Hey guys I am so so so sorry it's been so long since I last updated I
became so busy, and then I just kinda forgot about this story. But I
promise I will finish it no matter what. I also want to mention how sad I
was to hear about Cory's death. He was an amazing person and although
Finn could be an idiot sometimes, he was one of my favorite characters.
He was so genuine and adorable, both Cory and Finn. Also, I have been
watching season 5... not impressed although I do like Dani and Starchild
:). Everything else is meh, especially the McKinley side. Anyways here is
chapter 7 of Still the One.
Blaine pulled up to the front of McKinley High and motioned for Brittany
to get out. She unbuckled her seat belt and slid out of the car.
"Are you absolutely sure you need your stuffed unicorn for our trip to
New York?" Blaine asks her raising his eyebrow.
"Yes, I cannot go anywhere without Sprinkles, he's my guardian angel,"
Brittany replies smiling.
"Fine, but hurry up."
Brittany makes her way into the crowded hallways, the final bell had just
rung and it was chaos. Brittany ducked as a paper airplane flew towards
her and pushed past two freshman making out to get to her locker. She
quickly unlocks her locker and grabs Sprinkles. As she is rushing down
the hall to return to Blaine she passes the Choir room and spots Finn
tiredly ruffling though some papers.
"Hey Finn," Brittany says.
Finn looks up from his papers and smiles his famous half smirk,"Hey Brit
where were you today?"
"Me and Blaine went to the Airport to catch Santana before she left but we
didn't make it in time and now we are going to see her in New York so I
can tell her I love her and Blaine is driving me so he can tell Kurt he's
sorry and because I failed all 7 of my driving tests I mean how was
I supposed to know which pedal was the break-"
"Woah woah Brit, slow down. So you and Blaine are going to New York?" He
asks curiously. The blonde nods her head smiling. "Mr. Schue gets back
Monday, so my time here is over. Could I come with you guys. I miss
Rachel so much and I cannot stand the thought of her and that Brody guy
together. I just want to have one more chance." Finn tells her
desperately.
"Hmmmmmmm, well only if you pay for gas," The dancer answers him.
"You got yourself a deal," Finn says jumping up from his seat,"Only one
problem though, I'm broke."
Blaine sat impatiently tapping his fingers on the steering wheel. 'What
the heck is taking so long?'Blaine wonders. All annoyance disappears as
he spots Brittany and Finn making their way to his car.
"By the way, Finn is coming with us," Brittany tells him as they hop into
the car.
"Fine by me, but we will have to stop at his house also."
At each house they quickly packed a bag and ran out the door before any
parents could return home expectantly. "I hope this is worth it..."
Blaine mumbles to himself after dragging Brit's 3 duffel bags out of her
door and into his car. Finally they are on the road. Blaine glances at
the car clock. 4:30. They will have to stop at a motel in a few hours
there is no way he's driving all night.
"Ugh are we there yet this is so boring," Brittany whines from the
passenger seat.
"Brit, it's been 3 minutes..." Finn told her reaching over the seat and
patting her shoulder.
"Hmm, well we should do something to pass the time, like 20 questions."
"OK what category?" Finn asks.
"People we know!" She answers,"I'll go first," the dancer tells them
clapping her hands.
"Are you a man?"
"No"
"A women?"
"Yes"
"In glee club?"
"Yes"
"Is it Santana?"
"Wow you are good," Brittany stares at Finn in wonder
"Ok your turn"
"Ok got one."
"Are you a women?"
"Yes"
"In glee club?"
"Yes"
"In a wheelchair?"
"Brit, Artie is a guy."
"Not true, robots do not have genders."
Finn just stares at her blankly so she continues.
"Are you a hobbit?"
"No..."
"Hmm do you complain about everything and act like you are better than
everyone else, when you used to be really nice and people liked you
then?"
"Yes"
"You are Tina!"
"Yeah!" Finn yells.
"Enough this is giving me a headache," Blaine complains,"Plus no one has
broken out into song in at least 12 hours and I'm having withdrawals."
"We can fix that." Brittany smirks, "We will just sing to whatever comes
on the radio. Brittany turns on the radio and cranks up the volume. The
sound of Gangnam style blares throughout the car.
"No anything but that!" Blaine screams and changes the station in a
panic. U can't touch this replaces the sound of Gangnam Style.
"Yes this is my jam!" Finn says.
Brittany and Finn began to dance in their seats while singing out "You
can't touch this" over and over because that's the only lyrics
they know.
Blaine groans and rolls his eyes. 17 more hours of this...
"Ugh, my dance teacher is killing me," Rachel whines as she sinks into
Kurt and her's couch,"I am more sore than that time Mr. Schue made us
take booty camp before Nationals."
"Maybe you should drop her class..." Kurt offers shrugging his shoulders.
Rachel stared at him mouth agap."Rachel Berry is not a quitter," She tells
him matter o factly. Before Kurt can reply there is a knock at the door
and she swears she can hear the sound of 'Girl on Fire' coming to a
close. She hops up,momentarily forgetting her soreness, and runs to open
the door, hoping it is Brody here to surprise her. Well she got a
surprise all right as she comes face to face with the infamous Santana
Lopez.
"Um Santana what are you doing here?" Rachel asks her cocking her head.
Santana moves past her, and rolls her suitcase to the center of the
apartment.
"I'm moving in," She smirks.
What Rachel does next surprise Kurt and Santana. She squeals in
excitement.
"Oh this is so great! I love Kurt but I really would love to have another
girl around," Rachel said, her eyes shining.
Santana looks at her in amazement, then replies,"I know I made your life
a living hell in high school, but I always secretly liked you Berry-I
mean Rachel. We are definitely going to have some fun," she says wagging
her eyebrows.
Rachel and Kurt laugh and offer to help her unpack. 'Maybe it really will
be fun' Kurt thinks.
Ugh I know it's short but I promise I will update more often. I want to
mention 2 things though. 1 I am going to incorporate the Diner the New
Yorkers work at and Dani, I know that is season 5 stuff but I feel like
it is necessary for the way I want to have this story go. 2nd I am not
sure how long of a drive it is from Lima to New York so bear with me here
please. Thank you to all who read this story and to anyone who still
