Ok, ok. I'm sorry. I've just been so busy with BATB, not to mention AEC, along with the ABC's! No, seriously, someone please tell me if W goes before V or not!

Not gonna do the replay...too lazy and tired right now...Oh well, here's the chapter...

Butler was sitting in the security room confused. He stared at the note Artemis left until he saw Juliet skip by the door.

"Hey, Jules." He called, her head peeked around the corner, her eyebrows raised in anticipation. "Come here." He told her.

"What is it, Dom?" Juliet asked as she entered the room, expertly checking all of the monitors in the room immediately. She looked down at the note by the control board. "What's that?"

Butler sighed, "It's a note Artemis left." He said, picking up the piece of paper and handing it to Juliet.

Juliet took one look at the note then sent a perplexed look at her brother, "Dom, it's an easy code. It says SURVEILLANCE CODE PFBDGAF2."

Butler sighed, shaking his head, "I know, I figured that out the second I picked it up. But what I don't understand is how I use it. I know the entire structure of the security in the manor." He turned back to the control panel, "I have tried every camera, lock, and computer file. Nothing has come up."

"Here, let me try." The blonde said as Butler got up, she took the vacant chair. Moving through numerous main files, and even small ones that were all password-protected, Juliet found that the code didn't work for anything under the security section in the manor.

Juliet huffed, "Well, that's weird." She said, sitting back and staring at the screen with her arms crossed.

Butler nodded absentmindedly, "Exactly."

Juliet shrugged and got up, "I would consult Foaly, if I were you. But other than that." The girl shrugged again, "I don't know." The she turned and left.

"Thanks, Jules." Butler said as she disappeared around the corner.

The bodyguard then sat down, using a monitor in front of him to contact Foaly as he dutifully watched the rest of Fowl Manor.

"What is it?" Foaly whispered harshly, looking around paranoid.

Butler raised an eyebrow. "Hello to you too." He said, somewhat sarcastically.

The centaur sighed, "Sorry. It's just that, Trouble installed security cameras into my office."

Butler looked down at the note in his hand. "Well, maybe I know how to turn them off, then go down and-"

"I already did." Foaly cut in.

"Then why are you acting like they are watching you?" Butler asked.

Foaly looked down, unlocking a bottom cabinet with three keys before removing a tinfoil hat and placing it on his head. "You can never be too sure."

Butler shook his head, sometimes that centaur could be really pathetic. "Never mind. Did you use a security code labeled PFBDGAF2?"

Foaly's eyes widened when Butler repeated the code off of the paper in his hand. "How do you know that?!" He almost screeched.

Butler looked back down at the paper, confused. "Artemis left it before Kelp took him." He looked at the centaur on the screen, "Why? Is it the security code to the cameras?"

Foaly's eyes were still wide as he shook his head, his palm going up and his hand covering his face as he shook it. "No. That was a set of cameras that I equipped after the Goblin Revolution to keep an eye on you humans. Haven't used them once."

Butler nodded, "Does Kelp know about them?"

Foaly looked surprised from this question, "No. Since Artemis could hack into every single file on my computer, no matter how encrypted, we kept it on a separate hard drive all together. Root's computer. I have it around here somewhere..." The centaur trailed off, looking around.

"Foaly!" Butler said, snapping his fingers to get his attention. "Topic, does Trouble know about these cameras?"

The centaur shook his head, "No. Root was in charge when he issued me to install them." He shrugged, "Didn't seem to be important to bring up when Trouble came to power."

Then a bip came from Foaly's side, he clicked on a few things before the centaur's eyes widened again. "It seems as though Holly tried to break Artemis out. There's going to be a separate trial in 15 minutes."

"How fast can you get the information from Root's computer and see what it is?"

Foaly looked at the manservant on the monitor. "20, at least."

Trouble snapped his fingers and pointed into the cell. Two guards came and took hold of Artemis. "What's going on?" The human asked.

Trouble smirked smugly, "I knew Holly would try and break you out. So as soon as that door opened, I was alerted." He paused before delivering the news. "I've been able to convince the council to give another trial."

Holly snarled, "Why would you do that? That only gives him another chance, not that I'm complaining."

Trouble clasped his hands behind his back, pretending to think as he walked up to the Captain. "Oh, no. You see, I persuaded the council to have another trial on whether the mud man lives or not."

Holly gasped softly, her eyes widening. She looked over at Artemis, who had a grim look on his face as he glared at the Commander.

"You can't do that Trouble." She said quietly, shaking her head. "Please...please don't."

He looked over at Artemis, then nodded to the door sharply. The guards took Artemis out.

"No!" Holly cried, trying to follow them out. But Trouble stopped her, wrapping his arm around her stomach as she struggled.

"Shh, Holly. Calm down." Trouble whispered in her ear.

Holly struggled out of his embrace, looking Trouble in the eyes, "Why are you doing this? What did Artemis ever do to you?"

Trouble shrugged, "He hurt you. Took you away from the people who could help you."

Holly shook her head as she glared at him, "He didn't, and you know it. He helped me. Hell, he saved me!"

Trouble smirked nastily, "The thing is, you don't have any proof. Why don't you start acting like your rank, and let this go, Captain."

"Yeah, well why don't you start acting like a Commander?" Holly started walking to the door. "Root would never do this."

Trouble snatched the elf's wrist as she walked by, "Sorry to disappoint you, but Root's dead. I'm Commander now, so don't give me that crap about what a late officer would do."

Holly yanked back her hand, and Trouble let it go. She left, leaving Trouble to muse about how his plan was going perfectly well.

Holly went into the court room, ready to tell everyone that Artemis brought her back to life.

But when she burst through the doors, the council didn't even seem phased that she had done so.

Artemis was on the left side of the court. He looked at Holly with a look that told her that it was hopeless. And with the council members racially against humans, it did seem so.

But Holly knew Artemis. It didn't matter how he looked or what looks he gave her, when Holly looked into her best friend's eyes, she knew he was planning something.

So Holly walked up to the council table, where all the councilmen were for the trial.

"Miss Short," one of them greeted. "Commander Kelp told us that you might have a few words to say this evening."

Holly nodded, glancing back to see Trouble stride into the room. He smirked and inside, Holly sneered at the sight of it. She turned her attention back to the council in front of her.

"Yes," Holly replied. "I am here, alive, because of Artemis Fowl. He may have gone against The Commander's word, but Fowl saved me. He never harmed me, and I am living proof of that, standing here today."

The council members murmured to each other for a moment and one member in the middle stood up, clearing his throat.

"The council has come to conclusions that Captain Holly Short is not viable to give statements due to the influence of her time with humans Artemis Fowl, Domovoi Butler, and Juliet Butler."

"What?!" Holly said, her face distorted with disbelief.

"Now if you please Miss Short, sit down while the council reaches the decision." The one member said before sitting down again and began discussing with the others.

Holly turned around and stomped to a bench on the right side of the room. She sat in a huff and thought to herself.

The council didn't care whether Artemis lived or not. He posed as a threat in their minds, even after everything, because he was a human and humans could not be trusted. Well...other humans...

She shifted uncomfortably, deep into her thoughts as the council members discussed more. Trouble sat down next to her, still smirking.

Holly sighed when she realized he was next to her. "My question still stands." She muttered. "Why are you doing this?"

Trouble nodded his head, not looking at the elf next to him, "I'll explain when this is over."

The Council members quieted down then, the one who stood before standing now to direct the verdict.

"The council has unanimously voted. We find Artemis Fowl guilty. He is to be executed immediately."

Now it's gonna be like.. two years before I post! ;)
