Rio the Darkness 5: Alternative Darkness

Alright, everyone. Here is the next update, and let's see what will happen next in this storyline. This would have been published yesterday, but I spent a while writing this on a word document, and when I clicked save, it crashed. :(

Two days had passed since Blu and Wei had left the underground rebel base for Wei to train Blu so he could train to become a warrior and defeat King Lenny once and for all. And in two days, Wei had trained Blu to be almost an excellent learner.

The present day, Blu was doing push-ups for exercise while Wei was making something-a type of liquid for Blu to drink afterwards. Or maybe even soon.

Wei had just finished making the strange liquid and poured it into a bird-sized wooden cup. He walked back over towards Blu, who had just finished his push-ups for the day. "You've done well, Blu. I'm proud of you for coming this far."

"Thanks, Wei. That means a lot to me." Blu replied smiling, before his curious eyes caught the attention of the strange liquid in the cup he was holding. "So, what happens now? Is my training over?"

"Not quite, Blu." Wei answered, handing the wooden cup into Blu's talon for him to drink soon. "You have one more test, and that's to battle me. Drink this liquid, and then you will face me."

Blu examined the strange liquid in the cup while thinking about facing Wei in combat just to pass his training. Was he ready to begin? Could he possibly defeat him in combat? Would he survive this? "Well...I guess this is out."

Without hesitation, Blu drank the mysterious liquid that immediately caused him a massive headache, causing him to fall down onto the ground. He groaned while holding his head with both his wings. "Ohhh. AHH! What is that?!"

The last thing the blue macaw saw was Wei spinning his sword around before he fell into complete darkness yet again.

Blu had woken up after a he drank the mysterious liquid Wei had given to him. He stood back up onto his talons to see he was still in the huge open area in the Jungle, but however, the Jungle looked like it was a wasteland. Could this be an illusion?

"Ohh, man, that hurt." Blu groaned, rubbing the back of his feathery neck with his right wing. "Where am I?"

Before long, Blu was soon greeted by a familiar black eagle, who had approached from the sky with the sword in his wing. Without saying anything, Wei leaped into the air and charged directly towards Blu, using a similar dash power that Blu had to get near him fast.

Blu managed to dodge just in the nick of time, and now he was quite angry. He curled his wings like fists and closely watched Wei, preparing for his next attack.

Wei laughed as his body turned into what looked like sand to Blu, and made multiple versions of himself. Now there was not only one but seven Wei's around the area. They all laughed as they approached with their swords held firmly in their wings.

"Oh dear." Blu gulped, as he rolled at of the way to avoid being hit from their swords. He jumped towards one of the sand-like Wei's and began a series of quick-focused attacks on him, and in seconds, he was defeated, and turned into sand and scattered across the ground. "Woah."

Blu was caught of guard when he was knocked down from behind by one of the fake Weis. He landed down onto his back and panicked when he saw a sword coming down straight at him so he quickly blocked it with both his gauntlets.

Blu leaped back up onto his talons and struck one of the fake Weis directly in the fact, knocking him down and scattering him across the ground. "Man, this is tough. I don't know if I can beat all of them."

"Our numbers are too great!" the remaining sand-like Weis all spoke together simultaneously.

Two of the fake Wei's attempted to strike Blu with their swords, but lucky for Blu, he moved out of the way just in time and tricked them into cutting each other in half, leaving them scattered across the ground.

Blu dodged the remaining three sand-like Weis and now had a determined fact to defeat them. "Okay, let's do this!"

Blu used his dash ability to evade their blades and knocked each of them with hits from his wings until they were all down and scattered across the ground. He panted due to the fact each time he uses his powers, it takes a lot of energy away from him. "I...I did it...It's over."

But what Blu did not know there is that he was wrong. It was far from over soon. All of the scattered sand-like Weis merged together revealing Wei in his true normal form like usual.

He closed his eyes while magically appearing his sword in his wings. Wei opened his eyes and chuckled while raising his blade in the air, preparing to battle Blu once again. "You have done well, Blu. But it's not over yet."

"Then, I suggest we should continue, then." Blu agreed, raising his wings in the air with a determined face that he would not fail and let Wei defeat him in battle. "Let's do it."

Wei yelled out as he made some ninja stars in his wings and threw them towards Blu, who used his dash ability to dodge each one. The black eagle continued to rapidly throw ninja stars at Blu in hopes of hitting him with one.

Blu finally got close to Wei and used his invisibility power to vanish from plain sight in order to get closer to Wei.

Wei looked around in every direction, listening carefully for the blue macaw's talon steps. "Hmmm. Where are you?"

Before he knew it, Wei was struck in the face directly from Blu's face, an before he had the chance to attack, Blu used his dash ability to tackle Wei at least ten feet away. The black eagle screamed out in rage as he flew into the air and in seconds, he disappeared.

Blu arched a curious eyebrow, wondering where Wei had disappeared too all of a sudden. He looked around carefully, his wings raising up in the air just in case. "Hmmmm. Where did he go?"

Blu was soon spooked by Wei, who had jumped out of nowhere with his sword held in the air while screaming out a battle cry.

Wei landed perfectly down in front of Blu, and the second he landed down in front of Blu, he struck multiple strikes against Blu in the quick of an eye, rapidly trying to hit him from both sides as he struck his sword rapidly from the left and right, trying to break through Blu's defensives.

When Blu had saw Wei coming straight at him, he raised his wings in front of his face and rapidly blocked each of Wei's sword attacks, keeping the black eagle from hitting him at all.

The two birds continued to do the same thing for a few seconds: Blu blocking Wei's sword attacks each time he tried to hit him, and Wei continuing to strike against Blu's gauntlets, trying to push back his defenses.

Eventually, Wei held his sword into the air and struck it down towards Blu, who blocked it with both his gauntlets.

Blu groaned as he grabbed onto Wei's blade before he headbutted him and grabbed onto his sword and held it against Wei's neck. He panted a little, thinking he had finally won this battle. "It's over, Wei! I have won!"

Wei merely smirked in response, not really feelings threatened from Blu's comment or the fact he was holding his own sword against his neck. "Oh, but it's far from over, Blu." he countered, before his entire body (including the sword) suddenly turned into sand and faded away out of Blu's grip.

Blu gasped while looking around in all directions, keeping an close eye out and ready for Wei's next attack.

Out from the ground, at least twenty sand-like Wei's had emerged from the sky, each of them with their swords raised in the air. The many sand-like Wei's leaped down towards Blu from the sky, surrounding him in a circle while all saying the same sentence together. "We are legion."

Blu ducked down and waited for all of the Weis to get close. When they were about to strike him with their swords together, Blu slammed his wings onto the ground, sending a huge shockwave through the area from his power and knocking all of the Weis away.

Blu growled as he dodged each one of the fake Weis attacks while striking and countering each one of them.

"You cannot defeat us!" all of the sand-like Weis yelled out to Blu while each one of them attempted to attack him with their blades.

When there was only ten of the fake Weis left, they all disappeared yet again just like last time before they all leaped out from the ground once again with their swords raised in the air, preparing to cut Blu with their weapons. "Our numbers are too great."

Like before, Blu used his shockwave power to send them all away from him once again before hitting and countering them again in combat. He used his dash ability to charge at each one of them and hitting each one of them once at a time until there was not many of them left.

"You cannot beat us!" all of the Weis yelled out to Blu once again while they charged at him from every direction with their swords raised in the air.

Blu smirked as he went visible and moved out of the way, tricking all of the fake Weis into hitting each other and scattering their sand across the ground. He looked around, waiting for the black eagle's next attack.

Once again, Wei in his true form leaped out from the ground with his sword raised in the air, heading directly towards Blu.

Like last time, the second Wei landed down in front of Blu, he struck multiple strikes against Blu in the quick of an eye, rapidly trying to hit him from both sides as he struck his sword rapidly from the left and right, trying to best to break through Blu's defensives.

Blu had his wings raised in front of his face like last time and rapidly blocked each of Exo's katana attacks, keeping the Wei from hitting him at all.

The two birds continued to do the same thing for a few seconds: Blu blocking Wei's sword attacks each time he tried to hit him, and Wei continuing to strike against his gauntlets, trying to push back his defenses.

Eventually, Wei held his sword into the air and struck it down towards Blu, who blocked it with both his gauntlets.

Blu kicked Wei in the stomach, struck him once in the fact, and as he held back his sword and before he would have the chance to attack again, Blu disarmed Wei, knocking the sword out of wings.

Now that he was defenseless, Blu curled his wings like fists again and began a series of quick-focused attacks, rapidly striking hits against Wei's fact, striking even more hits than last time.

After Blu had hit him at least twenty times, Blu hit him in the face with his left wing, and then with his right wing, and then he grabbed Wei and kicked him away, knocking the black eagle onto his back.

Before he would have the chance to recover, Blu quickly grabbed onto Wei's sword and held it to his throat, declaring he had finally won this battle once and for all. "Now, it's over, Wei."

Wei merely smiled in response, impressed by Blu's combat style and happy that those two days of training did not come to be a waste of time after all. He clicked his wingtips together and summoned the area to become normal again, revealing the Jungle in it's normal form. He decided to congratulate Blu on a job well done. "Great job, Blu. You have done well. I'm proud of you."

"Thanks, Wei." Blu smiled, holding his wing out to him and helping Wei stand back up onto his talons. "So, am I ready?"

"You're ready, Blu." Wei smiled, while picking up his sword again from the ground. He placed his wing onto Blu's shoulder, still with a smile on his beak. "Now, come. We best go back to the rebel base. It will be time soon."

And chapter is completed. Blu and Wei fought in combat, and Blu has finally completed his training. Time to attack King Lenny's pyramid soon. Stay tuned for the next chapter, ladies and gentleman.
