Rio the Darkness 5: Alternative Darkness

Okay, everyone, here is the next chapter. It would have been here yesterday, but I couldn't find my charger for my laptop and had no way to finish the chapter. I hope you all will enjoy it. The next day, Blu and Wei had traveled back to the underground after Blu's training was now complete, and he was ready for action. The two birds were back in the planning room with Sapphire, Joe, Rico and David, planning their attack once again against King Lenny's pyramid.

"Okay, so are we sticking with your plan, then, Blu." Sapphire said, making certain that everyone was going to stick with Blu's plan for attacking the pyramid. "So, we get the monkeys to stay in the trees, and when the military see us, the birds attack from above while the monkeys jump out and attack from below. The military will be confused to which one of us to attack first, and by then, we are inside the pyramid?"

"That's correct, Sapphire." Blu answered, smiling in agreement while folding his wings together across his chest. "And while the rest of us handle the military off, I'll go inside the pyramid and find King Lenny. That's if I am ready, of course?"

"You are more than ready, my friend." Wei replied smiling, placing his right wing onto the blue macaw's shoulder. "As they say where I am from, Yuàn hǎoyùn yǔ nǐ tóng zài."

"What does that mean, Wei?" Blu inquired, arching a curious eyebrow with a curious face to the black eagle.

"It means, 'May the best of luck be with you'." Wei answered.

"Okay, everyone. I guess this is it, then." Sapphire announced, declaring it was time for war soon. "Soon, it will be time to take back our home, and soon," Sapphire's voice got a little angier and deeper as she continued. "we will DEFEAT KING LENNY, AND END HIS RULE THROUGH ALL OF RIO!"

"HOORAY!" everyone in the room cheered, agreeing fully to Sapphire's plan; some even raising drinks in their wings. Especially Rico of course, who was holding up a huge bottle of vodka in his wing before drinking out of the entire thing.

The following day at King Lenny's pyramid, a few archer military macaws were patrolling the wall around the pyramid, protecting it well while keeping a close eye out for any trouble or anyone that would dare try and get close.

One of the military macaws panicked a little when he saw a few birds outside the main gate so he tapped his partner next to him. "Hey, hey, look! What are they doing?"

The other military macaw turned his attention to the ground where he saw his partner was indeed correct. There were a bunch of birds waiting there, and in front of them all was four blue macaws, a black hawk, and a marmoset.

The military macaw beckoned for everyone to take aim and he decided to yell out a warning first to them. "Everyone! You are in a restricted area! Leave there or face the consequences!"

All of the birds did not listen and merely stood where they were, not listening to a single word the military macaw was ordering.

The military macaw raised his bow and arrow, preparing to fire at them. "Okay, men. They had their chance. Get ready...Take aim...And fi-"

The military macaw was soon cut off by the sound of yells coming from a nearby tree. He looked up to see a bunch of marmosets coming directly at them, seconds later, the birds that were standing there extended their wings and flew up into the air, coming straight for them.

The other military macaws panicked as did not know what to do so they asked their Captain who was in charge of them. "Um, what do we do?"

"Fire, you idiots!" the military macaw captain yelled, shooting multiple arrows throughout the sky.

"Which ones sir?" a military macaw inquired. "The birds or the monkeys!?"

"Shoot them all you idiots!" the captain yelled, before he was soon caught of guard and tackled from where he was standing by a couple of marmosets.

All of the birds flew over the main wall while the marmosets climbed over it, all of them screaming out battle cries as they landed down inside an open area and charged straight towards all the military macaws in the area.

A military macaw pointed a single wingtip at the birds and monkeys and bellowed as loud as he could at the top of his lungs, ordering all of them to move in and attack. "GET THE-E-E-E-M!"

I'm waking up to ash and dust

I'm breathing in the chemicals

The rebels and the monkeys engaged in combat with all of the military macaws around the entire area, each of them battling each other. Everyone was in combat with a different type of enemy, trying their best to beat them.

I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse

The blue macaw named Blu, who was standing in the middle of the battlefield, looked around the area, figuring out how he was going to win this. Before he could find King Lenny, he would have to help out the rebels first.

Blu helped out by taking down a couple of military macaws using only his skills. He would have to save his powers to later in order to save up his energy when he will confront King Lenny.

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow

Not too far from Blu, Cobalt the blue macaw was holding off a few military macaws, and a surprise to Blu, he seemed to hold his own against the military macaws.

Blu yelled out to him while he blocked a military macaws' axe with his gauntlets before kicking him away. "You handle yourself well, Cobalt!"

"There comes a time where all men must-" Cobalt was interrupted by a military macaw, who tried to sneak up on him from behind but was countered and easily thrown away. Cobalt repeated his sentence again since he was rudely interrupted. "There comes a time where all men must-"

The blue macaw was interrupted again by yet another military macaw. He decided to forgot what he was saying while yelling out to Blu. "Ahh! You get me point, Blu!"

Somewhere amongst the battlefield, Ricardo the black hawk was rapidly beating up a military macaw, who had been knocked to the ground. He laughed when he saw the military macaw was knocked out completely. "Ha-ha! Take that, you-oh man!"

Rico was soon cut off when he felt something tight grab onto him and hold him up in the air. He struggled to get free while he saw his attacker; which was no other than Anton; Raxos' little nephew, who was back for more. "Well, well, look who it is. Back for more."

Rico bit Anton's giant toe, causing him to let go of his grip. The hawk growled as he prepared to charge towards the giant macaw and take him down for good this time. "I've just about had enough of you! A-a-a-a-h-h-h!"

Rico leaped into the air with his talon held out and struck Anton straight in the fact with a fly kick, knocking him out completely as he began to lose balance.

Anton began falling down towards two military macaws, who both gulped when they saw Anton coming straight at them, and they knew this was not going to end well. "Uh-oh!"

I raise my flags, don my clothes
It's a revolution, I suppose
We'll paint it red to fit right in

Nearby, Wei the black eagle had been holding his own by knocking any military macaw that came near him using his bo staff as his main weapon. He knocked a few military macaws out of the way while laughing a little. "I'm so glad I would not dare miss the day the rebels finally battle for freedom!"

"Concentrate on the battle, Wei!" Blu called out to him while fending off a couple of military macaws carrying weapons.

In another part of the battlefield, the blue macaws Sapphire and Joe were holding off the military macaws with each other as brother and sister, fending them off using teamwork and trust to keep them from getting hurt.

"Sapphire, one on your right!" Joe quickly warned, yelling out loud so she heard him quite clearly.

Sapphire quickly turned around to see a military macaw holding a stun stick preparing to stun Sapphire only for her to grab his wing and easily disarmed him before kicking him in his stomach and then using her wings to knock him down. She thanked her brother while panting a little. "Thanks Joe!"

Nearby, the young yellow macaw named Chloe had been surrounded by three military macaws, who fought this was going to be pretty easy. They all laughed as they cracked their wings together. "Hehe, this should be fun!"

The young macaw yelled out to them as she performed different kung fu moves (not hitting anyone of course) and screamed out in rage to show she was not messing around. Chloe stood still and yelled out to the military macaws. "OKAY! Who wants some!?"

The three military macaws all gulped in response as they ran away, afraid of the young macaw. They all called out back to her while running away.

"Not me!"

"Uh-uh!"

"Me, neither!"

Chloe laughed in response as she happily skipped away, using her fake moves worked once again. "Oh, silly macaws. Works every time."

Meanwhile, with the blue macaw named David, he was using a sword as a weapon rather than using his wings because before he became a medic, David had been trained how to use a sword.

He yelled out battle cries as he used his sword to block enemy attacks and knock them away or using his sword to send fear into them and keep them at bay. "Yeah, who wants to mess with me!? Come on!"

All systems go, the sun hasn't died
Deep in my bones, straight from inside

Nearby from Blu, the purple macaw named Crexis was trapped by two military macaws, who were standing on both his right and left, waiting to attack at any moment. One of the military macaws yelled out to the other before they began charging towards Crexis. "Get him, now!"

Crexis waited until they were close before hovering into the air by flying, tricking the two macaws into running into each other and knocking each other out from the force of impact. Crexis landed back down onto the ground while brushing his wings together. "Suckers."

Back with Blu, he looked around and panicked a little when a martial-artist (one of the two Raxos had sent not too long ago to guard the pyramid for King Lenny) leaped down in front of Blu with a katana blade in his wings. He rapidly struck multiple strikes towards Blu, rapidly trying to hit him from both sides as he struck his sword rapidly from the left and right, trying to best break through Blu's defensives.

Blu blocked his sword attacks each time he dodged the blade attacks until he saw his chance and grabbed the blade using both of his wings before disarming the martial-artist using his gauntlet.

Blu through the katana away from them both and curled his wings like fists before he began a series of quick, focused attacks against him, rapidly hitting him in the stomach until he was down. He panted while trying his best to get his words out from his beak. "Never...Never try and do that again!"

Blu soon found himself surrounded by at least ten different military macaws, each of them carrying different types of various weapons in their wings. He leaned down and slammed his wings into the ground, sending a huge shockwave throughout the ground and sending all of the military macaws scattered throughout the area.

Blu soon picked up a katana blade he saw just laying there on the ground like it wanted to be picked up. Blu leaned down and picked up the katana in his wings before raising it in the air and shouting out a battle cry for all of the rebels and the marmosets to hear. "FREEDOM!"

All of the bird rebels and marmosets heard the word "Freedom" shoot through their eardrums, and without hesitation, they all yelled out the same thing too. "FREEDO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-M!"

And the chapter is completed. Blu, Sapphire, Joe, David, and Rico have successfully invaded King Lenny's pyramid with their army and battled like there will be no tomorrow. And as you can see, I gave every character with a short role in this story a scene such as: Chloe the yellow macaw, Cobalt the blue macaw, and Crexis the purple macaw.
