Chapter 30

After what seemed like way too many months it was finally time . I was in the hospital being induced to go into labor . '' Rose , we are about to meet our little boy . '' Adrian sat next to the bed , holding my hand in his . We did not expect that I would go into labor so soon but I was already having contractions .

'' Im scared Adrian . '' I blurted tears welled in my eyes , I started breathing heavily a panic attack coming on.

'' Why are you scared .'' Adrian wiped my tears away and squeezed my hand tighter . '' What if he doesn't come out safely ? what if I am not a good mother ? what-'' Adrian stopped my rambling and kissed me , distracting me and giving me a moment to calm down . '' Everything is going to be fine , we have some of the best doctors around and I would never let anything happen to you or him .'' His eyes were warm , looking into them I did believe everything would be fine .

'' I also know that you are going to be a amazing mother . '' He kissed me lightly one more time and I groaned as pain shot through me , it lasted longer than the last one . '' damn it .'' The next contraction came and did not stop .

'' Looks like your baby is coming . '' The doctor came in taking a look . '' I need you to push Rose . '' The doctor told me . I did not want to , it was so painful !

'' Push ! '' I did what he said and don't know how I didn't pass out from so much pain . '' come on , you can do it . '' Adrians voice said , I didn't look because my eyes were squeezed shut .

'' Push , one more time . '' The doctor told me and I did a moment later the pain subsided and I heard the cry of a baby . I opened my eyes . '' congratulations on your healthy baby boy . '' The doctor handed me the baby after Adrain cut the umbilical cord.

God he was beautiful , more beautiful than anything I could even imagine . '' We did it Adrian . '' I looked up at him .'' I love you .'' He kissed my forehead .

Five years later

I watched the Children run around in the park , Liam my first born had just turned five , beautiful boy with my dark hair and tan skin but Adrians eyes just like I wanted . He takes after his father in about every way , his relaxed and peaceful attitude . My girl Ava who is four on the other hand looks just like her father , hair color , skin tone and eyes she however acts just like me . sometimes I hear her speak and it amazes me just how much she sounds like me .

'' Ava , do not hit you brother .'' Adrian called from behind me , I smiled to look at him . I got up and gave him a kiss . We sat down together. Who would have imagined our lives to be what they are today ? I thought I would be with Dimitri , I would be a guardian and that would be enough . Little did I know I had let go of the love of my life and was lucky enough to get him back and be blessed with the most amazing life .

My job protecting my best friend . Married to the most amazing man with wonderful children , I am not sure what else I could have in life that would make me any happier than I already am .

'' I love you . '' I leaned my head against his shoulder . '' I love you more little dhampire . ''
