AN:
Before the chapter starts I wanna thank my wonderful reviewers TheAmazingQwerty, KKKstories & Chocolatepie277!
IMPORTANT:
This chapter is about the stuff that happened regarding Seto. I thought very long about it and decided to represent the official explanation here, because it fits with the following chapters. I actually researched a lot as you will see in the next chapters and I'll try to stay as realistic as possible. (In this story) I don't blame Mitch entirely for what happened. Team Crafted is responsible as well - as is Seto. Decisions were made for a reason.
Keep in mind that this is not a place to hate on Youtubers, the story or me, those comments will be deleted. Of course you can write down your opinion; if anyone is interested in my personal view on things they can pm me here or on twitter.

Chapter 12:
The big Wave
[Still flashback]
"Oh Mitch…"
Jerome sighed, stroked his face with his hands and kept quiet for a moment. Mitch's heart sank and unconsciously he slumped further into the chair he was sitting on. Slowly his best friend looked up again, regarded him for another moment and then finally said, "You know this might get ugly. But I see where you're coming from."
Surprised Mitch raised his eyebrows and asked hesitantly, "You do?"
"Yeah, under those circumstances the decision is reasonable. The guys will see where you're coming from if you explain it like you just did."
"Okay," Mitch uttered with obvious relief and slipped off of the chair, but the feeling just lasted for a short time. Jerome's approval of his suggestion didn't mean that the guys had to see it the same way, no matter how well he meant it. Still it felt good to have Jerome's backup and the uncertainty disappeared a bit.
There had been a reason why Mitch had kept quiet about the idea for quite some time now. "Thanks buddy. I needed that."
While Mitch went over to the door, Jerome got out of his bed and held him back for another moment.
"I'll have your back, no matter what. You know that, right?"
With a big and honest smile on his face Mitch turned around again to give his friend a hug. "I know and I can't thank you enough for that."
Two hours later every member of Team Crafted was up and about and had eaten breakfast. Nervously Mitch walked up and down the living room while Adam observed him skeptically. With crossed arms he leaned on the wall near the door and kept his eyes glued to his boyfriend. After another minute he finally snapped.
"Okay, what the heck is wrong?! Tell me what's bothering you. Otherwise I'll have to take drastic measures!"
Even though the talk with Jerome had worked out alright and helped him with his decision, Mitch was still incredibly nervous. After all it was a matter that couldn't be taken lightly. Before Adam could carry out his threat, Mitch stopped and turned to him. "Can you please call everyone down? I have to talk to you guys about something important."
Adam froze and stared at Mitch. Of course he took his words the wrong way.
"Oh my god. Are you alright?"
Even before he finished saying his frightened words, he pushed himself off of the wall and approached Mitch with a few steps. "Yes, I'm okay, please don't worry." The tense muscles of his boyfriend relaxed visibly and Mitch couldn't hold back the soft smile. "Still it's something very serious that I have to talk to you guys about. Can you get them?"
"Sure, dear." A quick kiss on his lips, then Adam turned around and went to the hallway.
A few minutes later nearly the whole group was gathered in the living room and occupied the seating accommodations. They were as curious as Adam but waited until the last one arrived. Immediately the guys quieted down and looked up at Mitch, who took a deep breath and began with a low voice.
"Over the last weeks there have been different situations in which I-"
For a moment he stopped, stared at the ground and looked for the right words, only to find out that there were none. Not for what he had in mind. A doubtful glance crossed his face as he took a deep breath and continued.
"I think we should talk about Seto's position in Team Crafted."
There was a dead silence while everyone stared at him with emotionless expressions. Quickly Mitch proceeded, before they could slaughter him.
"We are not only a group of guys, who like to play games for people on the internet. We may have started off as exactly that, yes, but as far as I see it, we grew into being far more than that. Think of all the countless events, all the meetings for the fans and the people we met so far. We are doing a lot of stuff that involves us in person – the whole team. Except for one person."
"I think I know where this is going," Jason interrupted him with a frown on his face, but Jerome replied calmly, "Let him talk first. Just hear him out."
The anxiety of the guys died down again and before Mitch continued, he threw his friend a thankful glance.
"Seto has always appreciated his privacy and he has every right to do so. But Team Crafted is about exactly that – being there for the fans in person, doing the different photo shoots for example or cooperate with other companies. You heard Jennifer when she was here the last time. She has quite some trouble with them, because they want the whole Team."
"So what do you suggest, Mitch?"
Ty had an unusual cold tone in his voice, nonetheless he was right. Mitch had to come to the point and finally say it.
"I suggest that we remove him from Team Crafted."
Mitch had expected that hell would break loose, but nothing happened.
Slowly he continued.
"It's just about… this official thing. That way we can represent us - Team Crafted - better and it's easier, especially for Jennifer. And it wouldn't change anything. We can still record with him, we can still be friends and he can continue to protect his privacy. Nothing would be different, except for the fact that he wouldn't be a member of Team Crafted anymore. That's it."
Finally they started to move and exchange glances, before Ty snorted and exclaimed, "You've got to be kidding me, right?"
The discussion started before Mitch had the possibility to reply to him.
"Why? The reasons are understandable, aren't they?" Ian asked and looked around. "And we do no harm. It's just an official thing, nothing in the background changes. We continue to record with him and are friends via Skype as we were before."
"But we can't just-"
Ty shook his head, took a deep breath and continued, "What if he decides to do it? What would you do, if he actually wants to get more involved soon and you're just telling him that he's out?!"
Another moment of silence occurred, until Adam raised his head and looked his best friend in the eyes. "Do you really expect that to happen, Ty? I know him for years now and he never told me his name. Not once, Ty. Not even his name."
Ty kept quiet but didn't stop watching Adam.
In hopes of still being able to convince him, Mitch took a step forward and started again,
"Look Ty, I understand your worries, I really do. But if we explain it the right way to him, the way we actually mean it, he will understand it for sure."
Somehow he must have chosen the wrong words, because in the next moment Ty stared at him with an untypical look in his hidden eyes. "Don't tell you are that dumb, Mitch. Do you seriously believe that?!"
Jerome got off of his chair in an instant, exclaiming an irritated "Hey!" and taking a step forward, but Mitch was surprised in a different way. For Ty, who usually was rather shy and caring, to have an outburst like that… Maybe he should have waited longer. Maybe Ty was right. But then again the others seemed to agree so far, didn't they?
Ty raised his hands and stood up.
"I'm out of here. Sorry, but no. Count me out!"
Ian sighed, Jerome watched him as he went to the door and the rest kept quiet. The decision seemed to be final, nonetheless Ty stopped and turned around one more time. Looking into his eyes, Mitch couldn't find the anger that had been there before – instead Ty compressed his lips, thought for another silence filled moment and finally said,
"I don't think you are aware of the consequences, Mitch. Because there will be some, no matter how good your intention may be. It's just wrong."
Then he left.
A movement from the corner of Mitch's eye grabbed his attention and the bad feeling in his stomach grew, as Adam hurried towards the doorway. In the moment he passed his boyfriend his walk slowed down and he threw a glance over his shoulder. Hesitant, uncertain and wary. It was like a punch in the gut. Adam tried to smile at him, but it didn't reach his eyes and actually did more harm than good. He disappeared through the doorway and Jerome went over to stand by Mitch's side.
"You did the right thing, buddy."
Mitch still stared at the doorway and thought of Ty's warning.
"Either that," he mumbled, "or I just did the biggest mistake of my life."
The look on Adam's face lingered in his memory, no matter how hard he tried to tell himself that it was nothing.
And his bad feeling turned out to be right.
