Chapter Fifty Four
As we left Ash, Brock and Dawn. Dawn haves earn her third ribbon and now our heroes are on their way to Cinnabar Island for the Wallace Cup competition.
Route 20 (2:49 p.m.)
Dawn: Hey guys look!
Brock: What is it?
Ash: That's Cinnabar Island!
Dawn: I can't wait to earn my fourth ribbon in two days.
Brock: Now don't to get excited; remember what happen at the Cerulean Gym?
Dawn Ohh right; I forgot. I just get to excited that it's hard for me to focus.
Ash: Hey let's get off board, we are here already.
The trainers got off board of the cruise ship and Dawn spotted Zoey taking a zip from a cup of tea at the nearby café.
Dawn: Hey it's Zoey!
Zoey: Well it's been a while Dawn, Ash and Brock. How have you all been since the last time we've met?
Ash: We have been great.
Brock: So the Wallace Cup is being held for two days, is that right?
Zoey: Yeah and both the appeal rounds and battles are only for double performance.
Dawn: I know who I'll be using for the appeal round.
Ash: Who?
Dawn: That's a secret.
Ash: Awwh!
Zoey: Hey let's inside for you to register Dawn.
Dawn: Right, let's go.
The four trainers head inside the contest hall and both Dawn and Ash spotted Kenny who is registering.
Dawn: Hey it's Kenny.
Ash: Yeah you're right.
Both trainers walk up to Kenny.
Dawn: Hi Kenny.
Kenny: Oh hey Dawn and Ash. It has been awhile hasn't?
Ash: It sure has.
Kenny: So Dee-Dee ready to the contest tomorrow?
Dawn: The name is not Dee-Dee!
Kenny: I'm only kidding, so I'll be seeing you two later.
Ash: Alright, we'll see you later.
A random Beautifly landed on Dawn's head.
Dawn: Huh?
Ash: There's a Beautyfly on your head Dawn.
Dawn: Hey have we seen this Beautifly before?
Ash: I think its….
May: Hey you guys.
Dawn: It's May!
May: Hey Ash and Dawn, it's been so long we have seen each other hasn't it?
Dawn: Yeah it's been almost two years since the first Wallace Cup we have competed with each other.
May: I know right. So are you two traveling together in Kanto?
Ash: Yeah me, Dawn are now traveling with Brock again since he'd stay here at Kanto while me and Dawn travel through the Unova region together.
May: Hey I was in Unova for a week just a few months ago.
Dawn: Ash competed in the Unova League and won the whole thing.
May: Wow it's about time you won the Pokémon League.
Ash: Hey what does that mean?
May: Just nothing but congrats on winning though.
Brock later joins the three in the conservation.
Brock: Ahh May, I didn't except to see you here.
May: Hey Brock, it's been awhile.
Brock: Yes it has been.
Ash: You see during my and Dawn's travels through Unova. Brock stayed at Kanto to study as a Pokémon Doctor and he's now graduated. So he's a doctor on the road while traveling with us.
May: That's great to know that you are a doctor Brock.
Brock: Thanks and how are your Pokémon doing?
May: Every well, here let me call them out.
May grabs her five Pokéballs and threw them into the air and called out her Blaziken, Munchlax, Venasuar, Blastiose and Glaceon.
Ash: Wow your Bulbasuar and Wartortle evolved!
May: Yup and I also found a way to make both Venasuar and Blastiose to evolve again.
Ash: Wait you know about Mega Evolution?
May: Yeah, why do you?
Ash: Yeah I had my Charizard and Heracross mega evolve before back at Cerulean City. I just need to evolve my Gabite into Garchomp for it to mega evolve.
May: That's great and I didn't notice your Mega Ring since mine is actually a ring to wear on my finger.
Dawn: Hey would you like to see some of the Pokémon that I caught in the Unova region?
May: Sure, I would be happy to see your Pokémon.
Dawn: Okay spotlight everyone!
Dawn calls out her Butterfree, Quilava, Buneary, Sylveon and Sawsbuck.
May: Wow I never seen that Pokémon before.
May pulls out her new Kalos region Pokédex which is tan to scan Sylveon.
Pokédex: Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokémon and the evolved form of Eevee. It wraps its ribbonlike feelers around the arm of its beloved Trainer and walks with him or her.
May: Wow a new Eevee evolution form that I have never seen before.
Dawn: It also a Fairy type which was recently discovered in the Kalos region by Professor Sycamore.
Ash: He also is doing some research on Mega Evolution to see what other Pokémon that can mega evolve.
May: That's amazing. Hey how about we head outside for lunch.
Brock: ….and I'll be the cook.
Zoey: Oh hey May, long time no see.
May: Hey Zoey, how have you been?
Zoey: Very well and you?
May: Just great, I just came here from Sinnoh since I'm competing there for the Grand Festival.
Zoey: How many ribbons have you won?
May: I got four so far and all I need is one more to go.
Zoey: That's great; I only got three so far.
Brock: Hey Zoey want to join us in lunch?
Zoey: Sure and thanks for the invitation.
Brock: You're welcome.
May: Brock's cooking is the best I have ever eaten.
The group of five head outside and Brock is preparing lunch and Ash decides to help out Brock.
Brock: Thanks for the help Ash.
Ash: It's no problem.
Pikachu: Pika Pika?
Brock: You want to help us out Pikachu?
Pikachi: PIKA!
Brock: Okay then use Iron Tail to cut the vegetables.
Pikachu: Pika Pi!
May: Pikachu is sure a big help and since when did Ash help out in cooking?
Dawn: He learn from Brock before we head to the Unova region.
May: So where are you going to head next after the Grand Festival?
Dawn: Well I've decided to go to Kalos with both Ash and Brock but before I go there I want to visit my Mom since it's been so long I have seen her.
May: I just know how you feel Dawn. I miss both my parents and Max.
Ash: Here's lunch everyone.
Pikachu: Pika Pi!
Dawn: Thanks sweetie.
Ash: You're welcome sweetheart.
May: Awwh are you dating?
Dawn: Yeah we have been dating over a year since we both began our journey through Unova.
May: That's so sweet, congrats to both you.
Dawn: Thanks.
Brock: So everybody dig in.
Everyone began to eat and after ten minutes has passed. Everyone has finished their meal and they began to pack things up and went to find a hotel.
Ash and Brock are both sharing rooms while the girls are sharing a room of their own.
Cinnabar Hotel (5:39 p.m.)
Brock: So Ash, what do you think the gym leaders in the Kalos region will be like over there?
Ash: Thinks me but I do know that Alexa's younger sister is a gym leader who used Bug type Pokémon. So I might catch a Flying or Fire type in Kalos. I'll be taking Pikachu with me only on our next journey.
Brock: I see well I'll be running to the store and is there anything that you need while I'm over there?
Ash: No thanks but I'll be back to, me and Pikachu are going for a walk around the island.
Brock: Alright then, I'll see you later.
Ash: Right.
Ash and Pikachu left the hotel for a walk around the island.
Ash: You know Pikachu; we have been best friends for seven years.
Pikachu: Pika!
Ash: Remember when we first met at Professor Oak's lab? How you never like me before and ever since the incident with the Spearows. We became friends.
Pikachu: Pikachu!
Ash: Come to think of it, I remember a Pikachu I have encounter back at Professor Oak's coral. It was back at Camp Pallet Town. That Pikachu tried to shock me and my friend because I just wanted to get closed to it but Professor Oak later caught that Pikachu in a Pokéball with a bolt on the ball. Were you that Pikachu?
Pikachu is thinking and he remembering try to defend itself from a young raven hair boy and a girl with a straw hat.
Pikachu: Pi Pikachu!
Ash: It was you and the reason why you didn't like me is because you were scared and you try to defend yourself.
Pikachu: Pika Pika!
Ash: You don't have to apologize Pikachu; I'm the one need to apologize to you for trying to grab you when I was a kid. I'm glad that I slept in or else I wouldn't be with you in our journey.
Pikachu: Piika!
Ash: Hey let's head back.
Pikachu: Pika!
A strange man with long hair and glasses appear in front of Ash.
Ash: Ahhh!
Pikachu PIIII!
Both of them got scared from the strange old man appearing from nowhere.
Blaine: It's been a long time hasn't it Ash?
Ash: Huh; wait are you Blaine the Gym Leader of the Cinnabar Gym?
Blaine: You guess right Ash; follow me you two I have something to talk about.
Ash: Umm sure; let's go Pikachu.
Pikachu: Pika!
Blaine brought Ash and Pikachu at the Cliffside of the volcano.
Blaine: See that island far out to the east?
Ash: Yeah what about it?
Blaine: It was a research facility that I used to work there.
Ash: What happen to the facility?
Blaine: It was destroyed by a powerful Pokémon that me and some other scientists have created from a DNA example of Mew.
Ash: Mew!
Blaine: Yes, Mew. The Pokémon of all Pokémon. The Pokémon that we've clone from Mew is known…
Ash: Mewtwo!
Blaine: Huh, you know about Mewtwo?
Ash: Yeah I met a Mewtwo when I was traveling through the Johto region.
Blaine: I see; well I have heard many numerous reports of a mysterious Pokémon just recently living in the Cerulean Cave near Cerulean City.
Ash: I was told about strong Pokémon living there but only Pokémon League champions of the Kanto region can go in. I have won the Unova League but I guess they won't let me in till I have become the champion here in Kanto. But I do have legendary Pokémon but the thing is that it won't fit through the cave so I'm out of luck.
Blaine: What is this legendary Pokémon that you are talking about?
Ash: Reshiram, the legendary dragon Pokémon of the Unova region.
Blaine: I see, well I better get going and I'll be here for you to challenge the gym here in two years for the next Indigo League. If you're going to participate.
Ash: I will.
Blaine: Great; I better get going. I'll see you in two year Ash and Pikachu.
Ash: Right, let's go back to the hotel Pikachu.
Pikachu: Pika!
Ash and Pikachu went back to his hotel room and decides to go to bed early.
Meanwhile at the girl's room.
May: So I heard that the Kalos region are going to have Pokémon Contest there.
Dawn: Yeah I have heard about that by Professor Sycamore.
Zoey: You after the Grand Festival is over here in Kanto, I decided to go to Kalos as well.
Dawn: That's great; well I'll be right back. I'm going to check up on Ash.
May: Okay.
Zoey: Alright.
Dawn left her room and went towards Ash and Brock's room and she knock the door but no answer. She open the door and finds Ash sleeping quietly.
Dawn's Mind: He's looks so cute when sleeping like that.
Dawn: Goodnight Ash and Pikachu. (as she said while whispering)
Brock: Oh hi Dawn; what you're up too?
Dawn: Oh I was checking up on Ash and Pikachu but they're both sleeping.
Brock: I see.
Dawn: Well I better go back to my room, goodnight.
Brock: Goodnight to you too.
Brock enters the room and places his stuff near his bed and goes to bed.
Dawn and the other girls go to sleep too as the sky was dark with beautiful stars shining in the night sky.
