuring."
"Annabeth, if I did something, I'm sorry. But you have to tell me!"
The daughter of Athena pinched the bridge of her nose, "You should know!"
"Gods, Annabeth! Just tell me what I did!"
"You changed! You're all Roman, and you're their Praetor! What happened to Camp Half-Blood? Did you just forget about us? About me?"
"Wise Girl-"
Annabeth turned around, attempting to walk away from him, but he grabbed her wrist, pulling her back.
"You know I never forgot about you."
"You have to make a decision, Percy! Greek or Roman. Because you can't have both."
Percy and Jason both winced.
"Annabeth, I haven't changed."
"But you have!" she wailed, ripping her wrist out of Percy's hand.
Percy stepped closer, his eyes no longer angry. "I love you, okay? Maybe I spent some time at a new camp, maybe I made some friends there. But you, and Camp Half-Blood will always come first. Even before I got my memory back, I knew that 'the son of Neptune' didn't sound right."
Everyone- except for Coach Hedge, who was chewing noisily on his second can- was holding their breath, praying to the gods (mainly Piper's mom) that their friends would kiss and make up.
"You went on a quest without me," Annabeth said softly, looking at her feet.
Percy cupped her chin, tilting her head up so she met his eyes. "I did. Being almost killed wasn't nearly as exciting without you."
She took a deep, shuddering breath. "So you're still Greek? And mine?"
The son of Poseidon smirked, "Does Chiron have horrible taste in music?"
Annabeth grinned, and stood on her toes to kiss him, wrapping her arms around his neck.
A/N: Yay happy ending! I can't believe there have been 20 of these... In case you couldn't tell, this took place in the beginning of MoA. I really don't think that with Percy and Annabeth, they would reunite and just magically agree on everything. Pu-lease. Also, I think this qualifies as a Meet Percabeth, because it's the first time most of the others have seen the two really fight. This was way too much fun to write to not post it, and its not quite long enough to be a one-shot.
Question for all my readers: Do you have any angsty Nico fanfictions to suggest? Like ones about the little secret we learned about in HoH? If so, please leave some titles in the reviews, I need them like I need air. (And Percabeth. And also Klaine.)
Thanks for reading!
