Rio the Darkness 5: Alternative Darkness

Alright, ladies and gentleman. Here is chapter 40 of this story, and now that the birds and marmosets have joined sides together, they may stand a better chance of defeating King Lenny. Let's see how they can do.

Shortly after recruiting the marmosets to their resistance, Blu, Rico, and Sapphire had traveled back to the underground rebel base with Mauro and his henchmen to plan their attack against King Lenny and the military macaws when they plan to attack his pyramid.

Blu, Sapphire, Joe, David, Rico, and Mauro were together in the meeting room, discussing their plan of action against King Lenny. The birds and monkey were standing near the wall where a picture of King Lenny's pyramid from a birds eye view to plan their attack.

"Okay. What if we leaded a massive force against the front while a couple of us sneak in from the back?" Sapphire suggested, while moving her wingtip across the map to demonstrate what they were to do if they followed along with her plan.

"No good." Mauro said, cross his arms together while showing Sapphire the flaw in her plan. "There are archers all across the protective wall against the pyramid. If any of us tried to fly over, they would shoot us down instantly."

Everyone fell silent for a couple of minutes, each of them trying to figure out an idea of how they would attack King Lenny's pyramid the smart one. David had decided to tell the others his plan which he only thought of seconds ago.

"I got an idea." David replied, while moving towards the map to demonstrate his plan of attack towards the pyramid. "Why not just use one of us a prisoner to trick them into letting us in?"

"I don't think that would work either, David." Sapphire countered, tapping her right talon toe against her toe to help her think better. "None of us are military macaws. None of the military macaws would fall for it."

"True." David skeptically said, him too tapping his chin with a single talon toe, trying to figure out an excellent plan they could think of in order to defeat King Lenny once and for all. "There has to be something we can do...I just can't put a talon on it."

While everyone thought for a moment, Blu had clipped his wingtips together with a huge smile on his beak, finally figuring out the perfect plan. It was full-proof, and possibly to best plan they could use to get the upper advantaged on the military macaws. "I got it! What don't we just get the monkeys to stay in the trees, and when the military see us, us birds attack from above while the monkeys jump out and attack from below? The military would be confused to which one of us to attack first, and by then, we are inside the pyramid."

Sapphire, Joe, David, and Mauro thought it over for a couple of seconds before smiling in agreement, and decided Blu's plan was perfect. It would actually work, and the military would not know what hit them.

"You're right, Blu!" Sapphire enthusiastically said, agreeing with his plan full one hundred percent. "That could just work! And while we keep the military distracted, you go inside the pyramid and bring the King down!"

Blu's happy expression soon changed after Sapphire had just finished saying that sentence. He would be the one to have to bring King Lenny down? How could he do it? Blu still was not that powerful enough and has lack of skills to defeat him.

He spoke to Sapphire while holding his head to in shame that he could not go through with this. "Sapphire...I can't..."

"You can't?" Sapphire quiered, cocking her head to the side in confusion with an eyebrow archer, wondering why Blu did not want to go through with his? It was his plan after all. "What do you mean, you can't? Blu, this was your idea."

"I know. But I can't defeat King Lenny. He's too powerful." Blu answered, sitting himself down on a chair with his head still lowered in shame. "Lenny can control Light and he has the skills of a trained military macaw. What do I have? Just some silly kung-fu moves with black magic...There's nothing I can do..."

"I think I can help with that."

Blu soon followed the sound of the voice (along with Sapphire, Joe, David, and Rico) to the end of the room where he saw a familiar black eagle who was his friend, and the one that gave him the power of the Sacred Water. Blu happily called out to the eagle while running towards him. "Wei! It's you."

Wei the the black eagle who rescued Blu a couple of weeks ago and gave him the secret for the Sacred Water in order to give him power. He shortly left after that, but now he is back, and where could he have been? And what was he here for? And how did he even know about this base?

"That's right." Wei smiled, extending his wing out from his side and patting Blu's back a couple of times, happy to see him again. "I've been watching you, Blu. I see you have not one but three powers from the Sacred Water. Not many could survive that."

"What can I say?" Blu chuckled, nervously rubbing the back of his feathery neck with his wing before he decided to ask what Wei was doing here. "But what are you doing here, Wei?"

"You said you lack skills. But I can give you those skills." Wei answered to the blue macaw's question while smiling. "I may be quite old, but I can train you, Blu. I can make you into the warrior you need to be."

"You can?" Blu quered, wondering how in the World Wei could train Blu to become a warrior in such short time? Could it really be possible? "But, we don't have a lot of time-"

Blu was cut off by Wei, who interrupted his sentence to answer him before Blu would panic too much. "Blu, I can make you into a true warrior in three days. That's all I need. Three days."

Blu thought about it for a couple of moments while looking at Wei and back to his friends at the same time. He hesitated at first, but with not much choice left, he decided to do it. "Okay, Wei. I'll do it. If you believe you can make me into a warrior in three days, then I have faith in you."

"That's what I wanted to hear." Wei replied smiling, before beckoning for Blu to follow him out of the meeting room they were in. "Come, Blu. We have much to do."

Blu followed Wei out of the room, but before leaving, he looked back at the blue macaws, the black hawk, and the marmoset and said something to them with a smile. "Guys, get everything ready in time. I promise to be back in time."

Before long, Blu left the meeting room with Wei, and now, it was time for his training to begin. He knew it may be tough and quite a challenge, but if wants to defeat Lenny, then he does not have much choice.

A short while later, Blu and Wei had traveled to a safe place in the Jungle to begin Blu's training. The blue macaw and black eagle were together in a large open area for more room for them to practice the training.

Wei had brought multiple things with him for the training-including swords. He picked up a sword in his wing and spun it around while him and Blu slowly walked around in circles together. "So, Blu. You know how to take on ten men, right? Well, I can teach you to take on ten thousand men. Are you ready to begin?"

"I'm ready." Blu said while making sure his metal gauntlets were securely tightened on his wings for battle.

"Good." Wei grinned, lifting his sword into the air while putting out his free wing and waving it back for Blu to come at him. "Come and get me."

Blu did not hesitated and charged towards Wei, his wings held out curled like fists. He attempted to hit Wei, only to be countered and flipped towards the ground. "Omph...How did you-"

"Focus, Blu." Wei answered, holding his sword down to Blu's neck. "You need to learn focus. Come, let's try again."

Wei waited for Blu to get back up onto his talons before trying again to try and defeat him. Blu blocked both of Wei's swords attacks and attempted to strike him in the stomach, only to be countered again by Wei, who flipped himself behind Blu and kicked him down with his talon.

He chuckled while placing his sword on the ground and patiently waiting for Blu to get back up onto his talons again. "Blu, you can't just expect to bring an enemy down instantly. You need to save your energy."

Blu merely sighed, realizing Wie was correct, but nethertheless, he decided to try again. Blu used his dash ability to move all around in different directions to confuse Wei and to hopefully win a round against him.

Wei merely waited for Blu to get close before placing out his talon and tripped Blu over when he dashed over it mistakenly. He chuckled again and helped Blu onto his talons. "Good try, Blu."

The second Blu was helped onto his talons, he attempted to strike against him again, only for Wei to dodge and grab his wing before throwing him over his shoulder, landing down on his back in groaning pain. "Oohhh. You're good."

"I've been doing this for a LONG time, Blu." Wei chuckled, helping Blu onto his talons once again. "Come. Let me teach you some things."

Well, Wei is back, ladies and gentleman, and now he is going to train Blu to help him defeat King Lenny. Let's hope he can do it soon.
