Ch. 4 Pokémon Island
Location: Viridian City: Day
"Roy I can't believe that you thought that you could win your first battle."
"Well, I didn't say I could win either." Toy said leaning onto Scy. Scy ducked his shoulder making Roy fall to the ground. Scy and Kryztal were laughing, Roy stood up and dusted himself off, "Not funny you two." They rounded a bin and they say Viridian City. The group stopped in their tracks and just stared. "Race you there!" Kryztal said and took off running towards Viridian City.
The group was walking down the streets of Viridian City, people walking about and minding their own business and such. Roy came to a window and seen Professor Oak talking to a young woman around his age. "There's Professor Oak!" Roy yelled he ran into the store and straight up to the Professor. Professor Oak turned around as Roy ran into the store, "Ah, Roy I was hoping to catch you before you left Pallet Town, but by the time I called your mother said that you had already left,"
"What did you want to tell me?"
"Straight to the point then, well first let me hand you the Pokédex, and 5 Pokéballs to start your journey." He pulled out the items and handed them to Roy. "Unfortunately I don't have a beginner Pokémon for you to choose from." Roy's mouth dropped at that. "So then what do we do then?"
"My grandfather, the late Professor Oak, set up an island for Pokémon to live in case something like this happened. It's a three day trip by boat to get there, I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to get your first, uh second Pokémon." Kryztal and Scy got through the door and up to them at this point and were listening. "What about it Kryztal, do you wanna go with us to the island?"
"Um, Professor Oak," Kryztal had her hands behind her back, head down and was nervously moving her foot. "I was wondering if I could get a Pokémon there as well."
"Yes Kryztal you can get a Pokémon too while we are there."
"Then what are we waiting for let's go!" Roy said running out of the store.
"Roy the boat doesn't leave till tomorrow morning." Professor Oak said coming out of the store. "So why don't you, Kryztal, and Skylar go get a room at the Pokémon Center for the night."
"Who's Skylar?" Roy said interrupting the Professor.
"This is Skylar," Professor Oak stood aside to let the girl he was talking to earlier come forward. She had light blue eyes and wavy magenta colored hair; she was wearing a yellow hooded jacket and green shorts.
"Hi I'm Skylar, I just moved here from the Unova region." She held her hand out. Roy took her hand in his, "Hi I'm Roy, your pretty."
"Roy, are you going to introduce us?" Kryztal said tapping him on his shoulder.
"Uh who are you again?" Kryztal pushed him out of the way.
"Hi I'm Kryztal and this is Scy, Roy's Pokémon."
"Well hello there Scy." Scy bowed his head a little and went over to Roy.
Location: Pokémon Center: Night
"So Skylar, you said that you just moved here from the Unova region, right?" Kryztal asked; Skylar nodded. "So what kinds of Pokémon are over there in the Unova region?"
"I don't really know other than the Pokémon that came through town I never met any of the others."
"Oh, so you never left the town you lived in before?"
"I never left the house really. You see I was a sick kid most of my life, when we moved here I suddenly stopped being sick." Roy walked into the room scrolling through the Pokédex.
"The Professor said that we will leave at ten, better get to bed soon or we might have to wait even longer," Roy looked up from the Pokédex. "What's wrong, it looks like I walked into a funeral or something."
"Oh, nothing don't you worry about it Roy." Skylar said quickly. "So we better get to bed if we want to wake up in the morning, right Kryztal? Hehehe," Skylar scratched the back of her head.
"Right, Kryztal can I talk to you for a moment, out here." He said and grabbed her arm. "Alright Kryztal, what's going on?"
"Nothing is wrong; you just came into a weird part in our conversation."
Roy walked back into the room, Skylar was lying down on her bed, and Scy was lying on the top bed on the other side of the room. "No Scy you weigh way more than me, I get the top bunk." Roy went over and pulled on Scy's arm. "Don't worry he doesn't know." Kryztal said while getting on the top bed.
Location: Outside Pokémon Center: Morning
Professor Oak was sitting in his jeep with Kryztal and Skylar waiting for Roy. "Roy, hurry up, you're going to make us late." Kryztal yelled out. Roy came running out of the Pokémon Center, followed closely by Scy. "Sorry, mom wouldn't stop talking, and your dad insisted that you come home right at this moment."
"Why does he want me to come home right now?"
"Who knows, I think it's because your one of the only women that would actually stay around him."
Skylar and Professor Oak were sitting there looking back and forth between the two sitting in the back seat. Professor Oak started the car and drove off.
"What's that supposed to mean, Roy?"
"Well, um uh, so Professor how long until we can get onto the boat?"
"Don't change the subject I want to know why you think girls don't like my dad!" She yelled at him.
Location: Outskirts Pallet Town: Day
"Okay now from here we have to take a boat to the island. Where all three of you can pick between any of the three starting Pokémon that are there." The group walked onto the small skipper type boat. When Scy stepped onto the boat, it rocked to the side he stood on. "So shall we get going?" Professor Oak asked. When nobody intervened he hit the throttle and the boat took off.
Location: Ocean: Night
The group sat around a lamp sitting in the middle of the boat. "So, Roy, why are you going on this journey?" Skylar asked from across Roy.
"I just want to go out and see the world more than anything, but if I could get famous in the mean time that wouldn't hurt at all." They all laughed a little.
"Kryztal, where did you get that egg?"
"Hmm, oh daddy gave it to me when I left, why?"
"Oh no reason at all, do you mind?" Professor Oak asked holding out his hand. Kryztal shook her head and handed the egg over to him. "Hmm it seems it's going to hatch soon, Roy scan it with your Pokédex see what it says." Roy pulled out his Pokédex and an infrared beam scanned the egg.
"It says no info is available. Is mine broken?" Roy said putting it back in his bag.
"No its not I just believe that this egg belongs to a Pokémon not of this region."
