"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"
...
"What? It was at the beginning of the month?"
...
"And now I'm just talking like an idiot whose an entire month late?"
...
"..."
...
"You could have told me this BEFORE I got up here...you know that, right?"
...
"Right. Thanks for nothing buddy." Kenta shakes his head in annoyance. "Whatever. ANYWAY, happy new year all! First chapter of the year is ready and raring to go! Hope the rest of the year is as eventful for this story as it has been these past few months!"
Naruto walks up to Kenta, holding a small bottle of champagne. "TO THE NEW YEAR!"
"KANPAI! CHEERS!"
"Ummm...why exactly did you bring us here?" Midna asked, shivering in the cold once more. It wasn't as bad as before, as Yeto had given her a ginormous coat, but it was still mildy cold out.
"WAHAHAHAAA! YETO AND YETA SHOW YOU SOMETHING FUN!" He laughed loudly, standing at the top of a large hill. Yeta smiled brightly, excited to see the outcome. "Yeto wants to thank you for coming to visit, so Yeto let you try something fun!" The large yeti smacked the nearby tree, two large, frozen leaves smacking onto the snow. "Come! Try and race against Yeto!" He said, pointing at the leaves. Naruto, always eager to try something new, carefully stood on one of the leaves, amazed at how solid it was. Midna, unsure of the two leaves, walked over to the other leaf before Yeto himself hopped onto it, wobbling back and forth uncontrollably, causing Midna to back away. Yeto suddenly had a gleam in his eye, quickly gaining perfect balance and pushing into the snow with his free foot, pushing himself forward and down the mountainside.
"Oh...ooooOOOHHH!" Naruto's eyes gleamed brightly as he began shaking in excitement, eager to try it himself. Midna walked over to the leaf Naruto was on, the blonde just about to push off himself, when Yeta sneaked up behind the orange-haired vixen, bumping into her and knocking her onto the sled, Naruto tumbling back into her lap.
"HEY! YETA!" Midna shouted backwards as the two suddenly careened down the mountainside, Yeta giggling micheviously as she hopped onto her stomach like a penguin before sliding down the mountain herself. "NARUTO! LOOK OUT!" The Twili shouted as a tree quickly came into view. Naruto gripped the sides of the leaf and tried pulling to the side, Midna also leaning into the turn, the two narrowly missing the tree.
"Oh...Ohhhhh maaan!" Naruto's eyes were widening more and more, a fierce grin on his face. "THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME!" He cackled, quickly spinning around to see Midna's worried face. "Let's do it Midna! Let's beat him!"
"ARE YOU FUCKING NUTS!? WE CAN'T EVEN FUCKING CONTROL THIS THING!"
"Then let's do it together!" He gripped her legs, wrapping them around his stomach before leaning forward, the two quickly gaining speed.
"YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" She squeaked, gripping onto his back as the two sped down the mountain.
"There! Now you get it!" Yeta giggled as she sped past them, spinning around and laughing. "See? So much fun!" She laughed, Midna watching her quietly.
'I could have killed her...and she wouldn't be smiling like this anymore...'
"COME ON MIDNA! TURN!" Naruto shouted, snapping the Twili out of her thoughts, noticing another set of trees. She glared, her hair quickly flipping to life, ready to slice the tree in half before Naruto twisted to the side, making them miss the tree. "Come on! We can do this Midna!" He grinned, looking back. Midna stared at the blonde for a second, her hair returning to normal. Violence...really wasn't needed here...was it?
She looked forward, Yeta already miles ahead of the two. She flipped up into the air, giggling happily before landing into the snow, coming to a dead stop. She popped up out of the snow, still giggling and laughing. Midna turned back to the blonde, who was trying to speed up more.
Several memories crossed her mind.
"Princess, your magic is growing stronger, but you MUST learn discipline!" The young Twili looked out the window, seeing several children playing in the courtyard. "You must learn to focus on the task at hand!"
"Yes, elder."
"Lady Midna! It's time for your magical training! You have been chosen to lead our people after all. It would not do if you were not a powerful sorceress!"
"Yes, elder."
"LADY MIDNA! YOU MUST NOT DIVULGE YOURSELF IN SUCH FRILLY ACTIVITIES! THEY DO NOTHING BUT WEAKEN YOUR MAGICAL ABILITIES!"
"Yes, elder."
"You have a responsibility, and you must do it alone."
"I understand, elder."
BAM!
Midna came face to face with a pile of snow, the two having crashed into a snow mound. The Twili came up, shaking her head before glaring at Naruto. "What the hell!? Where were you looking!?" Naruto stood up, brushing off the snow before walking over to Midna, holding out a hand. She took it and was quickly yanked up, staring into Naruto's glaring, red eyes.
"I was looking in front of me." He said quietly, looking over to Yeto and Yeta, who slid up to the two. Yeta came up smiling, but her smile quickly faded at Naruto's face. "Sorry guys, me and Midna are going back up the mountain for one more try, all right?" He smiled. When he opened his eyes however, they were still crimson red. He quickly picked Midna up and put her on his back, picking up the sled and taking large leaps back up the mountain. Midna was quiet as the blonde went back up the mountain, but he stopped halfway up the mountainside. "I want you to steer it this time." He said, flopping the sled down. Midna opened her mouth to refuse, but Naruto covered her mouth with his hand, his eyes still red.
'He only has those eyes...when he's mad...' She thought quietly. But why was he mad? What did she do?
She slowly sat down in front of the blonde, Naruto pushing them a little and starting them down the mountain, but instead of wrapping his legs or arms around the Twili, he simply folded his arms and sat behind her, his legs crossed.
"You're not even going to help?" She muttered, trying to turn the sled. As the two began their descent once more, she quickly found it more and more difficult to turn the sled. Finally using her magic, she tried turning the sled more sharply, though it only ended with the two flopping into the snow. "DAMMIT!" She shouted as she turned to the sled, wanting to smash it to pieces. Naruto picked it back up and put it back on the ground, motioning her over again. She wanted to scream and say no, to just stop. But Naruto's face told her he would have none of that, so she once more sat on the sled, this time Naruto wrapping his legs and arms around the Twili. Midna pushed the two off once more as Naruto began to lean into her turns.
Once more they went down the hill, Midna noticing Yeta and Yeto near the bottom, still waiting for them. This time however, the sled seemed to move much easier. The turns came better, and she felt no need to use her magic. Naruto pulled his legs away from Midna as they came closer to the bottom of the hill, slowing the sled to a stop.
"Was it easier this time?" Naruto asked simply, Midna turning around to look at him, but found she couldn't meet his gaze. Something inside her kept her from doing so. She sat there, quietly nodding. "Do you know why?" She finally looked up to him to see his eyes were now purple, half red and half blue, but his irises were still slit. He was still mad, but not as much as before? Why was he even mad in the first place?
"No...not really..." A smile finally broke out across the blonde's face.
"It's because you weren't sliding alone." Naruto wrapped his arms around the Twili, pulling her close. "At first, you were the only one steering, moving your weight with the turns." He leaned her to the left and then to the right. "If you were the only one riding this sled, it would have been super easy to make those turns before." He leaned his head forward, causing her to look up at him. "But you weren't alone, you had someone with you. And because of that, the extra weight made it hard to move the sled the way you wanted it to." Midna looked down at the sled, her shoulders drooping as she finally relaxed against the blonde.
"You're still mad though..."
"Let me finish." He said, holding her closer. "The more weight you're carrying, the harder it is to move...UNLESS someone is helping you." He rested his chin on her head. "If you try carrying the weight of responsibility for the entire Twilight race by yourself, you'll only fail." Midna's breath caught in her throat, her eyes wide. "What your elders taught you was a load of bullshit. Taking on everything by yourself and expecting to do it flawlessly is nothing but a fantasy. The burden you bear is way too great for you to carry it all by yourself." He held her tighter, his eyes finally returning to their original, shimmering blue color. "That's why I'm here. To lessen that burden...so that you can keep going." Midna was quiet as the two sat in silence, Naruto breathing in deeply. "You told me that I was going to help you find the Fused Shadow pieces, and now the shards of the Mirror of Twilight. So stop trying to worry about it all by yourself. Let me take some of the load off of your shoulders. You're no fun if you're all stiff like this. Relax already."
"You saw my memories..." Midna said quietly as Naruto shrugged.
"You've seen mine, so we're even."
"Naruto...you know then..."
"Know what?" He smirked, knowing where she was going with this.
"Who I am..."
"Do you think I'm going to treat you any differently because of that?" Midna's shoulders began shaking, Naruto's grip tightening. "Well exCUUUUUUSE ME princess, but I already told you I don't care who you are or where you're from." He smiled as he rested his head on her shoulder, Midna sobbing quietly. "I only care about what's happening to the person whose been traveling with me since day one." Her face scrunched up tightly as the tears began to freely fall.
"Y-you fucking idiot..." She sobbed, resting her head on his jacket sleeve. "You and your stupid shenanigans...I've b-become a fucking tearfest since I met you..."
"I'm okay with that." Naruto grinned. "As long as you're not crying because you're sad, I'll keep making you cry for as long as I'm with you." He smiled, Midna trying to glare at him.
"And when you're no longer here?" Naruto shrugged.
"I'm sure I'll find a way to bug you some more." He grinned, smiling cheekily. She couldn't help the smirk that finally played out onto her face. "So, want to try one more time?" He grinned, his eyes closing from his smile.
"Only if you fucking steer this time."
"Only if you actually help me from crashing into another snow mound." He cackled, Midna blushing as she realized that SHE was the reason they had crashed earlier.
"OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT!"
"TURN YOU IDIOT!"
"I'M TURNING ALREADY!"
"WATCH OUT!"
POOMF!
Yeta and Yeto smiled as Naruto and Midna popped out of the snow, laughing their asses off. Whatever it was that had been troubling them a few moments ago, it was now long gone.
"Can't you fucking steer this thing?" Midna shouted, her grin betraying her anger.
"I can, but it seems YOU can't direct it correctly!" He laughed, trying to glare at the Twili.
"Oh come on! YOU were the one driving this time!"
"Well what if I'm still disoriented from the last time, huh?"
PAF!
Something cold smacked the blonde across the face. Touching a hand to his face and looking down, Naruto found snow was on his hand. "Ohoho...so we're starting THIS again are we?" Naruto grinned at Midna, who was whistling innocently as her magic hair formed several more snowballs. "All right, TWO CAN PLAY THIS GAME!" Naruto grinned as several clones appeared next to him. "IT'S WAR!" They shouted, only for every single one of his clones to disappear, Midna grinning playfully at Naruto's shocked face.
"Did you really think that I'd gotten weaker since we met your teachers?" She smirked, Naruto's competitive nature going full throttle. Her smirk was wiped away as thousands of Narutos suddenly filled the mountainside, all of them grinning evilly. "Uh...maybe not THAT good..."
"MWUAHAHAHAAAA!" They all began to cackle before a giant snowball smashed into the middle of the wave or orange and yellow, dozens of white clouds of smoke erupting underneath the snow. Midna turned around to see Yeta waddling over to her, grinning in excitement.
"Uh! Yeta help Midna!" She hopped before slamming the ground, dozens of Perfect Snowballs popping up around the two. "Yeta make snowballs for Midna!" Midna gained an evil gleam in her eye as she glared at the still smirking Narutos, who had a good reason to do so as Yeto had walked over to their side.
"GUYS VERSUS GIRLS!" They all shouted, one Naruto sneaking off to the side and hiding behind a tree. As the battle began to rage, Midna quickly decamating a large number of Narutos, she noticed at least twelve of them had jumped up the mountain. Her gut was telling her to do something about them, but the barrage of orange, yellow and white kept her focused on the Narutos in front of her. Yeta was suddenly squished by a large mound of snow, Yeto laughing as she shook it off, glaring at the large yeti.
"Ooooh! Husband!" A large swirl of snow and ice appeared above Yeto, who squeaked as a gigantic snowball appeared above his head before being dropped onto him. Had Midna been holding a fan she would have been waving it, laughing like an aristocrat.
"Face it, you guys are done for!" She smiled as only a handful of clones remained, all of them still grinning.
"And you guys are about to go splat!" Midna and Yeta stared at the clones in confusion before a large shadow overlapped them. The two looked up as the remaining Narutos unburied Yeto before quickly dragging him away. A large snowball stood further up the mountain, one Naruto standing at its top, a red pigmentation having formed around his eyes, which were now yellow in color.
"Oooooohh fuck me sideways..." Midna groaned as the snowball suddenly began rolling down the mountainside, growing larger still as it began picking up speed. Midna quickly flashed a flaming spear above her hand, glaring at the ever looming snowball before snapping it at the rolling death ball. The Sage Mode Naruto on top grinned as he continued rolling the snowball down the hill, quickly forming several Rasengans in his hand. He suddenly hopped up before tossing all of the spiral chakra spheres like Shuriken at the snowball, the giant orb suddenly exploding into millions of smaller snowballs, all still heading towards Midna and Yeta as her spear passed through the air where the giant snowball used to be. "OoooooOOOOOHHHH FUCK!"
"HAHAHAA! Guys win!" Naruto cheered as the group finally came back to the manor, Yeta glaring at the two boys and pouting.
"Then you get no dinner." She said, humphing. Naruto and Yeto suddenly froze, slumping over before Naruto slowly raised a fist up in mock victory.
"Girls win..." He grumbled. Midna chuckled as Yeta began smiling again, nodding her head.
"That's better." She said triumphantly. Naruto stopped as he looked up at the manor, a small smile breaking out across his face. He had told Midna he wanted to stay one more day to make sure the Yetis were okay, and that they would leave either that evening or the next morning. She had agreed, but only half-heartedly. Looking at what had happened today, it was obvious she had become extremely conscious of Yeta and her own past. Now however, seeing the two conversing normally, Naruto was convinced that it wasn't just the Yetis that had healed, but Midna herself.
"All right, after we eat, it's time for me and Midna to head out again." Naruto had said once they entered the yeti's abode. Yeto smiled, nodding his head before Yeta turned around, a small frown on her face.
"Un...you must go already?" Naruto smiled, nodding as Midna was engulfed in a black shadow before revealing her Impish form.
"We've stayed long enough, and it doesn't look like anymore monsters will come to your house anymore." He then grinned, locking his hands behind his head. "But we had a lot of fun today! We'll definitely come back one day!" Midna glanced down at the ground, holding her arms behind her back. She then looked over to Yeta, who gave her a worried look. A small smile broke out across Midna's face.
"Yeah...we will."
"AAAH! WARMTH! SWEET SWEET WARMTH! No need to wrap myself in layers and layers of clothing! It's so nice!" Midna began weeping tears of joy as they stood once more on Hyrule's sunny fields, Naruto chuckling off to the side.
"It's like you didn't like the cold or something." Midna glared at him from her spot on the ground.
"Shut up! I told you there was no such weather in the Twilight Realm!" He began laughing harder at her irritated face.
"HOOOOOIIII!" A voice called out across the fields, causing Naruto and Midna to turn around, the imp flashing back into her human form. She twitched as she realized that she had been transforming back to her normal form instead of her shadowy form much more often lately, and quickly changed back. She needed to start saving her magic again, in case something were to happen. True, it didn't take much magic to change her shape now, but in a fight, every little bit helped.
"Oh! It's Tobi!" Naruto stated aloud, shocked. The strangely masked mailman ran up to Naruto, taking deep breaths before snapping his hands back into a salute. The first time Naruto had met him, Sasuke had just recently beaten his ass, so he wasn't exactly in the best of moods and probably came off as rude. He wanted to change that this time around. "What can I help you with Tobi?" Naruto asked, smiling at the man. Humming his strange tune and pulling out a letter, he handed it to Naruto, smiling behind his mask.
"Greetings! Tobi. I have a letter for Naruto! Tobi." He handed the blonde a letter before looking around, catching Naruto's eye.
"Is something the matter?" The blonde asked, the letter still in his hand.
"I thought there was someone else here. Tobi. I have another letter for someone named Midna. Tobi." Naruto stared at the man in shock, Midna looking up from his shadow with curious eyes. Someone had sent her a letter? Who?
"Oh, she'll be back in a second. Did you want me to give it to her?" Naruto offered the man, who seemed to be very much against the idea.
"I'm sorry, but my code does not allow me to let someone else do my job. Too easy for letters to be stolen." Naruto flinched at the man's sudden change of attitude, wondering why he hadn't added his name at the end like he usually did. He sounded like he was quite serious about this matter. He almost sounded like a ninja emissary or something. I mean, there was nothing wrong with it or anything, but he just didn't expect someone who was so...whacky...to have such a hardened battle-like side to him. Almost like a split personality. He kind of reminded him of himself honestly...
Naruto's eyes widened. Wait...wasn't this...Obito? From the 4th Great Ninja War! Several images flooded Naruto's mind as he looked at the masked man in front of him. Holy shit, even the mask was the same! How did he not notice that!?
"But...you seem like a trustworthy guy..." Obito seemed to be at an impasse as to what he should do. Naruto's relieved smile caught his eye from behind the mask.
"She's my partner. I've been traveling with her for awhile and she just needed to get something. If you don't want to give it to me, you can always drop it off at Telma's Bar. That's our next destination anyway. That way you can stick to your code." Obito stared at Naruto's relaxed, honest smile. A smile appeared behind Obito's mask before he nodded.
"All right...Well then! Tobi. I guess I'll leave it with you! Tobi." He handed the surprised Naruto the letter. "People have told me you've been seen with her a lot lately, and you seem like a trustworthy guy. Tobi. Just make sure she gets it! Tobi." With that he snapped his arm into a salute, Naruto quickly returning the salute with a grin on his face. "All right then! Tobi. Time to get back to my deliveries! Tobi." With that, he took off across the fields.
"Make sure you're not late on any of them!" Naruto shouted out after him, a large grin still plastered onto his face. Tobi spun around, flipping him two thumbs up before continuing his run out into the country-side. "Heehee. I wonder if he's as strong as he used to be." Naruto wondered. The guy HAD been running across Hyrule Fields for at least a few weeks, and he was still doing so. Either he was super strong, like in Naruto's world, or he could be just really sneaky. OR he was really good at running away.
"So...a letter huh?" She asked, making Naruto jump a little. He had forgotten about her and the letters.
"Oh yeah..." He quickly handed her the letter, to which she merely phased into her more solid form and opened the letter. Naruto, though curious, decided he'd let her have her privacy. He opened up his own letter to find that, surprisingly, it was from Rusl!
Naruto,
I've been hearing quite a bit about your adventure from Sarutobi and Tsunade. It seems you've been doing much more than simply rescuing the children. I don't know what has been going on, but It seems you've been looking for some sort of magical artifacts with someone.
'I TOLD those guys to keep QUIET about that...' Naruto thought bitterly. Well...then again, they couldn't exactly keep quiet if they were helping him look...damn them and their loopholes...
I've found something interesting near the back of Faron Woods that I think may help you. When you get a chance, please come back to Ordon Village.
Rusl
Naruto twitched at the thought of Midna knowing she had been talked about. What would she say if she knew that Rusl had heard about her and that the others had talked to him?
"It seems Rusl has learned about me..." She said, Naruto tensing. Had she read over his shoulder!? He turned to see that she wasn't leaning over his shoulder, instead still floating a few inches away from him. However, it seemed she was reading the letter she was given. Oh yeah, she got one too. MAN he was blanking on a lot of things lately...
"What did it say?" Naruto asked, still worried.
"Probably the same thing yours did. He introduced himself, said he found something that might be of interest to me, and asked me to come to Ordon Woods. And if I saw you to pass the message along to you."
Naruto breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't seem angry. Guess he was going back home then. A thought suddenly occurred to the blonde however, causing his eyes to widen.
"Well? Are we going to go?" He asked, glancing away for a moment. Midna stared at him in shock.
"We don't have any other leads right now, he's a friend of yours AND it's in a place you know about, and you're asking if we're going to go?" Naruto shrugged as he continued not to make eye contact.
"I've tried leads before and they don't always work. If you think we should give it a shot, we can go, but if you think it's a waste of time we can look in town since we're already here." Midna stared at him, still shocked as he put his arms behind his head, looking off into the distance. He seemed REALLY off...
She floated over to the blonde and put the back of her hand to his forehead, Naruto's eyes widening in shock, Midna noticing his face had already started turning red. He quickly hopped back, not looking her in the eye. "W-what? Don't scare me like that..." He seemed really panicked for some reason.
"Naruto? Are you okay?" She asked, now officially worried. Naruto seemed really jumpy...had the letter he got from Rusl said something else? "What's wrong?"
He looked to her before glancing off to the side. He couldn't tell her what had really crossed his mind, so he tried thinking up something else to say.
"W-well..." His eyes darted back and forth, trying to think of something before he got an idea. "Well, Rusl said he wanted to show us something, right?" She nodded, still worried, but confused. "Then that would mean we would be going to meet him..." She stared at him, still wondering where in the world he was going with all of this. "So...are you going to meet him...with the transformation on?" Shit, that sounded so stupidly obvious...of course she was! His face flushed. Goddammit, he was such an idiot.
"...Um...yes? Should I not?" She asked, thoroughly confused. Naruto quickly spun back around to her, his face seemingly redder than before as he waved his hands in panic.
"Nononono! Nothing like that! It's just-!" He quickly snapped his glare away. He probably had steam coming out of his ears at this point. "It's n-nothing! It's just something stupid I thought of..." He quickly snapped his head back around, his face still red. "And no, it's nothing important! J-just ignore me, all right?" He quickly began marching in the direction of Ordon Village. He couldn't tell her his mind had just trailed straight into the gutter! The moment he realized he was going back to Ordon Village, he immediately thought about his home and how he'd be able to finally sleep in his own bed again...but the moment he thought that...
"Good morning, Naruto..."
His face erupted into flames. DAMMIT! HE THOUGHT OF IT AGAIN! Midna was going to be in his house...and she would be in her normal human form...
'I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep...' He thought in embarrassment, not realizing his strides had become ridiculously long, making Midna have to fly quite fast to keep up with him. If she wasn't worried before, she was now. Naruto seemed super agitated right now, but what in the world could have made him so agitated? As the source of his agitation sped alongside him, Naruto almost dreaded the meeting that was to take place.
'Rusl actually likes to talk a lot...at least, to me he does. And his wife...' Naruto glanced behind him, Midna still watching him curiously. 'Oh man...I really hope she doesn't jump to any conclusions...'
"Naruto! Welcome! Come in, come in!" Rusl smiled as Naruto walked in, Midna right behind him. They had made it to the village that evening, Midna having transformed before they got to Ordon Spring. Rusl's eyes rose slightly as Midna walked behind Naruto before stopping and bowing to him.
"Greetings, Rusl." She said courteously. A smile graced Rusl as he put a hand to her shoulder, causing the Twili's eyes to widen in the slightest of ways.
"Please, miss Midna, there is no need to be so uptight." He waved a hand to the inside of his home. "This is simply a small meal to be shared. We will speak of my findings tomorrow." She slowly nodded, stepping into the house. What had surprised her wasn't the fact he wanted her to relax, but the fact that he had barely batted an eyelash at her attire.
Tsunami quickly and excitedly brought her guests around to the table before quickly hurrying into the kitchen. Naruto smiled as he looked around the room. It had been quite a long time since he last was in their house. The last time he had come here...
He suddenly flinched, a pained expression on his face. The last time he was here...the sword...
"I see that you delivered the sword to Hyrule castle..." Rusl said trying to strike up a conversation, Naruto immediately flinching.
"Ah, uh...n-no...I didn't..." He said quietly, not noticing Rusl's tensing face.
"Ah...of course...the incident that had happened just as you were leaving..."
"B-but I still have it!" Naruto blurted out. Rusl smiled as he put a hand to Naruto's shoulder, giving him a light shake.
"I understand Naruto...nobody was expecting the children to have been kidnapped...you are not at fault."
"He did try to deliver the sword..." Midna suddenly spoke, putting the tea she had been given back down on the table. "However, he was asked to put it on hold in order to help with my quest." She slowly looked up to Rusl, watching him carefully, silently. Just as the elders had taught her. "I had asked Princess Zelda to help me with something, and she in turn presented Naruto to me." Rusl's eyes widened, as did Naruto's. He didn't think she would speak of something so private, let alone touch a topic that was difficult to talk about for her.
"You've met the princess!?" Rusl snapped his head back towards Naruto, the blonde visibly tensing before slowly nodding his head. Rusl realized Naruto's unnatural nervousness and took a deep breath. "I see...then the magical artifacts you are looking for, is a request from the princess herself..." He nodded his head. "Then I will not pry." He instead turned to Midna with a confident smile on his face. "The princess could not have chosen a better person to help you." He said, Naruto's eyes widening as Midna returned the old swordsman's gaze with a smile of her own.
"Yes, he has already surprised me multiple times with his adaptability." She couldn't help the chuckle that escaped her at Naruto's dumbfounded expression. She was complimenting him...SHE was! "I could not have asked for a better partner to help me in my search." A blush seared across Naruto's face. Dammit, she was being really smooth with her talking today...
"In that case, I will explain a little of what I have found..." He then noticed Tsunami bringing in her freshly home-cooked meal. "...after dinner." He finished, noticing Midna's pouting glare. Naruto clapped his hands in heartfelt thanks, his stomach growling loudly.
"It feels like it's been forever since I last ate a good meal..." He thanked the housewife repeatedly as she happily placed the meal on the table. After the group finished dinner, Tsunami excused herself from the table, gathering up the dishes. Glancing at the blonde for a moment, Midna stood up before following after Tsunami, offering to help. Naruto, though shocked by it, wondered if there was an alterior motive to her actions. He ignored it however as Rusl waved for him to follow.
"It has been a long time since we last ate at this table together..." He said, Naruto smiling as he stared at the floor, sitting on a chair across from the swordsman. This house had a lot of good memories inside of it. "But as for the important finding..." He turned to Naruto, a serious look on his face. "There has always been a magical presence deep inside of Faron Woods. These days, that presence has gotten stronger, and there has been a..." He fumbled with a proper word for what he had to say. "Distortion, if you will." Naruto gave him a confused but interested stare. "The forest has been silent for far too long...and I believe it is that distortion. The cause however, seems to be something that has both never been there before, but has always been there." Naruto's puzzled look caused Rusl to chuckle. "Something ancient is there Naruto, and it might help your partner." Naruto tensed. Was he talking about the Master Sword?
"Umm...Rusl...that, magical force..." Rusl held up his hand, staring at Naruto with hardened eyes.
"There is a legend...spoken among us swordsmen." He said, silencing Naruto. "A legend that tells the tale of a time where monsters will freely roam the world...where they wreck havoc across the land." Naruto looked at him in confusion. "The legend goes, that when monsters dot the land with reckless abandon, a hero will emerge from the forest, wielding The Blade of Evil's Bane." Naruto's eyes widened, suddenly becoming much more aware of the sword that was resting on his back. Rusl closed his eyes, taking another deep breath. "'Speak with your pupil, Naruto. There is something about him you need to see.' Those were the words Sarutobi said to me." He looked back up at Naruto. "It has become apparent to me that the sword you have right now really is that legendary blade." He shook his head. "You seem to have had it for some time, and though I will not question why you have it, I do know what it means." He looked out one of the nearby windows. "The children have been kidnapped, the world cries in fear of the danger to come, and through all of the darkness..." He turned back to Naruto. "A ray of light shines from the depths of the forest."
"Rusl..." Naruto started, his face somber and quiet.
"I always knew that you would leave the forest, and I always knew that you were special." He smiled to the blonde. "So no, it does not surprise me that you now carry that blade." His face became serious, focusing on the scar on Naruto's face. "It was obvious to me and Tsunami the moment you came through our doors that you were not the same person who first left this village." Naruto slowly brought a hand up to his face, lightly touching the scar that ran across his face. "But despite how much you've physically changed..." A smile lightened Rusl's face. "You're still our Naruto." Naruto's hand moved from the scar on his face to wipe the tears that had formed in his eyes.
"So..." Naruto began after a moment. "You think that there's something else in the forest..." Rusl nodded.
"You already know how to get there, and I personally don't know where exactly it is...but there is definitely something else to be found where you got that blade." He then smiled as he glanced towards the kitchen. "Sooo, quite the partner you have with you." He changed the subject, Naruto's face lighting up into a bright pink color.
"Er...uh...yeah..." He said, averting his eyes from Rusl's own. The man's eyes were filled with mirth, watching as the blonde squirmed under his gaze.
"Doesn't leave a lot to the imagination, does she?" His smile seemed to have grown bigger as Naruto started to shrink into the chair, his face becoming more red in color.
"..."
"Deja Vu, huh?" Rusl chuckled, shaking his head as Naruto looked at him in confusion.
"What do you mean?" Rusl merely started laughing before shaking his head.
"Don't worry about it. Anyway, have you been to Asuma's ranch? He sure does miss his ranchhand." He smiled, Naruto finally relaxing as a smile lit his own face. As the two began talking about the state of the village, Midna continued to glance out towards the two swordsmen from the kitchen.
"He must be quite a handful..." Tsunami said, causing Midna to turn back around and continue helping the woman. She had never helped clean after a meal...it was something only the servants had done. "...Naruto, that is." She clarified upon Midna's look of confusion.
"Oh...yes..." Tsunami giggled before putting another clean plate into a cupboard.
"You still seem quite stiff..." She smiled as she turned away from Midna. "Traveling with someone is much different than living with servants." Midna's eyes widened, the Twili spinning around and staring at the back of the housewife.
"You..." She started before Tsunami merely continued washing plates.
"I used to be a high-ranking noble, living in a faraway land." She started as she put a plate up. "I had servants, fine clothes, plenty of food..." She shook her head, her smile never leaving her face. "But I was a captive to my birthright." Midna tensed. This woman... "I was always told to focus on my work, but I always found myself staring out the windows, into the horizon." Midna slowly looked back down at the half-cleaned plate in her hands. "I always thought I'd be stuck there forever. But one day, I left." She shook her head. "Without a single bit of food, and only the clothes on my back." She giggled at the memory. "And I wasn't even out of the country before I was set upon by several monsters." She suddenly began to laugh as Midna turned away, a blush on her face. "He was so mad at me, calling me an idiot and a fool. I was so mad I asked him, 'who do you think I am!?'" Midna's eyes widened, her blush deepening as she knew exactly what he was going to say next. "He said, 'I don't care who you are or where you're from. I only see a girl whose crying and starving!'" She began to laugh again, holding a hand to her face. "And so we started traveling together. He was a swordsman trying to find a place where he could stay, and I was looking for an adventure. We both found what we were looking for, not only in this village, but in each other." Midna blushed fiercely as she turned away, glaring out at the full moon outside.
"You really like to talk about yourself..." She grumbled, Tsunami smiling as she turned off the water.
"I suppose so...but when I see a woman who is as head over heels with a man as I was..." Midna snapped her head to the black-haired woman, her face completely red. "I guess I start walking down memory lane."
"WH-WHAT MAKES YOU THINK...! ME AND HIM...!" Tsunami smiled as she walked over to Midna, putting a hand on her chest and feeling the Twili's frantically beating heart.
"No matter how prim and proper you are, your heart does not lie." She smiled, her eyes narrowing. "All that time traveling with a master swordsman, did you think I wouldn't learn how to defend myself?" Midna noticed her eyes suddenly gained a very fierce look to them. "When you have traveled in a misty forest in the middle of the night, wielding only a bow and a short-sword, you find out very quickly that your eyes will not help you, only your ears." The fierceness left her eyes as she turned and walked away. "The moment you started defending Naruto when they were talking earlier, your heartbeat quickened, and twice during my story just now it quickened again." Midna held a hand to her heart, surprised at how fast it was beating. "He will stay by your side until you leave him, whenever that may be." She then turned around, that fierce glare back in her eyes. "But betray him, and Rusl and I WILL find you." She then left the kitchen, Midna watching after the woman in shock.
"Hey, you okay?" A voice said behind her, causing her to jump. Quickly spinning around, she found Naruto watching her curiously, wondering what she had been staring at.
"Oh! Y-yeah, fine." She held a hand to her head, a blush still on her face. "I...think I'm just tired, is all..." Naruto's face lit up, realizing how late it was.
"Oh...yeah...it is, uh, getting late...and we've got a big day ahead of us tomorrow..." Naruto's blushing face couldn't look at her anymore and he turned away. However, he only found himself looking at Rusl's smug, smiling eyes. The blonde's face began sizzling in embarrassment. He was going to have to say it, wasn't he? "Ummm...er...Midna..." She slowly turned back to him, noticing his face was bright red. "Um...we could...uh...well...i-if you want...I mean..." Rusl's face told him he was enjoying the whole damn thing.
"Wh-what? What is it?" Midna began glaring at Naruto. Seriously, he'd been twitching almost the entire trip back here!
"Uh! W-w-well, umm...I...uh..."
"WHAT THE HELL IS IT!?" Midna glared at him, now pissed off. Naruto scrunched his eyes shut, his face a deep crimson.
"WE CAN SLEEP IN THE BED AT MY HOUSE!" He suddenly shouted, causing Midna to be taken aback by the sudden shout.
"Make sure to use protection!" Immediately came Tsunami's voice from the other end of the house. Both faces suddenly had steam flowing from them, Naruto snapping his head away from Midna as she slowly looked down at her feet.
"O-oh..."
"I'll sleep downstairs..." Naruto mumbled, not able to look at her anymore as Rusl laughed in the other room.
Needless to say, the walk back to Naruto's house was slow and AWKWARD AS FUCK.
Most of the lamps had been lit and everyone was already heading to bed, since the children were no longer there, but the eerie silence of the night seemed to amplify itself to the two who were walking at an awkwardly comfortable distance from each other. Finally reaching his house, Naruto took a deep breath before slowly exhaling. Hopping over the ladder, Naruto gently landed in front of the wooden door before hopping again and reaching into a hidden crack above the door. Naruto pulled his spare key out of its hole before opening up the door and putting the hidden key back in its hiding place. Naruto turned around and let Midna in first, the Twili nervously shuffling past Naruto.
Naruto honestly expected the worst. He had been gone for at LEAST a month or two now, and he was expecting his whole house to be in shambles. Any plants inside to have withered, any of the food he had, spoiled and smelling up the place...and rats. He expected lots of rats to have taken over his house, starting from the basement. Nervously walking into his strangely warm house, he found that there was already a light coming from over by his basement. Naruto tensed, quickly putting a hand in front of Midna as he reached for his sword. He slowly began moving towards the dark cellar before a coughing sound hit his ears.
"Good grief, how long am I going to have to do this!?" An irritated voice said, a hand appearing from the cellar, gripping the ladder tightly before hoisting its owner up. Naruto's eyes widened as the figure finally hoisted herself up to the ground floor.
"INO!" Naruto shouted, causing the blonde to shriek and slam her back against the wall. Her eyes widened as she saw Naruto standing there, his mouth agape and his eyes wide. She took a deep, relieved breath before letting it all out in one breath.
"Oh my god, Naruto, don't you DARE do that agai-" She suddenly stopped as she realized who she was talking to. "Wait, NARUTO!? What are you doing back!? WHEN did you get back?!" Just as Naruto opened his mouth to respond, Ino put a hand up. "Wait, nevermind, I don't care. This is your house, so you take care of it." She huffed, stomping towards the door.
"Wait, Ino, what were you-"
"DON'T CARE." She grumbled, pushing past the blonde. The door suddenly slammed shut as Naruto suddenly appeared in front of it, slamming it shut. Her eyes were wide as Naruto began glaring at her, his eyes flashing yellow.
"WHAT. WERE. YOU. DOING. HERE." He growled, Ino suddenly noticing several of Naruto's lanterns had suddenly lit themselves. She snapped her head back to Naruto, his eyes still blue. Was that just her imagination? Yellow eyes? "Well?" He grumbled as he crossed his arms, waiting for her answer. She huffed as she put her hands on her hips.
"Mayor Bo asked me to watch over your house while you were gone doing whatever it was that you were doing." She glared back at the blonde, who sighed.
"How long have you been doing this...and what have you been doing?" She twitched as the blonde put a hand to his head, taking another deep breath.
"Dusting, cleaning, mostly just making sure your house doesn't get ruined. AND I'VE BEEN DOING IT FOR A MONTH NOW." She grumbled, crossing her own arms. Naruto took a deep breath as he walked over to his fridge. Unsurprisingly, it was empty, but at least there wasn't any rot or anything. And it looked like the house was still in good condition. Even the upper floors looked nice. As Naruto hopped down from the ceiling, Ino's eyes wide in shock, Naruto reached behind him, pulling out two silver rupees.
"Thanks Ino, it looks really nice." He handed her one silver rupee. "Unfortunately, I haven't been around lately to take care of it, but even the plants look good." He smiled to her before it became a little repentant. "But...I have to head out again tomorrow, and I don't know how long I'll be gone." He handed her the other silver rupee. "I know Mayor Bo asked you to, but this time, I'LL ask you. Would you mind keeping it clean until I next get back? I'll pay you for your troubles." Ino stared first at the RARE rupees Naruto had just given to her as payment. Bo had said cleaning was her punishment for something she did a while back, before she snapped her head back up to Naruto.
"Wait, you're leaving AGAIN!?"
"Rusl asked me and a friend to meet him, that's all I'm here for."
"A friend? Whose this friend!?" She glared at Naruto before a cough caught her attention. She turned around to see Midna standing there, quirking an eyebrow at the blonde.
"Quite an interesting character..." Midna said walking up to Ino. The platinum blonde looked first at the woman's odd face and skin color before noticing she was quite rather...well endowed. And her FIGURE! Good god, she would KILL to have a body like that!
"Wh-who the hell are you!?" Ino tried sounding defiant before Midna's mischievous smirk caught her eye. Wait...that looked like something Naruto would do before he-
Her hair suddenly fell, her hair-tie vanishing as Midna began to play with it in her hands, not once ever moving.
"Interesting...I've never seen a hair-tie that looked so..." She fumbled with the right word as she began stretching it. "Cheap." She decided. Ino's face flared up in both rage and embarrassment as Midna handed it back to her, the plain hair-tie disappearing, instead having been replaced by a much nicer one that had a white flower attached to it. "Here." She handed it to the shocked blonde. "This looks better." Ino stared at the beautiful hair-tie in shock as Midna floated up to the second floor, lying down on Naruto's bed. "Naruto, I'm going to bed. I'll see you in the morning." Naruto breathed a sigh of relief as Ino stared after the woman, her eyes wide and her face paling. She just floated...FLOATED, to the second floor.
"All right Midna. Good night." Naruto said before he began pushing Ino towards the door. "I'll take it Bo gave you an extra key, right?" Naruto asked as they stood outside, Ino still looking up towards the window on the second floor. "Ino?"
"Oh! Y-yeah!" She then snapped her head back up to the window. "Naruto...WHO in the world IS SHE!?" Naruto followed her gaze back up to the window, Midna staring out the window towards the bright, glowing moon in the sky.
Naruto took a deep breath before turning back to her. "Let's just say that the children aren't the only ones in danger right now." He answered, the blonde turning back to him. "If you want more details, you can ask Rusl, but after I got the kids to Kakariko village, I was...asked, to give her a hand." Naruto fumbled with a decent response. Ino narrowed her eyes at the blonde, knowing he was not telling her everything, but sighed, shaking her head.
"Fine, I don't care anyway." She then turned around, hopping down to the ground before standing a few feet from the ladder. "This village...has become very different..." Naruto sat on the edge of his porch, next to the ladder.
"I know...I talked to Rusl."
"Asuma and Bo and Kakashi...they've been constantly on their toes, expecting another attack. Asuma's livestock is almost always panicked, everyone shuts themselves inside at night..." Naruto looked down at his feet in silence. "A lot of us can't even smile nowadays." She spun around, glaring at Naruto. "I don't care what you do...you get those kids back home soon, so everyone can relax a little bit more..."
"I will. That's why I'm working with Midna." Ino finally let a relieved smile slide across her face. The first in quite a long while.
"Good. Then I'll look after your house while you're gone." Naruto smiled back to the blonde as the full moon came out from behind several clouds, Ino finally noticing the large scar that ran across his now illuminated face. Her breath caught in her throat as Naruto's eyes crinkled into his usual foxy smile.
"Thanks Ino! I'll bring them back home if it's the last thing I do!" He laughed as Ino grimaced at his smile. She held a hand to her chest, thoughts of the time she spent taking care of his plants flashing through her mind.
"Naruto..." He blinked as he looked down to the platinum blonde. "I...me and Sakura, weren't always the nicest to you..." She started, looking down towards her feet. "But, over the last month, I've realized that you actually, really like to take care of your plants..." Naruto scratched the tip of his nose, nodding in slight embarrassment.
"I've always taken good care of gifts that I've been given..." Ino looked back up to the blonde, a worried look on her face.
"Then...make sure...that you come back with the children." Naruto looked back down to her. "Come home in one piece...so that you can keep taking care of these plants." She smiled uneasily to him. "All right?" Naruto realized what she was saying, his eyes glazing over as he touched the scar on his face.
"Yeah...I will." She flinched as he touched his scar. She slowly nodded before walking back towards the village.
"How...did he get such a scar..." She quietly wondered aloud, clenching her hand to her chest in fear and worry. That looked like a horrible wound. And yet...
"Thanks Ino!"
...he was still the same Naruto from before...
Naruto slowly walked back into his house, taking another long, deep breath before slowly exhaling. He looked around his house before walking around it. He had made some soup three days before he left, but the pots and pans were now cleaned and put away. The clothes he had washed a day before the trip were dried and folded, now resting in one of his drawers. He slowly walked over to a small chest, already opened. It was the one Rusl had put his wooden sword in. Naruto slowly took off the Master Sword and Hylian shield, putting them into the treasure chest before taking off his gauntlets and shin guards. He slowly put the armor away into the chest before quietly closing it. He walked over to his dresser, pulling out some sleep-ware before walking over to his basement, grabbing a lantern along the way. Midna watched him from his bed as he hopped down into the basement, wondering why he was still so quiet. He usually would smile and then lay on the ground or something whenever he slept, but...he seemed, hesitant to sleep now.
Make sure to use protection!
Midna's face began heating up. What the hell!? That woman was nothing but trouble! Getting her all flustered like this...
Midna quickly spun around in the bed, noticing several items lay around the bed. A small doll that had white hair and half of his face covered by a mask lay on top of one of the pillows. She glanced next to the Kakashi doll, a small, sleeping fox doll next to it. Two books lay on the windowsill next to the window she had been looking out a few moments ago. Picking them up, she noticed one was a book about the geography of Hyrule and the providences of the land, and the other...
"What's this?" She picked up the other book, finding it to be about the myths and legends of Hyrule. She slowly began reading through its chapters, noticing that there were two pages that Naruto seemed to have frequented. One was about the goddesses of Hyrule, and the other...
She gasped as she read the page. Another world, similar to our own, has been spoken of for many years. Does this parallel world hold treasure? Wealth? Or perhaps some sorrow? She noticed several scribbles and markings dotting the page, all of them Naruto's.
What if I'm from this parallel world?
Would this explain all of my weird dreams?
Would it be possible to find it?
The scribbles seemed to be old, at least five to seven years. As she began to read over the legend, she opened up the geography book, noticing that it was similar to the legend book in the fact that any maps that the book had, there were scribble marks, arrows, circles and other markings scattered across the page.
Would it be here?
Or would it be in a cave in the desert?
What if it's at the bottom of Lake Hylia?
Or maybe it's in the back of that Forest Temple!
"He's been looking...for a long time..." She said quietly, Naruto's torn face flaring across her mind.
"I'm...still only getting pieces of my memory back. I don't know why I'm getting more of them back now...but..."
Naruto, now having changed into more comfortable sleep-ware, held the lantern up as he walked around the basement. He walked around the room, lighting several candles before hanging the lantern over his savings chest. He opened it up to find, just as he had left it, it was empty. He pulled out a small leather bag, now having been filled with several hundred rupees, before putting it into the chest. He sat down as he looked up above the chest, where a sign was hung.
Funds to get my own farm!
A farm of his own. He had helped Asuma on his farm since he was seven. Asuma was the one who also introduced him to Epona. He closed his eyes, knowing she was at Kakariko village with Konohamaru and the others. Sakura would take care of her, of that he had no doubt.
He looked around the room, eyeing all of the treasures that were there. Scrolls, rocks, strange stones, knives and even a few throwing stars were scattered among the things he found out in the forest. He walked over to a certain throwing knife he had seen before, recently. He picked it up before holding it close to his face, a small stream of tears flowing down his face. He walked over to the treasure chest, stabbing the three-pronged Kunai into the top of the chest before flopping back down in front of it.
This was his basement. His detachment from the world. Anything he thought was interesting or meaningful to him, he kept it down here. Books, scrolls, weapons...anything he found in the forest that he felt had a connection with him was here.
"What do I do dad?" He said quietly, looking at the Kunai on top of the chest. "I know one day, this adventure will be over..." His lips quirked as he tried to keep the tears inside of his eyes. "But what then? Do I just stay here? Or do I go out into the world, searching for my memories?" He looked at the kunai as the tears began to fall. Ever since he started this journey, the memories started coming to him more frequently, more clearly. The more people he met, the more memories he got back. In this town, the memories were always fuzzy, and more often than not, he would forget whatever he remembered the next day. But out there...
"But here, I've got a home, people I can see everyday...people I know..." His eyes once more returned to the kunai. "Don't worry about the past...just focus on the future...that's what Rusl always says, but..." He put his head into his hands. "What am I going to do..."
Midna slowly closed the books, lying down on Naruto's bed. It felt strange, being on this bed. She turned to her side, closing her eyes. It felt like he was right next to her. She swore that if she opened her eyes, he would be right there. She quirked an eye open, only the wall greeting her vision. She slowly turned around, putting her head on the pillows. She picked up the little Kakashi doll, wondering who it was supposed to be and wondering who in the world made it. Tsunami flashed across her mind in wonder, but she ignored it. She didn't want to think of that woman.
I got tired of living there. So one day, I left.
"I need to go back...I need to go back to the Twilight Realm!"
She looked down at the fox next to the doll, switching the two. She held the fox doll in her arms, cradling it gently.
"Well excuuuuuuuuse ME princess, but I don't care who you are or where you're from."
She tightened her grip on the fox, her mind wandering to her thoughts of the blonde. Numerous scenes from their journey meandered through her mind, some funny, some irritating, others comforting.
"Will you become my bride, standing at my side and ruling over both light and twilight?"
"No! Never!"
She glared at the wall in front of her as Zant invaded her thoughts. Damn him and his stupid new powers. If he hadn't overthrown her from the castle and banished her in that accursed form...
Who are you?
Her anger began to dissipate as her thoughts returned to the blonde. She had forced him to help her get the fused shadow pieces, but then he willingly decided to help her find her way back home. He would just smile and then do the impossible.
So we began to travel together...
She clutched the fox doll tightly to her chest.
...and we found what we were looking for. Not only in this village, but in each other...
Naruto pulled himself back up onto the ground floor of his house, his tears having finally subsided. He still didn't have any answers, instead only more questions, but he had finally convinced himself to just worry about it after he had kicked Zant's ass. Walking back to the main room, Naruto grabbed a blanket and started walking over to a small hammock by the kitchen before he glanced up towards where Midna was, in his bed. A small blush crossed his face as he silently hopped up to her, not even making a squeak as he landed on his bare foot next to the bed. She lay there, sexily snuggling one of the dolls Tsunami had given him when he still lived at their house. His blush increased as he realized it was the fox one. He quickly shook his head before noticing the woman shiver lightly. Naruto quickly put a blanket over the Twili, smiling as she snuggled closer to the fox doll. No matter how high and mighty she was, she was still a child inside...
Just like you...
Naruto twitched as he looked around, not seeing anyone. He looked back to the Twili before sighing. Sitting down and leaning against the bed, he looked up to his ceiling. So much had happened since he left the village...and there was still so much he needed to do.
'I could probably go out and try and recover all of my memories, then come back and build a farm...' He mused, a smile lighting his face as he drifted off to sleep. Midna quirked an eye open and noticed Naruto's mop of blonde hair next to the foot of the bed. He shivered quietly, causing the Twili to sigh. It's not like they hadn't done this before...when he was a fox and she was an imp...
Naruto slowly began floating upwards, the blonde popping an eye open before feeling something soft press against both his side and his back. He realized he was now lying on his bed before he felt a head nuzzle into the back of his neck. The blonde's face quickly reddened as Midna snuggled closer to him, tossing the blanket over his shivering form as well. She quickly fell back asleep, Naruto's heartbeat still beating rapidly. Taking several deep breaths, Naruto finally felt exhaustion flooding over his mind, just as it had before. Deciding not to think about anything else, since it was too difficult to do so, Naruto finally let sleep take over his consciousness. He'd deal with anything that might happen in the morning.
What happens when you take two small chapters and make them into one chapter? You get a BIG ASS chapter full of fluffy stuffs.
This chapter was actually supposed to be two smaller chapters that I was originally going to space out over the next month in case I got stuck in my writing, but I felt they didn't have enough substance between them to be released as separate chapters.
In other news, it was recently brought to my attention just how OLD this story has become...almost 7 fucking years old. Holy shit this thing is ancient...and for those of you who toughed it out until the beginning of the Second Arc, after the fillers, thank you SO MUCH for your patience. I know my writing was really bad at the beginning, and despite me going back several times to edit it, it still makes me cringe when I read the beginning chapters. My story-telling and character portrayals have become much better and clearer since then, and I only have you all to thank for it, since you kept asking for more.
The beginning didn't have very much originality to it, simply following (almost room for room) Twilight Princess with some jutsu here and there, but I feel like the start of the Twilight Mirror Arc was the start of a, well, REVOLUTION for the story. So thank you all for bearing with me and Naruto as the story has finally started taking its proper shape.
YES I know I've been thanking you guys a lot lately. YES I know it's getting repetitive, but I still feel really grateful for all the support and comments you've all given me over the past 6-7 years.
I've also been writing some perverse stuff off to the side of this story, which is probably why I had WAY too much fun with Naruto's imagination as of these past few chapters, but hey, I don't think anybody minds. XD
As a BONUS for those of you who had the patience to read this whole Author's Note through, I have a question for you; Have you ever played/heard of an RPG called Fairy Fencer F? I've recently beaten the game and (aside from loving the crap out of it) have been writing a lot for it lately. Mostly just some fluffy sexy stuff about sleeping with girls and not being able to actually sleep AT ALL...but yeah. For funnziez.
Let me know if I should post anything. Thanks for reading with me!
