So last chapter helped me get some inspiration. Hope y'all enjoy~

"How have you never heard of Pokemon?!" Tavros asked John in shock. The two sat at a McDonald's as John looked down nervously. "Everyone knows about Pokemon!"

"W-Well… I kinda… never got out much growing up." John explained. Tavros stared at him before he frowned.

"I see." Tavros looked down for a moment, before looking up at him with a grin. "Well, better late then never! Come on!" Tavros takes John's hand and pulls him out of the McDonald's. John watched with wide eyes as Tavros dragged him to a game store down the street. Tavros walked in with him and walked over to a game case. "Come on, John!" Tavros said with a wide grin. John slowly walked over to him looking at the games. "Pick one!" Tavros told him, still grinning.

John looked at the games slowly. "B-But I can't afford any of these…"

"It's fine. I buy and sell stuff here so often I have plenty of credit. Just pick one out!" Tavros explained. "I also have a spare DS Lite you can use." John nodded slowly and looked back at the games. He saw one that was titled 'Diamond' and he picked it up slowly.

"This one looks kinda cool…" John said, looking at the back.

"That's Dialga on the front. He's the legendary Pokemon for that game." Tavros explained. John looked at it again.

"I like it…"

"Then it's yours. Come on!" Tavros said, dragging John to the front to buy the game.

John looked down. "Y-You really don't have to do this…"

"I want to though! I uh… I kinda get upset when I hear stories like you told, about not getting out much. So I try to help out. My uncle's pretty rich so we don't have many problems."

"Your uncle?" John asked.

"Yeah… He uh… He's an information gatherer for the uh… um…" John saw where he was going and put his hand on Tavros's shoulder.

"I understand… B-But he doesn't actually hunt us right?" John asked. Tavros shook his head.

"He sympathizes like me. He only gatherers information on demons who are a threat to society." Tavros looked at him. "And he never goes on the hunt except to verify if it's who they're going after." John nodded. "Anyway… Let's head to my place and we'll get that DS Lite!"

Later that day, Dave walked into the hide out and saw John on the couch playing a DS Lite. Dave looked at John confused and a bit shocked. "John, what are you doing?"

"I'm playing with this thing called a DS Lite. I don't know what it is exactly, but it's interesting." John said, still looking at the DS.

"Where'd you get it?"

"A new friend let me borrow it." John explained, saving his game and turning it off before looking at Dave. "I met them today on my walk."

"Who is this guy?" Dave asked, a bit concerned.

"His name's Tavros. I ran into him today, literally." John explained. "He introduced me to this game called Pokemon. It's so COOL!" John said with a grin. Dave had to chuckle.

"Pokemon? Which one?"

"Diamond. I think… How many games are there?"

"A LOT." Dave explained, sitting next to him. "I used to watch it before we had to run to the sewers."

"There's more than just games?" John asked, crossing his legs.

"Yeah. There are movies, a t.v. series, toys, books, it's pretty popular." Dave explained. John looked at him curiously.

"What are movies and what's a T.V.?" Dave's eyes widened at John's questions.

"Dude. We gotta get you out more."

Dave decided to spend the next few days introducing John to pop culture, seeing as how John knew next to nothing about it. He took John to the movies a few times, the arcade every day, and even got him a small laptop to watch movies and shows online while Dave was out at his new job.

It became a routine. Dave would pick John up after John got off work, pick a movie to see, chill at the arcade while waiting for the movie, then go home to dinner and then bed to do the same the next day. John really enjoyed movies, but Dave began to notice he especially liked movies with Nic Cage in them. or the Ghost Busters series. Nepeta, Aradia, Feferi, and Rose found John's intense fascination adorable, and kept introducing him to new things that normally girls would watch. John watched them all the same, but kept going back to his new favorites.

Dave couldn't help but find the behavior fascinating as well. It was like taking a 3 year old to a candy shop with new candy every day. Everytime John watched a movie his eyes would almost sparkle. Eridan sat with him to watch a Harry Potter marathon, and they would start talking about it, seeing what could really happen from those movies and what was impossible.

One time, John came back from hanging out with Tavros whistling songs from Peter Pan. Nepeta, Equius, and Rose sat down with him and watched more Disney films, John learning all the songs in the process. Dave walked into the room once when John was watching The Lion King and John was singing along to Can You Feel The Love Tonight. John's voice wasn't deep, but Dave found it rather pleasant. He smiled and leaned against the wall as the song finished.

"Hey, John." Dave started, causing John to jump a bit. John let out a sigh in relief.

"Don't surprise me like that, Dave…" John said. Dave chuckled.

"Got a new movie you might want to see if you like that one." Dave said, sitting next to him. John watched him type away and saw there was a second Lion King movie. Dave pressed play and sat back, lounging with his arm on the back of the couch. John looked at Dave for a moment before looking back at the movie, leaning against Dave's shoulder as a pillow. Dave's eyes widened and looked at John from behind his shades. John was already focused on the movie. Dave just smiled and watched the movie with him.

A few hours later, Nepeta and Rose found the two, asleep on the black couch. Nepeta giggled and Rose simply chuckled and closed the laptop.

"Nepeta please go get a blanket?" Rose asked. Nepeta nodded quickly and ran to get a big blanket for the two. She soon came back and Rose took the blanket and covered the two boys. "Goodnight you two." Rose said with a slight smile before walking out with Nepeta.
