Demi Lanzerr, 17, D7F

I am awoken by the blood curdling screech of bats, they're everywhere, like a cloud of black bodies and red eyes they're instantly upon me. I don't even bother to grab anything except my axe, I just swing at one of them and start sprinting, they're almost guiding my somewhere, they're making me run in one direction and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. And I hate that! I'm just screaming and sprinting as fast as I can, avoiding the bat's teeth and claws. I know it's something the Game maker's want to do, they're driving me towards the other tributes.

I'm free, I'm back at the cornucopia, the golden horn, spattered with red but still in all its glory and is surrounded by three tributes. Cyrus is on the left and so is Michael, I'm on the right and that career from one is standing right outside of the horn. We have to attack, we have to, the Game maker's want these games to finish. I let out a battle cry and charge, not towards Shine nor Michael, I swing my axe right at my district partner.

He just about ducks, suddenly the girl from one joins the fray –who I notice has one hand and a sword taped to a stump- swing at me and I dodge that by pivoting. Michael stabs his glaive forwards towards Shine but she redirect the blow and uses her foot to kick him in the chest and he's knocked off his feet and onto the floor. I whirl around and swing my axe at her stomach but she jumps back, even with one arm she's good.

But I ignore that and I go for my one target, and that target is Cyrus.

Cyrus Redick, 18, D7M

I can't believe she's trying to attack me, I quickly dodge another one of her swings and sprint away, breaking away from the little brawl but Demi follows me, now Michael and Shine are fighting and Demi wants to fight me. "What are you doing?!" I yell out as I block one of her strong swings with my saw. "I'm ending this Cyrus, I may be special to you but you're just not special to me." She says. Those words feel like a rusty knife has been stabbed into my stomach, they hurt. Those words make me feel like I'm nothing.

She takes another swing at me and I dodge, I don't want to kill her! She keeps on swinging at me like, fire in her eyes, a warrior's intent. I could kill her but what would I gain from it? I don't want victory, I want her to be victorious, I don't have anything back home. Not even my own mother cares about me, she's known for years, I've met her big family, she's one of the oldest, they need her, no one needs me. I takes another swing and I half heartedly block it. And I realize what I need to do.

I step back and let my saw drop. "Come on Demi, end it, let me go out the way I want to go." I say to her, she looks surprised by this. She hesitates, she's just staring at my exposed chest, come on, she can just axe me in the chest right now! So why won't she? "W-w-why?" She asks me, her voice cracking, she's hesitating now?! "Because, because, D-demi I, I love you, which is why you have to do this." I say. I lift my arms so they're facing the sides, leaving my front totally open.

She sniffs and grips her axe tight, and with a heavy heart she swings the axe right at me chest. I simply close my eyes and the axe is embedded in my chest, I let out a gasp and almost cry out in pain but I won't, I won't show weakness in my final moments. She wrenches the axe from my chest. I just hope I helped her get home, I hope that she will go home because Demi has to win. I fall backwards, my back hitting the ground with a thud.

Please win this Demi, you're the only one that deserves it.

My head then lolls to the side and I know my time here is done, I give up simply, I feel the blood slowly leak from my chest and I know I'm done.

It's over.

Michael Ishkavik, 18, D6M

The canon startles me and Shine, we had been fighting but no major hits were dealt. We both looked and saw Cyrus's corpse on the ground and bleeding, I expect Demi to turn on us but she simply looks at it, she's looks like she's going to cry. I then hear here muttering words. "Why did I leave you Cyrus? Why did you have to say those words to me?" She's definitely sobbing, she lets her weapon slip from her grasp and I realize this is the perfect opportunity. I turn around and bring my glaive towards her head, but she hears my footsteps and turns around, what was originally supposed to split her skull only ends up severing her left ear.

"How does it feel to lose a part of you seven?! Now you know I felt!" I snarl, there's nothing but hatred and a thirst for vengeance in my voice, she severed my ear and I severed hers, an eye for an eye (or more like an ear for an ear). She looks shocked and yells out in horrible pain, holding the hole where her ear used to be, I see her eyes widen and I quickly move, I hear the footsteps, and then I see Shine, stabbing at Demi with her sword. Her sword enters the girl's chest and goes all the way through until I see it appear, bloodied and ugly, on the other end. Demi gasps, her tears still glistening on her face as Shine smiles and yanks the blade out of her chest.

"You lose bitch! You lose! No one messed with Shine Luxer and wins!" She screams, almost drunk from her victory.

I feel the guilt welling up inside me, I helped her die, all in a fit of rage. But I want to go home.

And now it's just me and Shine to vie for the crown.

Cyrus Redick- Like most of the tributes alive at this point probably one of my favorite tributes in the games. If not THE favorite. So why didn't you win? Simply because of Demi, the whole reason you went into the games is because Demi went into the games and it wouldn't have made any sense for you to kill her. I'm sorry man but you were such an awesome tribute. R.I.P.

Demi Lanzerr- Why did I kill you off? Well when I kill tributes off I try to take everything into account and what would make more sense. And the thing is that Michael and Shine both had a vendetta against you. You took Michael's ear and you embarrassed Shine's career pack. After you killed Cyrus and you had no one to defend you it was basically a 2v1 situation and those never end well. You were a cool tribute for sure. R.I.P.
